Came by for lunch on my way from MA to Portland and had a lovely time. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing dishes and really generous portions. I had the New England chowder and the grilled salmon, my cousin had cocktail shrimps and the baked lobster. I tried the cocktail shrimp as well and it was really good. I recommend and would come back whenever I'm in Maine!

This place was absolutely amazing. I got the daily special haddock rueben and everything on it just worked. Definitely my favorite rueben I've ever had. The fried clams were also really good, and I'm told the lobster roll was delicious as well. I definitely recommend getting the Maine cheese curds as an appetizer, you won't be disappointed. Past the food itself, the service itself was also extremely good and the restaurant had an really nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend trying this stop if you're in the area.

Delicious oysters, our favorite were the unicorn variety- they had a great selection to choose from. The lobster roll was delicious! Fresh lobster, nice soft bread! The clam chowder was divine! We ordered one bowl to share and then ordered a second bowl to each have our own. It was seasoned so perfectly. The waitress was so friendly, and very helpful in her recommendations. We had a delicious drink called Apple crush- so delicious and smooth! Great experience here, lovely New England atmosphere.

Went all in on the New England classic at Robert's Maine Grill in Kittery— lobster roll with mayo, a side of warm butter for dipping, & a few Bloody Marys to wash it down. Simple, rich, & perfect. Also pictured: the shrimp gambas & lobster cobb salad — both just as delicious as they look 🦞🍤

Robert’s is a place to visit when going to the Kittery/Portsmouth area. Stop by after some shopping or on your way to a weekend getaway, you are bound to get an amazing meal!!! Service is great, food is delicious and drinks are fantastic!! The Caesar salad Brussels sprouts and crab & avacado melt are absolutely must haves!!!! The Sipper & coconut margaritas are also must haves!!! Try this place!!!!!

Roberts is one of my must-visit spots whenever I’m in the area. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The view from the upper level is amazing, especially on a nice day. Some of my favorites are the raw oysters, lobster roll, lobster mac & cheese, and the fish & chips — all consistently delicious. It’s definitely worth the wait if there’s a crowd. The vibe is always great, relaxed and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! I can recommend this place without any hesitation. Really great food. The kitchen made a dairy adjustment without any problems. Service by "Carter" was excellent. We left it to him to pick out our oysters and we're not disappointed. I look forward to eating here again.

I did a little online digging for restaurants in Kittery with the highest reviews and I came across Roberts. I made a reservation for 630 because being Saturday night I assumed it would be busy. Thank God I did because after checking in to our table the poor lady behind me was told that it would be an hour and a half wait! Yikes! Before I get to the good stuff I will say that the ONLY negative thing about this place was the waiting. Once seated, it was 10 minutes before we had drinks, 30 minutes for the appetizer and an hour for our dinners. The waitress was very nice, but there was only so much that she could do. The kitchen was clearly backed up. Now that that's out of the way, EVERYTHING was worth the wait. The kids had pasta and a cheeseburger, my wife had the lobster risotto, and I ordered the ceviche and the stuffed lobster. After the first bites, the long wait time faded away and we were glad that we stuck it out. The raw bar was very impressive, the atmosphere was great and the food was awesome. 2 stars for the service is only because of the long wait times.

The wife wanted to have a Maine Lobster from Maine so we made it happen. The waitress, Savannah was extremely helpful with the menu and was great with the kids. I'm not sure we will be back in Maine but if we do return we will definitely make another stop here.

Fantastic setting. Great Lobster Rolls can be elusive but this one was solid. Ordered with butter only, no mayo. Fries were crispy, decent beer selection and great service. Setting is wonderful.

Great experience! We ordered the raw oysters, steamers, fried clam bellies, and stuffed lobster. Everything was delicious especially the clams. I didn’t love our cocktails — next time, will stick with a simple glass of Chardonnay.

Nice, clean restaurant. Lobster roll and lobster Cobb salad. Fresh ingredients. Drink menu was good. Excellent wait staff

Fiancé and I were in the area and we stopped in, craving some good seafood. We were not disappointed. Fiancé enjoyed his oysters and vegetable medley, and my blackened salmon scampi was very good, the salmon was delicious. We would come back if in the area again!

