So there's pizza... but then there's Mountain Mike's. I would give this place more stars if I could. First, the food. We ordered one of their specialty pizzas and it was love at first bite. The ingredient quality is amazing, the crust is perfect (Even if you're not into crusts) and their wings are not too shabby. If you're going for some grub, this is the spot. If you're going to have a fun time and watch some sports or even hang out for a bit, their beer and drink selection is well above average for our town. Stop reading this, go eat.
I don't normally write reviews but tonight after spending a little Sunday afternoon by lake Murray I got hungry and like Michaelangelo craved pizza, luckily Kianna was a sweetheart having pleasant conversation with me about what I should order and Jaime made sure that my order was perfect. 10/5 would recommend to any friend. This is a neighborhood pizza place I would encourage all of my friends to try.
Great tasting pizza. Wish it wasn't extremely overpriced so I could purchase more often. Need the buffet to come back. If Hometown Buffet and Golden Corral are serving up buffets again during Covid, Mountain Mike's should follow suit.
Took the kids for the lunch buffet and had a good time. The pizza was delicious, the salad bar was more than I expected and there was a variety of seating options. I sat at a half booth/ half table while my teenage nephew chose a seat on the couch in front of the TV. They even had some kid toys to keep my toddler entertained while we ate
We enjoyed a awesome crispy combination pizza with a salad! The food was delicious, the prices are a bit high! But the quality of the pizza is worth every cent! Thank you for your great food and customer service skills!
Great food, pricey, but GOOD. Service was lacking today. The person behind the counter was on the phone a lot and made you feel you were inconveniencing them if you needed something or when someone else walked in. Pizza variety for the lunch special left more to be desired. I asked if they were going to make any more or a different pizza and they said "No, there are 2 slices of pepperoni, 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of deluxe, I'm not making more because i don't want to throw anything away" Idk if I'm just used to Central Valley Mountain Mikes hospitality, but I might have to try the other location next time.
There's a lot to love about Mountain Mike's. The pizza is absolutely delicious. They use fresh ingredients that really stand out. One thing I truly appreciate right now is contactless delivery. Yes, a lot of companies offer this, but many organizations struggle with consistency or fail to follow basic safety precautions. Mountain Mike's stands out by getting it right each time. Pizzas are delivered to your doorstep without any contact with the driver. Mountain Mike's is incredibly good about delivering exactly when promised, so there's no waiting around. And the pizza boxes even have a bit of security tape on them, which gives extra confidence that the food inside is fresh and clean. Writing this review is making my mouth water for another pizza!
This place is great. Awesome neighborhood pizza place. I used to love going here on Sunday nights, but, I no longer go. Why? Because they used to have non-dairy cheese for their pizzas upon request, and now they dont. (I can't have dairy) sad day when I found that out. If you can eat real cheese, then definitely go and grab a pie! For the owners, please add non-dairy cheese back to the menu so I can come back!
Hands down, the best pizza in the world! Or at least that I've ever tasted. The quality of the ingredients is unlike most places you go to. The sauce is perfected and the crust is perfect too. Worth every penny - although if it was cheaper we'd eat there way more often.
The garlic cheese bread here is to die for! The service here is exceptional. I ordered take-out for me and a few friends. Upon arrival, (I think her name was)September greeted me with a warm smile and was very knowledgable about all of the menu items. She suggested I try the Pike's Peak pizza in addition to my usual garlic bread. My friends and I loved it and had the best pizza night. Thanks Mountain Mike's, will definitely be coming back soon.
Honestly, everything's good here and the service is consistently great! But... The pepperoni they use is the BEST! If you love crispy-edged, curly, cup-shaded pepperoni, accept no substitutes! Be sure to get their "Mountain Size" (20 inches) if you REALLY love pepperoni as it comes with 200+ pieces!
