Very good soft icecream, with accommodating and friendly staff. Outdoor seating with a breeze on a hot day
Great fresh food and wonderful service. 2nd time here...just as good as the first...many more visits to come.
Wide variety of foods, great wait staff, very laid back, great prices, been there for breakfasts and dinners, have not been disappointed
A huge variety of food choices, great prices, good service and a really friendly environment! It's like going to a diner that your friend owns!
Excellent service and the food was delicious. I had the grilled salmon dinner special. It was really good and I don't even like fish all that much.
We love this place. Everybody is very friendly and I have never had a bad meal. We love their tuna sandwich especially.
food is consistently and always delicious. breakfast is outstanding. just a gem in the rough
My family and I love coming here ! We order from here almost weekly ! They are so welcoming and friendly . And they take care of you right away no wait time
Always a winner, Orlando's Cafe has good food at reasonable prices. The waitresses are warm and welcoming. Everytime we are in town, we eat there.....I insist!
Small town family type restaurant, like a diner. I had breakfast here, cheesy eggs, bacon and french toast and it might have been the best breakfast I ever had, and I'm not hurting for any meals. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, it's all about the food here and that's fine with me.
A group of us has been meeting at Orlando's for breakfast before work for a long time. Once COVID hit we figured that wasn't gonna be possible for awhile. But once the restrictions were lifted and outdoor dining permitted Orlando's made the accommodations and we're back. The food is still excellent and well worth the trip, in fact we hope the outside dining will remain an option even when it's not required. It's good to be back, thanks.
Absolutely love going here, I go almost every Sunday. The waitresses are amazing, food is great and it is super comfortable. Small and low key but that's what makes it special.
Great place to eat on NJ rt 31, friendly staff, food is off the hook! Big lot for big trucks, can fit 4-5 tractor trailers in and it's super easy access into and out of the lot to the state highway. Ice cream stand off to the side, great place for desert.
unfortunately must eat on the road 95% of work week. Orlando's is an oasis for those looking for a meal with a taste rarely found. I consider myself a pretty good cook, but could not match the taste and quality found here! one of the few Hearts placed on Google Maps on my nav...
We love this place. Have been eating here for years. Something for everyone. Basic atmosphere, but excellent food.
I always stop at this place whenever I pass it. Everything I've ever ordered here has been absolutely amazing and relatively cheap compared to other restaurants. This place has amazing quality food for the price!
Really great place for breakfast. I am there once a month with bells on!
Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich to go and it was amazing. Great atmosphere, polite staff, real down to earth feel. 10/10 would make the drive back just to eat here
Amazing quality, well cooked and not super greasy. Excellent place for diner quality food. Breads are excellent!
Contrary to what a previous reviewer had posted, I find the pickles at Orlando's to be fresh, crisp, and cool. The rest of the food is great as well.
The best food I've had in months. Absolutely perfect cooking. Clam chowder and fish and chips cood to perfection. Big thanks to the chef!
Very reasonable priced for is off the charts I had breakfast 2 eggs and bacon toast and potatoes
Great place great food. It's a lovely local diner/cafe with great and friendly staff. Comfort food at its best.
The Western Omelet was Huge and so thick, packed full of Veggies and the home fries, tasted so Good. At Orlando's Cafe you can count on Receiving a Top of the Line Friendly Service, Very Tasty Food at a low cost. When i'm near their, i go there.
Great stop for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. The people here are super friendly and the food is good.
Had the reuben.... delicious. Best cole slaw too. Leaving super full and happy. Glad our bike group went here. Definitely will be back!
Love this little diner, the food is good and the service has always been great every time we go. We usually bring our two little ones and they love it as much as we do.
The waitresses were extremely friendly and made you feel welcomed. I only had desert and the portion side was huge. The others with me also enjoyed their meals. I would recommend Orlando’s to all my friends and family
I’ve never actually been here but I drive by it every day. I can just tell it’s a good spot. Always people here. I see Joe and Fernando every morning getting their breakfast. It’s just a solid place. Classic diner. Classic food. 10/10 would recommend.
Orlandos makes the best french fries you can find, hands down. My son and I go there and enjoy the ample servings and great specials. But the french fries are perfect. The cooks know what they're doing.