First time here. Got reservations for early dinner on Saturday. At 445pm there was plenty of seats available. Had the oysters and calamari for appetizers and they were delicious. For mains we got NY strip and Ribeye med rare with garlic herb butter. They were cooked to perfection. Added a crab cake and the breading and flavor were terrific and even had a small kick at the end. The Mac and cheese was worth fighting over. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Quick trip from NH

Had a great meal here at Robert’s in Kittery. Started off with an appetizer of fried calamari which was perfectly crispy and salted. For main course we had a lobster roll and fried scallops. Scallops weren’t as crispy as the calamari but the flavor made up for it. Highly recommend Robert’s for some seafood but look to spend a little bit of money while you’re there

Traveling from Tennessee all up to Acadia and decided to give Robert meat grill a try for lunch. We had the halibut with carrots and potatoes, lobster, mac & cheese, and a crab and avocado, grilled sandwich with green beans and other onion rings. For appetizers we had two crabcakes and cheese curds. Being our first time in Main, we also tried the blueberry soda. Brandie, our waitress was very kind and said we should also try it with a splash of pink lemonade in it which we liked even better, and we thought it was fun to check out anything blueberry during our short time here in Maine! The blueberry soda is a little bit bitter, and the lemonade helped it quite a bit. My daughter loved the mac & cheese-it is a top which makes it a little dryer and that's a personal preference type thing. My husband loved the crab and avocado sandwich, which was grilled to perfection and had two slices of Havarti cheese in addition to the crab and avocado. Super tasty and we would recommend this. It had a generous amount of an avocado and could be too much if you don't love avocado. The brown butter halibut was very good and the potatoes were excellent. I personally find the carrots were very undercoat and crunchy. It's also multicolored carrots and I thought the dark purple carrots were very bitter. Hands-down, all three of us agree our absolute favorites for the onion rings and cheese curds. The cheese curds seem to be hand breaded and made in house and they were excellent. They came with a marinara sauce as well. The onion rings might be the best I've ever had and that is one of my favorite foods. The onions were sweet And the beer batter was outstanding. The atmosphere was great and we could actually hear each other talk. The exterior of the building is really cool with a lighthouse as part of the façade. We made a reservation and we're seated immediately and had great service from Brandi. We were there at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Monday and they were busy but not overly crowded.

We live in Illinois and we're out east on a family vacation. We decided on Roberts for my parents 51st anniversary dinner and everything was delicious! Not picture was also the grilled salmon and the baked haddock. Everyone was extremely happy with our meals.

Loved this place! Great service, great ambiance and delicious food! The Seafood Newburg was the star of the day! We also had clam chowder and lobster risotto and the dessert was amazing :) we really enjoyed!

Had an out of town visitor who really was missing the new England Seafood experience so we headed over the border to Robert's. Started off with a Seafood tower consisting of oysters and shrimp. Great mix, very fresh and well laid out. Moved on to Seafood newburg Grilled scallops, and the Lobster risotto. All the dishes were served pretty quickly, hot and large portions. Well cooked and seasoned really hit that perfect spot of why we live in New England. Staff was great and the price was aligned with experience and quality.

Beautiful place with amazing seafood, full of rich flavors and fresh ingredients. Every dish is a delight! The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Visited Kittery many times but our first time at Robert's. We had food at their sister restaurants, Bob's Clam Hut and Maine Catch in Ogunquit, but we can safely say Robert's is the OG. Walking in, this place is spacious and comfortable. The food, in all honesty, is better than the Maine Catch. The Baked Clam is out of this world and this place knows how to deliver delicious seafood. We also had an excellent server who went above and beyond. She was dealing with a horribly unreasonable customer and she responded with more grace than the male Karen deserved.

I don't use the word Perfection very often, but it's reserved for places like this. The $9 Lobster slider has as much lobster as some full rolls you'll find. The portion of fish in the fish n chips is literally enough to feed 3 people. The Cole slaw is perfect. The fries and fish had this beer batter that was just cooked to perfection. Absolutely incredible!!

We went on a weeknight without a reservation. Luckily, they worked me in. The food was fabulous. Great food for a good price. I had the risotto.

This place is wonderful. Great views of the lake from every table and great food. I tried the crab avocado melt and it was fantastic. I was not a fan of the stuffed clams but that is probably based on personal preference. The waitress made it right and was able to give us a discount and I really appreciated that. The service was fantastic. If you're in the Kittery area I would highly recommend!

Robert’s has the best lobster roll I’ve ever had - lightly dressed with mayo on a perfectly grilled bun. I can’t wait to go back for another! The clam chowder was also really good - everything a chowder should be. The restaurant has a friendly staff, and the ambience features a clean and tasteful nautical flair. It’s the place to go for seafood if you’re near Kittery.

We have started stopping here every year on our drive up to Acadia. Beautiful scenery sitting out on the outdoor deck. The fried clams are excellent and they have a great oyster variety!

I had the lobster roll with mayo and my husband had the beer batter tenders with onion rings. The tenders were out of this world, the onion rings were by far the best we’ve had and the lobster roll was amazing!! Hats off to you guys for having some truly amazing food!!!

