This place has seriously ruined lattes for me. They're so freaking good that nowhere else compares! It's not just the lattes that are amazing here, the food is fantastic as well. The scones are made from scratch and the flavor combinations are always phenomenal. The staff is friendly and the owner, Jenna, is amazing. This place deserves 10 stars and a golden medal. I live in the Woodstock area, so I rarely go to Kingston these days. Which is unfortunate for my mouth, but probably extremely fortunate for my bank account. I'd die a happy woman if I had to survive on nothing but their products for the rest of my life. Oh, and the art! Jenna almost always has amazing art, by local artists, hanging in her coffee shop. (I'm pretty sure, but not positive, that you can usually purchase the artwork while there as well.)
I was recently in Kingston, attending a class at Ulster savings bank. Who is a class for first responders with trauma related from their job jobs. This place was amazing at supporting first responders. I’d like to just attach a photo or something that we’re trying to do to help first responders and I hope that you guys will post this on your page or share it with the community.
I discovered this small shop while visiting Kingston and what a glorious find! First off, the staff are very friendly! Second, the blackberry scones are out of this world! I had a fresh one and it was filled with blackberries, soft, and just straight up delicious! Third, the coffee is great. I really enjoyed my cortado. I’ll definitely stop here again when I’m in town
I was so happy to return here after a few years away from the area. Nothing has changed, still great coffee, customer servic, and atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and always looking to make you happy. We had a nice conversation. Highly recommended. Best coffee in the 845 and more.
Beautiful experience during the o+positive festival. Amazing latte, and apple cider with the live music during the fall was amazing.

Good eats, friendly staff and convenient hours.
Best cappuccino in the Hudson Valley! To-die-for good.
Great choices and fantastic made with serious care
Really great service and creative drinks.
Great old fashioned shop with very good coffee
Lovely place with excellent food and beverages!
I crave their lavender oat milk latte
This may be the best coffee I've ever had out!
Great iced coffee, good service, smiling faces (learn something,"Hipsters"), reasonable prices, and cool environment. What more could you ask for? 👍
Amazing staff! Amazing coffee! Amazing pastries and muffins. Love this place!
The best coffee in the world!! The personnel was awesome and fantastic scones. I'd totally go back!!!!!
It’s nice to walk into a business and be greeted by genuine people who love what they do, and provide coffee that reflects the same. Well done.
My #1 morning spot great coffee, great baked goods and the people are nothing but wonderful.
Nice locally owned coffee cafe. Great seating area and friendly atmosphere.
Fast, friendly service. They make their own chocolate and the iced mocha is outstanding.
My favorite coffee shop around! Try the Spicy Chicken wrap soooooo good!
Love this place! Espresso is consistently well done. Service is fantastic.
Very good coffee. Love the old building it's in 💕.
Their drinks are so good, I don't even want Starbucks anymore!
Muffins, Tea, Coffee. All top notch! Made in an antique furrier’s shop this place has it all!!!
Great coffee spot, so much better than the big chains.
Great staff! Knowledgeable and friendly! Yummy coffee too!
They have the BEST tasting coffee I've EVER had!
Homemade chocolate sauce, staff is really great. Fast service.
Always friendly, great drinks and a great place to get work done!
I'm a cappuccino snob. I've tried all spots in town. This is by far the best.
Love this place. Great coffee, atmosphere, and food.
Not just great coffee. Wraps, baked goods, paleo diet favs.
The most delicious chai latte 😋 Thanks, Jenna!
Lovely array of delicious treats, one better than the next!
This is hands down the best café or coffee shop I have ever been to. The service is perfect, they allow you to make any modification you want on your order. The food options are great for any diet. Lots of gluten free, lactose free, paleo and low carb offerings. The daily soup is usually a good bet. The coffee drinks are creative, especially the tea based drinks.
The coffee is DELICIOUS and Jenna is incredible. So happy we stopped in during our visit from NYC. We went every day that we were in town.
This is my favorite place in Kingston, NY to get lattes and coffee. I've tried every Cafe in the area, I go out of my way to get a caramel latte from here daily. Friendly staff, quick service, A+ coffee.
I stopped in one day for the first time and the vibe was great! It’s tough to get over there due to my work schedule but when I did, it was a great experience. The Coffee was great! Recommend it to anyone in the uptown area.