Mountain Mikes is so good, they ruined all other pizzas for me. Even if it hadn’t, I’d come here for the service. Especially Terry, who knows his regulars by name, helps bring pizzas to the car, and gives 5 star service every time. See you next week Mountain Mikes, and every week after that…
We got two small pizzas (they were huge for me). They were super delicious, so perfect, exactly how I like them. Crispy, crunchy, full of meat (bacon, sausage and pepperoni).

I used to live in the Bay Area and have always enjoyed Mountain Mikes pizza. The pizza quality is of what Round Table pizza used to be, back when they still cared. For the most part, this Mountain Mikes has served up delicious pizza, except for the past couple of times we’ve visited. Last week was the worst. We ordered a large with extra sausage and bell pepper. The pizza had hardly any cheese on it. It looked as though they didn’t have enough cheese left in the bin for a full pizza but made it anyway. So lots of sauce poking through and though we paid for extra, there appeared to be just as much sausage and bell pepper as they would normally use. Additionally, we always ask for ranch and my boyfriend always offers to pay for the ranch but they tell us the ranch is free, however there have been a few times (including our last visit) that they have charged us for those same “free” ranch’s. Ive met the older man who runs this place and he is so hospitable but when he’s not around, it’s like everyone plays by their own rules. I’m hoping he will read this and make some corrections.
Wings are great. Especially the wings with a honey drizzle. Pizza is more than decent with crispy and thick cuts of meat topping. Impressive for the price. Not a bad location either to bring the kids or grab an after work beer.
I have ordered from here several times and they have pretty good food. The portions are large and everything is made fresh. The wait time for everything is pretty reasonable. The lady who always answers the phone is very nice. I've stepped inside a few times and the decor is very nice, the place is kept clean and sanitary. I would definitely recommend getting food from here, it can be a bit pricey but they have good coupons you can use and get more with every order.
Buffet is very good. They need to refill line faster there were many people waiting for pizza. At one point a pizza went out and the people grabbed it faster then it could be set down! But overall good place! Quality ingredients. 👍
The pizza was great but to get a regular pizza (i would expect it of it was a Chicago pizza) it took 30 min to get my pizza. Crust was great! Amount of toppings was great! The people not so Great. The restaurant was kinda rundown and dirty.
Good pizza and lots of creative specialty creations on the menu. Gluten free items available. Salad bar is expensive for what you get. This is an expensive pizza place and if you have coupons, you better use them. Have to say that the ingredients are top notch. If you have room left in your belly and want something sweet, they do have dessert.
We grabbed an early dinner and the food was pretty good. The staff seemed to be bored as there weren't many customers eating in. The dining area was pretty chilly and I wonder if the thermostat is in the kitchen. Not bad, will try again.
Worker was nice and greeted me. I was just picking up and she quickly got my pizza for me. It was quiet when I went inside but looks like a nice place to sit and eat at. Lots of parking as it’s apart of a strip mall. Pizza is always tasty just wish they used more sauce as it was lacking
The cashier was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the pizza was absolutely delicious. Perfect! Crisp on my pepperoni and I can't wait to try other selections from their menu.
Love this pizza so much! Their thin crust is great too! I would order from here way more often if it wasn’t so expensive. When I can, I get my pizzas here but I’ve had to order from cheaper places because the pizza that I like is almost $40 for a large here and $25 elsewhere. The food is sooo good though.
I went to try the $9 lunch buffet. It was a pretty good deal. You get all you can eat pizza and salad. I was not very hungry so I only had a few pieces of pizza. It was ok pizza, not my favorite but not my least favorite. The pizzas are were very little and they had had a few options, pepperoni, cheese, veggie, Hawaiian and an onion bacon one. There is a lot of seating area.
Best San Carlos pizza(reg/gluten free) option! Order & pay up front. No hassle with tipping! Family friendly splurge! Yum!
Very tasty pizza, good beers on tap, very friendly staff. It's a good place for lunch.

The pizza is good. But they have signs for all you can eat and there is not buffet they said it is because of covid, which I understand. They give me a menu with pasta options I tried to order pasta but they do not sell pasta anymore, I was like ok, I will order wings but when they give me the total for the wings it was more than the double of the price that was on the menu, cashier just said those are old prices. So, I just ordered the classic pepperoni pizza.