This is the real deal NJ diner. Big menu, great flavor with friendly staff. I had an omelette which was massive including sides. I’ve also enjoyed the chili and pie there. You really can’t go wrong.
Great family run diner, good food, fast service, ice cream!, good hours .
My husband got a 3 meat omelet and deep fry potatoes. The omelet was so fluffy and filled with bacon, sausage & ham. He has never had one this large and delicious. I had a BLT on wheat bread. The bacon was done well enough that it didn’t fall apart, the lettuce was crisp & the tomato was red and tasty and not wet. The wheat bread is the best I have ever had and held up without falling apart. I would love to know where they get it. We eat there often and have never been disappointed. They should be written up in some kind of food forum. The service is on point. Always asking if we need anything or if the meal is satisfactory. A+++
Excellent diner-style fare for not much money. This place isn't necessarily much to look at - a rambling, low-lying wooden diner-like structure off Route 31 between Pennington and Ringoes - but you should by no means pass it up because of that. The inside is cozy, with a lunch counter and numerous tables. The food is simply great. I typically have a cheddar cheese omelette with bacon on the side; these are always prepared to my liking, delicious, and very filling. Whenever I'm here, I can't resist one of their hot dogs: grilled to perfection, and remarkably inexpensive. Their ice cream counter is a wonderful way to end a meal. One thing I must mention is the outdoor dining experience, in season. Simple picnic tables are set up under trees next to and behind the restaurant, which backs up to a grassy lawn and the edge of a tree nursery. In good weather, the experience is delightful, as is the scenery. The staff is always cheerful and friendly, too. The place is a local favorite, so by all means stop on in.
Went here for breakfast. Dggs over medium were cooked perfectly! Sausage links were delicious; their casing has a nice snap that isn't true of all diner sausage. Quick, friendly service. This place is always doing good business, and you can tell why. I'd love to try this place for lunch/dinner next.
I'm from out of state, was a nice place to take my girlfriend for breakfast before we left back home. Very peaceful environment and the food was good.
Great country style comfort food in a casual setting. Huge portions good prices and great service. Definitely a place with regulars for each meal but plenty of room for folks passing by looking for a good meal. Can't go wrong with a western omelette, gyro, wings or cheese steak. Food available to go always includes napkins utensils and condiments if you don't have time to dine in
I love this place. It’s a local hangout and when you walk in you’re pretty much assured you’re going to see someone you know or you might even know EVERYONE. The food is diner type and the selection good. Portions are generous. Lou walks around and talks to everyone when he’s in. Waitresses are all familiar and friendly. I like that you can go there whenever and wearing whatever. Simple comforts.
It was our first time here. Cheesesteak fans know that ordering a cheesesteak from a jersey diner is risky, but I took the risk and it paid off. The cheesesteak was fantastic. Everything else was good too.
Food was good but the young staff was fresh about their prices going up!
Just happened to stop here not really expecting much. Originally was going to get a burger but was suggested they make a good Reuben. I figured I'd try it. It was really good. Everything was fresh, and the fries were crispy. There was plenty of outside seating and the staff was very friendly.
Good, Old School Comfort Food joint for the Average Joe. Good eats at fair prices. No frills, but a good, down home honest meal. Nothing wrong with that! I love it for a hearty breakfast too. They also have an ice cream stand, but I haven't tried that out yet. I'm sure it's great on a hot summer evening outting for a cool sweet treat! I saw that there is Indoor and outdoor seating for ice cream patrons.
I go here almost every sunday for an early lunch with family. It's great. Waitresses are awesome, the food is good, and reasonably priced. They have awesome soft serve ice cream. Best I've ever had. Definitely check it out.
I came to buy a car from northern va after I wanted to get some food and found this dinner I can honestly say it was a very warm welcome the staff where very friendly took care of my order. Overall if you are looking for a nice quite place to eat where people are friendly please come visit this dinner won’t leave you hanging.
I had a bowl of soup and a steak and cheese. soup was homemade just like grandma's. steak and cheese was juicy on a toasted bun. service was great. waitress was kind and friendly.
