Punto rojo one of the best columbian Latin restaurant in queens hands down.my wife first introduced me to this restaurant years ago .The food is delicious, the give you really nice big portions of food, for a decent price. From there grilled salom & steamed vegetables to their breaded chicken breast & yellow rice & beans with and tostones .The food is great ,seasoned just right .they also have a nice variety of pastries, birthday cakes ,cupcakes, cheese cakes lemon cake ,coconut cakes .i would rank there pastries right up there with the best of the bakeries in queens. The staff is friendly and courteous, the restaurant is very clean,they are still my number one latin restaurant. That's why iam giving punto rojo 5 stars.And it is a plus that they are still open during this pandemic period. Still going strong in jamaica queens.

I don't busy NYC often but when I do, Punto Rojo is a must-visit. The quality of the food and juices more than make up for the overuse of florescent lighting and odd decorations. If you get the bandeja paisa make sure you haven't eaten for at least 24 hours ahead of time; it is a meat bonanza.

The food is soooooooooooooo good. Not to mention the empanadas and cakes!!!!!! YUMMMMMMMY!!!!!!! If you don't speak much Spanish it may be difficult to order over the phone for delivery. In the bakery itself the language barrier isn't as bad. Overall fantastic!

Punto Rojo has been around for quite some time, and I used to order from them regularly, both dining in and for delivery. While I haven't tried their baked goods, one dish they consistently get right is the mini bandeja paisa. It features grilled steak and chicharrón, served with a fried egg, beans, avocado, and arepa. Absolutely delicious!

The owner was nice. I had arepas for the first time. For the experience I had , it was pretty nice. It was tasty and had a nice mozzarella center. The empanadas could be better. It was edible though.It had nice savory taste. It was little under dry and I wish they had some more vegetables with the chicken filling.

Had huevos en caserola (2 fried eggs served in a mini frying pan) with arepa con queso for breakfast. It was great with a café con leche. Also had chorizo con arepa and the meat empanadas (both pictured) were also very good. Good service. Would definitely go back.

Sooo I never had a problem with punto rojo i been around the area for almost 3 years now. I love there food especially there Mini bandeja it’s good !! But I went to get an empanada for me and my daughter as I was talking a bite it felt hard and I was gonna my daughter the inside part only to see this.

Punto rojo is place where you can take your friends for a quick coffee with some authentic Colombian empanadas. I come here every Monday to get their “Pan con Jamón” and their chocolate. I think their pareces are reasonable. The only complaint I have is that they don’t have their empanadas or their bread ready in the morning. If you want to eat any empanadas or bread you have to wait until after 10 am.

I was excited to try Punto Rojo while on vacation because I love Colombian breakfast and had heard good things. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we sat down, the staff treated us poorly — we received rude looks and dismissive attitudes. We had multiple servers who seemed confused about our table and the bill, and it felt like we were being questioned as if we weren’t going to pay, which was insulting. After paying, I ordered a cholado to go. I was clearly waiting for it with my receipt in hand, yet when I walked out, the owner stopped me in a rude and confrontational way demanding to see the receipt, as if I was trying to steal. I showed the receipt, but by then the experience was already ruined. On top of the service issues, the restaurant did not appear clean — there were flies around our table. I left feeling disrespected and embarrassed, and I will not be returning. I don’t recommend this place based on my experience.

Make sure when you order for pick up, you get your full order. I order a plate that comes with avocado and when it got here there was no avocado. The girl did not even tell me when I placed the order or even when I picked it up. I called to let her know they are missing a part of the order and she said “oh yeah the avocados have gone bad”. SUCH a shady business practice, it is important to be transparent. I pay for a full order at-least be honest, no when a costumer calls to ask about the rest.
