Tenders are really good, I like the poppers with the ranch are just perfect.

What a disappointment. The girl at the window couldn't get our order right. She finally asked us to come to the window, and still couldn't get it right. We went through 3 people to get order placed. Then, we had to move up, and wait about 10 min. They brought us our order, and it wasn't right. We went in and instead of giving us fresh food, she just redid what was wrong. We should have been compensated.

Had an amazing experience here with my family, we had a huge order and everything was cooked to perfection and delicious! The service was also very friendly and fast! We got our food in 6 minutes, and thoroughly enjoyed the clean and restful atmosphere of the restaurant. We now have a new favorite Chicken Express location.

The employees made our chicken even though they were about to close. Props to the team working on our food on May 17th, 2025, they deserve a raise.

Always like the chicken tenders, poppers, fritters, and sweet tea at Chicken Express. Service has been better. After 10 minutes or more of a wait, we checked on our order. When the young man checked, the manager brought the ticket out, walked right past me to the table. She stated the problem was the all breast order for my wife would take 10 minutes. But, they already had 10 minutes. Young lady wasn't hearing any of it. We still had to wait 10 more minutes. My guess. A gentleman right after us placed a huge order. Manager wasn't watching her folks and they put our order aside to complete his. He passed the young man at the counter a twenty when he was handed the two large bags of his order. Manager wasn't minding the store. Went back again. Thirty minutes wait for our food while we were the only internal customers. Suspect this store prioritizes drive-thru and pickup orders over walk in guests.

Their food is good however lunch hour is really busy. You won't get through the drive-thru in less than 20 minutes. If you go in however you do get the food at a fair amount of time. And the atmosphere is good. They have a couple of TVs inside and it is kept clean.

Will make your order your way to satisfy you. Chicken gizzards were first too hard and crunchy for my taste && they remade them without issue. Perfect! Sweet tea could use some work however.

I visit this location very often (multiple times a week) and I order the exact same thing every single time. Some of the workers here are truly amazing! I would've given it 5* if I wouldn't sometimes receive spicy instead the regular chicken that I ordered. With that being said, I still think that compared to other locations I ordered from before, this one is still the best!

If you haven't tried Chicken Express you should. The chicken is wonderful, the strips are great, they serve chicken livers...and if you like livers you'll want them every time! They also make some of the best Catfish I've had anywhere. All of the sides that I have had have been really tasty. Oh! And their ice tea is to die for on a hot summer day! The only thing that I would give them encouragement with, is to learn how to be more precise in taking the order. Often they seem to have difficulty getting it correct. Fortunately the food is so good that I usually don't care!

Chicken-E is a classic for a reason. They have the best chicken strips and gizzards around. Their iced tea is also Excellent! The only thing they truly need to do is bring back real wings instead of the boneless chicken nuggets they are calling wings. Another suggestion would be to offer the gizzards in spicy the same way they do the strips.

It was my first visit to a Chicken Express, and I have to say the food was excellent, hot and delicious. I ordered a #1 combo with spicy tenders, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw and a biscuit. Everything was really good. The lady that waited on us was friendly and helpful, and while the dining room wasn't large, it was full. My only issue would be that our table needed wiped off, but because they were so busy and then cleaning as soon as they could, I'm willing to overlook it. Will definitely make another visit sometime.

Ordered gizzards. Way too much breading, but the gravy was a nice touch

The quality of the food is hit or miss at this location. Sometimes the food is nothing but breading and the sides are cold. About 50% of the time I have to wait 15 minutes for my order because they are cooking the food - which is a good thing because I know it has not been sitting under the heat lamps.

They forgot to give me one of my large sides macaroni and cheese. The chicken strips was either over cooked or old because they were dried out, the rolls were great. The corn didn't have anything on it, no but or flavor of any kind but the size was great. I guess should have asked for butter, salt and pepper. Corn nuggets were fresh and good.First time if I go again will try chicken not strips. Check your order before you leave we were visiting family in Texas and were staying too far away to be tired from the drive to go back for the item. Chicken tenders tasted like they had thin fish bones in it because of how dry it was when you would tear them apart. The pieces were extremely small, some even looked like they were rolled in a little ball and resembled nuggets. They charged for every sauce which I wasn’t charged for at another Chicken Express but I assume every one is different. I wouldn’t go here again, too expensive for the quality of food, or lack thereof.

