Service and food were outstanding. We ordered bruschetta and a cobb salad for appetizers which were 1/2 off for the Happy Hour Menu; we also enjoyed the 10 oz New York Strip with delicious asparagus and outstanding potatoes, and the whole yellow tail snapper deliciously seasoned along with a blend of tomatoes and greens. Both indoor and covered outdoor seating available as is an extensive breakfast menu.
We had a late lunch/brunch on a breezy weekday afternoon at the tail end of the lunch hour. We ordered two of the daily specials. I ordered a shrimp and grits (with avocado and sausage). My wife ordered crab/bacon eggs Benedict. Both were mildly flavored and very tasty. My wife also ordered the cranberry boysenberry mimosa. It came completely filled to the rim. We ate outside on the covered porch.
Sarabeth’s has a secret weapon! Is it their amazing Lobster Spinach Omelette, possibly. Is it their delicious Lemon Ricotta Pancakes or the Crab Avocado Bacon Benedict platter? Perhaps it could be the to die for Strawberry shortcake that will make your mouth water. The actual secret weapon is their spectacular customer service, BINGO! Our server for our breakfast today was “Brad.” Brad welcomed us like we were family as soon as we walked in the door. We were shown the menus for both food and beverages, and while we waited fresh, ice cold water was served. Brad inquired if anyone had dietary restrictions or needed to be aware of any allergies. Brad gave us a run down on the specials, and particularly awesome menu items. We truly were in absolute heaven by his professionalism, friendliness and hospitality. The entire staff was impressive. In addition their restrooms were clean, and fully stocked. The restaurant is nestled into a gorgeous corner lot, with ample street parking as well as scooter/bike availability. If you need a lovely, quiet and relaxing breakfast, lunch or dinner please visit Sarabeth’s Key West. (P.S. ask to be seated in Brad section, you’re welcome). Enjoy!
What amazing food! Came here for the Keylime pie, but really enjoyed the lobster BLT on whole grain bread. Large portion extremely tasty and amazing. The potions are big so you can two can easily share this . And the fries are very good! Better than most fries I’ve had
Amazing food and service once again! I won't come to The Keys without eating brunch here! The mimosas are soooo good! The eggs Benedict are killer! Just pick one, cuz they're all amazing. The atmosphere is so great! Don't miss the opportunity to have brunch here! We had three people recommend other places but we bypassed them to come here!
We've been wanting to go and finally got to on this trip. Sunday morning brunch time. Inside was cool, tasteful nautical. Outside patio looked shaded and inviting. The staff were delightful, chatty and funny. We were well taken care of. I had the delicious spinach and goat cheese omelet with extra crispy bacon, generous mango pineapple mimosa. They even had gluten free bread for me, for toast. Served with Sarabeth's famous strawberry peach jam. My guy had a shrimp, bacon, cheese omelet and tasty muffin and bloody mary. All great. Highly recommend.
we had a fantastic experience at sarabeth's on simonton street. the atmosphere is very casual, the staff is very friendly, welcoming and professional and the food was perfect, from apps to entrees to dessert. arriving after dark, the iphone pix don't do this stuff justice. just try it yourself, you'll love it.
One word, AMAZING!! Not only is the food amazing but the customer service is out of this world!! My husband and I loved the shrimp and grits which I think was a special. My daughters loved the pancakes and French toast. The mimosas were amazing as well. I would start name dropping but the staff are ALL awesome with energetic positive attitudes. The service was so great we came back a second time and we were yet again met with those energetic positive attitudes. Do yourself a favor and stop by this awesome establishment!
Classic patio brunch spot with great mimosas and key lime French toast!
This is hidden gem, the food and service is wonderful. The breakfasts as well as the lunches are amazing. It’s not the typical KW fried same old Duval food. The prices of every menu item is on point, I say reasonable.
amazing brunch spot! i got the smoked salmon with a bagel, cream cheese, tomato, red onion, and capers. it was phenomenal. my husband got a shrimp&bacon omelette and he loved it too. love this spot and can’t wait to come back!
Go for the best tomato soup I’ve ever had and the best burger in Key West.. I also had a beautiful salad with fresh greens and a subtle, delicious dressing. This is a charming restaurant in a restored older house. We sat outside on the generous porch, and it was lovely. We arrived close to end of the lunch shift, so they were out of some items, and service was still excellent. We’ll definitely go back for brunch and/or dinner next time we’re there.
