Mexican food buffet style. Menudo was really good, seasoned well, fajitas were soft , enchiladas were delish with lots of cheese and Chile con carne.
Great breakfast selection.friendly staff have only eaten breakfest. Lunch and dinner menu looks good. Parking lot always full.
Good food and friendly service. All you can eat buffet is great!!!!
So sad. I didn't get to try their buffet breakfast or dinner. If the food was as good as the breakfast i ordered the one time we visited. Whew I missed out
A Kerrville favorite. Daily lunch buffet with menu selections available. Great place for breakfast and lunch. Sunday buffet is really special.
Great food, service is great but slow due to so many folks love eating there great family and community gathering place.
One of my favorite places to eat My son and his friend took me to eat there for my birthday June the 1st I got an amazing huge Chicken taco salad it was beautiful I should it took a picture of it but I was so hungry I ate it next time
Wow.. just WOW! My new absolute favorite restaurant in Kerrville. Foid and service are ahhhmazing and prices are very reasonable. Portions are great... Try The Texan breakfast with a side of pico 😎
A nice place to eat with a buffet that includes a drink and dessert for a great price. And the food has always been great
Their sour cream enchiladas are excellent, rice and beans are👌too! Our son loves their chicken strips. And if you parent a picky eater that's saying a lot!
Amazing food and staff. Cute little hole in the wall but don't forget they have Mexican food that's PHENOMENAL 😉
It was wonderful! We're from out of town & were looking for some great, authentic mexican food. Plain, simple family environment with nice people & good food! Thanks for the craving fix!
We came here on a Sunday after church for lunch. Salad bar was wonderful and the soup excellent! Service was excellent as well! We will definitely be back.
Great food and great service. Friendly folks eating there, our age group. Will have to go back for the buffet some time soon.
This is one of our favorite places to go when we visit our family in Kerrville. All the food is tasty and reasonably priced.
Went there for breakfast because of the reviews and was not disappointed! Great service and great food.
Great place, always very happy. Good food, good service, and great price
We always have a tasty meal when we visit here. The roast beef was very good. It was dipped in au jus. Good price for a full meal. Dessert is included.
The Spanish omelet is the best I've ever had. It's not hot unless you put salsa on it. But the peppers, tomatoes, onions and cheese are cooked perfectly.
Had a buffet chicken, roast beef and ham etc. Food fresh and plentiful. Staff very courteous. Comfortable setting old fashioned Cafe style.
The best food no matter how many times I come here I'm never disappointed. Family owned I love supporting small business in Kerrville.
As always the lunch was awesome. The wait staff is so polite and efficient. The resturant is clean and comfortable. Del norte is the best mexican food resturant in the hill country.
I went there a few days ago and I was So Very Happily surprised that is was SO MUCH BETTER than it was a few years ago. I went on WEDNESDAY and the Mexican food was So Fantastic at the buffet 🥰💚🙏🤣
Our favourite breakfast; The Texan, eggs, enchiladas, and refried beans, good service in a friedly, family atmosphere. They also have a great buffet.
Great buffet, home cooking that changes daily. It was like a visit to my grandmother's kitchen! Salad bar had carrot rasin, pea, pasta, and ambrosia salads in addition to lettuce and trimmings! Got to choose from beef tips or baked chicken with a variety of veggies and deserts. We just found this place, but will be back as soon!
Had the sour cream chicken enchiladas for dinner this evening and they were delicious as well as the rice and beans. My mother had the beef fajita taco salad and it was huge. She said it was very good and veggies were fresh.
Nice suprise. Cute restaurant. Clean with great service. Looks like the locals love this place. Next time we are in town we will definitely return. Good people. We had the club sandwich.
A Kerrville tradition since forever. Our favorite place for breakfast. Friendly service, great food and prices, nice traditional atmosphere. It's where we bring out of town guests for a real Hill Country experience.
My Sweetie had the El Grande Burrito and I had the Beef Fajitas, both dishes were very good and the size of the dishes for the price was large enough to bring plenty of leftovers back to our hotel for later snackin. I definitely give a five star
Luv this place. Really good food and service, the breakfast is my favorite. But all around really good food. Luv that old cafe style feel, been going there for 40 years.
Fabulous food, attentive service, great prices! I got a Mexican breakfast - migas - and my husband got an American breakfast - omelette with pancake. They knocked it out of the park on both counts. Coffee is adequate.
If you are looking for Hill Country atmosphere, friendly service and great food Del Norte Restaurant has a great selection of home cooking and Mexican food. The staff are attentive and friendly. The cost is affordable.