Pizza is great; a little pricey for the size but the toppings are top-notch in both quantity and quality. Strangely, the two boxed salads advertised on the menu are for takeout only, and the only option in-house is the salad buffet. Not knowing this, we tried to order a Caesar salad with the intention of splitting it and the cashier just told us (not very politely) that we couldn't do that and proceeded to ring up the (more expensive) buffet instead. Never did get a good explanation or apology for the confusion. I heard the customers in line behind us go through the same confusion and receive the same brusque treatment from the cashier... not sure there will be a next time for me.
We found the prices to be somewhat expensive....My husband and I went on a Sat evening and there were 3 or 4 other people dining in. We had 2 salad bars and ordered 1 personal pan pizza. It took 45 min before getting our pizza. We noticed the seats to our booth were very dirty. pizza us always
The pizza is good and the delivery people are friendly, but I was unimpressed with the management of this particular restaurant. While placing my order, the person neglected to ask for payment method, which I take as a sign that all payment methods are fine. When the delivery guy asked for cash only at the door, I had none. The manager (who was on the phone) told me it was my job to ask about payment method and blamed me for the mixup. She did not apologize and was quite rude. The delivery guy was very nice and was the only saving grace. The manager needs to learn how to run a restaurant.
We live in the neighborhood and have eaten here several times. The pizza is different compared to many other places. I like it although it is not a favorite. The only thing that's missing here is outside seating. There looks like there is space at least for some tables and I remember in the past there used to be a basic table outside but not anymore. I would eat here more often if they would make a nice outside area like The Little Coffeehouse next door. They have a great and inviting outdoor area and people always sit there too.
Good food, a bit pricey. They were a little in the weeds, but the woman who took our order was working very hard and was very attentive. Great place to watch sports. There was another employee who was preoccupied with hanging out with his friends in the dining room. Not a good look.

They have definitely cut quality this is supposed to be light jalapenos and extra pepperoni and look what I hot the opposite but I paid 30.00$ for a 15 dollar pizza I used to order 2 times a week I think I wont be a customer anymore it is continually getting worse. Look at what it is supposed to look like I'd pay 30 for the pic all day long.
Ordered the "touchdown feast," part of the order was missing and the food quality was disappointing. Has lost some quality since the last time I ordered months ago.
Ordered a three topping XL, and a small cheese, with loaded potatoes and ranch dressing on online. Order said it would promise to be ready at 4:02 pm. Got there at 4:00 and asked if the order was ready. Guy said it hasn't been started yet and that he just clocked in? What does him clocking in have to do with my pizza being ready? There were several other employees working there and there was only two customers in the dining area. Three other pick ups walked in after waiting for 10 minutes or so, and the same guy told them the exact same thing he told me "just clocked in, and the order hasn't been stared yet but we're working on it". Now I know the guy was BSing me and those customers too. The pizza was not as good as it used to be. Especially when it cost almost $80. Just not worth it. For a premium pizza, you're definitely not getting what you pay for. Round Table has better pizza and loads it with toppings and the service is way better. This place needs better management. Major disappointment and won't be going back ever again👎
This location is a hit or miss regarding food and service. This time we arrived around 5pm and the service was excellent and the food was good, although the pizza order was wrong. We ordered our extra cheese to be put on top of the toppings to keep them from rolling/falling off the pizza, but that did not happen. The time before, it was busy and they misplaced our order and it took over an hour before our pizza was finally made and served to us an hour and a half later. Both times we dined inside the restaurant. No consistent service or food at the La Mesa location. Bummer.
Enjoyed the pizza, but really disappointed with the service. We placed our order with a 5:40pm delivery time given. When the order still did not arrive at 6pm I called to check, all I got was a very bothered employee to snap at me that “we’re really busy, should be 10 more minutes”. Order finally arrived at 6:15, missing the pineapple we added, but we were just glad it came. How can you be 35 minutes late on an order and not even say sorry? Offer a coupon? Nothing. I’m not fussy, I understand that restaurants have a lot to manage, so I’m prepared to give places the benefit of the doubt. But there’s enough pizza places around that won’t deliver 35 minutes late and act like you’re being rude for asking about it.
