Despite being semi‑small and mostly pickup / delivery right now, Talespin goes all‑in to make sure quality never slips, even on their busiest nights. Smelled so amazing we couldn’t wait to get home and took a bite in the car. Every pizza we’ve tried here has been phenomenal, anytime we try a new or featured pizza, we’re blown away. It’s pizza for a Texan, for a super taster, for adventurous spirits and it hits every time! It’s our favorite pizza in Houston, no contest, chefs and recipes like this are hard to come by. Excited for our next pizza night 🥳

I had this joint on my want to try list for awhile. Not sure who recommended them but I thank them. One of the best pizzas I’ve had. Place was great just wish they had quieter seating outside. Food and service was spectacular. Quality all around and I love how they show they support other small local businesses in the area for their supplies and ingredients. I got the pepperoni and added the fennel sausage. Killer combo. Glad I was in that part of town today to check out such a great place. Oh and try out their ranch dressing. Made in-house and killer. I’ll be back again to try more. I’ll get a dessert next time to try.

Locally sourced ingredients, wood-fired crispy crust, Neapolitan style pizza with a Texan twist. I can definitely tell they use top quality ingredients because everything tasted so fresh. I believe the flour for their dough is a better kind as well, because my digestive system normally has an issue processing gluten but I tolerated these pizzas just fine. I had the TX Steakhouse Burger and the Rita pizzas. Great experience overall. Will be back.

I’m in town every month for work and was lucky to find Talespin right after they opened. It’s in my rotation every single time and never fails. The crust is so good. It’s got a voluminous badonkadonk at the edge and is nice and thin in the middle. I’m not a big meat eater but the veggie pizzas are awesome and they’re happy to modify anything else. Don’t sleep on the desserts and specials. Salads are big and filling with plenty of flavor and even the Mac and cheese is killer. They clearly care about what they do and who they do it for. The highway is frustrating if you have to sit outside but that’s a price I’m willing to pay.

Definitely worth it to go here atleast once. We got the steakhouse burger pizza, chili crunch chicken, bolognese, and HTX hawaiian pizzas to share amongst 4 people. The pizza sizes were just right (we only had 2 slices total leftover after the 4 of us shared). Prices were decent. The unique flavors that they offer are something you should definitely try to get because personally we felt like the crust was alright - not a crazy amount of flavor in the crust/nothing special. Our favorite was the steakhouse cheeseburger. The bolognese is so decadent and is decently heavy but worth the try. The chili crunch chicken had a good spice but it does build over time, so I felt it was too spicy towards the end. I recommend eating inside if possible with a group of 3-4 max since outside is right next to the highway and is loud.

Excellent pizza that is high quality and not to expensive for what you get. This place does not have much seating. Has a few spots in the very small space and a few tables on the patio. Best to get it to go here. Has some beers and a very interesting and deep menu. I had the pig and chicken and was impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the unique scratch crust. My daughter had the cheesier. I like the inclusion of the ricotta cheese. Best pizza around the area by far but they only have crust for 300 pizzas a day so get there early because they sell out on the regular

Had the Bone Marrow Bolognese pizza at Tailspin and it was incredible. The combo of bone marrow, ricotta, parm, wild red onion, and veal reduction makes it unlike any pizza I’ve had before. The crust had the perfect char and chew, and the flavors were rich without being too heavy. On top of that, the staff here are super friendly and make the experience even better. Definitely a must-visit spot in Houston for creative, high-quality pizza.

Not really a sit down friendly place. The flavors and offerings are interesting. The pork and chicken pizza and macaroni were good. I was hoping the crust would be crispier but it's still good as a puffy crust. The cheese on the macaroni is thick and solidified quick upon cooling on the way home. I'd love to try other flavors next time.

The coffee cowboy is one of my favorites, as well as the pasta bolognese. I can’t wait to try the other pizzas. Come early because they do sell out fast! (This is one of my top 3 pizza places in the Greater Houston area). They have limited indoor and outdoor seating.

The food is absolutely amazing. Customer service by Seth is the best I've had from anywhere in a very long time. I have to come back to try multiple things on the menu. It's best to come early because once they are done, they are done so they can ensure the quality of their food. Price is great for what they provide. I mean the price is actually really really good for the quality and the portion size. I think once they expand and they have more seating options then the atmosphere will come along with it. Definitely will be back!!! (Coffee cowboy pizza, smoked chipotle, wings, cheesecake all 10/10 total $38)

This place was an interesting experience, I can see where it’s a nice go to for locals to pick up a carry out pizza. The one thing I wish I’d known going in was that there’s almost no indoor seating. The atmosphere inside and where you order are cool, but there’s probably only seating for about three or four people. The rest of the seating is outside, and it’s right next to the highway so it’s very loud. We ordered at the counter, though I think the way to play this would be to order online and go pick it up. That said, the service was pretty quick. As for the pizza, they nailed the crust, it was absolutely perfect! I think the problem was we went with the bone marrow Bolognese pizza, and it was just a little too sweet for our pallet. However, I bet if we’ve gone with a classic such as pepperoni, it would’ve been delicious. I definitely be willing to come back and try a different flavor of pizza, I bet it would be good. If this was in a different location with nicer outdoor seating, I bet this place could be a hidden gem.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tailspin Pizza Loved the atmosphere—great decor and friendly staff! The dining room is small but cozy, with a few tables outside if you want to enjoy the weather. The menu is creative and full of surprises. I tried the pepperoni and the bone marrow bolognese pizzas—both were absolutely delicious! Parking was decent, and the overall vibe is cute, relaxed, and welcoming. Arrive early for indoor seating. Small place, big flavor!

Love the made from scratch dough and fresh topping ingredients. However the flavors of what we ordered fell a bit short. The Hawaiian my partner had was good but the pepperoni on the meat one I ordered didn’t taste good.

I was really excited to try this place, and boy was I disappointed. Honestly, MOD Pizza is better than this. The best part of the pizza was the crust. I ordered the Real Cheesy pizza, and it was not good. The pizza tasted sweet, not sure if it was the ricotta, had a frozen taste, and the pizza itself had a barbecue like smokiness. The wait was long, which is fine, but they really need a better process since it’s such a small space. They should text customers when orders are ready and have a separate window for pickup and DoorDash orders. The guy at the register was rude. I guess this place is popular because of the price? Because I honestly don’t get it. Response: I wasn’t saying the pizza itself was frozen, but something on the pizza tasted frozen, perhaps the ricotta. If it isn’t frozen, you might want to try another ricotta cheese. Thanks for clarifying that it’s smoked with cherry and oak wood. I think the person at the register should ask if customers want to sign up to receive text message updates. If I sign up for the rewards, I would assume I would get a message updating me on my order. It’s great that the text updates when the order enters the oven, but an actual update would be better, especially if I don’t know (how long it takes to cook) whether the pizza takes 10 minutes or 12 minutes to cook, or what happens if someone has multiple pizzas.
