The great service seems to make their kolachies taste a little better than the other locations!! Kolachies regular, with jalapeños my favorite, worthy of you or your customers! I love this place. They say first impressions matter the most, and this Shipleys definitely did that. The food was nice and warm. The atmosphere was so welcoming. Everyone greeted you with a smile. I didn’t get her name but as I walked in the lady in the front said “good morning mija😊Welcome in” It was very warm, loving, and pleasant to hear. Not a lot of establishment can give you that warm welcoming, so I’m grateful this one did. As I left she said “have a blessed day!😊” it’s so good to hear that, because you never know someone might be having a terrible day. Just a tiny bit of kindness can make your day feel way better. Thank you I will definitely be coming back again💕

Shipleys never disappoints me. You can't go wrong with some fresh hot glazed donuts. The donuts holes are like fries. They never make it to my job which is right down the street. The staff is always friendly.

The staff is friendly, and the products are consistently fresh. The iced donuts have a layer of colorful icing, the way I like them. The interior is clean and has plenty of seats.

Its a “small” donut shop but they have great customer service delicious donuts and kolaches are on point!! The coffee is good too not to hot good blend creme options.

Visit 11-12-2022: We went thru the drive-thru today after my daughter got shots. The donut holes were yummy as always! We had friends with us and we had two separate orders. The staff did very well in keeping everything straight.

I am a Shpley fan I think their do nuts are better than the others. Nothing and I mean Nothing beats a fresh hot sipley's glazed doughnut but really my personal favorite it the chocolate iced nut. Thanks to all the people who work here and keep making me happy.

Easy to notice from the street in normal traffic. Open early. Wheelchair accessible parking lot, restrooms and entrances. Well lit. Drive through available. Cash, credit and debit cards accepted. Friendly staff. Remarkably fresh products.

I have been there multiple times early morning and no warm glazed donuts. Kolaches have changed, do not taste the same. Not friendliest staff but better than deer park.

Typical Shipley, good donuts, alittle more expensive but better. Only complaint is that I was supposed to get a free donut on national donut day, the day I was there and was not even told about it or added to my order.

Usually a nice place to go and get doughnuts. Service is sometimes lackluster. Today 2 signs that say OPEN. Go through the drive thru and the woman says I'm sorry I'm not serving any more people today. Just bad.

Stopped here after making a delivery from WI, and got coffee and of course, doughnuts. Coffee tasted a bit milky, and they couldn't get my doughnut order correct even though I stated what I wanted at least 3 times! But the shop was clean, and they were busy (I went inside vs the drive thru). Probably wouldn't stop again.

July 3rd this Donut shop only had drive through only!! Which was cool but when I ordered a dozen assorted donuts they were all cold and a bit hard. Next time I will ask for assorted fresh made Donuts!

Can't walk my dog there no more. I walked my overly friendly, playful best friend and companion, Ryder, there at least three times a week. We'd arrive at four am sometimes a bit early and await for the glazed and chocolate iced with walnuts donuts and get a ham and cheese kolache and a jalapeno cheddar kolache which we'd half each one and get a strawberry or plain white milk in which we'd share. It was as much a looked forward treat for Ryder as myself. The front lady cashier asked me not to bring my dog no more as she might scare other patrons away or they might complain. I believe she doesn't care for dog's as most customer petted, talked to and found Ryder simply entertaining watching how patient and well trained she is and how pleased and loving towards me for her good manners. I no longer patron Shipley's Donut's in LaPorte. We walk to Donald's Donut's where the donuts are ready when there doors open. No wait nor settling for something we really don't want. And Ryder is a welcome guest and treated as a prized customer. Wish I knew how they felt sooner. Donald's Donut's are a third cheaper. Donuts are fluffier and lighter. Lots better service, no wait and much more variety. Best quality and cost all the way around. As well as they have two locations in LaPorte to serve us.

Cold donuts, poor quality kolaches, minimum card swipe of $5, and they charge for ice. Not sure why anyone would choose a chain like this when we have so many spectacular mom and pops in the area. My first time coming here (not my choice) will also be my last.

Compared to the Shipley's where I live in the Houston Galleria (Richmond Ave.), the La Porte store is TERRIBLE! Staff is rude and has a terrible attitude, argues with customers, overall terrible customer service. Will report this to corporate.

Charged me .30 cents for a do nut box b/c I didn’t want my iced do nuts smashed together with other donuts and the icing going all over. 30 cents for a negative review…smart

Unless you want 2 kolaches and a apple juice to charge your checking account $70 don't go here, get breakfast somewhere else. The cashier is not trained to use the register. Charged twice and the refund takes 48 hrs to hit my account, should ask for cash refunds.

Very rude and not customer friendly on top of getting cold donuts at 7:30 in the morning! I feel if you are working in the customer service industry people skills are a must.

This particular location is getting into the bad habit of giving you cold, stale donuts. This morning we went through the drive thru and got 1 dozen glazed. They were cold and hard. Not just stale but hard! They lady tried to tell me it was the machine and I could come and get hot, fresh ones. Let's be honest, it isn't the machine. Those donuts were at least 2 days old sitting in the refrigerator.....What a waste of time and money!

For a long time, all donuts their donuts have been cold. Kolaches are only warm if you order them right after they're made. Never receive the correct number of items anymore. Sorry Shipley's, gonna have to start going elsewhere.

I will probably never go back to this Shipley Dounut. Service can be slow, and the quality food has gone downhill.

This is the only Shipley Do-Nuts that when you specifically ask for warmed donuts, they give you cold ones. & when you ask for fresh, they respond with "All their donuts are fresh." Then you get the donuts and they are cold and look as they have been sitting on the counter for hours.

Never no warm glazed available in this location in the morning. Started going to our mom and pop place in the neighborhood that serves them fresh out of the hot oil and then glazed.... 👍💯

Last time: What I order: half a dozen kolaches with jalapeños, half a dozen without jalapeños What I got: a dozen kolaches without jalapeños Today: What I Order: 1/2 a dozen of donuts with Bavarian cream. What I got: 5 glazed, 1 with Bavarian cream This place screws up every time.

The lady in the front has a attitude I asked for a white iced donut and i made sure she heard me when I said," one with the most icing please I love y'alls icing!" She looked at me and just grabbed one without even looking. Bought a drink so we asked for a cup and she just looks at us like we are crazy and says 35 cents we a bunch of attitude after we just bought a drink. "You know what nevermind.." I paid. And left (not planning on going back)And I dont encourage it from any body at least to this location.

Was very disappointed at today’s visit I bought a dozen of glazed donuts and my whole family bit into raw donuts. They have literally made out stomach hurt I’m praying this don’t go any further because there’s bacteria’s that could be inside of raw dough. I brought the donuts back to the establishment and was given attitude by the drive thru lady I asked for sausage and cheese kolachis instead and she gave me 6 of them and 2 of them were burnt pretty badly so I asked to replace them and she told me they’re not burnt despite visibly and physically hard. So she caught another Attitude with me so I just asked for my money back. The owner was helpful and not rude about their products being under cooked and burnt and was given a refund I will monitor my kids health this was a terrible experience!

Worst service, they are very rude & we were trying to enjoy our morning by sitting in the lobby.. got one bite in our donut and she kicked us out & told us we couldn’t sit inside. They didn’t close for another two hours. Don’t understand why we couldn’t finish our breakfast.