Nice looking place inside. Several large T.V. sets with sports on. Nice atmosphere. Satisfactory service when ordering and the food was served in a satisfactory amount of time. Problem was when we received the food. The dipping sauce for the mozzarella sticks had a long hair in it. We noticed that after eating one of the sticks. Notified the counter and was provided a replacement dipping sauce. Nobody wanted to eat any more sticks though. Pizza looked appetizing but was mediocre. Crust wasn't very crisp. Pepperoni was very good but the rest was nothing special.
I love pizza and wings. I grew up in New York so it’s apart of me. Taste and quality wise this place is bad. The lady was very nice who took my order, but the wings are the pre-made ones you can buy at Walmart and the pizza tasted like a DiGiorno that’s been sitting out.
My family and I ordered two large pizzas last night, and the quality of food we were provided definitely did not reflect the $50 price. The three topping pizza was missing pretty much all three toppings. The only reason this isn't a one star review is due to the fact that the pepperoni pizza actually had pepperoni on it. If you are going to charge your customers this much money, you should ensure the quality of your food reflects that.
The pizza was ok, kinda taste like Pizza Hut pizza just with more pepperoni. We did order through Door Dash, so it did take a minute. The wings we ordered weren’t even edible because they were way over cooked. For the price we paid there is just better options to choose from.

45 minute wait for takeout when I was told it would be 15. The place wasn’t even busy. The one in Clairemont is way faster and busier. Update. After an hour, we just requested the order to be canceled. They didn’t show any empathy. I wish I had not left a cash tip. Horrible customer service.
Ordered a couple pizzas to go. Went in to get them and employee with a cloth mask refused to complete order for me without a mask. I asked if they had any masks. She told me to go to CVS next door. She took the same amount of time to cancel my order as it would have taken to give me my prepaid pizzas. To think, I grabbed cash to tip as well. You lost a regular customer. I totally respect your right to refuse service 100%.
Walked in at 830pm looking to order to go and they close at 9, but apparently the kitchen closes at 830. Most close 15mins before closing time or at the time they close. The pizza here is great as is dinning in to watch a game while you eat. Sadly you can't enjoy either when they close before their closing time. I would suggest another mountain mikes.
Expensive. I ordered a Large pizza, no meat and my bill came to about $40. My pizza was undercooked! My first time visiting this place was also my last. The pizza had zero sauce! Lots of cold sliced tomatoes and green peppers....not even cooked! I may as well have ordered a salad on top of a pizza crust! I did not complain because I hate making two trips after buying bad food. I will not return there. I've heard there are pizza places that are excellent . I hope this place wakes up or hire a new owner. A pizza that's frozen from the grocery store is better in my opinion.
Definitely the worst calzone I have ever had. If I wanted terrible crust folded in half, I would have order a papadia from Papa Johns. Which might be an insult to them. Not only was the order wrong, they did not use I fresh garlic, possibly from a jar 🤢. It’s clear their claim for using fresh fresh ingredients is false. I do not understand why they have such a high review rating.
Partner and I came in late (8pm) so maybe it rushed cooking but we both got food poisoning (vomiting and diarrhea) for a few days afterwards. Besides that, food was great until it messed us both up the next few days. Service and everything else was great, super bummed to leave a poor review
Had an order for delivery @630. After multiple calls, finally cancelled order at 8pm. Every call said order was out for delivery. Lies. Last call claimed pizza was already delivered and person hung up on us. Frequent orderer. No longer.
Stated what I wanted 5 times. Obviously I wasn't understood. So me being from where I am, expecting the service that I should receive! Even at jack in the box it was obviously not expected by the staff at this location. When someone from the Midwest whom is Midwest nice has to start swearing to get what they ordered. Big huge fail.