During our Keys trip for my dad's birthday in May we stopped into Sarabeths thanks to a friend's recommendation. I got the lobster omelet and my dad got the shrimp and bacon omelet, both were delicious! We also got mimosas for the table to celebrate his birthday. PB&J, Elderflower, Key Lime, and Caramel Apple. These concoctions were made and personally served by Brad, my favorite was the PB&J but they were all delicious and creative. Definitely a must stop when in the Keys, I certainly will be back!
sat inside since it was 100 degrees outside; space by the window and area was small and quaint.. caramel espresso martini rimmed with a delicious concoction; fries were tasty and crips and spicy bacon with a maple dipping sauce unexpected. bread pudding a must. service was friendly
This was such a welcoming and relaxing place! We so enjoyed our time at Sarabeth's! My absolute favorite was the goat cheese appetizer. Let's just say that I cleaned the plate. I followed it with bacon wrapped shrimp with coconut rice. It was good, but the goat cheese was just phenomenal. My sweets had a surf and turf, including both scallops and shrimp, along with the turf part (gosh-- can't remember the cut) and finished with a beautiful apricot bread pudding.
When my wife and I are on vacation, we almost never visit the same restaurant twice, as there are too many we wish to experience. However, we made an exception on this vacation as Sarabeths was too exceptional to not re-visit. I can honestly say the food alone was reason to go back, however, it was the friendly and noteworthy service of Brad and Aaron that actually brought us back to the door! Great job and this will be a yearly stop for us!
What a little gem of a cafe. We were walking by and made the choice to try it out. I had a daily special. I chose the Grits with Shrimp, Andouille Sausage, tomatoes, and sliced Avacado. What a pure delight!! I love grits but to have them elevated to a whole new level was definitely worth experiencing. Will return for another terrific meal.
Come here for the wonderful food, wonderful! The calamari was the best I've ever had, and the dipping sauce made it even better. The shrimp and grits were a delight in my mouth. The filet was tasty and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and I loved the quiet location. Thanks Sarabeth's!
This is a small breakfast spot but was incredibly delicious and fresh. We got pancakes, key lime french toast, and an omelette. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The key lime french toast was the highlight of the breakfast. The pieces were layered with a mousse that was tart yet sweet. It was nothing like we have ever tasted before. The menu also has a variety of savory items to try as well and the service was quick and excellent. We would definitely return here.
Very friendly owner and staff. The food was really good, we had shimp with mac and cheese, and shimp/sausage poorboy sandwich. Really clean restaurants. 5 🌟 $$1/$
Brad is the best server I've had in all my trips to Key West. The key lime French toast was phenomenal and because my birthday was the day before, he brought me out a piece of apricot bread pudding and sang to me. Service was fast and he went above and beyond to make me feel like I matter in this world.
Great place to brunch or have breakfast. Went there with my family for vacation, food was tasty and staff was super kind. Good portions and lovely decoration.
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast/brunch here! Our server, Brad, made sure we were well taken care of and was overall just an absolute delight to be around. Our party of 5 all enjoyed our meals and we all left in good spirits!
The food and service were amazing. Probably the best meal we have had during our stay. We both had the specials, surf and turf eggs Benedict and blackened shrimp and cheese grits. The service was very good as well.
If we come back to Key West, this is a must go again place! Sarabeth's was delicious and the staff was so friendly and kind. I enjoyed the blue crab benedict and it was out of this world delish! We also split a spiced apple mojito that was to die for. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!
I was craving grits and took a chance that this special would be featured based on reviews. The shrimp and grits should be a menu staple. They were hands down the best cheese grits of my life. Atmosphere and service also phenomenal. Other notable menu items, the bloody Mary, the benedict and the feature margarita special.
Best restaurant in Key west! The food is delicious and the server Nic was so friendly and able to acommodate my dairy allergy. He found a way to make french toast without milk. Highly recommend this location.
Amazing food. Amazing service. You can tell there is a lot of love going in to each dish. This is a great intimate spot for dinner or brunch. Highly recommend!
