I was camping at June lake campground and ran out of beer. Luckily JLB is walking distance from the campground, only about 5 min, so we were easily able to fill our growler and get back to camp. Not only is the beer great, but cheap! At the time we were there, our growler fill of pale ale was only $11. Can’t. Beat. That.
I had the most delicious cider from June Lake Brewing! If I remember correctly it was a huckleberry cider, but I’m not 100% sure! Either way it was so tasty! They have tables outside to hang out and have your drinks. There is also an amazing Hawaiian food truck called Ohana 395 that shares the same parking lot. Definitely recommend everyone gives this place a try!
Absolutely friendly staff! And amazing beer! If you’re looking for an amazing time and amazing drinks come to June Lakes Brewery! Would definitely come here over any other brewery near by! Loved it here! Delicious beer 🤤!!!!!!!!!!! Stayed 2 minutes away from the brewery and we were amazed and happy with our choice! Had to bring 2 growlers with us! Bar tender was absolutely amazing with us and helping us with our drinks!
Great, tasty and thoughtful beer selection. Staff was fabulous and love the fact they appreciate decisive decision making in beer decisions. Big bonus on a collab with a Canadian brewery (Jack Knife) in these times. The result, Stabby's Impaler Ale, is tasty.
I didn't drink here, just brought four beers for after driving back to Bishop. First off, they let you mix & match to go beers. I got an IPA, a hazy IPA, a double IPA & a Stout for the wife. It was $24 for 4 beers & the barmaid told me I didn't have to tip but I gave her 20% as it can't be cheap living up there. Every penny counts. Plus she knew her stuff. The beers were really nice. Especially sitting by a pool, in 27C weather, surrounded by snowy mountains. I shall return (read that in Thomas Hearns accent)
Awesome crew! Open on Xmas day (with a generator) when the town had now power
Great atmosphere and even better beer! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the place has a fun, lively energy. Bonus points for the cute dogs
June Lake Brewing is the sunlit heart of its namesake alpine village—a bright, airy taproom filled with mountain charm, community warmth, and finely crafted beer. Set apart from the darker bars of Mammoth, Bishop, and Bridgeport, it offers high ceilings, ample outdoor seating, and a funky, friendly vibe accented by walls covered in police and firefighter badges. The beer is excellent, with standouts like Deer Beer Brown and the Milk Stout, while non-drinkers are treated to custom-brewed zero-percent sparkling hop water of surprising quality. Spotless bathrooms, family-friendly energy, and its location just off the June Lake Loop—close to Yosemite but far from the crowds—make this brewery a rare gem: intimate, communal, and unmistakably rooted in the high Sierra.
In an era when craft breweries are lowering serving sizes, June Lake Brewing is still serving 20 oz "imperial" pints. The Alpers Pale Ale and Mini Ramp session IPA are some of the best beer I've had during this Eastern Sierras trip. I still have to try the other options. Grab a sandwich at the deli above the brewery, or something at the permanent food truck.
After a great day on the mountain, I couldn’t have landed in a better place. A beer lover and as virgin to JLB, this place normally had great beer, the environment is perfect, and staff were great! Could stay here for hours!! Thank you!
June Lake Brewing has a cool mountain vibe and is worth a stop if you’re in the area. The Hazy IPA is hands-down the standout — full of flavor, juicy, and perfectly balanced. It’s easily one of the best hazies I’ve had. The rest of the beer lineup is decent but nothing particularly memorable. Still, a great spot to relax, grab a pint, and enjoy the scenery. If you’re a hazy fan, this place won’t disappoint.
Very nice beer selection and a good food truck. SUPER AWESOME BEER
Great selection of beers. Ciders, N.A. seltzers, all great options! Fun outdoor area. Friendly staff.
A must stop after a long drive! This is the first place we come when we get to town. Beer is good staff is great and food trucks never disappoint!
Staying in June Lake with buddies. decided to check out the brewery. Glad we did. Great selection from sours to IPA to Stouts. Fresh mountain air overlooking Eastern Sierras. Enjoyed the Stouts, but the Porter stole the show. They have food trucks on property to purchase food from. Half pints, Pints, and 20 oz. pours available. You can get tasters of the beers, but at this time they do not have flights. Unfortunately they do not allow dogs on property. Definitely recommend this place if you are in June Lake or even in Mammoth.
Nice little stop after checking out Bodie. Civilization! Hockey and Logger were good. Also don't see why people are complaining about bringing their dogs. You're coming for a beer, not a dog party.
Great beers, great staff, cool location.
Awesome hang out spot with lots of seating. We had the seltzer and the Japanese lager and both were fresh, crisp and tasty. They have a food truck on site that was also good.
What a great place! They serve their own beer that they brew right at this place. You can see the tanks. They don't offer bar service so you have to get up to get another beer. Lines are sometimes long but they are also really fast. So don't worry! You can open a tap and also get food from the food truck next door. Didn't try that tho. Beer is really good and you can get it fresh from the tap in a can or bottle to go! Great gift also!
If you are in Mammoth don’t miss out on this little jem of a town amongst the sierras. June Lake is 15min drive to such a beautiful place. We stopped at this June Lake Brewing and was excited to find High quality drinks for good value. They have trendy apparel that’s organic material.
Great spot in June Lake to enjoy a beer. We brought a pizza over to enjoy and had a couple different beers in their outdoor patio area. Very dog friendly place with half a dozen dogs there while we visited. There’s a nearby food truck that serves and brings your order inside to you as well. Sadly no stouts this role we visited but their IPA and Porter were good. Would come back again!