DON'T go here if you need to get everything you paid and asked for! Period! I've been going here on occasion for over a year and a half, and I think I'm done. It's essentially impossible to get what you asked for, especially more than one simple combo, when every person that handles the order makes mistakes. They take down orders wrong and either don't repeat it or don't repeat back what they actually chose even when I speak loudly, clearly, and slowly. Then the person packing always leaves food out and/or includes the wrong sides. They've left an entire box of rolls out multiple times. And the person handing out the food leaves out drinks. How do you work with that?! On *just* my most recent visit, they wrote the easiest part of my order down wrong, only packed ONE tender in my meal, didn't give me two drinks that were on my order, and acted like I was doing something wrong when I asked for a biscuit instead of the roll I incorrectly received. I really try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but every portion of their system is wrong. I just wanted to for once bring home the meal my husband asked for, and I failed again because I didn't see there was one tender. And how am I supposed to keep going back if they don't like it when I ask for my meal to be fixed and they always get it wrong? 😂 Chicken Express's food is delicious in general, but this location really needs to work on their order fulfillment. I can't be spending money on items I don't receive or that I don't eat.

Young Hispanic guy working the drive thru had the nerve to read me my order and STILL gave me the wrong order. As much as I love Chicken Express in general, this location sucks. Sometimes they screw up the batter and it's super thick and practically comes off in chunks, other times they just don't pay attention. Today I ordered a 3 piece chicken, all legs, with corn nuggets for the side. Somehow this got translated to 3 breasts and fries....not what I wanted. I hate chicken breast; it's literally the driest part of the chicken. How hard is it to use your ears and listen to what someone orders?

I have had bad experiences here before but always willing to give another chance. Asked for 8 pc mixed chicken ... I was told it would take 20 min to get breast. So I waited the 20 minutes. I got home it was just thighs and legs; no white meat, which is why I waited. The meat that I got was way too greasy. One leg was totally dry like a piece of wood. Out of eight pieces, I still have five pieces left. I bought a gallon of unsweetened tea... we drank half of it for a late dinner and the next day (lunch) it was very bad. Usually lasts a week. The only things we enjoyed was the sides: mashed potatoes, corn on the cob , and the fruit pies. It wasn't worth the money or the time. I suggest if they say that it will take extra time to get what you want.... don't wait, just drive away. Take the time and check your order, at the window or at the counter, if you dare.

The chicken strips were over cooked or left sitting under heat lights to long.. usually better than this.. everything else was great! Maybe next time don't serve your customers overcooked chicken strips.. no meat left just hard and not worth eating..

Chicken was fresh but the staff was very unfocused on their duties & the care of their customers. Left the restaurant with our order only to get to our destination to eat with no plasticware & no straws. We were out of town & staying in a hotel so had no access to these items at our destination. Who wants to drive back across town? Right!

Typically their chicken at this location is good; fresh, hot and tasty, depending on the time of day. Unfortunately their service staff is terrible. They regularly screw up the order even when clearly stated and repeated. As a fast food restaurant, they fail, as you can wait 15-30 minutes for a simple one-two person order, especially in the early evening hours. They obviously don't plan well ensuring they have plenty of chicken prepared before the after work rush arrives. Get a new manager and then TRAIN the staff appropriately.

I go thru the drive thru. Chicken has gotten smaller and the prices have gone up. The green beans are salty and sometimes the chicken is salty. All of the sides are mediocre at best. KFC, Churches and Popeyes have better tasting chicken. The girls in the drive thru never smile and act like they really don’t want the job, but they gotta pay the bills…

This place has serious customer service issues. Asked for the ice in the lobby to be refilled, got looked at like something weird was growing out of my forehead. 10 minutes later went by and I finished my food and left not having had any ice with my drink. No drive through line and no one ordering inside.

Ordered a 3 piece fish combo. Didn't receive the hush puppies that come with the order. The fish was so dry it was inedible. The worst thing about it was the older gentleman who was the cook had an attitude when he gave me my order. Place definitely has gone downhill. Will not be ordering from here again.

I was given the incorrect order initially. Handed it back, and the young man was confused. He was too busy playing around instead of making sure orders were correct. He was pleasant, I'll give him that. He asked another employee what my order is (family order of hush puppies; he took my order via drive-through). He forgot to drop them. How do I know? He gave me oil saturated, not fully cooked puppies. I attempted to air fry but was extremely disappointed and disgusted. Pic is of half raw / half air fried. I threw most away.

