Words fall short of how incredible this little gem of a place in Kingston. Plenty of vegetarian options. The service. The location is just perfect ! Thank you for making our social event so memorable ❤️
Every dish here is full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. The seafood I ordered was incredibly fresh, and the banana pudding was absolutely delightful, easily one of the best I have ever had. Attention to detail really shines through in every bite, making this a memorable dining experience.
Beautiful and probably one of the five highest quality spots in Princeton NJ. Impeccable service and very comfortable dining.
We came to sample the $45 3-course dinner for Restaurant Week, and it did not disappoint. Great curation, starting with well-dressed fresh greens and tartness from the kiwi in the Jersey Salad, moving on to a symphony of vegetables in the Pastaless Lasagna, and ending on a very indulgent note in the Flourless Chocolate Torte. I look forward to trying out more creations from this beautiful restaurant. Complimentary valet can be hailed after dinner via text.
The pan seared octopus appetizer was outstanding. For my entree, I got the spaghetti pescatore. Honestly the dish had so much flavor, I really enjoyed it. I had always noticed this restaurant in the past while walking near the river there off route 27. I’m glad I finally tried it out! I’ll definitely be coming back. Nice local spot.
We haven't been to Eno Terra 1 week shy of 4 years (due to the negative experience last time there), but having decided to give the place another try we never regretted our decision, for this time around everything was great. The food, its choices, portions, preparation, presentation, the light and inventive desserts, very good and extensive wine list, the service, the pricing, and the spacious dining area allowing for good personal space, everything combined together to result in an excellent dining experience. For details, please refer to our pictures. Ask your server for a WiFi password. We will definitely come back again, and very soon at that.
The food is delicious, they pay attention to every detail of the dish. I ordered very fresh seafood and the banana pudding was delicious, wow, the best!
Went here for dinner a few weeks ago! Everything we ate was delicious. Loved the ambience as well! Didn’t take many pictures but some things that did make an impression were the Beet and Strawberry gazpacho, Ceviche, and Branzino!
I have passed EnoTerra many times and always wanted to try this restaurant. All I can say is that I am sorry I hadn’t tried this amazing place sooner. My wife and I went for our Anniversary dinner there and from the time we entered to the time we left we had a 5 star experience. We were seated in the main dining area. The ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasing. Our waiter introduced himself we quickly realized what a treat it was to have him as our guide through the evening. I say guide because he explained everything in detail and not one item that he suggested was less than amazing. Our food from appetizer to desserts was incredibly scrumptious. It would be hard for me to describe the dishes but something as simple as an olive that is made specifically for the restaurant to the succulent short ribs was a mouth watering delight. I said it in the beginning of this review and I will repeat it again, I am sorry it took me so long to experience this incredible restaurant. Thank you for an evening to remember EnoTerra, especially an evening celebrating our Wedding Anniversary
Free valet for all guests in a gated parking lot! That already signals “You’re in for a Fine Dining experience ” 😉. Our server, Manny, was so professional yet personable and made us feel at home. We even got to find out that his birthday was March, 20 (small talk, fun details 😂). Him along with the food runner - the way they presented the dishes and answer questions was with certified restaurateur & server excellence. Great ambience. Moderately priced for a high-end restaurant. Great wine and cocktail selection. My favorite dish was the grilled octopus; grilled salmon and the roasted sweet potato. The roasted sweet potato is included as side with some dishes; but they can serve it as a separate side dish if you ask your server.
First, hats off to our amazing server, Joe was amazing. He was very attentive to details. We started with mushrooms soup and pan seared octopus(yummy). Next, the braised short ribs..can you say tender and cooked well. The birthday girl had a pasta dish and ended with a champagne toast/dessert! The entire evening was Fine Dining
Went here for a Sat. Valentine's Day dinner. It was a prix fixe menu and all of the items in each course (4) were hard to choose from as they all sounded wonderful. But choose we did and we couldn't have been happier with our choices. The items were all fresh and cooked to perfection. Nothing was too bland nor over seasoned. Service was functional, albeit maybe a bit impersonal. But we never felt rushed or unattended. We look forward to coming back to try a regular dinner night. Definitely one of the better restaurants in the greater Princeton area.
Visited Eno Terra for restaurant week and was satisfied by the 3 course lunch that consisted of a app, entree and dessert for $25. Normally it’s priced at $35 with wine discounts. The drinks were tasty especially the expresso martini, I also tried a spicy squid inc margarita that was very interesting. Our server Jonathan did a fantastic job and made sure we had everything to make the experience smooth n enjoyable.