This restaurant is really good to eat at. The atmosphere is friendly and the wait staff are very nice and friendly. They have daily buffets and the food is delicious. I would recommend it to anyone.
Delicious Food and Great Atmosphere! Amazing Breakfast Buffet! Great Service always! Del Norte is my go to for pork chops! Salad is always fresh!
This was our first time their and The food was great, good price was good, service was excellent, good sweet tea, great coffee, my wife had the chicken fried chicken she loved it, the fajitas were awesome. Will definitely be back worth the every penny
This is one of my favorite restrauntes in Kerrville. The food has been very good every time I've eaten there or ordered out. The employees are very nice and always upbeat and friendly the times I've gone. Definitely recommend
I have been coming to Del Norte for years. Their breakfasts are your regular coffee shop fare plus a couple of tex-mex offerings. There is a buffet, I believe, every day of the week. Wednesdays which are Mexican and Fridays which are Catfish, are always packed. The best time to get there is just before 11:00. After that you may be parking way in the back. The food is excellent and very fresh! The wait staff is always nice. Again, their menu items are coffee shop offerings, but if you are hungry or not Wednesday and Friday have a fresh and delishous buffet
The food at Del Norte Restaurant was amazing. Everything was perfectly seasoned and warm. The atmosphere was enjoyable and the staff was conscientious in taking care of our needs. I will surely return to this restaurant when I come back to Kerrville TX.
Food is really good. Fresh fruit was perfectly ripe. Salsa was really good with just enough kick. The wait staff is absolutely amazing. Normally when you go to a restaurant you have to ask for a refill or they ask you if you want a refill. How about just filling my cup and don't ask me. This place does exactly that. Kept my coffee full and even asked me if I wanted water. Kept our table clean, paid just enough attention to us. The place is very clean and even the cashier was pleasant when we came in and out. 10 stars!!!!
Amazing little spot! If you haven’t eaten here you are missing out, I highly recommend the buffet. Everything I’ve tried here has been really good. The service has always been top notch also, especially Arnie; his energy and humor are awesome, he’s is a diamond in the rough, an asset for sure!
Great cozy restaurants where local eat. Good service, good food and daily buffet. Overall it a good home locally owned restaurant.
We have breakfast here almost every Saturday and have pretty much become regulars. The staff is amazing and always make us feel welcome, and we usually even sit at the same table in the corner. We love Del Norte!
We went by a different Mexican food restaurant but it was packed, so we found Del Norte. There were not many patrons, so we worried, "is it any good"? I had cheese enchiladas and my friend had fajitas. It is the best Mexican food we've ever had, and we are older than 50. Highly recommend this jewel!!
This restaurant has the best variety of Mex & U.S. food, buffet style & menu. Food is DELICIOUS!! I CAN'T OVER STATE THIS FACT; DELICIOUS! Been in Kerrville 3 years. I first started going to Rio Ranch in Ingram, until a friend asked me to try Del Norte. Beats the other place hands down. Now I don't have to go out of my way. DEL NORTE....😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Visited from out of town. Saw it had good reviews and decided to give it a try. We are glad we did. Excellent food and service. It was hot and fresh and tasted great. It was very reasonably priced too.
My only regret is no dinning in..we ordered food to go, and whn we ate it we all wanted to drive back.. definitely going back. Loved it.
Mom and I had breakfast there yesterday(10/13/25) and went again today.. I had lunch,*sour cream chicken enchiladas* mom had breakfast, 2 eggs, grits or hash browns and choice of meat, price includes coffee and juice.. Service is great, food came out very fast both days and very hot/fresh. Prices are good and restaurant is clean, nice atmosphere for visiting as well.
A local eatery but well worth a visit if you're in Kerrville. They have a daily breakfast buffet that switches to lunch buffet at around 10:30. Great salad bar for both. Menu items all good, too. They have hashbrowns. Real, honest to goodness hashbrowns. The breakfast or lunch steak has such a delicious seasoning and flavor. You cannot beat the price, either.
Very attractive to each patrons needs and tastes. Family atmosphere. Many seniors eat here for a reason. Service and Respect.
Food is excellent, they know how to make crispy bacon perfectly (just ask) and the service is always wonderful. Prices are low compared to other places that are similar
This is the best little breakfast spot! They have great lunch, too, and the buffet is always a great option for both. I've been eating here as long as I've been coming to Kerrville. Don't miss out!