It's the best coffee shop.... hands down. Love that you guys make your own syrups for your coffee
Stopped there on our way to our travel destination for a cup of morning coffee. A simple coffee place with warm vibes, friendly staff and a refreshing cup of coffee. Really loved it
An absolute blessing in Uptown Kingston, UC has great coffee, the best scones, and a welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to my daily trips to UC for an afternoon caffeine fix!
I highly recommend their flavored iced lattes. They have a unique flavor profile that really sets them apart from a regular coffee shop.
The coffee is excellent, the owner and staff are even better. Anytime I go in there my day instantly gets better. Highly recommend.
One of my fav breakfast/lunch spots. Best coffee and the staff is always pleasant. Jenna and Donna are great!
Delicious coffee and drinks and best people. Congratulations on your new location! We love it🥂🙏🏻
Loving my Chia Latte and the chocolate chip cookie!! Would definitely recommend and go back!!
Love the coffee and atmosphere whole of the best lattes I have ever had put Starbucks to shame. Just visiting here from Cali but can't miss coming here
Didn’t realize it was hard to find espresso in uptown Kingston. Spicy hot latte had me coming back for more 🥵
Great Cafe. The Egg & cheese sandwich and cappuccino was excellent!
I frequent this beautiful little coffee shop weekly, and I am always greeted warmly and sent off with a delicious cup of energizing deliciousness and a smile. Great small bites and impeccable espresso craft!
Excellent coffee and amazing hot chocolate. The service is wonderful and my family and I have come here anytime. We will often stay and drink our beverages while talking for quite a while enjoying the atmosphere. It is a wonderful quaint little coffee shop. And I wish the world had more gems like this.
Stopped by one of my favorite places today for a cup of tea and some hot beverages for my staff. Jenna the owner brightened my day with some fresh chocolate chip cookies and a warm smile. I left remembering why I love Uptown Coffee and the awesome team of people over there.
No other place to go for a great latte! Staff is always kind, and they have really unique specials. I love seeing what they come up with each week. The TW is a great drink, it needs to be on the menu every day!
Far and away the best espresso in Kingston. Also the best breakfast sandwiches (I love the Uptown Funk with bacon and avocado). Staff is great. Ambiance is low key and casual and friendly (just what you want in a good coffee house). For espresso I put this place in the top five between Westchester and Albany.
Best coffee place in town.... owner is amazing does so much for our community. Always lovely conversation. And the special coffees of the season are amazing and unique.
The staff here are incredible. I'm not from the area and was having issues with my phone service and they were very nice and knowledgeable about why that might've been a thing. Also, squash in a breakfast burrito? Genius. It was fantastic. I had the Diablo. I highly recommend!!
UC is such a warm comfy coffee shop. Jenna always takes care of me whenever I stop in. My go to quick grabs would be their BLUEBERRY MUFFINS🫐🧁 & a cappuccino! Uptown Coffee does a monthly showing of wall art for local artist/photographers where you can showcase or sell your artwork on her walls! Not only is that fun to glance at while you wait for your food/coffee addiction but its a beautiful gesture to show someones art! Which she kindly did for me🌿 Support small local businesses, stop in Uptown Coffee🖤☕️
UC is a great local coffee shop. It has a fun look with a cool round room in the back that is inspiring, and their simple menu is perfection flawlessly executed without the fringe of other coffee joints. And the STAFF IS AMAZING. Down to earth, solid people in a quaint-yet-wonderful little cafe. This one, go here!
I went to the DMV right across the road (a pleasant experience, surprisingly). After my appointment I went to this coffee shop shop. I ordered an Americano with a Paleo breakfast bowl. The barista kindly told me they had no containers for the bowl but offered to make me a delicious breakfast sandwich. The coffee was delicious. Perfect temperature, strong yet smooth roast. The sandwich was bomb. Eggs were cooked over medium, avocado was nice and creamy (and salted!), cheese was melted, croissant was buttery. The whole sandwich felt light and homemade. The barista was super pleasant and enjoyed her craft. I asked her about the type of beans they buy and she was very informed.
Spontaneously decided to try their Funk Wrap, rather than buying a typical bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I have no regrets that I did so. It contains jalapeños which had me questioning my decision but wow that added such a nice kick and flavor to the whole ensemble. Thumbs up 👍🏼 As for coffee I tried out the Wall St Latte. Loved the hint of vanilla combined with cinnamon. I’ll be visiting again for sure.
