I come here often for breakfast tacos. The manager quickly remembers me, greets me each time, and goes to grab my order. He is extremely kind and gives phenomenal customer service. The tacos are always good and I think they're priced fairly. I will definitely continue coming here.
Having breakfast, lunch or dinner at Casa Maria is always the best experience, and , let’s talk about their MARGARITAS !! They make really good mango margaritas with tajin and chamoy! The atmosphere is awesome and they are always so welcoming. I recommend this place 100% :)
Always get out breakfast tacos here. The staff are always very nice. They have excellent tacos and food plates, and red and green sauces. Love this place.
It was a lovely atmosphere-well air conditioned (I needed a sweater-my usual). The ckn fajita quesadilla was very flavorful as were the rice and beans. My husband’s steak the way he likes it. The waitress was very courteous and talked me into a Paloma…delicious. We were just traveling through, but we will be back.💕😬
New-ish to the area and this has been my place for breakfast on weekends. Relaxed atmosphere, good food and not too pricey. Friendly staff!
Always so friendly, my husband and I have been coming here for years now and the staff is awesome. Al pastor is our favorite and Savannah is always so sweet and personable!
We had dinner here, and it was great. The server was very attentive and friendly, she recommended us several things and took good care of us. The Tacos al Pastor are excellent. We also had a slice of the mocha cake, which was fantastic.
Small little gem. More authentic Mexican food here. And good too. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. Prices were reasonable. Garcia restaurants are good but just like any other Mexican restaurant, just commercial and typical food. This place is better. Just one complaint, the place was cold lol.
Casa Maria can always be counted on for friendly and quick service, whether you go through the convenient drive through or dine in. The food is a good value for the money and is always fresh. Portions are generous. My go to meal is the fajitas. The veggie fajitas are unique and delicious. They also have great breakfast!! Always ask for their green salsa. It is spicy and creamy. Service is always with a smile.
It’s always great when we visit Casa Maria! Service is always excellent. My favorite plate is the Tacos Del Mar de La Plancha! Gotta try them!!!
We have been clients at Casa Maria for years. We love the service they provide, specially Matty. Love CASA MARIA!! 🩷
My client’s favorite “Wednesday Lunch Special” spot. Super fast service and good food. Mixed steak and chicken fajitas! Awesome!
Long time fan of Casa Maria's I previously lived in Austin for over 30 years and whenever on the South side I made it a point to go to Casa Maria's for breakfast or lunch whatever may be and of course have some of their delicious pastries oh yes they have an attached bakery on-site made fresh daily now that I live in New Braunfels Texas the Casa Maria's in Kyle Texas is messed up if not traveling through before their business hours today was my lucky day and I had that opportunity and had the pleasure of being served by a veteran of the trade this man by the name of Eric was literally doing it all attending customers at the bakery and the drive-thru you got it they have a drive-thru and waiting on customer with a smile and stellar professionalism. Thanks for a great experience Eric 👍👍💯💪
Just finished here and I am beyond amazed with the food and service. Got here starving now leaving filled to the brim. I absolutely loved everything from this experience!!! Highly recommend!!!!! 10/10
I don’t normally venture out of Austin for food but this was definitely worth the drive. Came here on Friday night. It was very busy but didn’t have to wait long for a table, plus the bar/waiting area was large and the drinks were great. I recommend their Mexican Martinis! But they also have a good flavor variety for the margaritas. Once seated our server was excellent and very attentive. The food was delicious and came out rather quick. I ordered the pork in green sauce. I only wish I had several plates because it was so good. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Yummy and authentic!! I always love coming here with my family. The pan dulce from their bakery is my absolute favorite! I recommend the polvorones and pan dulce!
Very good food & drinks! Marcelo the bartender knows how to make good drinks & engages in conversation. Don’t let the outside fool you they open & very good!!! Try them, it won’t disappoint.
Food is great. Fajitas are tender, rice is cooked saucy and not dried out. Beans are actually real beans not canned like most Mexican restaurants around the area. They have good cooks, hopefully it will remain that way. Everyone is so nice, great atmosphere here. Only one fault, their sweet bread is tasty when fresh, BUT a lot of time it’s old and SUPER hard or burned. Need new baker.
Maty was and is always amazing everytime that we eat there! Food is very tasteful and we always get a great size portion of food! I will highly recommend anyone that's thinking about this place to go ahead and try it!!! Once you're there, ASK FOR MATY!!!