2nd time going today for fish. The 1st time they had me wait, forgot about me for 45 minutes and had to refund my money. Chicken Express is scamming people. When you order a meal they'll upsize the drink to a large and most people don't even realize it. They do it without asking customers if they want a large drink. I didn't realize it for a while. I asked them about this and talked to the manager. They had mo answers when I confronted them about their scamming. I wouldn't go here again and I'm going to recommend that my friends don't go here either. Where I work we'll purchase food on Saturday for our employees but I guarantee that we won't buy food from here. I will tell everyone not to go here. It's a shame that they can't do business the honest way.

My fiancé and I are very regular customers at this branch. We always order the same thing each time; a 4 piece chicken tender with okras and roll with sweet tea. A few times I've let things slide here, such as a gnat stuck in the lid of my iced tea, old batch of chicken tenders that are so over fried dry and crispy inside, and wrong sides quite a few times. But this time, I couldn't just deal with it. I ordered the same thing for dinner at 8:20pm. The chicken was so dry it was more like you're eating crispy fried batter than chicken, they got my side wrong and added an extra side of which I never ordered, and their tea tasted moldy like it had been sitting in the container all day. I've had their fresh iced tea and know the difference. I asked to get a refund for my food because of all this crap and the rude guy asked me to bring the food back. Who does that?! Anyway, took the food back and got my refund but they lost a very loyal customer due to bad customer service. Will never eat here again, rather pay my money to somewhere with better food HEALTH safety management and customer service.

I've been to this location 3 times now and not one of my orders has been correct. The first 2 times it was little things like I ordered okra with my tenders and I got fries instead. The 2nd time I went I asked for an extra roll and ended up not getting any rolls whatsoever. Then just today I went and ordered a 7 piece tender combo. I got my food all the way back to work and found out I only had 4 tenders. And the 4 tenders I did get were small and felt like they had been sitting there for a while. My fries weren't fresh and the box had no napkins. I can guarantee that I will NEVER be back to this location ever. There were only 2 cars in the drive thru (including my car). How can your service and quality be so damn bad!?? If you want good food don't go here.

Manager that was working on 9/12/2020 charged us for the wrong order ($6 more than what we ordered), gave us the wrong food twice, refused to fix it, and started to talk me down because “I wasn’t being clear”. When I already clarified what my order was to both the cashier and manager 4 TIMES. Oh, and we saw the bags of food that they handed us go to the two cars in front of us. Yes, this was during the coronavirus pandemic, so so much for being careful and not cross-contaminating your customers.

This place is normally good and delicious but I just left the drive through (12/09/18 9p.m) and they didn't give me any of the rolls with order that they come with and I ordered an extra one at that too. They were out of serendipity and I was short a tender from one of the #1 combos I got. The breading on the tenders was falling off a bit and was thin. Not sure what happened today but I gotta call see if I can get a refund or something.

Food delivery pick up. Verified that I was the driver designated to pick food up for delivery. Showed " Samiya"...associate at counter my app stating order number, customer name and app stating I had arrived. Associate demanded my picture as well. While I appreciate verification to make certain that everything was authentic, the extra diligence slowed down the entire process and became frustrating. As I left the entire scene was happening to another delivery driver.

HORRIBLE. I ordered a large half and half tea, and that was my whole order. They gave me full sugar tea, and the tea was still WARM. This tea was so sweet you could practically chew the sugar. I called and they said they would give me a gallon of tea for my troubles. I turned around and went through the line AGAIN. I ordered another half and half. I get to the window and tell the lady at the window I was supposed to get a free gallon of tea. I asked for Regular. Twice. She gave me a gallon of sweet tea, and I had to pay for my new large half and half. When I drank out of it, it was full sugar tea AGAIN. I finally went inside, as the drive thru just couldn’t get a simple order right. They got my tea right the THIRD time they made it. Worst experience. AWFUL customer service. Charging me for another tea when THEY screwed the first one up. I will NEVER give this location a dime of my money again. There are plenty of other, BETTER Chicken E’s around.

I have eaten this is Chicken Express for a couple years now and it seems to only be getting worse. Today my fish was cold my okra was cold and the chicken was tough and dry. The only thing good I got today were hush puppies and sweet tea and it's very disappointing that the manager won't even take my call at the store.

