Pretty good Hong Kong–style Chinese food. We ordered the stir-fried shrimp with Maggie sauce, basil clams, radish beef brisket, half a house special chicken, and stir-fried pea shoots. The flavors are very Chinese-style overall. The shrimp was fragrant, and the beef brisket was perfect with rice. A great spot for group dining in Irvine—and parking is very convenient too. 👍
Came hungry left stuffed this place did not disappoint me !! If you’re looking for Hong Kong style food this is the place to be. Seated us quickly, and promptly took our orders and refilled our drinks often. I got the hong kong iced tea, crispy chicken wings, honey walnut shrimp, crispy noodle chow mein, beef fried rice, and clam soup. Very delicious but my top ones were honey walnut shrimp and crispy noodle chow mein. The prices are good we came for dinner and the portions are family sized. Definitely coming back
Tried this long-time Cantonese restaurant in Irvine and had a great experience. Easy parking, spacious seating, and a calm atmosphere made it perfect for a simple dinner with friends. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and fairly priced for Irvine. The shrimp and clams were our favorites. A solid neighborhood spot for everyday Chinese comfort food. 👍
Great spot for Cantonese comfort food in Irvine. The clay pot beef brisket was tender and full of flavor, the scallion prawns were fragrant and fresh, and the Concubine Chicken was light and refreshing. Perfect place for family dinners or small gatherings. Will be back!
I really enjoyed our meal at Tasty Garden in Irvine. The honey walnut shrimp was amazing. It was crispy, lightly sweet, and not heavy. The clam soup was comforting and flavorful, and the crispy noodles with beef had great texture and taste. The service was great too.
Stopped by Tasty Garden in Irvine and loved it! The udon noodles were amazing, and the other noodle with beef in dark soy sauce was also super tasty. Fried rice with BBQ pork and the walnut shrimp were all really good too. Portions are huge, prices are fair, and the atmosphere is so pleasant. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for noodles and the overall experience!
I’ve been to tasty garden many times before for their breakfast special but never had it for dinner and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered a lot of dishes and my standout ones were the stone pot beef fried rice and the sweet and sour fish. The fish was so crispy all the way through even with the sauce poured on top. The inside was up to date and had a more modern look as well. Coming back here again for the dinner!!!
The fried fish with spicy sauce, the fish fillet with black bean sauce, the shrimp fried rice, the drying bean with garlic and the fried fish with salt and pepper are delicious. I strongly recommend this restaurant. It would be great if this restaurant shows up in my San Diego City. So far, none of Chinese restaurant in San Diego can compete with it.
You know a Chinese restaurant is good when you see lots of Asian people eating there and a fish tank in front ;) My favorite part about coming to these kinds of restaurants is doing family-style so it's like building my own tasting plate. Sauteed string beans are ALWAYS a must for me. The salt & pepper pork chops came highly recommended but the real sleeper of a dish was the sweet & sour fish fillets. Oh my god, the sauce was to die for. The filet mignon fried rice comes in a stone pot, and topped with a fried egg. And they don't play when it comes to portion sizes here. Thanks for reading! ^-^
The prices are affordable and the food tastes pretty good. If you spend over $50, they give you a free plate of shrimp, which is very fresh. The service is also quite good, and both the coffee and milk tea come with free refills.
Great place for family gatherings! We used to eat at their Westminster location. This location is has more space. Most of the food came out FAST! All food was good. Their house special chicken is only served per half chicken order. If you do order the waffle for dessert, try ordering that earlier because it may take awhile to make.
Tasty Garden hits the spot for classic Cantonese food in Irvine. The pork and cabbage in the stone pot comes out hot and savory, simple but comforting. The tofu seafood pot is loaded with fresh shrimp, squid, and veggies, all in a tasty sauce. Service is friendly and quick, making for a relaxed, satisfying meal. Would definitely visit again for a casual and flavorful dinner.
It was such a great ambience with beautiful decor to family environment all around! The food was good and family style sizing hot and ready to eat away.
