We really enjoyed our visit here and shared a good lunch with friends. The cornbread and green beans I had were great. However the special was a chicken dish that was dry and seemed a little over cooked. I would enjoy another visit sometime however and encourage others to visit as well.

This may be our last time here. Ordered a biscuit and sausage gravy with 2 over medium eggs. Other ordered meat loaf and mashed potatoes and gravy with a biscuits. Main complaint--the biscuits were over cooked and crusty, hard to cut with an even a knife. My eggs were over easy, with some of the white runny. The gravy was good but biscuit and gravy were at best tepid. My guest says meat loaf was average with gobs of uncooked ketchup on top. Mashed potatoes and gravy were the best. The nice big biscuit was hardly edible, due to being overcooked. Usually, I'd send items back for being cold or not cooked properly, but we were in a hurry. I have had decent food here, but not as good the last two times.

Not Today

First time diner. The atmosphere is plesant and clean, and our waitstaff was quite pleasant and helpful. I ordered the country fried steak sandwich and my BF ordered the meatloaf sandwich, both with fries. The meatloaf definitely tastes like it's pre-made and it doesn't come cold, as we thought it would as the waitress asked if he wanted it warmed (he declined). My chicken fried steak was tasteless, but the toppings were fresh. I had asked if the fries could be made crispy and our waitress assured me they could - they didn't. And the iced tea is weak (basically brown colored water). Overall, the fare is decent and filling, and their prices are reasonable.

Seated ourselves, server was over in a flash, we browsed the menu, looked around clean & tidy There was a-lot on the menu and photos I chose the hash-brown bowl with all the meats. Hubby some eggs, toast and grits. There was a huge helping of gravy on the bowl and needed to move some over to get the meat, or lack of, was only one bacon, a spoonful of ham and hardly any sausage. Hubby was not fond of the egg maybe they were carton eggs not sure, he ate the toast and meat inside the omelette. When we come back will order gravy on side and try again with the 3 meats, and hubby will get a pancake prob. The food was room temp, glad to know it wasn't burnt up in a microwave but sad still we had luke warm food. We spent $50 a little expensive for two people. I knew the extra meat would put my cost up around $13 and I was fine with that, our server was putting in another order and we were in a hurry to get on so we could not review the ticket, paid and left. After we ordered and I had to get up to get my water out of truck, the server asked my hubby if everything was ok, he said to me she prob thought we were walking out well we had no food yet so.......... After reading some of the other reviews was a little terrified of the kickback, please do not ask your guests to bring anything up at time of service, most folks do not want confrontation.

when i got the receipt back after paying the check -- i was confused because the prices i was charged were more than the menu listings -- turns out -- they add a 4% penalty for using a credit card -- no where -- note in menu, card on table, heads up from server -- is this fact communicated to the diner -- it's just dumped on you -- if a vendor gives a discount for paying cash -- that's your prerogative -- if you penalize me for using a credit card -- you will never see me again. food was adequate, service was adequate.

My wife got take out from here today. I really wanted it to be good, and someone recommended this place to me. I got the roast beef sandwich. I opened the box to 3 pieces of bread, mashed potatoes on the bread, and this "roast beef" all around it. I'll usual still eat something even if it's not good. This wasn't edible. It was like dog food. I honestly didn't know what this meat was as it looked like rubber or old dried up beans. It tasted awful too... worse than canned meat. Definitely not a sandwich. I ate the mashed potatoes, which weren't bad but definitely not made fresh, probably from a powder. My wife's fried pork chops were at least decent. Overall, I can't find a reason to go back. I want to support local business, but this was extraordinarily bad.

I ordered a hamburger and chicken sandwich only to find out that you have to request lettuce, tomato, onion, etc specifically. All I received were 2 very bad quality pieces of meat on some soggy buns with cold, soggy French fries. You could tell the quality of food was horrible, just by it's appearance. It is beyond me how ANYONE can serve food like this and be okay with people spending their hard earned money on it!! Needless to say, it all went in the garbage!! If you are looking for a good tasting, quality meal, stay as far away as you can from here! It's not even worth the 1 star!!!

The food was cold and just gross. I asked for over easy eggs and instead got hard fries eggs. The gravy that comes with the biscuits and gravy is disgusting, thick, flavor less.... Husband got a cheese steak sandwich with onion rings. It came out cold. The bun was burnt black edges. Asked for chili and cornbread but wasn't able to get the chili but he still wanted the cornbread. When I tell you that this cornbread was as hard as a rock that is no exaggeration! It was dry and disgusting! We will not be going back there again. We were just trying to try out a new local joint for when I got off work at midnight. I do not recommend going there!