Been the family go to for 13 yrs. The owner and staff are like family, You get breakfast till 2, and there's a little bit of everything to pick from on thy menu. Buffet Tuesday thru Sunday.. plus, best tea. Clean and friendly and good...
This is not a fancy place but the food is always good, hot, fresh and hand made. The restaurant is always very clean. The service is always good. The prices are reasonable and well what more could you ask for? Personal favorites are the sour cream enchiladas, the jalapeno enchiladas, fresh chips and salsa, chicken fried steak, chicken strips, fried shrimp and the onion rings. The menu has enough variety but not overwhelming.
If you want a good breakfast are good lunch you must go to the Del Norte restaurant me and a couple friends had breakfast there the service was quick the breakfast was great and the price amazing I will be going back again and probably again give a try if your breakfast person lunch person or dinner person just dropped in you'll be ready for you
We’ve been here before for breakfast and it is great. This time we had lunch. So good. We’ll be back.
They are always friendly. The food is pretty good as well. It's your typical mom and pop mexican restaurant in a small town.
Great food and service but not much of a selection on the buffet.
Great service and good small town food options. Buffet is a solid option if you are interested and hungry.
Always hot and fresh food. Fast and friendly service most of the time. Great place to eat for whole family. Buffet breakfast on weekends are the best.
Good food at reasonable prices. Service is okay. Lunch buffet is excellent. Can't beat the old fashioned for breakfast.
Food is good, staff is friendly The kitchen needs to be cleaned up in some areas along with food that needs to be wiped up that I spotted on the restaurant walls/paintings
We tried to make the breakfast buffet , the server informed us there was only 5 minutes left until they put out the lunch buffet ! He allowed us to wait and served us drinks ! The selection was good and all the food was excellent, you could choose between ham or roast beef , I chose the roast beef and went back for more !! The atmosphere is great along with the prices and service !!! Had a great time with my family, will definitely be visiting again when in town !!!
Always a good resturant to go to in Kerrville. Good food, good service, and a great staff. You will get your money's worth. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner it's worth the stop.
I love Del Norte for its Budget meal on Sunday lunch with roast beef and ham carved off the joint whilst you wait. The vegetables are mostly fresh and taste great. I recommend Del Norte also because the prices are.reasonable at the side of other restaurant in Kerrvillle.
Best and most reliable food in Kerrville. Daily buffet with a different features every day. Very nice menu items with lots of variety. (The picture only shows part of the buffet, you can't see the salad, soup or dessert sections). Don't expect big city gourmet and you should be satisfied. Remember, your in Kerrville!
Wonderful service, the owners seem like really grear people (don't know them personally, met them twice while dining.) Food was good, salad bar very good. Very good dessert selection, what I have tried is very good.
This place has plenty of seating, but it is a little crowded with furniture. We were seated quickly, even though we arrived 35min before closing on a Sunday afternoon (they close at 2pm, which is sorta early closing for church-goers). Upon receiving our menus, we were told that Breakfast and Lunch were both available, which was a plus. When we viewed the Buffet we noticed a decent, basic Salad Bar, as well as several vegetables, a breaded animal protein (but it was hard to tell if it was fish filets or thin chicken breasts), and a sliced-to-order glazed ham. Since the Buffet price was $15.99, we all decided to order from the menu. Our server, Felipe, was very pleasant and our order came fairly quickly. The food was very good, and the hot food was definitely HOT when delivered to the table. Their tomatillo sauce (on Verdes Enchiladas) is delicious. The "guacamole" was simply mashed avocado.
The first Mexican all-you-can-eat buffet I have ever enjoyed. Great salad bar (fresh), hot fajitas and enchiladas, and good deserts. Be sure to ask for the green (hotter) salsa that has a great background heat. The carrot salad was awesome and makes a great desert as well.
The food was good. The tortillas are homemade. Everyone at the table was satisfied with their meal. Service was prompt and friendly. They did by have a buffet but we opted out, the fruit looked dull and old.
Nice restaurant that serves a decent breakfast buffet ($14.99). You get your regular buffet staples such as scrambled eggs (2 types), bacon, sausage patties, ham slices, toast, biscuits, and pancakes. Gravy is the white kind that comes in powdered form. They have a decent selection of fruit. Highlights are the glazed strawberries, cantalope, and honey dew. All cut into bite sized portions. Menudo is very good. Very tender and cut into bite sized pieces. This place caters to the older crowd (bite sized portions), so if you want something full of flavour or grease go somewhere else if you can find such a place. For myself it is fine. A tip: do not get the chocolate milk. It is 2% milk with syrup mixed in. The one I got wasn't even mixed well. Service was excellent, they were prompt and attentive. The place is popular no doubt, when I went there it was a capacity with many people going in and out of the place. You would not go wrong here going for breakfast.