Go here. Now. It tastes like Gordon Ramsey made food and cooked it using holy water from the Jordan river, freshly squeezed tomatoes, cheese just harnessed from the utters of a cow, and put it into a breakfast meal. Buy the amazing food please I am begging at this point every bite is just heavenly!
Fabulous ice cream and omelettes and eggs that are excellent.!! Love th solid coffee mugs with coffee that isn't bitter! An excellent experience- inside seating plentiful but not to comfortable. A must try experience NJ!!
I passed by here thinking if was just an ice cream shop but it turned out to be ice cream with a cafe type of diner . I was excited to try this out because usually the mom & pop stores tend to have fresh homemade food and it is usually very good comfort food . Everything I got excited about was actually a very good food experience and I was delighted to have stopped here for a very late well needed lunch . When I walked in there were many people sitting and eating for a countryside eatery . I ordered a mushroom barley soup and a Swiss cheese mushroom burgerthat came with a pickle, coleslaw and french fries but I substituted the fries for a mashed potatoes and gravy. My lunch was so delicious only complaint was my soup was brought out cold but the waitress Gloria quickly brought it back to the kitchen to heat it up . Gloria was very friendly and had a smile on her face and you could see if she loves her job. it is always refreshing to have a happy waitress. I decided to combine my desserts with the ice cream and a blueberry pie. I got blueberry ice cream on top of blueberry pie and it was amazing. Gloria heated up my blueberry pie and topped it off with the blueberry ice cream was very good and taste homemade . If I am in the area, I will definitely stop by here again. Don’t pass this place by you won’t be sorry A+++++
Like stepping back in time to great diner fare: delicious.
I love Orlando’s. Basic, tasty fare at excellent prices.
I had an omelette, toast, grilled potatoes and bacon It was excellent. The staff were great
Amazing breakfasts great prices and the ambiance is unmatched
The perogies were absolutely delightful and the omelet was massive and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. If you are in the area, this place is definitely worth a visit. The homemade pies made on site were the perfect finish to the meal. I will be coming back soon.
Stopped in for dinner on the way to a local event. A nice menu with something for everyone.
Really good, laid back, casual dining with a welcoming atmosphere. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. Staff is attentive and the cooks are quick and efficient. Every time I have been they have met and exceeded how I feel a diner/restaurant should operate. All food always came out hot and delicious even when busy. I definitely recommend this place. I will add pictures next time I am there.
Building Needs updating...food was great!! Loved our waitress!
Truck parking available , 5 or 6 spots easy . There where 2 other trucks parked overnight when i got here at 5:30am . Very nice waitress opened the door at 6am and the cheese steak omelet was amazing. I certainly didn't leave hungry. The menu is loaded with quality options. Finding places like this over the road is a blessing .
Trucker here..Missed a turn, saw this FABULOUS SPOT to turn myself in the right direction..Turns out that this place was big enough for me to park my rig on. When inside and ordered a "BELT".... that's my own personal acronym for, Bacon,Fried Egg,Lettuce and Tomato.. it was one of the best that I've ever had, and it was only $5 in change
Yet another fantastic meal from here. My husband and I ordered some takeout and it was perfectly cooked. It was still warm by the time we ate it, and no soggy fries! WIN! The staff is super friendly and plenty of parking. Oh, and we ordered dessert as well. Ice cream was good and their apple pie delicious. Excited to have my next meal there.
FANTASTIC!! We just moved into the area and have stopped by Orlando's a few times. Their omelettes were packed with fixings, delicious and reasonably priced. My wife and I stopped by this evening for dinner, takeout. Her California burger hit every note of flavor and my chicken parm came with a large house salad, enough pasta for two and garlic bread. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and we look forward to many meals at Orlando's.
After a morning of client appointments, I stopped here for lunch with my kids. This place is truly a hidden gem. I ordered the turkey club, and it is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The sandwich was perfectly made, served with crispy chips and a side of delicious cole slaw. (Pictured is only half of the club because I was so hungry and forgot the photo 😊). My kids also loved their meals. The chicken fingers came in a huge portion—plenty to share—and the pasta was equally generous and satisfying. The portions are impressive, the food is fantastic, and the overall experience was great. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing food and a cozy vibe, this is the place to go!
