What a fabulous experience! We were greeted so warmly and had the best service we’ve ever had locally by Noelle and Mario the owner was super sweet too. Noelle’s warm smile and sweet demeanor made our night. The space is warm, inviting and not too loud which my husband appreciates. Now onto the food. Everything was beyond amazing. Favorites were the Yukon gold potato soup, scallop ceviche, skirt steak, salmon and cavatelli. Great value for the quality and portion sizes. BYOB our fave! Plenty of ample parking in a beautiful setting. Only wish for future is better glassware for our drinks. The plates and bowls beautiful but the wine glasses could be updated. Will definitely be back soon!
What a wonderful addition to the Woolverton Inn property. We enjoyed this perfectly curated 3 course meal for our anniversary at the Northridge Restaurant. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, the hostess was kind and attentive, and Chef Lance and team nailed the meals. Mario, one of the owners, came around, and it is always wonderful to speak with him and feel so welcome. Thank you for a fantastic evening and I encourage anyone visiting the area to come here for a heartwarming meal.
Nothing short of perfect From the moment we entered the door until we exited, every minute was executed to a tee. The food was nothing short of delicious, every course somehow followed up with the same amount of attention to detail& precision. Our server Noelle, enhanced the entire experience. One of the owners, Mario, was also around to check-in, which really sent home the message that there is a high level of care and attention. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is impeccable and the staff really are the keystone of the establishment. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Excellent experience
You MUST visit Northridge whether you make the trip to stay at the Wolverton Inn or are close enough to just dine at this new restaurant the property owners opened a year ago. Northridge is located in the working farm's lovingly renovated barn with an architecturally spectacular addition that includes beautiful beams, huge windows, and an incredible 2-story fireplace. The appointments are simple, yet lovely, and make for a warm, elegant dining space. And, every bite of food was amazing! Surprise pre-appetizers included delicious little biscuits and beautifully plated tiny bites: dollop of hummus topped by a sliver of crostini, adorable little jar of vegetable tapenade, bite of cheese with micro greens. From the $75 three-course pre-fixe menu ($65 w/ no dessert) I chose for my appetizer the duck on a little sweet potato waffle - such a unique combination of wonderful flavors! My main, salmon atop a leek puree, was perfectly cooked and, again, the flavors were amazing. My husband had the potato soup with lobster bits and it was absolutely delicious. His Veal Bolognese was a very large portion of pasta and slow-cooked shredded veal with peas, carrots, and a sauce that made us want to lick the bowl. Our desserts were a warm apple crumble and a delightful chocolate parfait served in a small jar. We met the owners, Mario and Mary, and were happy to rave about their wonderful job creating the space and choosing the excellent staff - from their talented chef to the friendly and attentive servers. Our BYOB fine-dining experience was well worth the cost and we'll go back, bringing along as many friends as we can!
A local farm to table gem for all living near or far. Beautifully and meticulously restored historic farm building that serves as venue for restaurant. The menu doesn't get any better with sourcing local ingredients. The owners Mary and Mario are often around to greet their guests and every attention to detail is a testament to the heart and soul that the two of them have invested in a very authentic and special experience. Highly recommend for any special occasion or really any reason to eat amazing locally sourced food in a beautiful setting. Be prepared to be impressed! Unfortunately did not take photos of all courses because enjoying ourselves too much ;) - next time :)
This is an outstanding place. Unbelievable atmosphere and superb cuisine. We stumbled upon it this evening. Just a bit off the beaten path but well worth the visit. $55 two course menu that was diverse and of highest quality. Servers and host were amazing. They shared the history of the property and possessed the perfect mix of professionalism and being casual. I highly recommend the Northridge.