Oh my goodness, this is my first time back inside since they reopened the inside dining and it's GORGEOUS in here!!! Very clean, tables arranged with a nice amount of space and whole new seating areas. My food was great (but it's always been good) and they have a new ordering system that I've seen other restaurants in the area use. I'm looking forward to coming back with my friends.
I go in very early for breakfast. Always greeted and made welcome by anyone here. The service is above average and the food is always good. The drinks are consistently good also. I'm so satisfied with breakfast one day I need to try lunch or dinner.
Excellent service from the moment you walk in the door. The food & margaritas are delicious. Sadly we witnessed 2 very RUDE Customers, Eric went above and beyond to accommodate them. He was very Professional considering how awful they were. I'm a Houston Resident & will make a visit to Casa Maria every trip here to see my daughter.
Overall experience at Casa Maria's was INCREDIBLE! 10/10. The food, the portions, the service, the atmosphere were all great. Probably one of the best meals I've had in months. Went with a couple friends and we had a great time -- we all agreed that was some of the best mexican/tex mex food we've had. The bakery items were crazy good, if you go here you've gotta pick some up on the way out! Can't wait to go back. Shoutout to Marcelo for the top notch service.
We chose Casa Maria for a large family dinner on the eve of our son’s graduation. They have always had amazing food & they knocked it out of the park with their service. 25 guests, not a single order was wrong or drink ever empty. The Manager was very accommodating when we made our reservation. Plus Diego & the rest of the staff were just wonderful! I’d recommend them 1000 times over.
The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and attentive. My favorite dish for lunch and dinner is the carne guisada but I also really enjoy the breakfast tacos. The bakery items are also SO good! I love the cookies and pan dulce. They’re made using original recipes for many years.
I was a little leary because of the reviews but we figured we would try it anyways and it was so good!! The enchiladas were nice and flavorful and the pastor was delicious! The salsa was very good too. Service was outstanding! The waitresses checked on us frequently and making sure our chips, salsa, and drinks were never empty. We will definitely be eating here regularly.
I prefer this location over their San Marcos location because the menu is larger. Excellent food at reasonable prices and attentive service.
Casa Maria was recommended to us by some friends that had recently stopped in Kyle Texas during a vacation trip. We are avid travelers and consider ourselves experts of international cuisine, especially Mexican food. Not only was the food authentic but the service was personable and attentive to our needs. We even met one of the owners (really nice lady Isela) There was a wide variety of food on the menu and the full bar did not disappoint. They even had freshly baked sweet breads. We highly recommend Casa Maria. Authentic friendly and priced well.
Quesadillas has ample meat and very tasty, enchiladas weren’t our favorite but the tacos were delicious! Service was a little slow (Coke came out same time as food). It everyone was very nice. I’ll come again:-)
Delicious breakfast tacos. They use real cheddar!! Salsa is fantastic (sometimes its crazy hot but I'm a wuss with spice).
We've been coming here for years and love it. The owners know my hubby and are so sweet. We love the breakfast tacos, barbacoa, and the fajitas to name a few. Their salsa is perfect. We recently tried their bloody Mary and really liked it, just the right amount of spice. Thank you Casa Maria!
We have visited Casa Marie for years. I often hear and see the owner taking orders which shows his dedication to the business. I rarely see owners interacting with their staff on a personal level - this is very heartwarming. My kids never turn down a nice authentic meal from here. We love to see them thriving right here in Kyle, Texas! One of my favorite shirts is a Casa Marie's shirt of course it has pink!
Always the best sweet bread! Delicious tacos! Amazing drinks and aesthetically pleasing walls for family photos. Definitely a great place to spend an evening or a brunch with the ladies!
We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday on a Thursday night and everything - food, drinks & service were amazing!! Our side of the table ordered the lengua plate, enchiladas plate, quesadillas & I believe the al pastor tacos? Everything was so juicy, flavorful, and greatly priced!! (A rare find these days!) The server was very kind and accommodating and allowed me to mix & match & get mole + ranchero sauce for my enchiladas which were one of the best enchiladas I've ever had! I had a bite of my boyfriend's quesadillas & as you can tell, he practically inhaled his food because it was so good! The frozen mango margaritas were also perfectly strong & delicious! I highly recommend checking this place out!

So far so good, we just moved in to Kyle and I can't complain! Food it's good and not expensive! I Ximena has served us and she's super nice and very sharp
Easy access right off I35 south. and parking. Brand new furniture. Huge margaritas! And awesome green enchiladas. Convenient hours and not crowded. Will return.