I just left there after sitting in an hour waiting for my food and everybody around me that had come after me got their food as I was leaving without my food. The lady said well it’s OK and I said no it’s not. I’ve spent an hour sitting here waiting on Food this was my first Time here and we have really wanted to experience what the food would be like. We used to come here years and years ago, and it was kind of nostalgic. I understand they were busy, but when they checked on my ticket, it was way in the back, not even started. Maybe we’ll try again sometime.

So door dashed a pick up for myself the western spud. Had this before and it was delicious! This time though food looks horrible. Tried to call twice to resolve and with 2 different people, both times bad phone service or they did not want to deal with it. The 1st picture is supposed to be chicken. Update- Took the food back and spoke with a nice lady. Was told that you now have to request grilled chicken and not this "chicken." Doordash did refund most of money. In reply to the owner: do you truly think questioning-how others operate fixes anything. There was no offer to resolve anything that day. And replying to the people rudely in a community that you rely on to support your business is ridiculous! I truly hope you do better. Have a blessed life.

Definitely won’t be back. I’m not Karen that likes to bash places but this place truly sucked. We had dined here once before with the best experience. HOWEVER that was not the case this second and final time around. From the beginning the server was not attentive. She was an older lady who was very judgy. Anyways I know I’m not going to like everyone and not everyone is going to like me. That is fine. What was not fine was the bug that crawls out from the bench my family and I were sitting. I noticed what it was and DISCRETELY told my server. It was a bed bug. She looked at me like I was crazy. She said she was going to go tell the owner/manger. I watched her walk over there and they started talking about it in utter disbelief like I made this up for a free meal. Owner walks over and completely dismisses me. Said they don’t live on wood. DUH. I am assuming it came in and fell off someone’s clothes. I was just trying to be proactive and tell them PRIVATELY so they can prevent a bigger issue. I was not being rude or disrespectful. I was just trying to inform them. After this they all started crap talking us. My server never came back to my table except to ask for a tip and payment. The other lady is the one who brought our food. Just really crappy service. Food was okay. But we won’t be returning.

This was my 2nd visit. Just like my first visit, the food was not good. The bacon on my BLT was like trying to bite into a rock and I had to remove the bacon. The most frustrating issue was the prices on their menu did not match what they charged us. We brought this to their attention but they acted like we didn’t know what know what we were talking about. Menu price for my sandwich was $6.95. Cost on the bill was $7.23. Menu price for drink was $3.25. Cost on the bill was $3.38. We paid cash for our food so don’t understand why we got these extra charges. We will not return to this diner nor will we recommend them to anyone else.

Worst experience ever. My husband ordered the Philly and fries and coffee. Fries were stone cold and greasy. Coffee was old and stale. Sandwich was small and smashed. I ordered the grilled chicken (menu says smothered with mushrooms, bacon and Jack cheese) dinner with baked potato (butter and sour cream) pintos and cornbread and unsweetened tea. The chicken was overcooked and dry and had NOTHING on it. She forgot my butter and sour cream. I could read a newspaper through my tea. And the cornbread was so dry it was incredible. They remade the chicken and it came out lukewarm, with bacon and half melted shredded cheese and COLD mushrooms out of a can! All this hot mess for $50 for the two of us! We will never go back there. If you've not been there, save yourself the trip and don't bother.

Ordered through Uber Eats 2 dinner plates and a dessert. Only one box arrived - ice cream, butter, sauces and I'm assuming the desert itself, but not all of it... That was ALL that arrived, even though the ticket attached to the bag, clearly listed what was not there.... No clue what the matter was with this place, but I'm not chancing it again.

I went there Friday which is pork chop Day special BUT I ordered the fried chicken dinner with mash potatoes out of a box and Macaroni and cheese out of a box and Sweet tea. I asked the waitress what part of the chicken do I get and she didn’t know. So when the cook wearing a ankle bracelet sit my order on the counter for pickup and it cooled off since my waitress was working on stocking the shelves so my supper sit there over 5 minutes because everyone else were looking at the receipt and had no idea which table/customer it belonged to. So when my waitress brought me my chicken out of a plastic bag from Sam’s I cut into it and it was a pork chop out of a bag from Sam’s so she took it back and got my chicken and it’s shaped just Like the pork chop so I can understand why she got confused they’re both flat and pre coated out of a bag so it can cause confusion. This was my first and last meal here. I was hoping to contribute to small local business. Roach hotels don’t help either. Ain’t happening.