Our family of 9 had a wonderful brunch here on Tuesday. The restaurant is beautiful and unique inside, the food AMAZING, and the staff so much fun (we loved you Brad!). We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Key West!
We had a party of 4 and arrived what must have been the best time possible because we have a short wait of a few minutes however in those few minutes the line went from us 4 to probably nearly 20 people. I understand the wait after having brunch there, best grits I've ever had, ever. Fresh fruit bowl on the side with my omelette. The 4 of us agreed we would eat there next time we are down there. All left happy and well fed. The place is really cute btw
I had dinner with my daughter and son-in-law at Sarabeth's while in Key West in November. We have dined here a few times before and the food remains excellent! I had the yellow tail snapper and it was perfect. My daughter had the steak special and it was very good. Their version of key lime pie was different than others be very tasty. Great service and beautiful location.
We really like this place. Small and comfortable with inside or outside seating. A short menu but the food was pretty good. We had hand-cut and breaded calamari, Thai beef tips, and fried goat cheese. Small plates are half-price during happy hour. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are a little steep but normal for Key West
Brad Long was our server. He was so funny. It was brunch and a comedy show with him as our server. I would come back to this restaurant for him alone. 10/10 service. The food was very good. The drinks were fantastic. Thank you guys so much for such a memorable Christmas brunch!
Happened into Sarabeth’s. Food was excellent and servers were fantastic. Incredible fish was “swimming eight hours ago”. Seated outdoors, so very quiet.
Wow! How have we not been here before. Fresh blueberry muffin a must. Had one of their daily specials-shrimp n grits w crab meat, sausage topped with slices of avocado and scrambled eggs! It couldn’t have been more delicious and husband had blackened shrimp over Mac n cheese. We will be back.
We enjoyed a great breakfast outside at Sarabeth’s. The food and beverage quality was very good. Great Bloody Marys. The service was great. It has a nice atmosphere. Overall, a great customer experience.
Omg, we love Brad so much! Not only does he know every detail of the menu, he is du fun and energetic! The food is amazing too!
Food was fresh and ok tasting but they really skipped on shrimps on a shrimp 🍤 tacos, we got 3 shrimps per taco. Also crab 🦀 omelette barely had any crab meat Kind of sad I expected a bit more for $30 per omelette
Great fresh food at a reasonable price. The servers are funny and very personable - they always add to the dining experience. The best dish of the night was the tuna entree. It was perfectly seared. A great crispy pickled cucumber salad came on the side with a couple of well salted wontons and ginger. It was well composed and thoughtfully put together. The only nit was that there were a little too many sesame seeds on the crust but mostly just around the parts that are mostly edge. The wasabi grits were creative and delectible. Calamari - I liked the breading but overall overcooked and slightly chewy. The dish was not oily though. The sauce on the side was very flavorful and full bodied. Beef Tips appetizer - pretty good appetizer but didn't realize they were fried - 4 came in a serving. There was a huge salad underneath - might be too big for the appetizer itself but welcome by our table for some extra greens. The dressing on the greens was top notch and had a little kick. Swordfish - nice portion but not as juicy as other swordfish on the island. I liked the greens and asparagus. Felt like a light healthy meal compared to other dinners that I had in KW. Chicken Curry - juicy chicken and very mild curry. It could use a little spice by my standard but my mother in law loved it. It was her 6th day of all seafood so a welcome reprieve to all the fish. Overall we really liked the atmosphere and fresh ingredients. We will be going back during our second week in KW!
Southern outpost of a Manhattan mainstay. This was a nice upscale location for a quick brunch (no reservations for this meal, only dinner). The steak and lobster eggs benedict was a little bland, but high quality and the table service was nice and professional. (I can't remember the last time I heard a deep wine list discussion before the order of a western omelette). I think this is 5 stars for most; their food runs a little too sweet for me. Coffee was excellent.
When we reached Key West we decided to try Sarabeth's for the breakfast. For breakfast we started with pineapple juice, orange juice and iced tea. For breakfast we ordered Veggie Omelet, Goldie Lux and Shrimp & Grits. The standout was goldie lux. The fish was perfectly cooked and it had an amazing taste. Loved each and every bite of it. Shrimp and Grits was also good in taste. The food and atmosphere of Sarabeth's is amazing and only disadvantage is that it is bit on expensive side. Rest everything is amazing with Sarabeth's.