Good food small portions. Expensive. Great service and outside area. I revisited Eno recently and I would have to say I was quite impressed. We had sea bass and a burger along with Calamari. The Calamari was the only one I would say nothing special. However both the sea bass and burger were eceptional. I am increasing my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars.
We were there for a company dinner. It was my first time and I tend to follow the server's suggestions. I was not disappointed!!! I forgot to take photos, but I did take one of the Charcuterie Board. It is a great size for several folks. We were given a private room upstairs, I recommend it if you have a large group. FOR SURE do the desserts!
Went here on reccomendation. Fancy and elegant, nice change of pace food. I live seafood, got the squid ink pasta dish. We also got some Amazing pork chops. Dessert was a lemon 🍋 pie ice cream - highly reccomend getting it. Has a full bar when you walk in on right, left side lead to an upstairs for events maybe. Lots of wine types. Will be back again
Beautiful place inside and out, top notch service, the food is superb with beautiful presentation, long and interesting wine list (it is an enoteca too!). And the coffee is excellent! One of the best restaurants in our area! Great location - near Carnegie Lake and D&R Canal, take a short walk to the picturesque dam on Carnegie Lake after or before your visit.
If you are close, this is a MUST go! The service is excellent, lots of space between the tables for COVID friendly and THE FOOD!! For someone not familiar with the area it can be a little challenging to find but it is a GEM of a location! Highly recommend! Everything on the menu was great!
A very welcoming dining experience! The seafood pasta was delicious and fresh. Monday night is burger night and the burgers were cooked well!
Had a reservation, was seated immediately after arriving. Waitress (her name is April) was very friendly and assisted in recommending the perfect wine to pair with all of our entrees (there were four of us) My husband and I ordered steaks--he had the 28oz ribeye and I had the hanger steak. Our friends both had the salmon. Appetizer-wise, we ordered the asparagus-potato soup, mussels, the lamb meatballs and fried calamari. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. For dessert, three of us ordered the Crumble. It normally comes with vanilla gelato, but April allowed me to indulge myself with chocolate as I like chocolate gelato a lot more (I personally enjoyed it). I do agree it looks a bit pricey, but for the experience, the professionalism, the amazing portion, presentation, etcetc, was completely worth it. We went on a Sunday evening and it wasn't crowded or loud. Good place for double dates.
Everything was delicious and server was amazing but you neeeeed to get the mango desert if u get nothing else. Also if the pork chop is on special. Its a party in your mouth. Yummm
One of a few very good restaurants in Princeton area. Food was delicious, and staffs were very nice. Will visit again! Highly recommended.
We have long loved this restaurant and had NY Eve dinner there last night. Wow! The food has gotten even better than it already was, this, on one of the busiest nights of the year. Chef Larry Robinson has returned to the Terramomo restaurant group and his food is amazing. We love to get a table in the bar area which is cozy and warm and Lynn, our server, is attentive and professional as is Claudia who is equally warm and welcoming with her wine service. We highly recommend Enoterra!! Thanks to the entire team for helping us to welcome in the new year!
Very cozy and welcoming restaurant with great food and service! I had their tagliatelle bolognese with their happy hour Syrah (which I thought was a really great deal considering the pour at $8 per glass) and everything was perfect. The pasta was perfect and the meat sauce was super flavorful without being greasy or oily. I’d love to come back and try more of their menu!
The Branzino is delicious, crispy outside and tender inside. The blue crab cakes are delicious as well. One Mocktail choice only, Peachy Clean is decent. Great service. A bit pricey for the food portions. The second floor has nice window garden view.
Umm... The food was definitely delicious with pretty nice plating. You know the chefs in the kitchen are seriously preparing the food with all their mind. This is similar to OMAKASE in Japanese cuisine. The waitress was also performing great hospitality and served us the best. Overall, this is a very enjoyable dining experience. I didn't give 5 stars is: although it provides valet parking, when everyone is crammed after meal waiting to get the car somehow ruins the good dinning feeling.
Eno Terra is best described as a fine dinning/special occasion experience. The menu is not to large, but offers a little of everything (fish, steak, pork, salads, pasta, vegetarian, etc.). They have a large wine selection and full bar. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. There is both indoor and patio dining, self park, and valet. It is pricey, but for those special occasions is worth it!
