Spot on and just a fabulous experience! Without a doubt this is the most luxurious restaurant and bar in the whole of La centerra and probably Katy as well! The moment you step, you are taken in by the perfection of everything! Upon seating you are greeted by a friendly and vibrant staff! In my case it was Alejandro, who was just too good! Made the right recommendations for me on both drinks and food. The staff is friendly, professional and really nice! Every diner gets a tray of nachos, house sauce and salsa, I also got their very delicious corn on the cob since I was a first time customer. The corn was delicious and it went very very well with the margarita. The margarita itself was spot on! I haven’t had such a good margarita in a long time. The fish tacos was nice however I found them to be a little bland. The fish in the taco was delicious and perfectly grilled. The added spicy sauce made the taco perfect. I highly recommend visiting Ambriza! And I’m definitely going there again.

We finally had a chance to try out this place and we are so happy we did! The chips and the salsa are great! I have two picky eaters (yup even picky on the chips) but they really loved the chips. The chips were thin and crispy and just the right amount of salt. Also the green salsa was amazing! Not too spicy but packed with flavor. Then there was the corn on the cob and OMG they were good!!! Really brought back memories of when I was younger and ate them with my family. Very juicy corn. I tried the enchiladas and they were delicious! I also really love how they serve the child's plate. It was perfect!! My kids are picky on what food touches what. It even had a tiny dessert. I will definitely be back to try some more food and even a margarita. I missed my chance this time but for sure the next! The staff was also very friendly. Loved it!

Food was Amazing and manager with staff was great!!! I was not a fan of the short ribs. Pieces were small and the corn bedding is grainy like eating uncooked cornbread mix. Great flavor though! Everything else was perfect. Especially the Empanadas we had beef and chicken. OMG the corn on the cob! I can eat that all day!!! Will go back and enjoy more of the options.

Went to Ambriza Lounge on what I called my “heartbreak night..and wow… it was exactly what I needed. The music hit just right the vibe was electric and the service was on point. Manuel my server made me feel so taken care and manager Jesús was genuinely kind like talking to an old friend but you better believe I’m coming back here for my birthday. Thanks thanks!!

I enjoyed it, the food was good, can’t go wrong with the beef fajita, and free fresh conchas on the house, our server Marcel was great with an awesome attitude!!! The drinks were good, expensive but good lol! We all enjoyed it. It is on the pricy side I agree with the other reviews but other than that I enjoyed my time with the fam.

Philippe is the best waiter here. He catered to everyone. Very respectful and nice. My daughter placed her bag on the floor, and he provided a bag rack for it. He explained every part of the menu and the specials. Food is very tasty and authentic. Everything is fresh! Highly recommended.

Even though they are located in thriving location, Felipe does not take his guests for granted. He is extremely hospitable and forthcoming. My husband raved about the enchiladas, and their cocktails were top-notch—especially the Cucumber Serrano Margarita, which was absolutely amazing. This was our first time here and the very first impression was the wonderful staff and atmosphere. A member greeted us with such accommodation we had our motorcycle jackets, backpacks, helmets and she gave us a coat rack that fit all of our belongings and that made my night we felt so important lol the bartender Vanessa was so kind and so informative along with the rest of the bar team I mean from top to bottom the service was outstanding you won’t be disappointed!!

Ambriza was super good and lives up to the hype for sure. Place was super clean and the food was really good. They give you a free street corn if it’s your first time and that was amazing! Chips and salsa was really good that they give you at the beginning as most Mexican restaurants do. If you get a margarita, definitely get it on the rocks vs frozen because they give you an extra almost half drink on the side with each margarita as opposed to frozen when they do not. Super yummy would return!

One of the best first experiences I’ve ever had. Marcel was an awesome server, matter of fact the best server I’ve ever had. After bringing us tons of chips and salsa, the manger of the establishment brought us free elotes. They were some of the best I’ve ever had. Wow. Just wow. Authentic Mexican at its finest. Amazing food and drinks, great menu selections plus happy hour. 3 different staff members came to check on us during our meal. Top notch service. Very nice atmosphere and decor, the staff is super attentive and friendly. Carlotta came to our table and offered a sample of their margaritas and had it not been for that, I would have never tried their award winning cucumber margarita on the rocks which is such a unique delicious drink- must try it ! The passion fruit margarita is definitely one I’ll order next time. This is authentic Mexican food, I would say the portions are a bit small for the price because the plate with the steak had a lot of empty space. The mole needs a bit more spices and salt. They did provide a free appetizer for being our first time and they gave my birthday boy a free dessert. Over all good first impression and experience. PS- The patron bottle in the restroom is mouthwash not hand soap! And they provide the ladies a rack to hang your purse— a great idea!