Portion sizes here are huge! Food was delicious, especially their honey garlic sesame chicken wings. Staff were friendly, attentive, and quick with the food. It wasn’t loud where I could hear my friends speak and not too dark.
Love dining at Tasty Garden because they have a variety of so many delicious dishes and it's perfect for sharing! We came here around 8pm and decided to order our go to dishes. We could have done take out but the dining area seemed quite inviting and the booth tables looked comfortable. Service was very attentive and professional which we loved and parking was a breeze. We know what to expect when it comes to food quality and taste because it's not our first time dining here. I really enjoyed their Kung pao shrimp, Mapo tofu, eggplant, and all their noodle dishes! My friend ordered the fried tofu with mushroom pot which was amazing! Overall, I love the portions and the price point. Just good solid comfort food!

Went to this place with a couple of friends and they gave us the red carpet treatment. The server was really good and gave us everything we needed. We ordered the salt and pepper shrimp, marinated beef, the iced French toast, eggrolls, mussels, coconut, shrimp, and the fried pork. Everything taste so good. I ordered the mango and peach slush, which was amazing. You can’t go wrong with this place. Everything on the menu was really good. Keep up the great work and this place is big groups. It was super big portions so you were definitely need a to go box when you leave. Great place to eat good food.

Tried this Chinese food restaurant with my friends and I really loved it. The food was delicious and the portion size was large enough for sharing. The fruit milk was very good. It’s my favorite drink in 2024. The servers are nice. Great vibes they have xmas decor too.
Tasty, nostalgic, and dependable. The stuffed eggplant and tofu combo is a must, and their pork cutlets over spaghetti took me straight back to cha chaan teng vibes. Nothing fancy—just solid flavors that hit the spot. Great for casual dinners or late-night cravings.
Amazingly authentic and delicious Hong Kong Cafe in Irvine. Guifei Chicken and “French Style” Filet Mignon were fantastic. IMHO, the best Hong Kong Cafe that I’ve ever been to south of LA!
Good authentic Chinese food. Large portion. Would give 5 star if they could accommodate us by chopping the chicken pieces smaller when the senior asked politely. Overall good service.
I’ve tried out many Hong Kong style cafes throughout Roland Heights and Orange County, Tasty Garden (Irvine location) is my favorite! We especially love the beef chow fun; it tastes just like the ones I had in Hong Kong. They also offer some of my favorite Sichuan dishes which all taste very good. Their price is so reasonable, especially considering the huge portion of each dish. They never disappoint! We keep going back to this place because not only the food and price are honest, they keep the premises in good shape and clean, well managed, which allows me to relax and sit comfortably to enjoy my meal. In fact, we are going there for lunch again tomorrow.
Not sure why the one stars. Server was so so nice Very attentive, very kind. He had a deep voice his name was Ken I think? Food was SO GOOD. HUGE portions. Nice presentation too. Food came hot and fresh and steaming like it was just made. Prices not bad for the amount of food it was. We will definitely come back!
Today, I tried 9 dishes at once. I recommend 4 of them that I think are delicious! 1. Fish-flavored eggplant 🍆 tastes good, and it won't be very oily. Because I don't know how to cook eggplant, I must order it when I eat out. Two. Salt and pepper ribs must be eaten while they are hot! It's very crispy! 3. Black pepper beef fillet is very authentic. Four. The feeling of egg and chicken cake.
Good food. New Chinese. Juicy dumplings great. Chow fun great. Everything authentic and nice restaurant. Got it to go coming back from Lax to Oceanside .Better than Chinese restaurants in Oceanside CA. Near 99 ranch.
Food is the best here. Some authentic foods. Some drinks are refillable. You can also take your food to go when you don't finish it all! Which usually is the case. Rice is unlimited and free when you order there entres. Walnut shrimp is the best here. Your looking at 45 dollars for 2 people. You do get two nice Togo boxes though.
Food has been consistent for the past years. Have not had a bad experience dine in or take out. We had a large crowd and were placed in back of the restaurant with low ceiling. Another large group came in and the noise level went high enough to have our kids covering their ears.