This is a great place for breakfast! We came on Sunday and there was a buffet (pictured below) the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I like my bacon a little more tender not so crispy but the menudo was so so good. The cheese eggs were great and they even have biscuits and gravy. The fruit was so fresh I’d come again
Had breakfast with a friend. He asked—as I learned he does at all Tex-Mex places—whether they make their own corn tortillas. (They do.) Food was good enough. Environment was just ok. Service good.
Despite the name, Mexican food is not the best part of this restaurant. I went here for a late breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the few customers. It is a seat-yourself dining room, but the tables are close together. There were only a few diners when I arrived, but soon there were several tables close to mine that filled up with friendly, talkative people, much like myself, but the tables were so close it was hard to stay focused on my conversation. I ordered migas with beans and two flour tortillas. The coffee was standard diner-type coffee with non-dairy creamer. The young server was competent and friendly and took my order promptly. When my meal arrived, I was disappointed to find a blob of egg colored food, a blob of refried beans, and two sad, over-cooked, dried out sausage slices. The server asked if I wanted salsa, which I did. The flour tortillas were soft and chewy. The salsa came in a little plastic cup and was okay. Migas are supposed to be eggs scrambled into fried corn tortillas with sauted onions and peppers. I could not detect any corn tortillas in the migas. I will not get this again. However, there were many other tables full of people who enjoyed their food. As I was leaving, more people started arriving for lunch and they all looked like happy, repeat customers. I'll try their standard foods next time, because the prices seemed reasonable and others obviously enjoyed them.
Have eaten here twice. Wait staff is excellent, clean restaurant. Only complaint is my husband had a burrito, flavorful, but swimming in grease, my French fries were oozing as well.
Staff is nice. My 1st time eating here. Not much selection for a Sunday buffet at noon when I went, all the deserts that should be cold are warm. Not worth $15 per person. Only my opinion.
Service was great, food was average but not exceptional. Restaurant serves larger variety of dishes than just Mexican, but we went there for Mexican so that wasn't a big deal to us. They DON'T HAVE A LIQUOR LICENSE. Nothing better than a few cold beers and a plate of enchiladas, but no beer. Had i known that, would have went somewhere else. Otherwise food is filling, tastes ok, and reasonably priced.
Our server was great but the food was so-so. My breakfast sausage had a really awful texture to it and didn't taste all that great. I got the impression the food was brought in already prepared and frozen. Seemed to be a very popular spot. Maybe my experience was a fluke.
The people were nice. The food was okay. I had 2 pancakes, but the syrup wasn't real maple, and didn't have the best flavor. I don't mean to sound picky, they were just.. okay.. nothing special.
Great service, but a lot of the buffet food was held at an unsafe temperature. I got food poisoning right after eating here, so the food (mainly the salad dressings, a Time-Tempurature Control Safety food) must have been held at the unsafe temperature for quite a while. Not to mention that the tuna was gross.
If You Like Eggs Benedict this is not the place to go, albeit the Sauce was good but the Poached Eggs were well done. Service was Good. A Typical Sausage and Egg Breakfast for the Man in the house did not Satisfy, as the eggs (2) were quite small as were the Sausage Patties. Upon leaving we noticed a 4% service charge added to All Debit as Well as Credit Cards..As I see it everything is going up but add a Service Charge to Debit as Well as Credit Cards, The wait staff will suffer Your 10% goes to 6, and so on Just my Point of View ...Put this info On Your Front Door not when People go to Check Out, so many ATMS In the Area..
Tortilla soup was not served hot. It was very basic and felt more like canned veg-all with some shredded chicken added. The wait staff was friendly. The buffet may have been a better choice.
It was alright but I dont understand how this place got a 4.4 review rating and el bracero de jalisco has a 3.9 review rating even tho they are not consistent they still taste better than del norte
First time their....never again....had the buffet...mash potatoes are from a box...sauceberry steak frozen ...are yiu guys serious.....im a chef in san antonio and always looking for great places to send people......this is not one of them....sorry guys my expectation for great food is very very hi.......nothing personal.......ty....chefaibarra...san antonio texas....