Favorite restaurant! The service was exceptional!! We were checked on multiple times, all the workers smiled and said hi, our server (Miguel) was cheerful and kind, and the food came out fast! There is something about being around joyful and genuinely kind people. It puts a smile on your own face. Since it was our first time there they gave us samples of their margaritas and corn!! Both were AMAZING!! Then our food. My eyes were rolling to the back of my head. The Yucca fries…ummm what?! SO GOOD! I ordered the veggie tacos and oh my word!!! The flavor and homemade tortillas: perfection. My mom ordered the beef enchiladas and she kept making remarks how amazing it was. Wow! Incredible and fast service! Food was delicious! My family and I, party of six, had dinner on a Thursday night. We requested outdoor seating and waited less than 15 minutes to be seated. Our waiter, Danny, treated us to a complimentary appetizer as a gift for our first visit. He brought out Mexican street corn that was off the chain!!! It was delicious and not too spicy. Our food was on the table in less than 10-15 minutes. We were stunned since we are a large family. Between members of our family we ordered fish tacos, crema poblana soup, alambre, quesabirrias, and a few items off the kids menu. All of the items were great, but the Alambre was by far the favorite item we ordered. I highly recommend this place.

I was walking around LaCenterra with my family during the holidays and we came across this spot. I’m so glad we did because it was a great experience! We came for lunch and sat outside. We were seated quickly especially given that we're a group of 7. The server, Veronica, was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The manager checked in on us several times. The food was quick and so good. Everything we ate was good including the Queso Horneado, the elote, the empanadas, and the fajitas.

Dog friendly patio, hidden gem for brunch. Authentic Mexican dishes. Unique sweet bread and hot chocolate served from a wheeled cart. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to make our brunch visit amazing that set my mood for the day. I had the brisket and eggs, but something for all on their brunch menu. Ask for Pearla, she is outstanding!! I asked the manager to give her a raise!

It was an amazing experience. The service was top tier and the food was delicious! I had the enchiladas, beef, shredded enchiladas and my friend had a shrimp salad. Both were delicious. I had the cucumber margarita and it was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend Ambriza to my friends and family visiting Katy, Texas. They sang happy birthday to me and also gave me the signature churro cart with chocolate and caramel. It was a good time!

Our experience at Ambriza was top notch. While the atmosphere and food were both great, the friendliness of the staff is what really stood out. I have to eat gluten free, but there were plenty of delicious sounding options along with the care to ensure the meal was safe. I honestly don't know where to start. We ordered entirely too much, and it was all amazing. we love all of Hugo's joints, he's a legend, but honestly I think this is our new favorite traditional Mexican place. This is proper Mexican food, from the lechon dorado to some of the best pan dulce I've had outside of CDMX. We could have eaten here affordably. We chose not to eat here affordably, and now I'm walking like a penguin with two doggy boxes. Worth it.

Everybody was so welcome and, bright faces Bright smiles, the food and the margaritas were excellent. I was still early enough to have the breakfast menu options, so I got the steak and egg. The steak was so good..... 😂 The refried beans used black beans instead of pinto which was different for me... So good. I never leave reviews but this place is so good. My husband and I have been here several times and it has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The food is so flavorful, fresh, and authentic! My favorite are the fajitas and their tortillas. I would say it rivals Ninfa’s / El Tiempo! Most recently I was there for a company-sponsored dinner with my team, most of them are from out of state. When they asked for suggestions for great Mexican food in the area, Ambriza immediately came to mind. Everyone loved their food and was glad to be able to try authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was excellent, from our waitress to the manager, everyone treated us really well. Our waitress Esleidy did a great job making sure everything turned out great, and they even threw in some elote on the house for us to try — which was so good! The restaurant /building itself is also really nice, with a fun atmosphere. 5 stars all around!😊

We love this place. I can't say enough about how amazing the food is and how great the service and atmosphere are. Our first visit when the staff found out we hadn't been there before they brought us complimentary elote and we knew we'd found a great spot. I hadn't tried elote before and I was blown away by the taste. Since then we've been back several times and they never disappoint. I've tried several of their entrées and my wife's and they have all been excellent. Most recently we went for my wife's birthday and I tried the pescado tacos and I cant remember the last time I enjoyed fish that much. If you're in the area, definitely give them a try. Carla was our server and she has the best customer service as well as very knowledgeable about every item on the menu. Jesus came to check on us several times with his amazing personality. Rodrigo Also came over to check on us and he was kind as well. The drinks were so good. S/O to the bartender! I had the chicken fajita and it was delicious. Overall I give it a 10/10 plus 10 more. Clean atmosphere, amazing customer service, delicious authentic food, clean restrooms, great drinks and prices. We definitely will be back!