I love this spot. The space is large & inviting, perfect for meeting friends or sitting solo with a cup of coffee & a book. There's a table full of Chronograms, flyers for local events, and cards for local businesses, art by local artists on the walls, and groups often meet here for small events and discussions. Needless to say, the coffee & chocolate chip cookies are excellent.
I am there every other day. It feels like my other home. Today I had another great salad and a mocha. The staff feels like family. They are all so hospitable and helpful. Sometimes I come in with a person who has mental challenges due to Lyme disease. They are kind and understanding. Thank you.
The beverages, service, and food are all spot-on. There’s plenty of room, seating, and a friendly atmosphere. That’s exactly what I expect from a coffee shop.
If you find yourself uptown you have to check this place out! The coffee is delicious and they always have yummy seasonal lattes. The chocolate chip cookies are the best I’ve ever had! The shop is spacious with lots of places to sit and enjoy your coffee and treats. Jenna, the owner, is super sweet and bakes everything herself. My favorite local coffee shop in the area :)
It was worth squeezing past the roadworks outside the Uptown Coffee shop, as we enjoyed the best espresso coffees so far in Kingston. The home made cinnamon scone was just right to accompany the coffees. There is an interesting selection of art work on display and for sale in the coffee shop providing a great backdrop. Service was friendly and helpful. Many thanks.
I had to quit drinking coffee a few years ago so I switched to chai tea lattes. I have tried every place in Kingston that offers chai tea lattes and this one is hands down the best one I’ve had by far. Jenna makes the concentrate herself. The baked goods are always so good. I’ve never tried the hot food but the pastries are delicious. Overall great place to go and meet for coffee or a snack with friends.

A great old fashioned real coffee house with good food and great coffee
It's a new space for a veteran business and they're still getting settled.
Nice and quite coffee shop located in an old bank. The original safe is still located in the bathroom.
An unpretentious, but attractive place with great coffee & tea & a relaxed/friendly atmosphere. The prices are based in reality as well, whereas some other local shops are a little full of themselves. Love this place.
coffee/tea and service was great, it's just kinda run down and dumpy in so many easily fixable ways. nothing major, but so much of a coffee shop is atmosphere and vibe and this really detracts from that. I'd still go back, though. Wi-Fi works great.
Stopped for a Macchiato to go, wished I had time to sit & sip but still got the vibe while enjoying on the go traditional crafted drink and a yummy cranwal muffin. Morning complete.
Stopped in to pass an hour. Two kinds of tea on offer: tokenism toward tea drinkers. Had a croissant, fresh, but yeasty more than buttery. Big space with 3 plants, plain furniture sparsely provided. Hard floor, walls and ceiling create a nonbiance. If all you're doing is staring into your screen this won't matter. Service was friendly. Music was inoffensive.

Cute little café but very pricey.
Food is very salty but the coffee is great!
Really very good coffee and morning muffins, scones etc. Bagels not so wonderful - find a better vendor. Could be a bit more friendly, customer service forward. A smile would help.
Maybe its COVID, maybe I was having an off day, but I wasn’t thoroughly impressed with this coffee shop. The man who served my coffee was a little gruff, and the wrap and coffee that I got were just subpar. A little disappointed when there’s so many other great coffee shops in Kingston.
The coffee was wrong (I asked for iced and they gave me hot) and it had way too much sugar in the latte
The coffee was not great, over extracted and milk over frothed sbux style. No pastry offering and the atmosphere is not curated
Ok....vegetarian but no vegan options although thry were accomodating. Not much table seating if you coming with a few people.
Quick service and efficient staffing. I will say that the secondary barista was speaking very loudly and the conversation was extremely intrusive. This did cause us to leave because we couldn't hear each other speaking over her raised voice and we were even in a different room, this seemed unprofessional. But the food and coffee were excellent.
I wanted to love this place as I'd rather support small businesses than a big chain. Maybe I'm just spoiled after living in Greenville, SC for a few years now and being surrounded by the best little coffee shops but this place just has small town "hey it's coffee and food 🤷♀️" vibes. If you're a blue-collar worker looking for a normal cup of coffee and something to put in your stomach, then great. If you're looking for a cozy coffee shop experience, this isn't it. No napkins anywhere? Oh, and I paid $15 for mediocre food and coffee. Bummer.