I had the pleasure of eating at Northridge and impressive is an understatement. I enjoyed the perfectly tender braised beef while my husband dined on the melt in your mouth rib eye. I don't usually order soup, but at the recommendation of the AMAZING staff, indulged in the lobster potato soup and WOW, just WOW - will definitely be ordering that again. The fireplace and ambiance in the barn is so relaxing, intimate, warm, inviting. I can't wait to come back in warmer weather to sit outside, too! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive - service top notch. I look forward to dining again here very soon. As someone who is a picky eater, I would order every item on this well thought out menu.
Beautiful setting and decor! The food was outstanding. Next level dining. We will be back for sure.
Amazing service, luxurious decor, and the entire experience was a pleasure. The food was good, but the portion sizes are small. The place is BYOB but we didn't realize before getting there (the incredibly nice owner gave some complimentary glasses of wine instead). I'll definitely be back in the future!
There is nowhere else in this area where you'll find this level of charm, ambiance, and wonderfully prepared and presented food. Mario and Mary are charming and gracious making you feel right at home in this beautiful, cozy, and warm restaurant. Oh, and it's BYOB so you won't break the bank I had the Yukon potato soup with the ribeye steak and my wife had the chicory salad with scallops. Everything was fabulous! A best of breed restaurant in a charming, but welcoming setting. It couldn't have been better.
Our family of four have been anxiously awaiting the opening of Northridge and it did not disappoint! The setting is absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant is laid out very well; tables are not too close and it is decorated beautifully. The fire place adds a very nice touch. The outdoor area looks wonderful and they plan to have outdoor seating in the warmer weather. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We were treated so well from the moment we walked in. The food was perfection! Each course was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. For appetizers we had the Caesar salad, butternut squash tart and the potato and lobster soup. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted incredible. For our entree's 2 of us had salmon and 2 of us had steak. Again, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We did not have dessert, though I am sure it was incredible. The meal was priced in line with most of the restaurants in the area but one of the big differences I have to highlight is that the quality matched the price! So many restaurants in this area have high prices and medium quality. This meal was worth every penny. We definitely plan on recommending the Northridge to everyone we know and going again in the near future. They also allowed us to see the event space and it is stunning! So happy to have this gem in our area!
Short Review: Absolutely fantastic and incredible! Delicious food, incredible staff, exquisite place! Worth every single penny! Long Review: My partner and I wanted an easy, low-key dinner for 9 to celebrate our wedding. Everyone at Northridge exceeded our expectations! We placed our reservation a week in advance and had requests regarding dietary restrictions for some guests and removing prices from the menu for our celebration, which they not only fulfilled but proposed making special menus with my partner and my first name initials! On the day, it was an incredible experience because we could actually have a delicious, RELAXED dinner! The staff was incredibly attentive, unobtrusive and professional (no unnecessary clearing of plates or asking "Are you still working on that?") We were all at ease and time passed by leisurely (we were there for 4 hours! I had no idea!). I'm extremely appreciative of their patience and respect for our dinner party. Now, for the food. Wow o wow!! Incredible presentation, portion sizes and preparation! Just let yourself be guided on a foodie journey by their chef and incredible staff! I believe among everyone in our party we had everything on the menu. Everyone enthusiastically agreed it was an incredible meal. Lastly, but not least, the atmosphere. Woolverton spent 4 years renovating and rebuilding the barn that is now Northridge and the work that went into that building is thoughtful, tasteful and incredible. Makes the place a truly unique, cozy and comfortable space. The best part, we could all have a conversation that you could hear across the table! Definitely a challenge in many other places. I can not recommend Northridge enough. Totally worth it and we WILL be back! Best celebration to pair with our special day!
Absolutely loved this place, from the food to the people to atmosphere, never knew it was here til this fall, this is a must try place, I can not think of any i did not like, you most likely will always need reservations
My wife and I agree, this is a terrific place for a romantic evening. Loved the food, loved the atmosphere, our server (Diana) weathered my bad humor (“Is the salmon grass-fed?) with cheerful grace. We are staying at the adjacent Woolverton Inn, which clearly has its own very thoughtful romantic element. If we lived closer, we would frequent both regularly. P.S. - we are not easily impressed, we have been married for 45 years, have traveled the world, and dine out 150+ nights a year.
