Just don't order the chai here, chai sucks! Still I am going to get this restaurant a full 5 stars because the food was great, the staff was kind and approachable, they didn't charge us for the tea because it was not good and the restrooms were clean. The Bahubali/Kattappa Sandwich is a must try, I think they use amul butter and amul cheese because the taste was phenomenal, I loved it. Felt like I am eating a sandwich in India. Would definitely come again and would bring more friends. Bahubali is a bit sweet as it has the pineapple jam and Kattappa is supposed to be spicy but I didn't feel it was that spicy. I would choose bahubali sandwich anytime for the different taste it offers. We also tried the honest special pav bhaji after 3 years of making it myself at home. I loved it, would definitely try again! I think the special part is that they add dry fruits on top and that's about it.
Momo Manchurian was a unique twist and absolutely delicious. Finished it off with Kulfi Falooda and the world's best Gulab Jamun for dessert — soft, perfectly sweet, melt-in-your-mouth Gulab Jamun that I'm still dreaming about. Honestly, I've had Gulab Jamun at countless restaurants, but nothing comes close to what Honest serves. Pure heavenly! My son had the Dosa, which was crispy and fresh, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her Kadhi Pakora with Garlic Peas Rice — she said it reminded her of the best homestyle cooking. No exaggeration — this is the best food I've had in the last 3 years. The flavors, the quality, the portion sizes — everything was on point. Honest Restaurant has earned a loyal customer in our family. If you're in the DFW area and craving authentic Indian food, do yourself a favor and come here. You won't be disappointed! 5 out of 5 — and I'd give more stars if I could!
Honest is the best Indian restaurant in the DFW, they are 100% vegetarian, and their menu is extensive, you can have a large variety of options, the music is nice, the environment is awesome, they provides you recommendations about what to order if you need it, they have parking and they are strategically located. I have been there at least 10 times and this restaurant doesn't stop to impress me. My favorite dish is the Bhaji Pav.
Deepang gave exceptional service. Food was great, he checked in with us every few minutes to make sure all is going well. I have had similar good experiences with this restaurant. So far I have tried dal makhani, Dabang dosa, Kattappa sandwich, cheese pulav, and kesar-pista falooda to name a few. All were delicious worth trying.
Yummy and delightful chaats, snacks, and entrees. Taste and quality are very good, makes us go another time. Offers Jain and Swaminarayan diet food and regular as well. Beverage menu is worth mentioning. Varied choices to pick from and pure quality. Portion sizes can be increased. Certainly must try!

It has some of the best Indian vegetarian food around Irving. Love their Samosa. It’s definitely the best in Irving and I have tried samosa at lot of restaurants. My kid likes the samosa only at this place. Pav bhaji and dosa are good. Papdi chaat is OK , slightly on sweeter side but not bad. Veg manchow soup is tasty but slightly salty. Hakka Noodles are very good and Veg grilled sandwiches are best and huge portion size. One sandwich will keeps you full for hours.
My first time staying near Dallas airport, and found this amazing vegetarian only restaurant! Food They ifder had Swaminarayan (no onion, no garlic), and Jain options (Swaminarayan+ no roots). Ordered Hakka noodles, and Manchurian! It was super delicious. Visited the next day and ordered Pao bhaji dosa, which was very tasty too. Time to arrive- 10 mins (avg) Ambience Ample seating, good music. Lights are nice. They also have free wifi, but need to ask for it. Service Took a while to get the waiter's attention, but it was late evening so I don't hold it strongly. The staff seem friendly and homely too. Glasses are plastic- I think they could upgrade to a cleaner alternative. Overall a good experience, visiting again.
First time trying out food at this restaurant. Staffs were good. Menu options are more. Felt little pricey may be the location. Agree with other users Rice was less with the entree, even the gravy. Cashew curry was great. We thought we could try something special so ordered special pav bhaaji which was nothing but normal pav bhaaji topped with Unroasted cashew raisins🤦🏻♀️ on top which I wouldn’t recommend. Vada pav was good ,would have loved more if it was with fried chilli. Schwann noodles was good but quantity was less in comparison to price. Overall we liked our visit.
As one would expect from an Honest restaurant, the food is great. Enjoyed the dinner with the family. Ambience is not the same as you might expect at other Honest restaurants. Felt more like a chat place than a high-end restaurant. Service could be better but given it is a very busy time I might give it a pass. They missed one of my orders until the check was being created for the table, which made us stop ordering any dessert. The daily special combo was perfect for taste buds and plateful. The Chilli Cheese Sevpuri could be better.
Veg Manchurian, masala idli, dosa were good in taste! But Papadi chaat disappointed me because there was no dahi top on that! All the chutney were mixed or served like it was already prepared in advanced, Papadi looks like namak pare, and saggy! As per my experience, I feel like I shouldn’t pay for it, don’t recommend for Papadi chaat!
Dabang dosa was excellent. However Honest’s signature food pav bhaji was a bit disappointing. We also had cheese pulav which was ok. Kesar Pista Faluda was delicious. Got Dabeli for to go which was tasty. Overall liked the Honest food in Houston more compared to this location. But good service.
good vegetarian options, \n\npao bhai- could have the right quantity of Pao. but tastes well. so not a complaint but recommendation. 5/5\n\ndahi Bhalla nicely done. right spice level, could add some …
Good selection of Indian street foods...Good vegetarian options like dosas and chaats and mumbai / gujrati regional food. Prices are reasonable. Fast, friendly service.