I love the atmosphere. It's a great coffee shop environment, and very spacious. My problem is the espresso. It's very biting and sour in the front, and weak in the back. I would rate the body as acceptable, but not great, and the aroma left something to be desired. That said, it's a great place to go alone or with a group, and the exposed brick is beautiful.

I usually get a latte but these days the quality has just gone downhill. I’m not sure if they changed their recipe or if it depends on the barista that day but I’ve been disappointed recently. Probably won’t come back especially if I’m spending $9 for something that’s not enjoyable.
The space is big but not very comfortable if you want to lounge. Also, why make lattes for over 4 bucks and serve them in paper cups if you're staying to drink it? Won't be back.
I didn’t want to judge the place based on its sparse interior and hoped the latte would impress. It did not. Not sure why people think they can charge $6.75 for gas station quality coffee.
Food is mid, service is great. They have cop stuff everywhere. They support the police like it's their primary goal and food is secondary. There were flies all over the baked goods. Which should be under some kind of glass to prevent that. BEC was mid.
A disappointing experience for Saturday breakfast. They were out of stock of many of the ingredients for the limited menu items. My partner ordered one of their “bowls” which ended up actually being a fried egg with a pile of cut up bacon and cut up sausage next to it in a large takeout container. The breakfast sandwich was okay (also served in a large takeout container for some reason) but only a step above a gas station breakfast sandwich. The kitchen was just a counter right behind the register and the garbage was over-flowing with takeout containers. The interior is clean but far more spacious than necessary which makes the seating area a little unusual. The saving grace was the latte which we enjoyed but overall it was not the cute cozy brunch experience we were hoping for.

9:30 Saturday morning - no pastry - need to wait for 20-30 min for new delivery
Don't order breakfast here. Unless you like microwave eggs and bacon bits. Drinks are alright
good service but out of everything :(
Can't make a decent tea latte to save their lives!! They skimp on tea leaves and don't let it steep at all before adding milk. The result is an overpriced, tasteless, weak drink. I've given them way too many second chances because of convenience, and I've NEVER gotten tea lattes as reliably terrible as this place. The second time I tried to get a London Fog here, I came back and asked them to remake it because it was so weak I could only taste vanilla and milk. Instead of being gracious about it, she claimed that their customers LIKE the tea lattes weak 🙄
Will never go again. Ordered two sandwiches, two coffees and two chocolate milks for the family. Kids HATED the chocolate milks (at $3 a piece) and my youngest threw my sandwich on the floor before I could take a bite. I understand that they're not obligated to make another however after spending nearly $25 on food and drinks you'd think they'd take pitty on us. Last visit. Go somewhere else if you have children
Not much going on here.... Poor service & bland atmosphere The drip was so awful I disposed of it @ Kingston Bar & Bread. NOT RECOMMENDED
Please post when you close early!! Sad to have missed your brew!
I walked into this place wanting to try something new. I sat down and was served my dolce latte and salad. I had to take photos because it was so pretty. I sipped my latte and ate my salad. It was actually pretty good. The coffee was nicely made. I was halfway through my salad when I looked down and saw a maggot crawling out of the greens...I felt my core temperature run up and though I was about to vomit I needed proof this was real. I quickly captured the little fly infant on video and then begged for someone to come take a look. The waitress Almost cried and took my plate..after what felt like forever I asked for water because I felt light headed. I then waited to see what would he done...nothing..i asked for my money..and left went back to work and had diarrhea for three days...i felt like they could of handled this better.I was hurt they didnt respond more empathetic.
I ordered a caramel latte with an extra shot and it was the most disgusting coffee ever. I've gotten this type from many other places and it's always been great; and I've gotten a regular caramel latte from Uptown Coffee and it was good, but this time it tasted awful. I'm not getting coffee from them again because it kind of made me feel sick to my stomach and I even added cinnamon and some sugar to change the taste but to no avail. I don't like to complain but right dollars is allot of money to throw away and I should have said something but like I said I don't like to complain. Plus I work in the food industry I know how it is and they were busy so I didn't want to be the one to make a scene.