I love Chinese food, and this restaurant is perfect for me! Located conveniently in a shopping plaza, it offers delicious dishes in a pleasant and clean environment. The food not only looks amazing but also tastes fantastic, with a variety of flavors that are truly authentic. The service is excellent, and the staff are friendly and attentive. I had a wonderful lunch with my friends, and it was a happy experience all around. If you're looking for great Chinese cuisine in a convenient location, I highly recommend this place. It's a gem for both casual meals and special occasions!
i would like to give 5 star rating to them because of reasonable price, big portion of food and authestic food in Irvine. They are not stingy on giving less meat. Cleaniness level is above average of Chinese food.
I went here with some friends recently it was a really nice early dinner/ late lunch ! The portions were really generous and the flavors were great to my taste. I think my favorite dishes were the ones with egg plant. My friends did most of the ordering so I don't know what dishes are called X__x. The staff was so friendly and the vibe inside was really chill and pleasant! I recommend!
This is a Cantonese Hong Kong style food restaurant in Irvine. The environment at the restaurant is clean and the food are really delicious. We came on Thursday night and ordered Salt and pepper pork chop, French style filet mignon, Braised string beans with minced park and the dessert as well. The food tasted really good and homemade style. The price is also reasonable. Their drinks are also amazing. I love to come by again when I come to Irvine with friends.
This has always been one of my favorite Chinese food spots in OC! I always get their house special chicken everytime i come. It's so flavorful and i love the sauce it comes with. Service was good - food was served super fast. The indoor decoration is nice too - very modern.
This was honestly some of the best Chinese food I've had in OC! It was indeed a garden of tastiness! Every dish was delicious, but my absolute favorite is the fried pork and honey walnut shrimp!
I had dinner with friends at this restaurant yesterday. It serves Cantonese-style Chinese food, which I really like. I thought the beef with vermicelli in satay sauce was especially delicious. The drinks were really good, and I had two! After the meal, we ordered egg waffles for dessert. They were very tasty.
This was my first time trying this Hong Kong style Cantonese restaurant, Tasty Garden in Irvine. Met a new friend for dinner on a Thursday night. There was plenty of parking. As you walk in, it is nice and open with a bar, huge fish tank, charming decor and a cute robot. Tasty Garden delivers classic flavors with a touch of nostalgia. Their French Style Filet Mignon is a must-try, featuring tender, wok-tossed beef cubes with a rich, savory glaze that melts in your mouth. The Clams with basil are so aromatic while the Fried Egg with minced beef over rice is comfort food at its finest, with a creamy yolk and flavorful minced meat. Vegetable lovers, don’t miss the sautéed A choy with fried dace and black bean sauce—a unique, umami-packed dish. For dessert, their Waffles with ice cream are delightfully crispy and indulgent. Wash it all down with their refreshing red bean ice or the nostalgic coke float, which is a creamy treat I couldn’t get enough of. The food came out in a timely manner. Wonderful customer service.
I always enjoy going to Tasty Garden with my family. We like getting the classic dishes like their cold chicken but today we tried some new dishes like the sea mussels with eggplant, filet mignon fried rice, shrimp egg stirfry, and Ovaltine toast. They have other Hong Kong style café food like the chicken and pork steak with pasta with a side of steamed veggies like broccoli and corn. You really should get their Hong Kong style milk tea; it's refillable along with their coffee. The staff is very nice and friendly and attentive.
The signature dish is very delicious, especially the Guifei chicken must order, which is very fragrant, tender and smooth. The signature stir fried noodles have a large amount of ingredients and are full of ingredients. Two people can eat a bowl full Salt and pepper chicken wings are also essential, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, leaving some juice The waiter is also good. Whether it's Hong Kong style milk tea or frozen lemon tea, you can enjoy unlimited free refills. You don't have to call the waiter and they will come over to help you fill it up A very authentic and affordable Hong Kong style restaurant with a large amount of delicious food and affordable prices. Come back next time!