With Honest consistency and quality both are on going issue. It’s bit of a hit or a miss deal.. basically, you just don’t know what you’re gonna get. Some dishes are good, and some are just not up-to the mark. Prices however, are consistently high throughput the menu, and certainly don’t justify their quality. Menu on the other hand is quite extensive. It seems like they are ‘quantity over quality’ restaurant. Wide variety of food options but quality lacks behind. But it cater to vegetarians and other dietary restrictions which is a HUGE plus IMO. Ambience is pretty average but location is prime. PS: I ordered Kadhi Pakoda. It looked decent. But there was no tanginess to it, which is one of main characteristics of Kadhi. Also, it needed some tempered dried red chilli tadka in mustard oil to season it properly. Needless to say, it completely missed the mark but it was decently edible, just didn’t have that traditional kadhi taste to it. # I also ordered Bhakri Pizza which tasted horrible. I paid $12 and it wasn’t $2 worth It’s a shame they call that epic disaster a pizza. It was 6” of hard crust, tomato ketchup laced disaster. Whoever calls that a pizza should be fired. There was not one redeeming quality of this so called pizza which it isn’t.
Atmosphere is good but food is not. What I felt is they serve frozen food and just heat it up and present it in good way. Chole Bhature was served with onion, it was cold which must be fridged after cut. Gulab Jamnun, again served Cold, who serves cold Gulab Jamun with a meal, it should be hot because you are going to have a desert not a sweet. Tried Veg Puff which was good but over-priced without paneer in it.

Usually it’s my favorite place to go as they have good vegetarian options additionally they have food which caters to certain dietary restrictions. I would say my experience is always 50/50 when it comes to food quality. One time it would be really tasty food and another time it could be completely off. The biggest challenge is consistency of good taste.

I am mad because I had high hopes for a sandwich. I took a takeout today and got burnt sandwich. How can they give such a burnt sandwich..
Worst food, sticky plates. I come here usually for the bahubali sandwich but they did not have enough jam and material in there. This was my last visit. I will never come or recommend anyone to try this dirty restaurant. Sticky plates are the wosrt thing to eat in. And they were pretty careless about it instead of making it right
I placed a pickup order and went to collect it. When I checked the bag, the masala pav dry placed at the top had a cockroach running inside the sealed food container. I immediately refused the order due to this serious hygiene issue. Instead of apologizing, the staff simply said they would give me a new one. This was extremely disappointing. The restaurant urgently needs to improve its cleanliness and customer service standards.
Extremely disappointing. The dish was overloaded with papdi to the point it was hard to enjoy. Everything was drenched in oil, making it heavy and greasy in the stomach. The balance of flavors was completely off — it felt more like eating fried dough than chaat. Not worth it, and honestly, we couldn’t even finish it.
Usually the food is hit and miss. In general the taste is not at par with compared to other locations of this chain. Since this place is close to our home, we visit this location more often for their 'chaat' options. There are some inconsitancies in the taste. BUT i had to write a review this time. I got vada pav ordered to go. I may have ate it after 15-20 minutes of picking up the food. The taste was horrible. This was the worst vada pav i have eaten in my life, may be the vada were overcooked/ burnt! OR the oil was old/burnt OR vadas were refried from yesterday's leftover... these all are my guesses by their look and taste. They were so bitter... or say weired taste that i couldnt take more than 2 bites... I took the first bite in excitement and took second bite to confirm that the taste is really BAD... There may be other good dishes but i would never order Vada pav from this place or recommend others to shy away from it. This place definitely needs improvement in their food quality.