Docked 2 stars due to service. We came here for my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious, the wait time was less than 10 mins, the atmosphere was wonderful and relaxed. The server made us uncomfortable at the end. Food was great but will not return anytime soon. The full story: Our server Brad was really nice and attentive at the start, but when we were done eating (empty plates and cups) nobody came back to ask if we wanted dessert or give us the check. We had been waiting a while when my husband went to the restroom. I had to flag Brad down and ask him for the check. He said “sure right away” with a smile, but spent the next 10 minutes running around doing odd, less urgent things (like bringing water for a dog at another table?) and just avoided eye contact. I was waiting for so long that the table next to us (who arrived, ordered and ate After we got there) got their check Before we did. Brad waited until my husband came back from the rest room, and gave him the check. I grabbed it and put my card down because, since it was his birthday it was my treat. Brad saw this. He took it away to be charged, and when came back put the receipt, my card, and pen down in front of my husband, said “thank you sir” and left. I signed and still tipped, but this whole interaction was strange and weirdly sexist. Why make it such an uncomfortable experience for me to give you my money?
We came as a group, and opinion is mixed. Some said breakfast was great, I say pass. Coffee was also not tasty. Very bitter and strong. 230.00 for 6 people.
Been coming to Key West for years and wanted try SaraBeths. Served promptly. Coffee and cream please. Decided on a ham and cheddar cheese omelette with home fries and all grain toast. Waitress brings coffee in this huge cup. No problem but I couldn’t get my finger in the hole. I ordered and repeated my order. Was served promptly. Asked for ketchup. Noticed no home fries. No butter for toast. Then noticed no waitress. Started to eat my omelette. No ham and mozzarella cheese. Still no waitress. Finally I had had enough of the omelette and the waitress finally appeared and asked if I wanted more coffee. I informed her of the deficiencies of my breakfast and she asked me if I wanted a new breakfast. No check please. A subpar $30 breakfast. I thought at least I’d get a break on my check.
Great expectations were squashed by poor service and mediocre dishes. Arrived at 10 and were seated in reasonable time by very courteous and friendly hostess--but went down after--sitting for 20min to have ordered taken--bar drinks nvr arrived and were cancelled (but not taken off bill). Food was underwhelming, shrimp salad--so bland it required significant salt and lemon to finish, chicken fried was ok but its dressing tasted metallic (weird). Seeing other reviews, I can only gather it was an off-day? But with so many other good places--prob will not give them a second shot.
Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean. I chose this place based on a tok review. My server spoke very very loudly (in a happy tone) but entire restaurant heard all the specials again, very impersonal..( patrons commented) The Mango pineapple mimosa was ok, but warm! My crabcake Benedict was cold and the bacon was undercooked and fatty. Restrooms were very clean! Maybe next time! Will try again!
There’s nothing special. It’s very overpriced and the prices aren’t listened or mentioned to you for a reason which is really annoying considering their bottles of water are priced at $13 What easily would have cost us $25-$30 at any other restaurant in town, costed us $135 lol Also as someone who’s from Louisiana…your shrimp and grits are more like a breakfast bowl. I had a spoonful of grits, two shrimps, on top a mixture of sausage and idk what else they added in that bowl but it wasn’t no Shrimp and Grits plz don’t insult us like that again.
Completely unsatisfied. Seated at 7:20 for a 7:00 reservation while watching our table sit empty. Didn't feel welcomed or warm. Over- priced; limited, odd menu; only wine/beer served. Noise level uncomfortable due to all the hard surfaces in an old building. None of our party of eight will return. Look elsewhere is my strong advice.
This place has changed a lot. It use to have a charming feel to it and offer tasty and memorable dishes. I hadn’t been in 10 years a was looking forward to visiting. I finally went back on January 2nd and encountered a very different place. Totally average. The decor is boring and black and white and food Lacking flavor.
Overall, we waited about 10 minutes for a host to show up at the check in stand. Then once we spoke to someone, we waited another 30+ minutes to be seated. They do not take reservations for brunch. By the time we were served food, we had been at the establishment over an hour. With all that being said, food was nothing special. We endured dirty water glasses, and there were greasy fingerprints on my plate. I’d go somewhere else.