11-28-2025 Surprised by their free shrimp dish with >$50 ordered on Black Friday! Beef with noodles top-notch-mom loved the very tender beef. Same with the braised pork. Pork in the cabbage hot pot was occasionally tougher at times, but great with the soup it's in on rice. A happy day! 04-2025 A year ordering, fish with broccoli and pineapple fried rice always yummy. About $38 for those two today and only took 10 minutes to get the take out order 3:30pm ish. Lamb with ginger - you gotta Love ginger because there's a lot. Yummy and strong! Tenderness does vary, but no major issues chewing them. Salted golden chicken special is smaller than Sam Woo used to serve, so think small half chicken. Tastes fine. Overall, dependable, consistent for the dishes I order, quick outside the lunch or dinner rush hours. 2024 Tasty Chinese food. Both the broccoli and fish and stir-fried beef noodles were delicious and fresh. Portions generous for the $15~ average dish price. To-go was well packaged, ready in the 15-20 minutes estimated. I've dined in before - service and room was fine.
Food. Food food I just love food. This is a great place for food. Please come here with a family that food is quite cheap.Quite affordable and the atmosphere is very good and very Chinese.Like and I love the authentic Chinese food here.It is quite cheap quite affordable and service. Is not bad at all although the tables literate dirty, but it is no problem. Many places for your kids and we'll chair and dog.Even maybe you might have to ask them about this

Went here for a family style / Hong Kong style dinner. This place is nostalgic to me because I used to go here when I was little with family. They even got the rice in the red pot and everything. Here is what I ordered! - Salt & Pepper Pork Chop - Fried Shrimp with Garlic - Clams with Basil - Honey Walnut Shrimp - House Special Chicken - A-choy with black bean fish - French Style Filet Mignon - Ovaltine French Toast - Fried Shrimp Rolls Overall, everything here was packed with flavor. My favorites were the 1. French Style Filet Mignon - savory sauce with tender meat 2. Honey Walnut Shrimp - quite mayo-y but just how i love it 3. Clams with Basil - i just love clams and basil together
Moved out of state a while back, but it's cool to see this place is still around and business is still good. That shrimp fried rice still slaps hard, glad to see the recipe hasn't changed.
I’ve been a big fan of Tasty Garden since it was a restaurant in Westminster then it closed down after Covid. I forgot they’re another one in Irvine. Just remember and tried it last night. The flavor remains the same as I know about Tasty Garden. House Special Chicken and Honey Garlic Pork Chop is the way to start. Majority of the menu remains the same as before. I’m so glad to find it again. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Certainly the least oily beef chow fun, and possibly the best one too that I've ever had. Value is superb, with portions equalling about average but prices being quite low. The coffee milk tea is endlessly refillable (!) and is still pretty good. Everything tasted great, and coupled with the low prices and large portions, I'm pretty excited to have a great Chinese place to eat while I go to UCI.
Wow this place is so good🤤. The menu is huge. It’s basically a book 📚with photos and everything. It’s great. Very through. Haha so many choices. Love it. And there’s cheaper prices for lunch. That’s amazing. The honey🍯 and walnut shrimp 🍤 is honestly to die for. Holy moly. Wow. I just can’t even. Everything we ordered was just fantastic. The French coffee ☕️was great. Everything was great. Wow. I honestly love this place. ❤️
Long overdue review to a wonderful great place that provides awesome customer service and yummy delicious plates!!! Ken, the Manager, serves the clients with a lovely smile 😃, listens to your specific requests and has his team serve in the same manner. Ken always will give you VIP treatment, even if the restaurant is busy. Also, CJ is very sweet & Susana very kind and both provide an awesome service. Lastly, they serve the food promptly. Give them a try, you won't regret the wonderful customer service and delicious food. They have plenty of outdoor seating and inside, too. ( pix below: what's left of yummy sweet & sour chicken with no breading)

We went to this restaurant again this weekend. This has always been one of my favorite Chinese food spots in OC! I always get their French style Mongolian beef, which in my favorite dish there, and it was incredible. It's so flavorful and i love the sauce it comes with. We try their pancake which was surprisingly good! The red bean ick milk was the one that every time I must have! The red bean was soft with the milk almost melt in my mouth. Clams with basil was a high recommended dish as well. The clams was super delicious with the sauce. If you want some vegan, try the Choy and Fried Dace w/ Black Bean! It was impressive, and you will re order it next time for sure! Service was good - food was served super fast. The indoor decoration is nice too - very modern.