Let me start with the food being absolutly delicious. The service was top tier. There were 8 people in my party. The accidentally forgot my aunts food. They not only comped her meal, they gave us all free dessert and drinks. Luis and Rodrigo were absolutly wonderful. The customer service alone made this a great experience.

Amazing service even if they are busy. This was my first time here. Ordered a cup of Caldo Azteca (chicken soup). I received vegetable soup ( check for chicken, I didn't get any). I then ordered the grilled fish tacos. The tacos were the best I have had in the grater Houston area. The sauce was unbelievably good. Must ask for Perla for service. I will be back.

Arrived on a busy Saturday evening and was thoroughly impressed with the impeccable service from Sebastian and the rest of the bar staff! I had been wanting to try Ambriza for a while. Im glad I did. The chicken enchilada in red sauce was excellent as well as the kind service my family and I received. Very vibrant atmosphere. Cute place for date night but also a nice place to meet up with family. Look forward to visiting again and trying something new from the menu.

I went their for the first time last night and had the most amazing time! The service was great and both of the managers were so kind and made sure that we were having an amazing and memorable experience. I had the sangria and it was fabulous, it was fruity and not too bitter. I also tried their Cucumber Serrano margarita….wow. I typically don’t like margaritas, because they typically taste like cheap tequila and fake lime but this was one of the best, if not the best margarita I’ve had. It was light and refreshing. You can tell they use fresh quality ingredients. My friend got the frozen mango margarita and she also said hers was great. I got the chicken fajitas and they were fantastic, plenty of food for one person. It came with guac, rice, beans, tortillas, sour cream, and veggies. I wish I had room for dessert because I’m sure it would have been amazing. I can’t wait to go back! This is a great spot to have dinner or go out and get drinks!

I tried to make a last minute reservation at Ambriza to catch up with a friend while I was in town and while it was Mother’s Day weekend with a healthy crowd we arrived waited about 15 minutes and were seated. The food was reasonably priced but wasn’t as seasoned as I expected.

Awesome food and great ambience ! Only issue was the guy who came to take pictures and came up with pics and asked for $20 per pic :), would have been easier if he told how much it costed before taking pics. To my surprise when the guy did not send me the promised digital copies and I approached the manager of the restaurant to check his whereabouts, though trying to be polite, she mentioned that the photographer’s company had nothing to do with the restaurant… there was no disclaimer about it anywhere !! That’s why I gave 1 star less than 5. But food was awesome 🤩

I’m quite particular about my Mexican food, and this restaurant is one of my favorites. I’ve enjoyed every dish I’ve ordered here. My only complaint is that sometimes the servers take a bit long to check back on you. Overall, though, I really like this place.

Food is great! Tastes authentic. Atmosphere is a 4 because it is always warm in the restaurant. Never really get cooled off, even with their delicious margaritas. All ages agree.

The restaurant is located in the heart of LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch—a lively spot with great vibes, an inviting atmosphere, and truly excellent service. I visited for a business lunch around 11:30 a.m. on a weekday. It wasn’t busy yet, so we were seated right away. We ordered their famous street corn, fajitas, and a to-go chicken quesadilla with an additional side of Mexican rice. While the service was wonderful and the food appeared fresh, the overall quality was mediocre. The rice, beans, and corn were served at room temperature, and the rice was noticeably too salty. The street corn, which I had high expectations for, was also served cold—making it quite underwhelming and, honestly, overrated. One nice touch, however, was that the restaurant provided us with complimentary wellness shots, which were refreshing and definitely worth it. In summary, it’s a beautiful and energetic location with top-notch service, but the food could use improvement to match the atmosphere and hospitality.

After seeing the many videos on different platforms we wanted to see for ourselves. The drinks were great especially for $4. The food was a no all the way around. The kids meal even disappointed. Everything was lacking flavor or had way to much salt on it. The meat was over cooked. I am not sure if it was a bad day but Sunday brunch is never a good time to have a bad food day. Otherwise staff was very nice and attentive. So all in all it was one of those live and learn times.