I loved the breakfast tacos! I rolled up to the drive thru and was ready to eat and excited that a local spot even had a drive thru.\n\nI don't have a lot of breakfast taco experience but I tho…
Amazing food and service. Bar Drinks are great as well. The ambiance is calm and good for family dining. Will definitely come back !
Best Mexican food here in Kyle! Love that they serve breakfast all day long and you forget about the amazing Bakery they have .

Service was outstanding! Professional, efficient, friendly with a smile! Our server, Mati, was extremely friendly with a wonderful smile, making our dinning experience truly a memorable one! BTW, ranchero sauce was the best I have had! And I have had the best!
The food is always great, the service could use some improvements. She came by a few times to check on us, but needs to look around at other tables to see if someone needs something. I tried to get her attention a couple of times, but she never looked my way. This was unusual, I usually get decent service. Great restaurant and fair prices. I used to stop by for breakfast tacos on the way to work, but I moved out of the area. I try to go eat there when I get back to Kyle.
Love the service! You order off your phone if you want or at the counter. The portions looked small but were very fulling! Food was good! The drinks are good too! If you want good breakfast and don’t want to wait for ever I would recommend!
It was my first time there. Food was really good even though the Chile relleno was pretty small. Good flavor, though. Margarita was pretty weak, but drinkable. Their salsa was delicious...pretty spicy! They had a good variety of pastry. Will go back again!
Had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Not crowded at all. Have the QR codes on table to use phone for menu, ordering and payment. Wife had veggie fajitas and I had steak quesadilla. We enjoyed the food. Not great food but still really good. Had a couple at table beside us that told us they also enjoyed their food. We will definitely go back.
The customer service here is on point. Our server paid very good attention to us and made recommendations. I had the pastor plate..super tender. The queso (yellow) is a 4 out of 5 stars, the chips are perfect. I would consider this perfect for a date night or official get together because of the ambience and the pricing of the menu items is a bit higher than other Mexican restaurants. I did not try any of their drinks but overall I was happy to try this place and would go back.
Went for a lunch date with my grandma! We shared a chicken/steak fajita plate for two. We also enjoyed a cookie from the bakery. The restaurant is really pretty, and our server was great. My only reason for not rating 5 ⭐️ is their fajita served dark meat chicken. I much prefer chicken breast:) other than that, everything was great.
The food is easily my favorite in town. The entire family always enjoys their meals here. I'm not a huge fan of ordering via qr code, but it works given the difficulty finding staff these days. All in all, we love this place.
I had their lengua plate along with a large margarita for my Bad Bunny lotería card. The food was much better than the last time I went. The service has improved as the last time I went you had to order thru a qr code and barely any person to person service.
The food was great, prices are a bit expensive, but the service from the lady was bad, she didn't bring the complimentary chips or salsa until we requested, she wasnt paying attention when we were ordering, she was just bad
This restaurant has dine in, a drive-thru and a bakery section near the dine in area. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There are 3 large seating sections inside that have high top tables, regular tables and extra large booth areas for large parties. Over all the food was delicious. The salsa was on point. I didn't even need to add salt to it. I ordered migas and the only thing that I didn't care for were the plain potatoes. Everyone has different taste buds so no biggie since the migas themselves were awesome! The lingua plate is spicy but overall enjoyable. Service was prompt and polite from everyone who checked on us. We ordered 2 sweet teas, an appetizer, 2 plates and the bill came out to $54. Very reasonable!
The smallest portions SO expensive! Some food is good some not. Loved the flan but prices compared to portion is a NO for me!
Delicious spicy food. We really enjoyed the service, ambience and the food. Plenty of sitting outside. Lots of parking. Plenty of drink selection available. Well located right by interstate 35 and Ky…
I really liked the waitresses they were very nice and accommodating. I guess I just ordered the wrong dish that day. I ordered steak and eggs. The steak seemed to be freezer burnt and flavorless and half of it was all fat. Luckily they had good salsa to cover the taste. Everything else was good though but I won't be ordering steak and eggs again. Maybe chorizo and eggs or anything else, my daughter's food was great. Also the music was way too loud for the morning I couldn't even talk to my sister or daughter until I asked them to lower the volume a little and they did. Like I said they were very nice! I will go again for lunch and I'm sure it will be much better.