If you're looking for an authentic Hong Kong Cafe experience, this is the spot. We ordered a mix of our favorite dishes and they did not disappoint. Baked Seafood with Cream Sauce & Noodles: This was pure comfort food. The sauce was rich and silky, and the corn added a nice sweetness that balanced the savory seafood. There was a variety of seafood like fish, scallops, calamari, and shrimp. Beef Chow Fun (Dry Style): The true test of a HK chef! The 'Wok Hei' was incredible—no excess oil at the bottom of the plate, and the rice noodles had that perfect charred flavor. Fried Chicken Wings with Spicy Salt: Perfectly crispy skin with just the right amount of heat and garlic. They were juicy on the inside and addictive on the outside. Honey Pork Chop with Garlic: A great balance of sweet and savory. The garlic really punched through the honey glaze, one of my favorites of the night! Great portions and fast service. Definitely a must-visit for comfort food!

Classic Hong Kong diner with an extensive menu. It was packed on a weekday but the food came quickly after we were seated. Food is your run of the mill cafe food which was solid. The portion sizes were really generous.

Nestled in the bustling streets of Irvine, Tasty Garden offers a slice of Hong Kong with its diverse menu that echoes the vibrant spirit of a traditional café in the heart of the city. My culinary journey here was marked by both hits and misses, contributing to a solid 3.5-star experience. But will give it 4 as there is no 3.5 options. The Beef Chow Fun was decent, featuring a satisfactory blend of flavors and textures. Although it didn't particularly stand out, it was a competent dish that nicely complemented the meal. On a brighter note, the Honey Walnut Shrimp was a delightful surprise. Its balance of sweetness and crunch made it not just tasty, but memorable, embodying the essence of what makes this dish a favorite among many. The French Style Filet Mignon further elevated the experience, with its tender cuts and savory sauce crafting a compelling argument for a return visit. It's a dish that showcases Tasty Garden's ability to fuse Eastern and Western culinary traditions in a harmonious and appetizing way. Another noteworthy mention is the Salt and Pepper Pork. Its simple yet powerful flavor profile was both comforting and delicious, making it a dish I'd happily order again. However, the true star of the show was the Egg Waffle. This iconic Hong Kong street food was executed to perfection, offering a taste of nostalgia and authenticity that transported me straight to the bustling streets of Hong Kong. Its unique texture and subtle sweetness were a fitting end to a diverse meal. Tasty Garden presents itself as a homage to Hong Kong-style cafés, and it largely succeeds in this endeavor. While not every dish was a standout, the overall quality and diversity of the menu, combined with the cozy ambiance, make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking to explore or reminisce about Hong Kong's rich culinary traditions. Whether you're a fan of traditional Chinese cuisine or eager to try something new, Tasty Garden in Irvine provides a glimpse into the flavors and dishes that make Hong Kong's food scene so beloved. It's a place where the love for food and culture comes together, offering a tasty adventure for all who dine here.
Tasty Garden serves a fairly good and quick meal. For the price it can be considered as good. The one Friday that Year Garden always shines is their salty steamed chicken with oil, greens onions. Absolutely flawless. Service has always been very friendly and courteous.