We came here for a special event by two Michelin class renowned chef’s. While the Tuscan wines and the earthy flavors of the Italian kitchen were on par with what we expected, the event seemed uneventful and very bland and basic. It was not worth the cost in comparison to our vest experience with other venues. The restaurant has a nice winery and a wine display. The staff especially our waiter were accommodating but it should be said that we arrived at 6:30pm and our first drinks and course were served at 7:15pm. A 45 minute wait seems like some sort of mismanagement. The overall experience is leaning on 3.5 stars but since there were several positives, I will give the 4 stars and leave open the possibility of trying this restaurant in a different setting.
This is a great stopping dinner spot before or after visiting GFS. The restaurant is a wine spot in a house sitting in a cute town in southern Jersey. The wine selection is impressive as well as the bread offered prior to the dinner. Dishes are well prepared and the staff are friendly and professional! Judging by the pasta, the standard is high for this area. It was a pleasant and lovely evening. We will be back!
The ambiance is a bit dated, not a very modern feel. For some reason it felt like a university gathering nook. The waitstaff was good, service was good. The food was ok, well prepared. Nothing really stood out. Excellent presentation of the dishes.
October 2016- Went there on Halloween night with the wife and kids by chance for her birthday. Am I glad we did! The place was empty with maybe 3-5 tables being served. The food was excellent. We ordered the cheese platter to start with. I had the young chicken while my wife and kids had various tutors of pasta. Would definitely highly recommend. The place is clean and staff is very nice too. Prices are a bit high but reasonable for a night of celebration. October 2019- Visited again three years later for wife’s birthday again. Enjoyed it again!
Stylish place with small, but tasty, menu. We hadn't been here in nearly 5 years, but were pleased as much this time around as we were for Mother's Day 2017. We started with the burrata, and loved it. My wife and I both had fish as our main course; she had the branzino, I had the salmon. Both were very good. My 13 year old had the ricotta gnocchi with shrimp, which was solid, though not as impressive as either fish dish. The side order of mushrooms were very good, though. While there's only a small selection of beer, I found something I liked. My wife had a white sangria, which was very fruity, tasty, but not very strong at all. The staff was excellent, it's a very nice setting, but it is a pretty expensive night out. Four stars.
A beautiful restaurant inside a barn like building. The staff was professional and friendly. The service was great. We had calamari, arugula salad, duck special, blue crab cakes, and cheese cake. The calamari breading was thicker than I’d like. The duck was delicious and tender but could use some sauce. The salad was fine and the crab cake was good. The cheese cake was fine.
Wonderful bar. I had a Cosmo and it was very good. Deviled eggs were good but a little fishy from the roe on top. The buffalo cauliflower and wings were good and spicy. We had a chocolate dessert that had way too much sea salt on it (we could not eat it and the cake had no flavor anyway), the waiter took it off the bill. The cobbler with coconut ice cream was delicious.
Beautiful location, cozy intimate interior and quality food and good wine (just had happy hour not a full meal)
Fantastic meal in an upscale ambiance. The wait staff was really friendly and efficient, but mixed up the timing and served us the appetizers along with the entrees, and brought an aperitif cocktail half way through the meal.
Slightly above average quality food, but not quite what it pretends to be based on prices shown. Also the food portions are on the smallish side, and all they have to hang their hat on is superior quality; however to justify this approach, you really need top notch quality, which is not what is on offer here. Dont get me wrong, the quality is okay, with some extra effort here and there, but still only okay, and not good enough to make this a winning strategy. It is not top notch. For example they had a half Cornish hen for $30, which is better than... say ..regular chicken, but the cooking was mediocre, so its a case of the owner tried, but did not finish. An appetizer of meat and cheese was 30 also, and the blue cheese was a grade above the cheapest blue cheese, so again, evidence of effort, but the pepperoni and prosciutto were average and small kinda small portions, but okay overall. My wife ordered seafood risotto ($38), which she said was too oily. Again, the portion was small even for my petite wife, except for the oil in it, which was plentiful and drowned the rest of the risotto. The food presentation, the service and atmosphere did not disappoint, so I feel like I am nitpicking, but I think people... and the owners, need to know the truth. There is room for improvement here.
Another very nice dining experience at Eno Terra. Overall, the restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, though we did sit upstairs to get away from the noise, and that worked out well. Service was good, food was excellent. The Bruschetta appetizer is a must, the Orecchiette con Salsiccia and the Tagliatelle Bolognese were both great.