Way over priced. Ordered enchiladas espinacas, added the tiny shrimp. $17.25 + $5.00 each plate. Staff was friendly but could not get our order right.
I ordered take out fajitas with some sides and you could tell the fajitas weren’t fresh .Seemed like the where from the day before or early in the day put back on the grill to heat em up .Most of the pieces where chewy if not burnt. The side’s for example avocado was Turing black already , was just a hot mess plate !
I’ve gone twice. Both times the food was hot when served, beautifully presented, portions are plenty. Flour tortillas-yummy. Food was good-a tad salty, the taste is not out of this world. We happened to come on a Sunday and due to people celebrating Father’s Day, they had a live singer. So, that was a nice treat! They have a bakery inside with traditional Mexican bread and a drive through that I have not tried.
The staff was nice. We were a big group so I know it might have been a little overwhelming. It took them awhile to give up chips and salsa and the salsa wasn't the best. When made me give them 3 stars was because no one took our kids food order. There was two people helping the drink orders at first the girl took our kids 7,8 and three 9 year old drink orders. Then the guy took our drink orders. The guy was taking our food order and I asked if someone took our kids order and he said let me ask. He went to the kids and ask them...smh.. I was expecting him to look it up or talk to the other girl to make sure and not ask the kids. Our kids told him yes. Mind you this is the second time we asked him. My sister in law asked and she said I asked them and they said they ordered. She was a little tipsy and told him no did you ask an adult not a child. My brother got on to her about that but I know what she was trying to say and it was a little irritating. Our food started to come out and that's when we asked again. He finally came back and looked and said they did not order. So all the adults and teenagers got their food before the little kids. I got the taquitos and they put way too much herb in them. I didn't like it at all.
Overall nothing was bad and service was friendly. I wish the shrimp in the cocktail were bigger. Meat was cooked properly but came up short on flavor. The cheese and chorizo appetizer could shrink the cheese portion by half and double the chorizo. Just too little chorizo for all that cheese.
Food was good, at drive thru. Inside the restaurant, the waitress with fake pink bedazzled nails informed us that they did not serve tacos in the restaurant. She said they did not sell individual tacos, only plates that some times included a taco. We left as we did not want a meal. We saw there was a drive thru. My daughter decided to go to the drive thru to see what was on the menu as it seemed ludicrous that a restaurant would not sell tacos. There on the menu, tacos. Same restaurant. Does management know their employee is turning people away inside the establishment??? We ordered over $20 worth of tacos and drove away. We will not go inside again, just go to drive through.
Came here for lunch. They say they have lunch specials, but they only offer one dish as a lunch special. The enchiladas were ok but the crispy taco shells are stale and obviously come from a box. Not worth coming back. They also nickel and dime you- 1.50 for Serrano peppers on the tacos:(
Our waiter was a young man. We sat down n waited n waited for chips never got them. We asked still never got them We had to ask for refills and we had to call him to say we r ready to order. It was like he was knew didn't know what to do. There wasn't many people so he wasn't busy. We never got a smile n we were never offered chips we were never greated like we should as customers but we still gave more then deserve tip then he smiled. Food was fast n it was good...
I am blown away that this is the same ownership as the one in San Marcos. I love that restaurant and I am disappointed by everything at this location. The margarita is worse, the "vegetarian fajitas" came out with refried beans instead of black beans, and the flavor was plain with bad presentation. So much worse than the San Marcos location. We will not be back to Kyle.
Food was nothing special, didn't receive the drinks I ordered. The waitress hardly came by the booth. She tried to give the drinks to go. Definitely will not be stopping again.
Avoid. I’ve been to the San Marcos location many times and assumed this would be comparable. Big mistake. They brought the wrong food for three out of five plates. They kept forgetting to bring our drinks or brought the wrong drinks. A roach was crawling around our feet at one point and the food wasn’t good. They said the tortillas were homemade but they didn’t taste like it. The guacamole also tasted like it came out of a container. Avoid. Will not be back.
The only good thing on the menu is the salsa and it's really really good. Don't dare try to get veggie fajitas. You'll get a cold mush of carrots, potatoes and a few kernels of corn, not fajita peppers like you'd assume.
Less than impressed. Restaurant was dirty, vents haven't been cleaned in years from the looks of it. The food was... Okay. Not much flavor and overpriced. Did I mention OVERPRICED!?! Mexican food should never be $100. Especially sub-par Mexican food. Our server was ... Just okay. She didn't know what Jarritos was... So... She was nice. We just weren't impressed. Skip it. Go to Vaqueros!
