This place is a great find. Everyone that works here is welcoming and friendly. Our sushi chef Johnny served us Omakase. It was the Best decision made. Everything was fresh and tasted absolutely amazing! Not to mention the surprise bone marrow. Melt in your mouth delicious.

This sushi spot has such a dope Japanese atmosphere that makes the dining experience feel authentic from the moment you walk in. We tried a variety of dishes and everything impressed us. It’s NOT an AYCE spot for anyone asking! The rolls were a highlight. The “I Love Jasmine” no rice roll was fresh and flavorful, while the Daniel San premium big roll stood out with its generous portions. They run a weekly special from Monday through Thursday where rolls, sushi, and sashimi are buy one, get the second 50% off, which is an amazing deal. We also had bluefin tuna, bluefin toro, and salmon, all of which were top quality. The “Love Spicy Fresh Roll” was another favorite. It’s always served as a half roll with four pieces, priced at $6-$8 depending on what you order, which makes it easy to try more items without overcommitting. The scallop crunch was light and crispy, and the baked langostino roll was rich and satisfying. To end the meal, we had complementary ice cream! The combination of atmosphere, quality fish, creative rolls, and great weekly specials makes this a spot worth coming back to often!

The food was amazing. Fresh sushi! Flavorful food. The portions are generous and my family and I really enjoyed our experience. The staff are kind, attentive, and caring. The owner even came out after our dinner to see how our experience was. We will definitely be coming back.

What a surprise! I have lived here for several years and decided to finally give this wonderful place a try and what a treat! I had the Thai coconut shrimp roll, and I can’t even put it to words What an exciting different experience it was! The soy paper made it very easy to bite and the flavors were exciting! And then to my surprise, they also serve a fun little cup of ice cream to go with your meal. Definitely coming here again! What a surprise find.

Every sushi really does tell a story here! 🍣 The sushi was super fresh, beautifully presented, and so unique compared to other spots I’ve tried in OC. Loved that they’re the only place I know serving Orion draft beer, and even the edamame had a spicy twist that made it stand out. The kitchen menu items were also amazing, not just the sushi. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and service was friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back, especially since I heard they’re adding new menu items soon! Highly recommend for anyone in La Habra or nearby.

SERIOUSLY SO UNDERRATED! I always drive by this place and decided to check it out…and wow… definitely gonna be a regular here soon! The rolls have insane deals of $6-8 for 4pcs everyday! My favorite roll was the amazing salmon roll. I loved the thickness of the sushi on the salmon sushi — so fresh and buttery. The service was AMAZING. the workers helped me choose what to order, attentive, and the interior was so cute and clean! The oysters were also an amazing appetizer — very fresh! Highly recommend this spot for quality rolls and atmosphere!

I recently discovered a comfortable and beautiful restaurant! The seating is spacious, and the dishes are very neatly presented and delicious. I ordered sushi and rolls, chicken, and oysters, and everything was very tasty. The staff were all friendly, and I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy a delicious meal in a pleasant environment.

I had dinner here on an early Saturday evening, and it was a great experience. The restaurant is very clean with stylish decor that sets the mood for sushi. We ordered the Johnny Johnny Roll, which was absolutely delicious. The popcorn crawfish on top was especially unique. The Sashimi Classic (12 pieces) was fresh and high quality, and my child loved the crispy vegetable tempura. The edamame and miso salad were also very good. The prices were reasonable, the service was very pleasant, and there’s plenty of parking. Highly recommend this place!

We visited Sushi Story as a party of 8 for lunch and had a wonderful meal and experience! Food: The food was delicious and extremely fresh! We ordered a variety of dishes, including sashimi, rolls, sushi, appetizers and udon. There was an explosion of flavor in each dish, and each layer was seasoned exceptionally. Our family has visited many sushi restaurants before but you could tell a difference in both quality and flavor at Sushi Story. One other thing I really appreciated was the wide variety of food I could order from their huge menu. It worked out great since my toddlers can’t eat raw fish or rolls yet! Ambiance: The restaurant’s interior design is very nice and unique. It’s decorated with Sakura flowers and Japanese umbrellas, and we felt like we were teleported to Japan. Service: Everyone, including the chefs, greeted us as we were walking through the doors, and the waiter and waitress both helped serve our table. They were very attentive and came to check on us throughout our meal. They really helped to improve our experience. Overall, Sushi Story is a premium restaurant serving high-quality food with exceptional service and ambiance, and we highly recommend visiting!

Crystal took great care of us and the food was good quality. I like that they offer half rolls so you can try multiple things. The spicy edamame had nice flavor and the salmon sashimi was sliced in perfect proportion.

My wife and I have already been to Sushi Story six times, and it never fails to impress. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by very friendly people and a family-like atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The new owner is absolutely wonderful and truly cares about the guest experience. ​The interior design is very inviting and, most importantly, the restaurant is extremely clean. Now, for the food: they easily have the best sushi rolls in town. Everything is very fresh, but you have to try the "Daniel San" and the "I Love Jasmine" rolls—they are spectacular! ​It’s a very warm and inviting place to enjoy a night of sushi with your friends and loved ones, all at a very reasonable price. This has officially become our favorite spot!

Absolutely loved this sushi spot! The fish was incredibly fresh, and the salad was light and tasty. They had a Christmas salmon special that was such a great deal--5 pieces of salmon sashimi, 2 pieces of salmon sushi, and a classic salmon roll. Perfect for salmon lovers! I also tried the shishito peppers, which were nicely charred with just the right amount of spice. The spicy tuna rainbow roll was another highlight--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The service was awesome too. Chrystal was my server and she was so cool, funny, and made the whole experience even better. She was so professional and down to earth! Definitely a place I'd come back to again! You should give it a try if you're in the area! The decor was super cute too. The decor reminds you of being in Japan!

This is the BEST sashimi place in La Habra! John is an expert at pr parking the freshest seafood. My suggestion is to sit at the sushi bar and let them take care of you. They will prepare what you like and and add a little extra flavor. 10/10. La Habrans needs more of this!

Sushi Story is the best! It is our favorite sushi in the Whittier/La Habra area. We are regulars here and we really enjoy quality of their food and service! Ownership/management is very nice and very welcoming! The weekly deals here are great and they also have a wide variety in their menu. It is a must try!

Place is very clean and has a traditional feel without coming across as dated. Server was very nice, but I did find conversation a bit challenging. Super nice people regardless. I mention, so you can be a good human and patient. The chicken wings were a very pleasant fusion surprise. Spicy and savory. The rice cake and chips complemented. The sushi was fresh and the Itamae is a master. The 10 piece had a variety of fish and some tasty seasoning with dollops of marinades/sauce, without “covering” up the flavor profile of the fish. Solid performance. Definitely will be back with wifey and daughters. They did have an issue with their refrigeration so regretfully they couldn’t sell me the oysters. Better safe then sorry. Appreciate their integrity.

It had been a while since I visited, because we have a great sushi option so close to the house. The food here is good, the rolls are a bit sloppy and fall apart very easily. But the food taste good and the service is good. Would recommend you come hungry the rolls are plentiful.