I came across this restaurant one night, about a year ago, after I had just finished traveling a nearby hiking trail. It was late at that point, and I just wanted to find a place to get dinner before having to drive more than an hour back home (and especially after all that exercise, lol). When I google searched for local restaurants that were still open, I surprisingly wasn't given a lot of options for it being on a weekend. I chose Eno Terra because it was the closest to me, and it did actually look very appealing. When we got there, I thought the restaurant looked very charming from outside, especially while it was all lit up. It was very nicely decorated, with a prettily lit archway between the parking lot and the entrance, and with interesting sculptures and art all around. When I entered the restaurant, it all looked very classy and elegant, but also... kind of stiff? While the decor was beautiful, it seemed outdated and overwhelmingly dull, which gave off this sort of lifeless and boring vibe. The atmosphere is quite, which is nice for romantic settings and the like, but there wasn't even any music playing that I can remember, and that also just added to the stilted feeling of it all. The food is super pricey, which we expected after seeing how high-end the restaurant presented itself. We were actually surprised they even surved us at all and didn't ask us to leave, considering we had just finished hiking a fairly muddy trail for multiple hours just 20 mins before arriving, lol. Their menu items all seemed very interesting and delicious, and it was difficult for us to settle on just one meal item each. The food was definitely high quality, and the presentation of them were excellent. Unfortunately, the serving sizes are very small for what they were each worth, and as high quality as it all was, none of our meals really wowed us. Our servers were nice, and the overall service was fine. I am grateful to our one server who offered us ice wine after asking him advice on choosing a dessert wine for our table. I love ice wines! It can be pretty difficult to find ice wines for sale in general, but especially at that time of year. Them having ice wine definitely won them some brownie points with me, haha.
Food: The main course was truly delicious and we would both order it again (Beet Salad for appetizer & Braised Ribs, 9 out of 10). However, if you wanted any bread with your meal you had to pay for it. The cost for three drinks, bread, two appetizer beet salads, and two meals with a shared dessert was $200 (not including tip). Service: The service was slow even for a dinner reservation at 7pm on a Tuesday night. It took several minutes for the server to come to our table and when he did, he seemed rushed, although he did check in w us a couple times about our meal. Facilities: The women’s bathroom was messy and unkept. I used the toilet which had blood on it and one of the two sink facets was broke and unusable. The trash can on the floor was filled to the top and there appeared to be no deodorizer in the bathroom. Decor & Room experience: The decor on the outside was much nicer and unique than on the inside of the restaurant. The outside was beautifully decorated and well kept. However, dining on the inside was loud and the decor was plain. It was hard to hear, although my husband and I were sitting next to each other. The room was completely full and the acoustics made it difficult to hear your own party at your table. Parking: Lastly, the parking situation was bad enough we would consider not returning solely based on the difficulties when we arrived and left. When we arrived there was a line of cars waiting to be parked with the end of the line being in the main road). When we left the restaurant at 845pm on a Tuesday evening, the line was about 15 people deep waiting for their cars. Eventually my husband asserted himself ahead of the line because it was taking so long to get the car.
This is my third time here. It has been hit and miss. This time food was okay. I ordered three dishes including their special pasta with truffle and white sauce. The special pasta was so blend. Service was okay nothing special. This time it felt that I am not sure what I am paying for
Went for the Happy Hour (4-6pm). Drinks are strong but service lacking. I guess if u sit at the bar you'll b served faster. We had to wait a bit and then waited some more. HH food is like $2 less than regular menu and portions are smaller. Atmosphere is good for a nice date out. I'm not keen on mandatory valet but that's all they offer.
Was forced to do valet when there was ample parking space and only 1 car in the lot! It was still early so I thought it might be full by the time we finished but there were only 3 other cars in lot. Seemed foolish to wait for the valet to get my car which was parked right in front of me! Anyway, the food was good except that it was too pricey for such a small portion. If you're really hungry, that is not the place to go. The atmosphere was nice and cozy, though, and the waiter attentive. Bit I don't think I will come back here.
Very good service, especially on drinks. Steak was a London broil, a cheaper cut of meat, salmon was a little dry. Food was generally underseasoned, and they serve the entrees with butter knives where they should use steak knives, none of the meat was tender enough for butter knives. Between the drinks and valet service and airs of fine dining while cutting corners for a lower price point, this is a good place for corporate functions and presentations.
Arrived excited to enjoy the experience. Was seated at a table at the bar area. Our beverage service took 15 minutes after ordering. And there was only 1 more table with occupant and no one at the bar. Ordered the soup and asked twice for a spoon before getting one from the hostess stand. Bread basket was ordered and delivered after asking for it and reminding it had not come. … and told oops. Main course took 70 minutes to arrive, the pasta was sweet as if the pasta was cooked in sugar water not salt. There was no balance to the entree and it was room temperature. ( we did not eat it as it was not worth the calories). The hostess was the one to get the entree after asking the server and was told it was” on the way”. Hostess said she had notified the manager because this was not a normal experience. The manager apologized said she would send an email and coordinate a “repeat meal” on her to change the impression. Said the email would come immediately. … no email and no service with only mediocre food. If you are looking for a special experience look somewhere else.