It was our first time dining here, and I can definitely say I will be back! For appetizers, we got the Brussels Sprouts and the Buffalo Cauliflower. Both appetizers were perfectly cooked and delicious! For our entrees, we got the Cajun Fish Fry (Haddock fried nuggets with fries) and the Jumbo Fried Seafood Charger (Shrimp, clams, haddock, scallops, onion rings, fries), along with a side of griddled corn bread. The entrees were unbelievable and great portions for what you’re paying for. The griddled corn bread was UNBELIEVABLE. It would’ve been good with some cinnamon butter but even then, it was delicious alone. Overall, if you’re in the area you should definitely try this place out! I will definitely be back soon!

My family and I tried out RMG as we had been to the Clam Shack also owned by them but not the Grille. It did not disappoint. We tried several appetizers and a couple entrees. I only captured a couple photos as some of the food was eaten so quickly it was so good. Our server Jessica, was polite, friendly, and had the right balance of attentive without being overly present. The ambiance inside and out simple yet beautiful. The food was delicious. Prices are comparable with what you would pay at any similar establishments. Parking is somewhat limited, but they do have reservations and with socially distant seating, parking was not truly an issue. The restaurant is conveniently located on Rte 1 near all the outlets and right off the highway. I would highly recommend for a family, a date, or just drinks and appetizers.

The food we ordered was excellent and although the main courses were of proper size, the clam chowder was an extremely small bowl - especially for the price. The wait staff were very attentive and well deserving of a good tip. The tables were not crammed together so diners had adequate privacy. I would recommend this place.

Robert's Maine Grill never ceases to amaze - both the food and service are top shelf! We usually plan a stop on our trips to Maine and are never disappointed. Of course, I have to start with the raw oysters as they are always fresh and delicious - if you're not sure about which ones to choose, the server's are always willing to help as they are very knowledgeable about the daily selection. I then had the fried scallops with onion rings (among the best I've ever had) while my wife truly enjoyed her Cobb Salad with fresh lobster. Robert's is truly worth the stop and the occasional wait.

Always delicious! I can’t remember ever having a bad meal. The fish & chips are always very flaky and crispy. Oysters, mussels, lobster- the seafood is so fresh. Great service and the views are nice if you can get a table with a view. Definitely book ahead.

Stopped in here and had an amazing meal. Service was great even though it was crowded and there were a couple of large parties in the restaurant . We had an assortment of dishes in our group and no complaints. There was not a lot of love for the vegetable medley . But that is the vegetables that are at fault. The Brussel sprout appetizer was very good and I am not big fan of Brussel sprouts. I will stop in again when I have the chance.

The food was fantastic. We had the chance to compare lobsters from MS and ME. Maine lobsters definitely were tastier as well as a better value. Other notable menu choices included the fried calamari and cornbread (in fact we had two helpings!). Finally the blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream was a perfect way to end the meal. The service was top notch. Would recommend making a reservation since they do a steady business all day (the factory outlets are nearby).I’m

Great menu options, food was hot and delicious, server was a pro and very friendly. Parking lot was full upon arrival and had to park in a snow bank at 6pm on a friday. Windows all around dining room was a constant light show of headlights, tail lights, and frustrated drivers trying to find a parking spot. We just pulled our shade down at the table and focused on the delicious food. Got a local tip to try the Fish n Chips and it was banger!

The maine fried cheese were really good starters if you like cheese curds. The accompanying sauce was slightly acidic to balance the richness of the cheese. We had the whole steamed lobster which was good and grilled scallops as our mains. The grilled scallops were rich and decadent in the corn cream sauce while the lobster was luscious especially dipped in butter.

M
M Pearman

Food was very good but I was a little disappointed in the fact that the scallops come with a divine sauce. It’s runny and can’t be eaten with a fork. They give you no spoon or bread to try to enjoy the sauce with. Of course you get some on the scallops but a lot was wasted I commented to the waitress that I wish they had bread or at least a spoon to enjoy the yummy sauce with. All she said was oh yeah the sauce is great. Then she picked up my plate and carried it away. (Sad face) lol. The blueberry pie was good but nothing wonderful. We had much better further north in Maine and much larger slices for the price. It’s definitely not bad though.

Great portion size Great flavor We had the Clams Linguine, Crab Cakes, New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Mac n Cheese, and Grilled Scallops. Service was good in the beginning and then not so great. Parking was not so easy.

🌊🦞 A true taste of Maine! If you’re looking for the freshest, most flavorful lobster around, this place delivers in every way. The lobster perfectly steamed, every bite was a reminder of why Maine is famous for its seafood. The staff was kind and attentive. Definitely a must-visit stop for locals and travelers alike!