I went to Ambrizia for Valentine's to spend some time with my partner. I had a very odd time. I’ve been there a couple of times but this time was just very frustrating. I have worked in the restaurant business in the past for many years. I have worked in busy cities such as NYC, Miami, ft. lauderdale. Many high, mid, and low-level restaurants. I have also traveled a decent amount around the world and have experienced different service styles. There’s just one thing that really bugs me when it comes to the service world. I’m not sure if the expectations have diminished and standards are just not being upheld. When you choose to go to a restaurant and spend time with friends and/or family, you do so to get out of your routine. Have some nice drinks, food, and great conversations. You typically start with drinks and an appetizer. Now the timing is extremely important here. As a former server, when an appetizer lands on the table(whether hot or cold) the timing for you to put the order for the entree is imperative. It’s extremely uncomfortable to put in the order of the entrée when the appetizer has just landed, not every table can be served the same. You have to judge the mood of the client. As soon as the appetizer lands keep an eye on the table and see how fast or slow they are moving. Time the entree, when the appetizer is halfway or almost done(depending on how long the entree takes to make, which should be the responsibility of the server to know) place the order in for the kitchen to start. It’s okay to give people some time to digest the appetizer and finish their drinks. You do not have to rush the entrée to the table that has an appetizer not even halfway done. Also, use this time to upsell more drinks! Clean the table and make it ready for the entree!. Serving is more than just dumping plates on a table, which makes the customer feel rushed, like you want them to get out when the whole reason they went to the restaurant is to be out! And do something different! Now the table looks ugly filled with plates, as a guest you’re having to move plates around unnecessarily if only the server times everything correctly. It’s really not that difficult, on top of rearranging plates we still didn't finish our appetizer. Now we have to rush our appetizer (not enjoying it anymore) filling our stomach and jump quickly to our entree with a rushed filled belly, before it gets cold. At the end of the meal as your guest if they want their food boxed. If they are okay with doing it themselves, be attentive and serve as much as you can. Your job title literally means just that! If you do not like it, don’t do it. There’re Plenty of people unemployed who can do a much better job. Don’t expect a tip if you didn’t work for it. A tip is a gesture of gratitude for the service the specific server has provided! Don’t get mad when you don’t get one. I’m not sure if perhaps management is not training these employees properly but it was just such a shame and a terrible experience. I will never understand why people have a job they do not care for, complain about not making money, when in any job you do, you have to own the brand. You are a brand, sell yourself. I don’t go to the Dollar Tree and expect Publix, or whole foods style of service. If you’re a server be a server and do what you signed up for and agreed to on the job requirements, when applying for the job.

Ambriza was a solid spot overall. We started with two large flavored margaritas and they were excellent, definitely the highlight and highly recommended. The beef empanadas were the best thing we ate, super tasty. For the main course we had the roasted chicken tacos and they were good, no complaints. Service was good too (shoutout to Crystal). Only thing they need to improve: our table was sticky, so the cleaning/detailing could be better. Would still go back for the drinks and empanadas.

For the price point the food is disappointing. Enjoyed the staff super friendly and the drinks were good! However I ordered the tacos and and the Queso Horneado they both came with flour tortillas and were very undercooked. The Queso Horneado was also very greasy. I’ve been here a few times over the years and tried various menu options. I was never once “wow’d” with their food. Everything pretty much is lacking in flavor. Notice the tostada that they advertised as their special that day. The sloppy cuts on the red onion and the size over powered the dish. All you could taste was red onion and cilantro. There was no sauce except the guacamole that needed seasoning. Salt and other spices. It was plain avocado with no Jalepeno in it. Sad. The fried shrimp had a nice crisp but tasted plain. We sent the queso fondido back, as I suspected by the time it got to the table it was not even scoop-able. It was already hardening into rubbery cheese despite being on a hot skillet. The server tried to sell it to us as if it was a queso you would get at a tex-mex restaurant but I knew better. The kids meals have a nice variety but even my kids said they did not like the taste or lack their of in their food. Ultimately the manager came over. Not at our request. She offered to comp our meal. Did she in the end? No. That’s fine, I expected to pay for what I ordered. Will we be back? Absolutely not. We actually ended up leaving and eating some where else. If you want a fun vibe and just alcoholic drinks that are a bit over priced then this is an excellent spot but I would not come here to eat.

