I found this cool new Mexican restaurant in D Street in La Verne while I was trying to find Taco Tuesday and they have $.99 tacos that are amazing and filling. The customer service excellent, she was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was nice, large areas to sit and the floor and booth are very clean. I got 1-carnitas, 1-chicken, 1-pastor and 1-chile Verde Taco. The were good size, very fresh tasting came with onion, cilantro, a lemon and your choice of yummy salsa. They have a very large menu selection. They serve some of their breakfast burritos all day and have menudo daily. This has been open about 8 months. Definitely my go to place...

I have been here a couple of times now. Came for taco Tuesday (chicken and chorizo) as well as a torta on a Monday. Meats were very tender, moist which is important. The bread on the torta was soft and mixed well with the flavors of the meat, green salsa was a great addition. Kiosk made it simple to order, staff are amicable and readily available to assist. Since they recently opened up, additions are being made frequently and happy to see adjustments based on consumer needs. Clean establishment and very upbeat, modern. Free public parking on the street and lots nearby make this place very accessible.

Great daily specials. Clean environment. Chicken, carnitas, and asada were all stellar. Chorizo was less good. Only downsides were the Pepsi and 3% convenience fee for using the touchscreen to skip the line.

Wow finally a good taco spot in la Verne. I went on grand opening day and I was instantly greeted by Luz. The menu looked delicious. I ordered the carne asada torta and my daughter ordered the flamin quesadilla. The portions were big for the price. It was so good we will definitely be coming back for more.

Today was my first day trying out this spot, I got a carne asada burrito, great flavor close to street taco stand and the size was bigger than expected, salsa was also great I ordered hot salsa it's got kick I admit it considering I eat lots of spicy food, service standard fare friendly and got served fast and prices were fair considering the area specially because there aren't that many mexican restaurants and I mean truly authentic not American style bs like Chipotle or so many other restaurants trying to sell their own version of mexican food, the place is great though it was empty when I went to get my food so it needs to be lively hopefully more people drop try it out and make this place a new staple of Laverne ambience, so I highly recommend this place as I mentioned there aren't many mexican restaurants that stick to traditional mexican food. 9/10 would buy again they have different from Tuesday to Friday.

The atmosphere, the food and the service was amazing...the food was amazing. It's about time that the area has some authentic great tacos.

Everything was AMAZING! This food created one happy fiance! Get the chicken burrito with the green salsa (and extra of it). My fiance hates chicken but when she tasted my chicken burrito, we had to switch food because she didn't like hers as much as she likes mine. Would go back again. Been here twice now. Once to eat in, tonight we got tacos to go. All the food we've had has been delicious! Salsas are BOMB! Especially the red and the habanero. Friendly staff. Perfect addition to old town La Verne!

Came in on the first Taco Tuesday. Place was packed. Although there were a few hiccups with wait times, it was worth the wait. Tacos were delicious. Things were a bit hectic behind the counter, but the owner came out and apologized to our friends that were with us about their wait. Understandable since they just opened 4 days ago that there will be some growing pains. She said she wasn't expecting that large of a turnout. Good problem to have. We'll definitely be back.

The food quality was good but all of the meats we ordered were somewhat bland and relied on the salsas for flavor. We ordered a plate of chicken, rice, and beans, steak nachos, and quesa birria tacos. Unfortunately, the only thing that was served hot was the tacos, everything else was room temperature. I really want this place to do well so I hope the restaurant will take this feedback and make some changes.

I hate giving a review like this but I have to be honest. We order chilaquiles plate, a few tacos and a tostada. The majority of the food we ordered was below room temperature. The consome (came with the quesa birria taco) was watered down. The rice was on the mushy side and lacked flavor. The chilaquiles themselves were pretty good. The service was not bad. I'll go back and try different tacos. Hopefully my first experience was a fluke because I am really hoping for La Verne to have a good Mexican food joint.🙏

However, the food didn’t just fall short of expectations instead it was subpar and not the first choice I would have gone to. I got 3 birria tacos and my partner got a shrimp burrito. The burrito was very poorly distributed in contents, and the first 4 bites was nothing but lettuce. Once he got down to the actual burrito everything was overly salted and flavors, if there were even any present, seemed completely overpowered by the salt. The birria tacos were also heavily lacking. The portion of meat was minimal inside of the taco, along with no toppings to be found. The meat was soft, but it oddly didn’t have much flavor besides the salt. The consome tasted nothing like what it should and the main flavor profile once again was just salt. This quality issue wasn’t a problem of them being busy either since there was only one other party apart from the two of us. The server was friendly and helpful though and would often check in to see if we needed anything. The business was clean but sort of empty/low effort.

I only go here because I don't drive and everytime I'm reminded why I don't really want to go back. The only thing that I think is good here are the queso-birria tacos. The California burrito is too expensive for what you get (that's actually across the board for all menu items). They also charge 75 cents just to pay with card. The employees are nice but I think they feel the same way about the food and prices.

The rice was good but the beans were so salty you couldn’t eat them. Overall this was not a good experience and we won’t be back. And they were out of Diet Coke

When I order I didn't leave a tip and my burrito hardly had any meat in it . I was pretty disappointed

I ordered the Queso Birria tacos. The same order I got TWO tacos, this order I received ONE taco. What’s with the inconsistencies? SMH 🤦🏽‍♀️

I ordered the taco combo. I got the beef, chicken and fish tacos. The beef was ok, but the chicken was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. The fried fish was just ok. The rice was good but the beans were so salty you couldn’t eat them. Overall this was not a good experience and we won’t be back. And they were out of Diet Coke

Took the family to have dinner. Ordered our food and waited 30 minutes. Went to the counter to ask how much longer. To my surprise, there was no cook and no food was being prepared. I was told it would take an additional 20-30 min to get our order. Restaurant was critically understaffed and overwhelmed. Not a good look.

We spent over $100, and not only was our order missing several items, but when we went back to ask for them, the cashier accused us of already receiving everything. We literally had to drive back for the rest of our food, which was ridiculous after spending that much. When we finally asked for a refund for the missing items, the cashier said he couldn’t issue one because there was no manager working very unprofessional. To top it off, the food was extremely salty, and the fish tacos were dry and tasted old. I get that it was busy with the Dodgers game, but that’s no excuse for terrible service and poorly prepared food. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again. Truly disappointing.