I’ve been to the casa Maria in San Marcos before and have always had a server and a great experience. The one in Kyle was very different, we were told to order our phone on our phones and they would simply bring it to us, when we asked if we could just order with a person to make it easier they had an attitude. Towards the end of the meal after trying to get something more to drink I was looked at and ignored.
I had always like Casa Maria's in Kyle, people were always friendly and was glad to see they survived the closure of in-house business during covid. I was out and about today, decided to stop by for some food, so ordered one of my favs - tacos al pastor. The meat was salty, not even sure why they added salt as the flavor of the seasoning for al pastor is all that's needed, then I get the itemized bill. They charged for cilantro & onions???? That's like charging for the bun when you order a burger, its an essential part of al pastor tacos NOT an extra. Rather than be rude to the nice young lady who was taking care of me, I paid my bill + tip and said goodbye to Casa Maria.
What happened? This place WAS great. Maybe new owners. Definitely new menu and staff. Couldn’t get our simple order right, we couldn’t get chips and salsa. They kept making excuses that they were busy ( total of 6 tables) Everyone blaming the next. Drinks were awful and food was blah. What a shame. We were regulars
So this is a place you need to use your phone to order, a little annoying because wanted tacos but the phone or physical menu doesn't have them. Its 1030am and wanted a breakfast taco. Also they charge for chips and salsa before 11am in case thats something you want in the morning. So we asked the waitress to help order and she was nice to help us, but had to ask if we could order barbacoa tacos. The barbacoa tasted ok but it was more of a shredded beef than actual cheek meat. The menudo was a little spicy, had more pozole than meat and at $16 for one bowl, not to impressed. Other places were better and cheaper. The good thing was the green salsa. 2 menudos 3 tacos 3 teas was $60.
My daughter and I went there for lunch. We got the fajitas for two. I am not sure what they season their refried beans with but they were some of the worst I have ever tried. The rice was greasy. They only gave a pinch of shredded cheese and approximately one tablespoon of pico gallo. We asked for some additional pico and was charged $1.50 extra. Guacamole was a medium scoop size on a tiny bed of lettuce. They only gave us four tortillas and if we wanted extra there would be an extra charge. They don't serve fountain cokes so if you want a refill you have to pay extra. The salsa was good but in a very "shallow" bowl, the chips were also in a "small" basket. The fajitas were only ok. The service could have been much better as there were few customers there at that time. They charge state tax, city tax, and county tax. We won't be eating there again.
New to the area and starving after the work day, so we decided to try this place. We eat low carb, so went into it knowing we'd have to skip rice, beans, tortillas, potato. Most places allow me to sub extra salad, but I was told there would be an upcharge so I said to skip the extra. Shrimp cocktail had the tiniest shrimp ever, but otherwise tasted good. Queso was a sea of chewy white cheese with a miniscule amount of chorizo on top. The chorizo had good flavor, though. Steak and pork chop were very bland. "Salad" was plain lettuce and tomato with a couple avocado slices and no dressing of any kind. She said she was able to give me extra salad, but it was really just a bit extra lettuce. I ended up pouring some of the shrimp cocktail juice over the top for a little flavor. And the kicker is they charged $.35 extra x3 for queso appetizer and both meals because we asked for no tortillas. 🤨 Server was pleasant and attentive, staff was friendly upon entry and exit which is why I added a star, but we paid $112 for 2 people to have exceedingly mediocre food with an iced tea. Didn't even have hot sauce on the table. With the number of Mexican restaurant options around, they need to do better in the food department, unfortunately.
Friday March 21, 2025 5:15 pm. Cons: Super bland. Salsa, needed salt, refried beans, needed salt, enchilada sauce, needed salt. Flautas mushy and unseasoned. Guacamole, needed salt. Rice was barely warm. Charro beans had flavor!....but were too spicy. Sodas were from a can. The wife and I tried each other's food because we were in disbelief at how bad the food was. Maybe we got here too early? We were the only ones inside, so maybe we caught them off guard? Weird vibe for sure. Pros: Cold AC! Not crowded. Very clean. Had to ask for chips and salsa...maybe they were busy with the drive thru? Really came in wanting to like it because their bakery looked delicious, but after our meal we aren't even wanting to risk unseasoned pan dulce. Well, as the saying goes, "Don't eat where the people aren't." Also 2 enchilada plate is 13 dollars, (pic) but 3 enchilada plate is 17? Math isn't mathing. Flautas were 17. (Pic) Unfortunate.
