This place has the best breakfast tacos I've ever had, and the green salsa is absolutely perfect. The tacos take a considerable amount of time to make, but it's worth waiting for quality. The donuts are also absolutely fantastic and the selection is up there as far as donut shops go.

We just moved here to the area and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg at Shipley's (34 bucks for a dozen kolaches?!) so my husband did some googling and found this place and OMG. The pics posted don't do this place justice. The kolaches and other food items are HUGE for the price, and the small kolaches are the size of the large ones at most other places. The glazed donuts are better than Shipley's and melt-in-your-mouth soft enough to be on-par with Krispy Kreme (only fatter and bigger donuts. 😋) We still spent 34 bucks but walked away with a dozen small kolaches AND a dozen glazed donuts. I haven't tried their tacos or coffee yet, but I WILL be coming back. This immediately has become our go-to!

Best donuts and kolaches in Houston. I don't even live in Houston anymore but every now and then, my wife and I will take a day off work to drive down and get our favorites. Devil's food stuffed full of chocolate cream, Bavarian cream filled and chocolate topped eclairs, and spicy kolaches. Everything here will be great no matter what you order. They make everything fresh down to the tacos.

Yes!!! I have literally driven past Sunmit Dounts for the last three years. My cousin came to visit me from WDC and suggested we stop since we were a little hungry. It did NOT disappoint. I will be stopping by today before I start my detox on Monday.

I love this place and have been coming here for so long. The donuts are soft and nicely glazed and the tacos are delicious!! It can’t recommend this place enough you just have to try it for yourself

I love going to this donut place! The donuts kolaches and breakfast tacos are so delicious. The problem I have with it is the cleanliness of the shop. Half the time the chairs and floor all over are dirty, and while I realize that this can happen in donut places, I come extremely early to the place, and I don’t think people really come at 4-5 am. Anyways, extremely good food, but cleanliness and upkeep could be a little better.

Such delicious breakfast tacos, coffee and donuts! Very authentic and great prices! Got the western taco and it hit the spot. Flour tortillas were made on the spot and the bear claw was so yummy and flavorful.

Best breakfast tacos in town. The donuts are great, too! So happy they have reopened after an extensive remodel. There are a couple of tables inside but it's mainly carry-out. Bonus new Baskin Robbins ice cream next door!

Great local alternative. Donuts are yum. Can actually get 'old fashion' here. Kolaches are yum. Large and small. Breakfast tacos and sandwiches available. Coffee and other drinks too. Tip: call your taco order in ahead of time. Come early or expect a bit of a line. Moves quickly though. Love supporting our local / small businesses!

This is a fabulous local place with almost a cult following; there was great mourning when they closed for months for renovations and then a countdown to the re-opening. They have excellent donuts and other pastries, and their breakfast tacos are amazing: Enormous, tasty, and low cost. Your only problem will be the line that forms every Saturday morning...

Great little mom and pop donut shop. Prices are low, selection is high, and the quality is good. The donuts are great, and the kolaches are even better here. Service is always very good. Nice, sweet folk in there. If you're in the area, give them a try!

This is a sleeper if you ask me, you drive past and think nothing of this nondescript place but they have it all from donuts to Tacos. The Tacos are extremely large and made fresh to order and the donuts are very large in comparison to other donut shops. Stop in a prepare to be amazed.

That was among the best breakfast tacos I have ever had. Certainly worth the wait and price. I will be far more patient in the future. I think this is the first place I have ever felt was not charging enough for what they sell. I would pay 5$ for this huge perfect éclair, and the donut is worth 3$ easy because it is more than two regular donuts. Best donuts in Houston by far but also the heaviest. Diets die painful deaths here. Buyer beware.

Very tasty mostly the brisket kolache. The SECH it was 50/50 it was salty and a unique taste not a fan. I got one powder donut, brisket kolache and SECH for $8.58

The breakfast tacos are prepared when ordered so they were hot and fresh. The prices are appropriate, aslo. The parking lot isn't huge but the lot next door is and there's a path leading to Summit Donuts. I'll definitely return.

It was my first time going to this place, which was only six minutes from my house. I got twelve mixed donuts, a breakfast taco with egg bacon and potato, and a cheese sausage kolache. When I saw those kolaches, I thought they were just regular big ones. They were huge and tasty. Of course, the donuts were great too. I also got a French vanilla cappuccino, which tastes great. This tasted like the French vanilla coffee from Buccess.

Today I grabbed a small and a large jalapeno sausage and cheese kolache. They were pretty good I have to say. I've definitely had better but these are still pretty tasty. Lastly, I had a Bavarian cream filled donut. I must say this is one of the best Bavarian cream filled donuts I've ever had. I don't know what they're doing to their donuts, but the donut itself was so fresh and delicious! (The Bavarian cream inside was no exception) I was able to get in and out of the shop within 3 minutes, and there is a decent amount of parking. I get this place 5 out of 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had the egg, ham and cheese croissant! It was really tasty! They warmed it up but not too hot, so I was able to enjoy it right away. 🙂😉

OMG, if you have the opportunity to visit this mom and pop breakfast place you will be glad you did. Heads up !!! They are sooooo busy I call my order in , in advance. Even filled donuts !!! When they are open they are super busy and run out of stuff real quick. It's worth the extra effort !!! Their donuts are big and if your used to Shipley the cream filled is a heavier different cream.

I go here sometimes for the grandkids. If there's a line it moves pretty quickly. Good price, the kids like the donuts. I just wish they would unlock the second door (of the double-door doorway) because sometimes the line goes out the door and we're all squeezing through one single doorway. It's awkward.

Good customer service but I’m confused by the ratings…the donuts are just sweet with no flavor and some don’t even have enough glaze so they’re bland. Shipley’s will remain my spot, I really wanted to give a small business my money but no way. Also, my donuts were cold at 6am…Shipley’s at the very least have warm donuts. The glazed donuts here are so thick and dense. Sad and disappointed I spent $8.

Good donuts & kolaches. Period. BUT... if you're looking for a place to sit down and enjoy your food, this is NOT the place. I asked the gal at the counter (who always has this bitter attitude) why there's only one table... and she said that they're not supposed to have any tables, dues to regulations. But... they have one table... which contradicts her response. So she's either out of compliance with one table, or she's just blowing smoke on my face, I asked another employee before, and said they had several tables before, but after the scamdemic, only one table was set. We've been there a few times, and we always have to wait til the table is available... but not playing that game anymore. Way too many options in town. So we're not going back ever again.