Killer brewery with to-go cans and onsite food trucks. Indoor/Outdoor seating with amazing views
Great beers, great staff, cool location.

Best brewery in June Lake (not sure there are any others), but still the honors are there and worth a visit if you are visiting the Mammoth Mountain area. We stopped here after a fall hike and were not disappointed. I have had their beer and thought it was pretty good, so worth coming to the tap room to try out some others. They have some flavorful IPAs with fun names (Dipsh!t Dragon or Ninja Turtle. Hockey Fight and Juiced Marmont were once I tried off mountain). They have inside and outside patio seating and normally have a food truck cooking up something good. Parking can be difficult but don't give up, it's worth it
The beer at June Lake Brewing isn't just delicious, it's exceptional. Also, the folks working there are welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. They somehow manage to treat everyone like family even though they must serve truckloads of people each day. Do yourself a favor and visit whenever you're in the area. I know we sure do!

Had driven past the brewery before when taking the scenic route from LA to Reno but decided to stop in this time. Warehouse style brewery with food truck for food options, except food trucks were closed - that's ok, wasn't here for food anyway. The Alpers Trout Pale Ale was a solid hoppy representation of the style. Also had an Imperial which was robust and delicious!
JLB has a Great set up on the backside of the main Street in the city. With great outdoor patio seating, you can catch some rays when the sun is overhead. I ended getting a flight of 4 beers. -Bucci Cat cream ale (5%) : a bit bland for my taste didn't get too much cream -ESBzar (7%): maltyness, mildly reddish color -Rock 'n Dirt milk stout ( 4.7%): smooth, chocolate notes -Smokin' Porter (7%): chocolate in the front and cofeeish in the back flavors Wife opted for the Sasquatchito XPA (4.7%): heavy pine and citrus profile Ohana's food truck situated in the same lot, if the hunger pangs are coming on. Chill place to grab a brewski and chill.
Cute funky brewery. Beers are so good, esp the Oishii and Kolsch. The Kolsch is award winning and so good Tara helped is and she is the bomb dot com. So fun, we cant wait to go back!! Then we came back to Mammoth to have dinner at Gojira and had the June Lake Brew Kolsch there too! Lol! Cheers 🍻
After a day of touring beautiful alpine lakes, we visited June Lake last and sat beside the lake and let the sun set while our lab swam in the water. After, we decided to visit the brewery before heading back to our campsite. Unlike many breweries, this one is not dog-friendly, unfortunate because we were travelling with our dog. We decided to make a quick stop anyway and got a taster tray. We like the atmosphere, service was good, and the beers were tasty. We liked the amber, the deer beer brown and the milk stout. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm June night. Great visit!
Fun time at the local brewery. Good selection of bears and a good local hangout. It's a little cold when it snows, but it's part of the experience. I'm definitely coming back.

While this is a new brewery, I was still disappointed in the quality of their beers. Everything tasted really "light." Was missing the complexity of local, craft brewery. For me, it was bland. I also wished that they offered flights or tastings. Nope. Just have to buy a whole glass!
Beer and atmosphere were good but they ask for a 20-30% tip but won’t even hand you your beers. They make you walk to the far side of the bar to pick them up even after just pouring them and no other customers were there. Tip for what 🤷🏻♀️
The food truck is pretty good. The old Hawaiian food truck is gone. I wish JLB would offer a gluten free beer option.

The beers were very okay at best. Not many options when in the area. Also super weird that they are not dog friendly. The beertender even seemed proud when asked about the dog policy. I'd pass and just continue to mammoth.
Place is great and love going there. Bad review because they don’t allow dogs. Came out to camp this weekend and was looking forward to having some beers, only to find out no dogs. Crazy! What outdoor brewer doesn’t allow dogs!! Kind of made my weekend a bummer
Used to be dog friendly; used to spend every single visit up to June Lake area at this brewery. Used to love it. Now, I’m very disappointed that they made their OUTDOOR area NOT dog friendly. And they’re rude about it. Hmmm…I’ll go spend my money elsewhere. Shame.
Boo. Not dog friendly. Walked in and out. I've never been to an outside brewery that was not dog friendly. Would have loved to spend sone money here but was unable to. Down the road we went to the Gull Lake Marina. Buy a beer and enjoy the beautiful lake with your pups. Little store you can buy a beer at.