First time at this restaurant. Every place I’ve ever been, in my life, where you’ve ordered a beef fajita it comes out on a sizzling hot pan. But you seen in the picture is what we were served. When we asked the waitress, why the table next to us got their fajita served in a hot pan we were told was because they ordered the fajitas for two. nowhere is this made clear so one would just logically assume that you’re gonna get your fajita meat served hot. The meat which we did get wasn’t seasoned at all, maybe some salt. When we were making our complaint, I expected that at least the waitress would ask if we cared for something else or maybe just take it off the check completely and take it back. No such offer was made. She just answered my question and walked away. By the way, we never saw that waitress again. Before the meal we started with chips and queso and again you would expect the queso would have some seasoning to it. This tasted like a block of melted Velveeta cheese. The only reason it’s getting two stars instead of one is I did enjoy my margarita and the chicken quesadilla was “average”. OH! I’m not sure who painted the lines for the parking lot and put up the signage, but if you go in the area marked entrance, it’s actually the exit. The parking spots are pointed in the opposite direction.

last year we went to eat there and service was very bad, this year we went back to see if nay better and was worst. We regret going there, No one was there either.
This used to be my favorite place to go. They now have no waiters and done by QR code for menu and ordering. 3 times they cake to our table with someone else's food, 1 person at our table got their food all late so he just watched everyone eat then we watched him eat when it finally came, had to get up and ask for lemon 4 times, had to get up and ask for a refill. And you would think since they no longer have waiters, prices might be at least the same, seems like prices still went up. Don't think I will be back.
Wr tried to dine in for brunch my 2 yr old grand daughter wanted a breakfast taco they don't serve them in side at 12:30pm they offered a crunchy taco I told them she was only two and not used to crunchy tacos. I could get a breakfast taco at the drive-thru but not inside. Same kitchen same cook why not. Quote "that's the rule" was their only excuse. We'll they lost out on about $35.00 worth of business today and we have no I tensions of going back
Never going again. The menu is confusing. The waitperson was rude and kept placing her hand in front of me. The food was not the best at all.
I live in a group home and once a month we go out to eat Mexican food. The first time we went to Maria's the server had great difficulty taking our order because apparently it was a new computer system that they carried in their pocket. So this month we went to Maria's again and got the same server she's as sweet little girl but she cannot operate that computer. It took a great length of time to get our orders inputted and then I watched her have to go to another computer and input it there as we got our appetizers our food was served to us cold refried beans were cold on both plates that had them. When she asked whether I was paying cash or card I told her card which is an unusual question you usually just get the check. So she wanted my car and I hadn't even seen a bill yet she showed me the total and we were slightly over and no one drank. She asked if I wanted to print out and I said I did. The blind gentleman of our party ordered three flautas and we were charged 1699 for three flautas. She rang it up as a plate with nothing on it no rice no beans no garvocado just three flautas $16.99. and beware a single glass of unsweet tea was 350. So I asked to speak to the manager The manager came out and said it was our fault that we did not complain when the food got to the table. It was the server's fault that flautas cannot be served as a entree only a plate and we should have had an explanation on that one. I mean we've got the beans and rice and whatever else came on it taking it home and eating it for paying for it. So the food was very good the first time not so much this time. As I told the manager that we would not be back he seemed to be okay with that and just walked away from me. I don't generally write reviews because I just really don't have that many problems that occurs but eater beware. I guess people just don't care anymore I don't understand it there was no attempt to satisfy the customer. I guess they were just too busy to care
If I could post 0 stars, I would. Bunch of shady crooks here. I ordered online not realizing there were rampant Internet issues for restaurants since I don't have spectrum. The order didn't go through even though I paid for it. I tried calling and contacting the restaurant and the phones weren't working. I tried contacting ToastTab for help and the restaurant blatantly lied and said I picked up the order, which I obviously didn't. When I submitted screenshots of the email I received about order issues, ToastTab then let me know they were ghosted by the management here and haven't heard back. Looks like I'm not getting my refund or food. Don't bother with these thieves. The food is just alright anyways.
Service was slow. Tho there were no customers. I only saw two tables. Us being the Third. Food not really Mexican upgraded Taco Cabana style food. Not impressed one bit with this Restaurant.