I've had Chicken Express fish fillets many times and have always enjoyed them, until today. I think it was someone's first time ever frying fish. I didn't mind waiting extra time for them to be fresh cooked, but wasn't expecting fish jerky.

The tables aren't bussed, seats and tables are dirty. Everything was overcooked, even the biscuits. The chicken is okay but very greasy and the bread falls off. Mac n cheese side was awful. Napkins nowhere in plain sight. Soda machine didn't look like it's been cleaned in months. This was supposed to be better than Freebirds, my friend said, we'd enjoy it, they said, I wish I went to Freebirds instead.

Key word "fast food" has no meaning here. Waiting 22 minutes for corn fritters is way too long. Meanwhile the rest of our order is sitting to the side getting cold. No apologies or explanation from the manager when I asked for my refund. Hopefully my next visit will be a better experience. Time will tell.

Watched the staff make my order complete but before they brought it out, they took a piece of chicken off my plate and put it into another order for drive through. They then came to me and said they were out of that piece of chicken and it will take 20 minutes to make it. So I wouldn't have to wait 20 minutes I was given a piece of thigh which I don't like and couldn't eat cause of the amount of fat in thigh meat. I guess if I had gone through drive through I would have gotten the order I asked for!

I asked for mild chicken strips. I was given strips that were cold to the touch and too spicy for my wife to eat. The restaurant was so slow employees were walking back and forth to their cars and sitting at a bench in front of the store on their phone. I guess that explains the wait. I would have contacted them directly but that is not an option, they have no contact info on their website. They say to go to the store to complain... No thank you, you have wasted enough of my time today.

The place was dirty none of the tables looked that they been cleaned in a long time they were even sticky even tho there’s was plenty workers they should take turns cleaning the dining area so you can just imagine the back where customers don’t get to see

I just came from this location and ordered a family meal. when i got to the window i waited a while for my order and im thinking maybe they cooked it fresh. i get home and check the food. They gave me biscuits when i asked for rolls. The biscuit are hard, the okra is cold, the chicken is hard to chew and the corn tasted like it been boiling in water for 8 hours. if im going to buy fast food for the convenience i would expect my food to be fresh other wise i would have made it at home. $35 wasted. Please save yourself and don’t buy from this location. Negative 0 out of 10 Do Not Recommend!!!!!

After I ordered inside togo, I was handed a cup a told to scoop my ice out a Home Depot bucket. I lost my appetite for the $20 meal I just bought 🤮🤢

My wife stopped by Sunday 2/22/26 approximately 4:00 pm and spent $40+ dollars for our families Sunday dinner. When we got home much to our surprise the box of expensive mixed chicken turned out to be 3 legs, 5 wings and a couple thighs. No one at this store even mentioned anything about substitutions. What a miserable feeling considering the money spent. Folks avoid this location if possible. I only hope corporate is aware of this sorry excuse of quality product and service. P poor.

Paying almost $20 for 7 pieces of tenders was ridiculous and way overpriced . And the pieces were small . Canes is much better and get your money's worth.

In the drive through between 4:30-4:45 and I’m watching the staff take chicken that is under the heating lamp, put it back in the fryer basket and back into the oil. I watched this happen multiple times and they had the audacity to try to give that old refried chicken to me! This is absolutely ridiculous when a 7 piece tender is damn near $20. Nobody wants reheated food from a fast food restaurant. Then the staff try and say that is not what’s going on when I watched it happen twice! The owner/general manager or whatever needs to get this place together!!!

I return my meal. Cause my chicken was cold. So the girl starts to complain in Spanish with the cook in the packer. Then she transfer all the other cold stuff to the new box waiting for the chicken when I said. I'm not gonna eat the cold biscuit. She said well, you bit into her. I said yes to find out that it was not. Hot so then she goes to the manager. Then I tell him I just cooking my meal. I said they were supposed already. Be cooking out and stand the problem. All I'm asking for some hot food instead. They rather refund my money. This is not the kind of service. I expect Fort Worth chicken express. I had better customer service

I ordered a roll and got a biscuit. What a tiny biscuit, the fork is bigger. And ordered creamy corn it tastes like is not good. The chicken is extra crispy

This is probably the worst chicken I have ever had. It must have been refried because the crust.I could not even bite through. When I peeled the crust back from the thigh, there was a layer of meat cooked, so tough it was not even edible. Take a look. I should have sent it back, but I already had to go back, because my order was wrong.