All around wonderful experience. It was so hard to choose from the menu options but every single one is perfection so no matter what you choose you'll be happy! The building is beautiful. Friendly and attentive service from start to finish.
Can’t say enough good things about the food and hospitality. Al fresco dining is the way to go albeit the inside is amazing as well.
Incredible experience! We went for the Sunday supper and loved it! Food was delicious, spot on! Excellent service and what a beautiful setting. This place is a must try!! Were going back. 5 Star
WOW!! Nailed it. We have been anxiously waiting for the renovation to be completed. Everyone that worked on this project did a remarkable job. Food was excellent. Service was warm and friendly. Great job to all the staff.
A fantastic meal with an even better view and atmosphere. The service was excellent and the estate is breathtaking. We will definitely be back!
The Kansas City Ribs were on point, loved it all. Was a great place will be going back again.
Went here with my family. It was wonderful, a lot of care taken in the menu and ambiance. Absolutely will be back
Everything was wonderful, the food was absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful new space, cant wait to come back and try some more delicious food.
Amazing food and even better people. Exceeded expectations and will be back!

Kids-friendly and relaxing environment. 5. “Excellent experience!” From start to finish, everything was amazing. The staff was polite, and the food arrived on time. One of my favorite restaurants in the USA. 6. “Highly recommended restaurant.” Very clean place, tasty food, and friendly staff. If you are visiting the USA, you should try this restaurant at least once. 7. “Five-star service!” The food was hot and fresh. The staff made us feel welcome. I loved the atmosphere and music. Definitely coming back.
My wife picked this for her bday dinner. Our first time there and we had an absolutely lovely evening. The staff hospitality was 100% from the moment we arrived and continued all through our meal. We were seated fireside which made for a lovely setting. Our meals were fabulous. I had the ribeye. My wife had salmon and loved it. My medium rare steak was outstanding! Perfect temperature with a deliciously seasoned, charred and crispy sear. It's byob, but they do sell a white and red local vineyard wine by the bottle. We had the red and quite honestly, it was very good. An excellent experience and an overall good value.
My family and I recently had dinner here to celebrate a birthday and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant but still comfortable, and the attention to detail in the décor really adds to the overall feel of the place. The lighting, music, and layout make it easy to relax and enjoy your time. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavor. You can tell the chef puts real thought into the menu and the ingredients are high quality. The service was professional and attentive without being pushy, which is something I really appreciate. It’s the kind of place that makes any evening feel special. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Cant go wrong with this place. Fixe price menu, reasonably priced, excellent and innovative menu, fantastic ambiance, good, friendly service, owners come visit the table and BYOB. I had the trout appetizer and Truffle Turkey Pot Pie. Wife had the Soup and the cod. Everything was tasty and well done. The crème brûlée was particularly good as well. Kudos to Chef Omar. And the dinner biscuits, also homemade, were equally delightful. And on top of that, did I mention, BYOB! The renovated barn with the large working fireplace is wonderful. No cc surcharge either. Hope they dont change. Go now while thwy are this good!
This place offers everything you'd come to expect when you think fall or winter, from the atmosphere to the impressive fireplace. The service was also impeccable and attentive, but the chef gets all the props. Ordinarily, most people don't expect to see a pit our in the menu and think much of it, but this was something quite unique. Running a restaurant is one of the toughest gigs out there and all my kudos goes to this place!
The food here is incredible. I had a truffle chicken pot pie that I will be dreaming about from now on. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. I forget his name, but he was great. Clean, beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. 5/5.
Everything about it was exceptional! The service was outstanding from the moment we were greeted at the door. The restaurant was beautiful. Being a converted barn it had a very high ceiling which kept the noise down. And there was a big fireplace at one end with a roaring fire. The food was amazing. Everything we had was delicious, unique and beautifully prepared.
We HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. We had the pleasure of dining at Northridge last week for their Sunday Supper; lucky us! The restaurant is lovely and welcoming, and the food is superb. We started with the puréed asparagus and potato soup, and a Woolverton Caesar salad; yum. My husband ordered the pasta special (cavatelli), which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the pomegranate jerk salmon served over potato salad; it was so delicious that I can’t stop thinking about it. Our server, Matt, was so nice, attentive, and knowledgeable about the food and the history of the inn. Our host, Derek, was very friendly. Mario, one of the owners, greeted us when we arrived, which was a nice touch. And we love that it’s BYOB. We’re already planning our return.
Just ate here for the first time, won't be the last. This place is amazing. From the food to the service to the ambiance. I would post pictures of the food but I ate it before I could remember to take a picture. The Potato Soup is out of this world. Biscuits and butter are off the charts. We had the Ribeye, Striped Bass and the Lamb. All of them "broke the mouth" as they say in Hawaii when some thing is too good to believe. Top it off with Strawberry Gatteaux and a Chocolate Parfait. We closed the place down! Quality all round! I almost forgot, Noelle who took care of us was spectacular!
Northridge is a secret treasure. This was one of the BEST dining experiences. We were treated to a mini tour by Mario before we took our seats; he is as charming as the property. Every single server was attentive, and Tracy was fun and personable. It's the small things here that make a big difference - the water glasses never went empty, servers checking on us without being invasive. The food was outstanding (late summer menu): scallop ceviche, potato soup, watermelon salad; ribeye, chicken, sea bass and salmon; and all of the desserts were perfect. A real 5 star experience.
Cozy atmosphere with creative and tasty menu. Especially loved our sever Noelle. She was so attentive and kind. Can’t wait to come back.
Wow—what an experience at Sunday Supper! This was my second time dining at Northridge, but my first time attending their Sunday Supper—and it absolutely blew me away. My expectations weren’t just met; they were completely exceeded. As a self-proclaimed picky eater, I’m usually cautious with menus. But this one was so thoughtfully curated, I genuinely wanted to try everything. So we did—our group ordered the entire spread, and it did not disappoint. The standout for me? The short rib mac and cheese. I order mac and cheese often when it’s on a menu, and this was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Flavorful and perfectly executed. A special shout-out to Noelle, who happened to be our server both times I’ve visited Northridge. She is consistently outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly warm. Her service really elevated the whole experience. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Very good experience. Food excellent, staff friendly and professional, owner made a point to visit each table to make sure everything perfect and to express his gratitude. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN. Rick & Tiziana, owners StarLinX Cyber Security / Buckingham.
Warm and inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly host and servers. Beautiful date night dinner place. I'm looking forward to going back to Northridge whenever I'm back in the area.
On one of the most majestic properties in Hunterdon County, lies a foodie heaven! We had dinner at Northridge and met the owners of this family-run, fine dining restaurant. Mario and Mary were fun, hospitable and definitely love what they do. The chef put out amazing, creative dishes: skirt steak with a phenomenal chili rub, salmon so perfectly cooked I felt the need to rethink my own fish cooking skills and other unique surprises like hummus on grilled carrot, truffled potato lobster soup (omg) and mini biscuits. The waiter was professional and engaging throughout the whole experience. This place is a must for anyone that enjoys top-notch dining in an amazing renovated barn. The sheep outside were a bit bashful (it was late into the evening) but cute! Thanks and see u again soon!