They have a huge menu of traditional and westernized Chinese Dishes. We selected the Beef Chow Fun, fried noodles with beef and vegetables. It was tasty, but a little bit too oily. The Stirred Fried Pea Shoot was an ideal counterpart. We also had the big Honk Kong Waffle with Ice Cream and Fruits. I think it was just OK. Somehow the combination of everything was not as delicious as it sounds. I ate better type of waffles before. We actually wanted to get the Honey Toast with Green Tea Ice Cream, but they were out of Green Tea Ice Cream. I will probably be coming back for that. Be aware that if you order one of the Honey Toasts it will take about 30min. to prepare so you should order well before.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) Service Type: Takeout Only Dish Reviewed: Yangzhou Fried Rice I order takeout from this restaurant quite a bit, and for some reason I always forget to leave a review. A few days ago, I ordered their Yangzhou fried rice and told myself, don’t forget this time! Well, I’m glad I remembered — because the food really is quite delicious. I can’t speak for everything on the menu, but the items I have tried have always been good. The fried rice, in particular, was delightful. Moist, flavorful, and just like the restaurant’s name — Tasty Garden! The shrimp was fresh and not dry or rubbery like I’ve had elsewhere. I was very impressed. Of course, taste is personal, and who’s cooking that day matters — but on the day I ordered it, it was super tasty. I can’t guarantee your experience, but mine was great! I didn’t rate the atmosphere since I’ve only ever done takeout.
I thought this gonna be same taste like common Chinese food in Irvine area. . . This taste better, I order food through phone, and when I come about 10 minutes to this place, they just about ready. No need to wait that long for 3 orders to go. I order No.1 House special chicken (taste like boiled with ginger), beef chow fun with beef, and black pepper filet mignon with mushroom. We enjoy these foods.
It was my first time here, and it was good. I dined in for lunch and ordered orange chicken with white rice. The chicken came in thin breaded pieces and a sweet orange sauce. The servers were very nice and attentive. There was even an interesting robot delivering menus and takeout food to the front. For $20 I even had plenty to bring home. I might try a non-breaded meal next time.

The food was ok. Some dishes are better than others, we got lucky and had a pretty decent selection. However a lot of it is very greasy. The TVs on is annoying and totally distracting. Also the automatic addition of tip at a table of 5 (+ 1 kid) is pretty annoying. And no one tells you that beforehand. Instead it’s added automatically and then when receiving the bill back it asks again for a tip. Not good business practice
Service is great, but the food quality and taste just meh, the sauce on three 3 out of 4 dishes we’ve ordered tasted bland. The basil clams dish had very little basil in it, such a disappointment . And somehow the rice was even undercooked, :/
The food tastes good, but the ice (tap) water may not be very clean. We didn’t feel well after our lunch here and suspect it may be related to the water.
Food is not as good as when it was first opened years ago. But still ok when there is no Hong Kong cafe to compare with near by
Was looking for a Hong Kong style Cafe similar to the ones in San Gabriel. Decided to try this one. Located in a nice plaza with plenty of free self parking. The restaurant looks clean, well decorated, and pleasant. The staff is friendly and welcoming. There's plenty of indoor seating. We were quickly seated and presented with menus. Lots of options to choose from. We ordered the hot plates, one with chicken, and the other the fish. It took longer than excited for them to prepare the food and bring it. It wasn't an issue since we weren't in a rush. When the food finally arrived, it looked and smelled great. Unfortunately, the taste didn't match the visuals. The food was WAY too salty. Everything was literally covered with salt... Even the veggies. I thought maybe it was only the fish dish but the chicken was also salty but not as bad as the fish. The fries and onion rings were yummy. Also the pasta was good. The fried rice usually has diced carrots and peas. I guess they don't do that here. Portions are good and prices are reasonable given that everything has gotten expensive. I really wanted to like this restaurant. However, I wish they weren't so generous with salt use. I might give them a second chance but I'll ask for no salt.
I have been eating here once a while since they opened. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Irvine. I'm really not sure what happened to Tasty Garden. I was kind of disappointed when I invited our friends who were actually the first time to eat there. One of our orders was served super late. My crispy chicken noodle (雞肉兩面黃) didn't have much gravy sauce and didn't taste as good as usual. Our friend ordered some rice with gravy sauce. He said it was not so good; therefore, he didn't bother offer to share it with us.