“We're known for our omelettes.” CAN CONFIRM. Stopped by this place on my way to Flemington. Absolutely incredible four item omelette, jam-packed with protein, exactly what I needed to start my day. Everything was fresh, cooked perfectly, obviously huge portions, great service, easy parking, fantastic prices. What else do you need? p.s. coffee was awesome too! UPDATE 9-Jun-2024: made a point to visit Orlando’s again today because I knew I needed a protein packed breakfast for a long day of photography ahead of me. As expected , their omelette delivered! This beauty had bacon, ham, sausage, and provolone cheese and was fabulous! So glad I was able to eat here today.
Love Orlando's. The food is great, the portions ridicoulous, and the waitresses are the salt of the earth. The building leaves a bit to be desired, however the rest far makes up for it.
LOVED the food, couldn't have a FRIENDLIER STAFF. Rode 106 miles of backroads in inclement weather on the motorcycle to eat here. DEFINITELY COMING BACK.
Great breakfast and lunch place. Grilled chicken sandwich done just as I asked. Very nice and attentive wait staff.
First time there...great place to sit back and relax with old friends. My California burger was great. Staff was very friendly and service was very quick. TY...
Good home cooking, free Wi-Fi, BYOB, friendly staff, laid back atmosphere. You can't go wrong stopping at Orlando's for a meal.
Good food. Generous helpings. And friendly staff. We were traveling in the area and a local suggested this small, locally-owned diner
Cute little place Disappointed in the small burgers but the steak fries made up for them!! Sandy was Very Sweet & Attentive!!
Great little off the road spot. Very nice and accommodating staff. Their hard churned ice cream was great too. Thanks for helping out a bunch of Soldiers in need. 🇺🇲👍
Friendly waitress/waiter, good food at a reasonable price. Basically, it is a diner so need to worry about a "dress code" as jeans and sneakers work just as well as business casual. The place is usually packed with people all day on Sunday and BYOB.
Nice home spot to grab a meal, and better prices than the other diners I normally go to. Typical diner food. French toast was eggier than I like but still good. Bacon was perfectly crispy. Staff was super friendly and food came quickly. Other patrons all looked like extras in a Wilford Brimley commercial, but we did not feel like butterflies under glass. I'd definitely come back again.
Had a very nice time here on Father's day. We came at around 4:00pm and it thankfully wasn't packed. Quite the opposite, actually. Not many customers, but also not many on staff. I'll assume that some of them took off for the holiday. I forget our waitress's name, but she was running around and around all day. Despite obviously being overworked, she was still very patient and kind to us all. She deserves a raise. Out of all the items on the menu, I throughly recommend the grilled chicken gyro. Absolutely superb. The fries are quite delicious, too.
Great food! Comfort style, wide selection. Iced tea is delicious. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Outside seating area is cute but inside is basic diner feeling.
Fairly typical diner type menu: breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, soups, fried appetizers, salad, and pies. An older venue but clean and upkept. We ordered the appetizer sampler (chicken fingers, mozz sticks, onion rings) and turkey club. Food was tasty and a good amount for an affordable price, either dish could have been enough to share on its own. Free WiFi is available.
Cute place but the employees seem to really not care much about their service. Earbuds in and talking to each other. Not the most friendly but the food was good.
Lots of food for the money. Fried chicken and fries were good! The furniture is worn out and the inside decor generally needs some care. Maybe that's how they keep prices down.
Food was decent, eggs were a bit overcooked and orange juice tasted old, will have to try again with lunch, that seems to be the favorite of most reviews. But the pancakes were tasty and fluffy. Could use a few less flies flying around the dining room though, doesn't really add to the appeal.
Sat near the window, close to the counter. Waitress came very quickly, took order and food came quickly. However, that was the last we saw of her. Place was not overly crowded. She went around 2 different times with the coffee, but never came to our table. To make matters worse, after drinking half of his coffee, my husband discovered dryer something in his coffee. The waitresses only comment was..oh, I'll tell the owner.
Didn't even attempt to make order correct on two sandwiches. Cheese on fries was a small clump in the corner. Pickles were disgustingly limp and mushy. Last time eating there.