We had dinner after our marriage ceremony and I cannot convey how wonderful the service, ambiance and food were and how it was able to round out a truly perfect day. Between ourselves and guests we tried vegetarian options, seafood and covered most of the menu. Everything was absolute perfection. As the other reviews note, the food is absolutely above and beyond. I think my favorite part about the experience was the staff. Everyone was supportive, friendly and, like the food, provided an above-and-beyond experience. The service was second to none. Mario and Mary, as well as the entire staff spoke to us by name and made sure that nothing was out of place. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a real wood fire and fantastic acoustics, creating an intimate, inviting and warm dining experience. If I have a complaint, it's only that I don't live on Woolverton Rd... yet. I wish I could give you all 6-stars, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Excellent food - one of the best meals we’ve had this year. The lamb was perfection. We’ll be back. Also appreciated that Northridge was BYOB with no corkage fee.
Best meal I’ve had in a while. Excellent service and food was delicious. The wood fired lamb was close your eyes and chew good. Highly recommend.
The Northridge restaurant at Woolverton Inn offers a beautiful dining setting, both indoors and on the surrounding grounds. The décor and atmosphere create a special occasion feel right from the start. The food itself was truly delicious and well-prepared, but the pacing of the meal left room for improvement. Our experience stretched close to three hours, with about a 45-minute wait before our order was even taken. This may have been due to staffing challenges, but it did affect the overall flow of the evening. While the flavors shone, the portion sizes were surprisingly modest for the cost—even by modern diet-conscious standards. For example, the salmon entrée appeared to be under four ounces, which felt unexpectedly small for a main course at this level of dining. It’s worth noting that the restaurant is BYOB, though they do offer a small selection of wine bottles for purchase if you prefer not to bring your own. In summary, Northridge delivers on taste and ambiance but could improve by refining portion sizes and service pacing to match the otherwise high quality of the experience.
Whether you travel to stay at the Wolverton Inn or are nearby enough to simply eat at this brand-new restaurant that the property owners created a year ago, you simply must visit Northridge. Northridge is housed in the meticulously restored barn of the functioning farm, which features an amazing architectural addition with gorgeous beams, large windows, and an amazing two-story fireplace. The appointments create a cozy, sophisticated dining area and are straightforward but charming. And the dinner was delicious in every mouthful!
This was my first time visiting. The venue itself is beautiful and the fireplace while enjoying dinner elevates the experience. The potato/truffle soup was the best soup I have ever had! I wish they would sell it to-go and also provide a larger portion as the first entree. Overall, the portions felt a bit small for the fixed price of $70 for 3 courses, especially the first course. The short rib was delicious and the chocolate mousse was good, although my friend had the apple crisp and it seemed like the better choice. I will definitely be back to try the Spring menu. The only feedback that I have regarding the food is that both courses came to the table barely warm for our entire table. I was really expecting the soup to be hot. I understand that the kitchen is upstairs where it’s cooler, but there needs to be a solution to this as it affects the dining experience. Despite the food temperature, everything had amazing taste and quality.
Bread, sliced meats and cheese were good, but my sandwich was let down by old (yellowed and brown) shredded lettuce. Cookies were good! More bottled drink and chips choices would be better, but I would understand if there isn't enough room for the extra coolers/ shelving.
Beautiful restaurant and accommodating host. Dined there Saturday, November 29th at 7:00. Atmosphere beautiful. Soup fantastic, but salad, entrees and salad ok. Ordered a different cheese other than the blue cheese on salad. Caused some confusion at first, but waitress sent it back and new salad w goat was fair. Greens very leafy and nothing to write home about. Husband ordered cod, I ordered the eggplant and friend ordered salmon. I was excited to try their family eggplant recipe and 15 min later the waitress said that they were out and recommended the salmon. Both the cod and salmon ok, but we have had much better. For dessert, my husband and our friend ordered the chocolate mouse. They ran out of the cake and kitchen substituted a small hard pie shell. It was filled with a tiny bit of mouse. They both left the pie shell as it tasted like a store bought mini pie crust and not worth eating. Lastly, our friend ordered a cappuccino that was very good, but my husband was disappointing that they don’t offer decaf.
Waited very long for our table despite a reservation. Food was okay at best. The hummus and seafood to start were down right awful. Wanted to speak to Mario but he was awol most of the night. Wouldn’t return.