Worst "fajitas" I have had in my lifetime. I ordered one steak and one chicken. 1st off, it is very very difficult to mess up fajitas. The atmosphere and service demand and deserve $$ all day long. The actual quality of food the cooks are being asked to prepare is what is below average. Also, store bought hard flour Tortillas at a Mexican restaurant should be a red flag. 2 fajitas no rice no beans and a glass of water = almost $11. One and done.
We were there last Friday evening. We've been coming up to Kerrville once a week for deer season and we've yet to find a somewhat descent restaurant. We usually like to have Mexican food on Fridays so that we can enjoy a beer or Margarita with our meal. We were disappointed that they don't serve Beer/alcohol. That's ok, but the food AND service was horrible. The waitress couldn't remember our order even after writing it down. My husband had a WAY over priced DRY Ribeye steak, his salad was lettuce and tomatoes ONLY and the waitress brought him the wrong salad dressing 3 times (twice she brought the same one!) I ordered a hamburger and the meat was a precooked burger that had been microwaved!!! The fries were cold and stale!! We don't like to complain or send our food back at all, we just simply don't return and we make sure to review the venue!! Needless to say, I was sick to my stomach and barely made it out of the restaurant and into a Valero Corner Store to puke!!! I was sick the entire night that we were unable to stay at the ranch and had to rent a hotel!! The waitress was slow, rude and who wet think was the owner/manager was at the register and never took his eyes off his phone to check to see if everything was ok...didn't even bother to ask how our meal was!! Never again. I hope my review is helpful to those looking for a good place to eat.
The waiter was dedicated and did a good job. That’s it. Not bashing cause if good I’ll leave a comment. The buffet was… sloppy beans and rice with just… they have definitely given up cause the 4.4 stars lol, no way: Steer clear of Del Norte, you’ll need a mint to get the taste out your mouth. My wife shares the same ideas, poor waiter.
Went to the breakfast buffet where the food has obviously been sitting out for a while. Everything was dry and crunchy, including my pancakes and biscuits. Service left something to be desired. Our server carried on with several tables, while I was sitting with an empty glass. To add insult to injury, they charge an extra 4% to use a debit or credit card. Poor experience all around.
We are not locals, but seened busy for Saturday breakfast. We were encouraged to do the buffet and were not told it did not include all drinks. Then we were charged adult prices for two kids ages 11 and 9. 9 is an adult the cashier said. Food was okay....standard breakfast. Just felt hussled.
I was hoping for a nice dining experience. Instead I got very lazy service. Our server was slightly rude and acted as if it were an imposition to wait on us. My mother had the buffet and I ordered a meal. I asked for a to go box for my meal and she replied that we couldn't take any of the buffet food home. I told her it was god my food and she said let me wrap it up for you in the back. I told her I would prefer to package it myself (I don't like to have my food handled if I can avoid it.). She rolled her eyes and brought me a small box. It wouldn't even fit my meal. I tried a few times, but I had 1 taco and a side of refried beans. I had to ask for the larger box and she said she would package it for me in the back. I told her again id prefer to do it myself and she looked it me like I was crazy and eventually brought me the box. It was just a bad service experience and the food was something I could easily make just as well at home. Unfortunately I was disappointed
Always love their breakfast!! So we tried their lunch the other day . Looked great and most was except the main dish which was baked chicken. Super dry but the rest was worth it . We have a 13 month old that was getting very fussy and restless . Needless to say we had to get out of there. My 6 year old on the other hand wasnt able to eat his piece of cake offered on the buffet because of the baby . They refused to let him have it. He got in the car and cried . I went back in there and asked kindly if they could please grant an exception on vetting his cake in a to go box . They were not happy about it but said yes . I stood there for 5 minutes and the guy disappeared. I've been in the restaurant business majority of my life and never would I write an ugly review on a local business if it wasnt well deserved. Kindness goes a long ways and we will not be back simply because of the point of it. This being my first ever review I will just say extremely disappointed not only was the main course dry and rubbery the management was less than not accommodating. On another note I realize buffets are only in house but come on my kids was in tears .
Order jalapeño poppers they were frozen and placed iced cold head of lettuce also got Verde chicken enchiladas ( minus) chicken also cold . SmH
I give you overall a 1 star review. I enjoy the food, the device is good, and the overall atmosphere is what one should expect from a dinner style restaurant. Three over a 1 star is due to you charging me to use my credit card to eat at your establishment. You are making your customers pay for your business expenses. There is A cost of doing business. Today the cost is my business. I'm not paying for your tax write off.