Had dinner here on a Monday night and was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the service was great! Dawn was very helpful and even took the time to recommend other places that I’ll be visiting while here in the area! If you’re in Maine you need to have the lobster and that’s exactly what i did here! The food looked and tastes fresh, the plane was clean and everyone was very friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Robert's main grill. We were seated after a brief wait inside a clean, spacious and beautifully appointed dining room. We ordered the fried calamari which was crispy tender and came with a wonderful sauce as well as a fresh order of steamers that were delicious. Highly suggest you check out this location.

My friend made reservations for all of us to come here and I am glad he did! Even with the reservation, which we were on time for, we were told it would be a half hour wait. We were able to snag a table next to the bar 🍻 because we were told "First come, first 🥇 serve!". While waiting for another friend to arrive, we ordered the Beer 🍺 Battered Chicken 🐔 Tenders and they were really good 👍! You only get five though. I had the Haddock Reuben while my friends had the Lobster 🦞 Cobb Salad 🥗. Their salads were huge! I don't eat lobster but I was impressed with their salads.I thought 🤔 my sandwich 🥪 was small but it tasted good 👍. My friends tried to order regular 🍺 beers, Bud Light was one. They were told they only have local lagers. It was one of my friends first lager and he said it tasted strong. Service was great! I liked the color scheme of the inside for some reason. It seemed relaxing though the place was crowded. I am recommending this grill! I also recommend reservations and arrive a little early!

Best coleslaw I've ever had! Service and atmosphere were wonderful. I did think that the lobster roll was short on lobster. A bit expensive for the portion. It was very good though.

Highly recommend reservations (Resy). We've only been lucky once to get seated without one. Food is always delicious, and the beverages hit the spot. If you're local, you know this place. If you're passing through like us, plan for a day of outlet shopping and hit Roberts before heading out of town.

The place is located on this beautiful lake. I was lucky to get a window I could peer out and see it. The building is colder than expected - and loud! I was thinking it would be kinda quiet but it was bustling. I got the stuffed lobster and it was kinda cold when I got it, but tasty. The tail and the stuffing were the best parts... the claws of the lobster I thought were mushy and undercooked. I also got oysters with horseradish - they were fun. This was actually the first time I'd had a lobster with the feet still attached and my server was very kind to explain that you don't eat them. In hindsight, I think I would have gone somewhere else.

It was ok .. it's been one of my favorites in the area for a few years but this particular dinner was mediocre. Lobster sliders are no longer on the menu. Portions were smaller. The salad tasted like dirt ( i know, but it literally did ) The Clam chowder was more of a potato soup. Seems like cost cutting measures or a change in management, i don't know but we've gone here 4 to 6 times a summer for years and this last dinner was very disappointing.

B
Brandon James Ekvall

Honestly ever since they changed the menu this place just doesn't hit as good as it used to. They got rid of some best sellers and that's usually what I looked forward too especially the country fried chicken with the brown gravy and mashed potatoes. If anyone is in the area and misses that dish the roundabout diner in Portsmouth NH has a country fried chicken dinner that's equally as delicious and for a better price!

I'm going to start off by saying that this review is biased. I am not a seafood person, but all of my family quite enjoys seafood. We got together as a group of 9 to have lunch at this place. Thankfully we did have a reservation. They've been before and enjoyed it. The parking lot was absolutely full to the brim. They only have 2 handicap spots, which does not seem like enough for a restaurant of this type & size. Most of the parking lot is gravel, so I had to use one of them. The smell upon entering this restaurant is like being slapped in the face with fish. It was incredibly loud, just from the amount of customers and everyone chatting. I struggled to hear what the servers were saying, and my family at the same table. This restaurant was absolutely filled to bursting. Our server frequently took our glasses to refill them, because they had run out of glassware. We had to make multiple repeats of requests for things like bread, silverware, refills, and condiments. I ordered a basic cheeseburger & fries. It was mediocre, a bit closer to well done than the medium I requested. Fries were fine. For $17, I was a bit let down. One of my family members got a Cobb salad with lobster on it, for almost $50. She said it was good, but smaller than her last visit. The table also ordered 2 buckets of mussels to share. Those were enjoyed, with a couple people saying the broth was extra salty. The special haddock rueben sandwich was ordered by 3 people who all liked it. A buttermilk fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes & gravy got rave reviews from a teenager. The fish & chips has previously not been a winner here. We had blueberry pie, and blueberry cake with lemon marscapone filling for dessert. The pie was okay, very thick, with a bland crust. The cake was moist & dense, and was the best thing I had, other than a local hard cider that was on tap.

Mark D

The waitress was really nice and we ordered a couple of drinks, my partners Glass was noticeably dirty so I had to return the drink. The people next-door to us got these great lobster rolls and it enticed my partner to get a lobster roll. Hers must’ve been a leftover or something because it was half the size. I think I still paid the $33 but definitely not worth it.