Even if the food was first rate ( it is definitely not) the smell of bleach is enough to avoid this place, which offers mediocre, uninspiring food
If you’re going to really close at 8:40pm and be rude to customers who come at 8:40pm to patronize the ice cream shop, lock the doors while you clean and change the closing time. My family and I stopped in for ice cream at 8:40pm, one person even checked in with them before we all came in. The girl was busy cleaning, understandable. But she was rude. I used to work in the food business too but I was accustomed to serving everyone until it’s the posted closing time. Before I even looked at the menu on the wall, the girl asked for my order and barely gave the others time to look. Before everyone was out the door, she shut the lights off. Change your closing time to 8:45pm. We felt uncomfortable sitting at their picnic tables with the way we got rushed out so we stood around our car to eat our ice cream.
VERY DIRTY FILTHY ESTABLISHMENT!!! Walked in and went to sit at the counter to order and noticed old food on the countertop and floors. Flies swarming everywhere. I CAN ONLY imagine what that kitchen looks like. I walked right out! Gross!
Trying to get in touch with Lou to remove my fridge and get the one downstairs put up here. So while Lou is at his restaurant, I have no FOOD because he is ignoring me. Got the rent from the deli. HEY I LIVE UPSTAIRS. A WEEK WITH NO FOOD, MAKE THAT 2 WEEKS.HE DIDN'T HAVE THE COMMON DECENCY TO LET ME KNOW WHAT'S UP. LOU MAY HAVE THIS RESTAURANT, AND HE IS SELLING HIS BUILDING, THE CAROUSEL. but I'M STILL a tenant and he is still my landlord. And I have no food because he won't do anything. Hey, anyone out there have a backhoe or something similar because LOU JUST CAN'T FIND ANYONE TO HELP. SO THUMBS DOWN FOR ME.
This place may be ok to others but when I walked in with my family not one person went to offer the menu even though they were not busy attending other customers. I am not going to say the were racist because nothing was said but we certainly felt like second class citizens. There were some flies too. We won't be going back there but the place certainly has a charming surrounding area.
Absolutely WORST service Iv ever experienced. Charged us for wings and a salad that we didn’t order. Charged us double the amount listed on there menus. Called to asked why and had the rudest lady answer and disregard everything I said.
Food is good, prices are good. Service for the second visit in a row has been awful. Maybe the waitress had a bad day, dunno. Old red hair waitress was condescending, made a mistake on my order and blamed me, never checked to see if I needed anything else and then told me to give my cash to the front register rather than me paying her because 'she was too busy' (and then her colleague took my payment proactively). Too many other choices around. Do not recommend unless you are a regular there and known to the wait staff.
We brought my elderly father to Orlando’s for what will likely be his last Father’s Day outing. He is 86 and has blood cancer amongst many other ailments. He rarely leaves his bed but was excited to go out to breakfast and got the strength up to get out of bed. We were seated at 9:45am and yes, it was very crowded. Tons of motorcycles. We received drinks right away and placed our order. I expected it would take a little longer because of the crowds. By 10:25 my dad was starting to fade. He had to put his head on the table. We asked them to check on our food, the server said “it’s in the line” . At 10:50 I got up and stopped a server and told her my Dad was literally going to collapse at the table from exhaustion if we didn’t get our food. I pointed him out. She said it wasn’t her table and didn’t someone tell us it would take awhile to get our food. I told her they didn’t tell us it would be over an hour. I told her tables all around us and young guys coming to the counter were all getting their food before us. She handed me three packs of crackers and told me to go back to my table. At 10:55 we gave up and it took two of us to get him to our car. The server yelled “There’s nothing we can do about it!” . My sister had to wait until 11:25 for the food to come out in take home containers. My Dad went home and straight to the bed without eating. Thanks Orlando’s, for ruining our last Father’s Day.
Place needs a good cleaning , ketchup on the walls along with other food stains, ceiling tiles are dirty , you can see the bugs inside the ceiling lights , the girl got just about everything wrong with our order . I was here a fews years ago and the service was great and the place was cleaner.
Very dirty bathroom. Dining area had bunch of flies. I also saw a dead cockroach. Service was slow. I didn’t even want to eat the food.