Service was Horrible! Waiter never came back to check on us after the food was delivered, never came back with items we asked for , didn’t give is the right tortillas we ordered and never came back to refill our drinks. We had to get up to ask for refills while the waiter was elsewhere talking and not checking in on us. We had horrible service before and decided to give them another chance. We won’t go back.
We came here on Mother’s Day. We use to love this place. Seems like since Covid it hasn’t bounced back . Service was lacking. We had to ask for chips and salsa and drink refills. Food is always ok and after we all got sick . Only thing we all ate was salsa / queso. Last time coming here for sure. We will stick to the casa Maria’s in San Marcos .
Do not waste your money here. We went for breakfast at 8 am, ordered 2 plates and the bacon was obviously from the day before. It was VERY dry and burnt. The ranchero sauce isn’t good, eggs were blah and overall, for the quality of food, its extremely overpriced. We will stick to spicy bite
Came in with a party. The place was pretty dead for a Saturday night. The host took my drink order but I waited 15 minutes for my drinks to come out. I placed an appetizer order of queso. It came out very slow. I was also never given a menu, silverware, or napkins. Our party had to ask for chips and salsa 30-45 mins after being seated. The queso was NOT good. Tasted like they just melted velveeta cheese and threw some tomatoes on top. As I was eating the appetizer, the hosts were taking the other party members’ orders. They skipped me entirely, as I was seated at the end. I took it as a sign not to get any food which I’m glad I didn’t. Our party asked for appetizer plates and they stated they didn’t have any…red flag. I was never offered a refill for my drink or if I needed anything else. Overall terrible experience and food was not good. Will not be returning.
We visited your restaurant again hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The red mole was extremely sweet and not enjoyable, and the chilaquiles my mother ordered didn’t taste good either. We gave the place a second chance, but the quality was not what we expected.
The waiters are very slow; they don’t come back to the table to refill the coffee. The food isn’t bad, but it could be better. I ordered huevos rancheros, and the sauce was very acidic — same with the chilaquiles.
I had the worst time at breakfast and it's the last time we will come. The service was slow, the food was cold, and the coffee tasted burnt. I was really looking forward to this breakfast, but it was a complete disappointment. I don't think I will ever be able to forget this terrible experience. It's a shame because I used to enjoy coming here. To get my barbacoa tacos, they say they don't have, I get to the front and orden to go and they had so I purchased and went to the table, they telling me next time don't do i don't seem any signs say anything about that But after today, I don't think I can bring myself to come back. It's just not worth it.
We bought soups and they were so hot they melted through the containers. They accused us of breaking it. Their service recovery was awful to the point we don't want to return. Which is unfortunate as the food is normally on point. One bad employee can destroy service. She stated she was the manager. 90$ purchase cost them a long term family of customers.
Went to Casa Maria this week for the first time, for the last time. (Thursday evening, dinner) We entered through the bakery doors so as to walk by the long glass bakery case which is filled with an assortment of delicious looking baked goods. This had me stoked. And then we made it to the host stand. We were sat right away, since the place was mostly empty. We were taken to a booth on the exterior wall, with a view to the outdoor seating. One of the tables at the back of the room was tipped over on its side, presumably being worked on. It was hard for my eyes not to be drawn to the air vents, which didn't look like they'd been cleaned in months. The whole spot had a weird hushed feeling to it. It was like they'd closed during covid and never actually re-opened and the place was staffed by ghosts. Dramatic? Sure, but that was the vibe. The service was what a person's bare-minimum looks like. I couldn't tell if she was new, or just apathetic, but it was not good. We ordered three margaritas, two large and I had a small. They looked completely different, with the large ones looking as you'd expect, and mine being clear, with a bit of something carbonated. It tasted like a splash of sweet and sour with soda water and was absolutely terrible. We had one kids meal and three entrees. The food had very little flavor from the meat to the sauces. Everything was bland. The mole was probably the worst I've had anywhere. The beans were soup. The rice was...fine, but why was it a pilaf when the other two plates had Mexican rice? Whatever. The prices, which are absurdly high, felt even higher due to the low quality of literally everything else. We definitely won't be returning. Catch us at Vaquero's, where we should have gone in the first place. Oh well, now we know. 2/10 UPDATE: And then the owner tries to play it off because I mentioned a better restaurant at the end, and that my wife also submitted an honest review of their establishment. Nothing weird here, other than all your five star reviews from people who have never reviewed anything else besides your restaurant 🤔 try harder.