First time here & don't think we'll ever be back...Food was alright, we found a piece of plastic in our lamb hot pot dish and a shrimp looking stick piece inside... ? How does this happen? Common, the kitchen staff needs to be more careful...The staff gave us half price for the lamb hot pot dish. Thanks, but it won't change my first impression. They have a cool looking robot that brings the take-out food to the front. Their restroom was not clean...And is not baby friendly (in case you need a change station). Their cabbage soup (上汤娃娃菜) was good as well as their crispy tofu & enoki mushroom dish were tasty. Chinese food wasn't as authentic as what you would find in San Gabriel Valley.
They served us completely raw beef in our 乾炒牛河 and didn’t offer to redo the dish. I told the server the meat was raw but he thought I was asking for a straw. They only compensated us with an egg waffle thing and told us that it was raw because the meat was too thick.
One of the worst dining experiences. Ordered an appetizer ( roti/naan with a curry sauce) which was very oily. Soup ordered was insipid and watery with a few over boiled carrots and bitter melon. Noodles dish with beef was too oily and very mediocre tasting.

The quality of the food went down a lot compared to previous visits. Too much oil and no flavor. The reason for the one star is the service. The hostess wasn't friendly and obviously didn't want to be there. The server forgot about us as soon as he took our order. The staff didn't even deliver our main entrée. I am extremely disappointed with this experience.
Terrible service and they dare to ask 18% minimum tips. If you want tips, you need treat your customer properly, instead of treating your customer like dirt. Only consider this restaurant if are open to being mistreated. Food is bad as well. We ordered a lamb hot pot that came with a very strong smell. To make matters worse, our order was overlooked until we inquired about the missing lamb.
It’s sad to see that quality of the food has gone down dramatically, we ordered multiple items from menu for take out. French fillet mignon was Ok say the least acceptable for $23 dish but salt and Peper shrimp was mushy and no texture of shrimp whatsoever. I called next day to ask for refund for shrimp and I was offered replacement which is not what I ask for and given no choice to get the money back for the dish and besides what makes me think it will be any better the 2nd time. I have also dined at the Westminster location and food was way better than at this location
The attitude of cashier is horrible. I told him three times the pickup number and he got mad at me and yelled at me. Avoid this place.
I always loved the orange peel beef, and this time, it was mushy and gross. I dont know if there was even any meat in it. It was like lightly fried dough. The manager said they changed the recipe, so now everything is cooked that way. It's a shame because this food used to be so good.
I just ordered from this restaurant through Fantuan Delivery and received the wrong item. I ordered the Orange Peel Beef, as I always do, but they gave me chicken instead of beef. I requested a refund, but the restaurant told the Fantuan representative that my order was the Orange Peel Beef. The manager claimed I was wrong and refused to issue a refund. However, I know the difference between chicken and beef—I’ve been ordering the Orange Peel Beef once a month, and I know exactly how it looks and tastes. What I received was clearly chicken, not beef. While the two might look similar, how could the manager confidently claim it’s 100% beef without tasting my order? It’s obvious they gave me chicken, not beef! I’ll never order from here again, especially if they can’t tell the difference between chicken and beef!
I have been coming here regularly with friends and family since moving to Irvine a few years ago. But sadly the prices have gone up repeatedly and portions have been reduced as well, and the food quality and taste are no longer what they used to be. The overall value has declined so much that its no longer worth it for us. Unfortunately, we’ll have to cross this place off our list and wont be returning.
Found foreign object in the vegetable dish(something hard to chew. Either plastic or weed grass). Read the receipt carefully. They automatically added the 20% tips and prints an additional suggested amount below. If you are not careful, you might tip twice. Shady. Watery boiled beef, and the beef stew is the worst. Bitter, dry, and thick sauce. It feels like the meat was cooked overtime without enough water and they gave us the residual at the bottom of the pot.
I would love to give 0 star if possible. Do NOT go to this horrible restaurant! We ordered lamp pot and it's sourrrrr! We called the restaurant asked why it's sour and they said it's probably bad, We requested a refund But they refused a full refund. There is no apologize from the lady at the front desk and her attitude is like whatever.