After shopping around yesterday evening, I was so exited to try it out since the reviews seemed good. Unfortunately we did not make it pass the seating. As soon as i walked in I felt the unwelcoming from the lady that was going to seat us. It was me and my husband and my 2 lovely children(under the age of 2yrs). I say that because she just looked at us up and down and told us to hold on. She said it a few times while we just stood there. my confusion was why was she was making us wait when it wasn’t even busy. Apparently she did not want to sit us where everyone else was( I heard her make a comment) and tried sitting me at the high bar tables… yet again I’m with 2 babies I respectfully answered how where my babies going to eat on the high chairs provided with those tables being so tall, not leveling to the high chairs. Yet again she asked me to hold on.. this was my it point so some one else came over and told us they would seat us at a corner and I just tought that was so discriminating toward my children or our race I’m not sure what it was. But clearly they had an issue. I cannot condone or support this type of behavior so i just had to turn around and leave! We live in some sad days with people treating others like this… definitely not ok especially with holidays coming up. POOR SERVICE

The cuts now taste chewy and low quality, which is surprising given how premium this restaurant positions itself and how much they charge. For a place in this price range, the meat should be a standout, not the weakest part of the meal. It’s disappointing because the setting and service still have a lot of potential. I truly hope management takes feedback like this seriously and improves ingredient quality so the food once again matches the ambiance and cost. I called the restaurant to speak to the owner or the chef to give my feedback, but they told me he is too busy and hung up

The fajitas arrived in an unusual bowl with onions and meat piled on top, including ribs. It felt like the meat was being portioned out rather than served generously, and nothing was brought out on a sizzling plate, which was disappointing. While the flavor of the food was fine, for the $33 price point I felt I could have gone to Pappasito’s or Gringo’s and had a better overall experience—Tex-Mex or not. We were also served corn seasoned with paprika, which was nothing memorable and overly tangy/sour. Although the waitress and manager were nice, the food did not meet expectations, and I would not return.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service we received during our recent visit on 2/11. While the food and drinks were good, the experience was completely overshadowed by how we were treated by our waiter, Roberto. At one point, Roberto approached me as I was coming out of the bathroom and immediately asked me to pay while standing in the hallway. He did not show me the itemized check and instead told me to just tap my card. When we asked whether gratuity was already included, he denied it — even though it was. As a result, our group ended up leaving more than enough in tips. To make matters worse, none of us were provided with copies of our receipts. After several people had already paid, we were still ordering drinks and food and continuing to enjoy our time. We originally had a party of 20, and about 10 of us remained. Roberto then told us we needed to consolidate from three tables into two because we were in his section and he wanted to seat other guests. About 10 minutes later — while people were still drinking and ordering — he told us we needed to hurry up and leave because he needed the tables, he stated that there was a party of 14 people and the manager was supposedly pressuring him about us leaving because he wanted to sit the guests in his section. Three of us moved to the bar, but there wasn’t enough space for everyone else, so the rest of our group had to leave. We felt rushed out despite continuing to spend money and enjoy ourselves. The food and drinks were great, but the service was unacceptable. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated, we will not be returning.

I made a reservations weeks in advance for a party of 9 people to celebrate Galentine's; only to get a phone call from a staff member THE NIGHT BEFORE MY RESERVATION to tell me that they're closing the restaurant early at 3pm because of the Super Bowl and they can't honor my reservation at 6:30pm. I called the restaurant to get clarification about this. I requested to speak to a manager. I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes and no one came to the phone. I hung up and called again, asked for a manager again and only then did the GM Carlota speak to me. She addressed me by name, which makes me think that they left me on hold for so long hoping that I would just hang up and not call again. While speaking to the manager, nothing sounded genuine, it was a whole bunch of empty apologies and blame towards their corporate systems. She tried to get me set up at their rooftop for their "Super Bowl watch party". That was not what I had made a reservation for. I wanted to nice restaurant vibe to spend and celebrate Galentine's Day, not a rowdy rooftop watch party. All this just showed me that they have a serious lack of communication, unprofessionalism and no respect for their customers. Had they called me a few days in advance to let me know about the early restaurant closure and give me plenty of time to find an alternative, they chose to only notify me the night before. It was such a fiasco trying to find a new location that could accommodate such a big party on such short notice. Needless to say, I won't be going to any of their restaurants.