$140 for dinner for two and no alcohol. One would presume it would have been a fantastic experience. But no; as average as they come at a local diner. The host took his time to seat us, the waiter had a supercilious attitude and when requested if we could have our bread warmed they brought bread burnt black and the waiter insisted there was nothing wrong with it. The entrees we ordered were tasty. When making the reservation one of the questions asked was if we were celebrating any special occasion (our anniversary). Wonder why they even bothered to collect that information unless they want to send us a $5 off coupon for our anniversary next year. Left me and my wife wondering why ET is rated so high.
On New Year’s Eve, my family and I chose Eno Terra in Kingston, NJ for what we hoped would be a special evening out with our children. Based on the glowing online reviews, we expected a memorable experience. Instead, we were left disappointed, extremely uncomfortable, and frustrated. We were seated upstairs on the second floor and remained the only table there for over an hour, which was surprising given that we were told the restaurant would be extremely busy due to the holiday. While our server, Paige, was friendly, the service overall was slow and inattentive, especially problematic since we had two young children who needed drink refills and additional food. Within minutes of sitting down, very cold air began blowing directly over our table. Considering it was freezing outside, this was both uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. Although the issue was supposedly addressed, the cold air repeatedly turned back on throughout the meal, forcing us to sit through bursts of freezing air while we ate. We were surprised they didn't offer to move our table to another location given we were the only ones seated on this floor. During one of the cold air cycles, I approached a staff member with short dark hair wearing glasses who was taking photos of wine bottles and decorations for social media. She appeared irritated that I had interrupted her, responded rudely, and spoke to me in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. As someone familiar with hospitality standards, I was shocked by how I was spoken to. The interaction was disrespectful and completely inappropriate for a customer-facing role. It was also highly inappropriate that she took the time to speak to other members of the staff about our interaction as we finished our meal. If this team put as much time into taking photos for their social media accounts as they did in other areas I noted above and below, maybe this would have been a better experience. The children’s food was unacceptable. Chicken fingers and fries are about as basic as it gets, yet both were poorly prepared. The chicken was dry, overly seasoned, and tough, while the fries were overcooked to the point of being nearly burnt. They were barely edible, and we had to stop elsewhere afterward to feed our kids. Our own entrées were no better. They were overly salty, undercooked, and not remotely worth the more than $400 we spent on this meal. A teenager with zero culinary skills could serve up a better meal. This was an expensive, and thoroughly disappointing experience. We drove an hour and a half for what was supposed to be a special holiday meal and instead received subpar food, slow service, and poor treatment. We will not be returning and would strongly caution others against dining here. What a terrible way to end the year!
Do not go here on Valentine’s Day. $233 for three courses rushed to our table in under 40 minutes. I was still eating my main course and they tried to take it away.
Unforgettable experience, not in a good way. -food started off good, appetizers and salad were excellent. -I ordered the CHITARRA GAMBERETTI and my wife ordered the CRAB AGNOLOTTI. - My dinner was pretty good, but they brought my wife TAGLIATELLE BOLOGNESE. We're not fussy people so she started eating it because we didn't see our server for at least 10 minutes after we received our dinners. -After we finally saw the server, she was very apologetic, but no manager ever came over to talk to us. He came over to our area a little later but went out of his way to avoid eye contact with my wife. -Ordered the Budino for dessert and it was brought to us without spoons, which we had to wait another 5-10 minutes. -Waited at least 20 minutes for check when finally we had to just tell our server to take the card and pay the check. They charged us for something called ABRUZZESE which I can't even find on the menu.
I'm reserving the right to update this review if things change in the near future. I visited Eno Terra 2 weeks ago for a nice evening and dinner. The valet parked my car (no option to park myself, had to use valet). The young gentleman that brought the car to me didn't say a word, got out and moved to the next car. We heard the young man hit something... as I walked around the car, I didn't see anything- the parking lot was dark and my car was covered in salt. As the kid saw me looking, he said 'oh I hit a cone up there, if you see damage let me know I'll pay you right now'. I couldn't see anything due to it being dark and the salt. I got home later that evening and pulled into the garage, turned on the lights, and the entire side of my car was scratched and dented. The restaurant and the valet are not handling this. It's been 2 weeks and still waiting on any type of resolution. The quote to fix the damage is $5.3k, so this isn't a small scratch, and they aren't handling it- beware.
