Great food, generous portions, and very reasonably priced. That trio is hard to beat in the area. I’ve tried pretty much every similar restaurant in the area and keep coming back here for a Tso’s fix.
Wen's is always great. Consistent. Fresh. Their steamed/fried dumplings are hand made and similar to take out spots in the Northeast, NYC, PA, etc.... Highly recommended.
I love, love, love Wen's Cafe. We place an order weekly, I believe. My order is basic, but I get the Sweet & Sour Chicken with White Rice, Shrimp Fried Rice (lots of shrimp included and they're not small - that's a plus in my book) and Salt & Pepper Shrimp. The portions are big and my orders have been consistently good and filling. If they had Egg Drop Soup with the Crispy Noodles, they would be 100 out of 10 to me. LOL! Based on what I order, I genuinely love their food and would recommend them. I can't speak to any of their other items.
Great food and was made quickly not a long wait I was surprised because it was on a Saturday good service and very courteous and helpful.
I have to admit, this place serves the best wonton soup I’ve ever had. I’m usually particular about food textures, yet I genuinely enjoy the wontons in this dish. It’s especially comforting on a cold day and has a warm, homelike quality that makes you feel cozy. The flavor is rich without being too heavy. I highly recommend it—10/10.
We ordered takeout and everything was fantastic! The walnut shrimp was insanely fresh and had the perfect crunch. The orange chicken was flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Both dishes tasted freshly made even after takeout, and the portions were generous. Definitely one of the best Chinese takeout experiences we’ve had . We’ll be ordering again soon!
Wen’s Cafe is an absolute gem! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — easily some of the best Chinese cuisine in the area. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and everything tastes homemade with great attention to detail. The staff is warm and attentive, making the whole dining experience welcoming and comfortable. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and perfect for both casual meals and family dinners. Highly recommend the house specialties — you won’t be disappointed!
Second time trying Wen's and really enjoyed again. We got wonton soup, egg rolls, Mongolian beef, sesame chicken and pork fried rice. Delivery was faster than stated, food was good proportions, cooked well with expected flavors and not overly salted or too sweet (beef could have had a bit more spicy heat). Will definitely try again.
I was craving sesame chicken so much and have yet to find any legit and delicious versions. Well we tried here today, dined in because we weren't sure if you could, only ones in there but we didn't care. They were so sweet and attentive!! This will be my go to from now on. Thank you for your excellent service and great food!!
Tried this place for the first time per my friend’s recommendation, and WOW. Amazing food, good portions and delivery arrived within the 1 hour quoted time from the moment I placed the order online. I recommend: - the pan fried dumplings - so much juicy tender meat - dry fried green beans - 💯 - sautéed Chinese cabbage- add beef - SO GOOD - egg drop soup (although we didn’t get the wonton crunchies on the side like I’m usually used to) - Pad Thai w/ beef - honey walnut shrimp - crab rangoons* - tasted like they needed more cream cheese and maybe a little overcooked, no crab taste at all My friends order/liked: - shrimp fried rice - chicken egg rolls
Great food and service! How do I judge great food?; by comparison. I’ve had bad Chinese and this is great even by good Chinese food standards. I had the lunch special: Main dish, soup, and an egg roll....ALL excellent. My wife had chicken and vegetables, sweet sour soup. I had the orange chicken and wonton soup. - The staff is young, peppy and optimistic. They walk around like they a pair of Dr. Scholls gel inserts designed for Jupiter’s gravity.
Impressed with the lunch specials, great portions and great prices. I ordered the Orange Chicken and General Tso’s and both hit the spot. Funnily enough, I couldn’t really tell which was which! I assumed the orange colored one is the Orange Chicken but the other had that orange peel aroma so who knows. Either way, both were tasty and made with white meat. The soup, egg roll, and fried rice were all fresh and flavorful too. Love that they offer free delivery within a 4 mile radius (order directly from their website, skip the apps). Definitely adding this spot to my regular lunch rotation. Excited to try more dishes soon!
Loved Wen's ever since moving here 2 years ago! I always order their eggplant in garlic sauce as well as their moo goo gai pan. Today I ordered thru ubereats and the staff called me saying they ran out of eggplants so I had subbed it with moo goo gai pan. Everything tasted great, however there was an issue this time with a metal piece in my meal. It would've been bad had I or my toddler ingested it but luckily it was me and I noticed it right away. Small incidents happen and I would still eat from here. If anything just be careful when prepping/cooking. Overall still a great place for quick meals.
Searched chinese restaurants mainly for Chicken Wings. Most in my area do not make them for some reason. The wings were a bit bland but has the crunch I was looking for. And eating with some hot sauce was fine. The shrimp fried rice was decent. I didn't like the breaded shrimp. I prefer the classic wok stir fried one. The orange chicken my kids did enjoy. Jumbo chunks of white meat and the flavor is good. They only offer take out and delivery. No dine in.
I ordered house lo mein, and crab rangoon. The house lo mein was a lot of noodles with a little bit of meat! There should have been shrimp, beef and chicken, and there was a very little meat at all, it was mostly noodles. I think it was too much of a price to pay for a bowl full of noodles. The crab rangoons were stale! This is my second time ordering from this restaurant. I doubt I’ll try it again.
This place is awful…Sesame chicken was so dry and flavorless, walnut shrimp had a weird taste to it, crab ragoon wrapper wasn’t cooked all the way it had a doughy texture. Never again I rather go to Panda Express than here. $60 wasted.
Honestly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I have never left a negative review in my life, but I can’t get over how terrible our food was. I got hot and sour soup, and it tasted like straight vegetable oil with a little red pepper. No flavor at all. The egg roll was also super bland and watery on the inside, the cabbage didn’t seem cooked enough either. I got Generals tso chicken and it was straight breading. There was no chicken. It was laughable. Finished the egg roll bc I was hungry but couldn’t eat anything else. I don’t know how this place has 4 stars. The staff was polite, but the restaurant was a mess and definitely not somewhere you would want to dine in. Even dining in they serve you in styrofoam to-go containers and give you plastic ware to eat with.
