Churro and the fish taco plate are the best thing to get here. Staff is pretty friendly and I didn’t have to wait long at all for my food. Everyhting tasted amazing, and depending on what you get can be reasonably priced.

The street shrimp tacos were out of this world! The order took awhile because of a large to go order. Manager offered the food for free because of that and we declined. It was worth the wait.

You get your order pretty quickly. My family and I usually go during week nights and it's not that busy. Staff is friendly and the quality of food is great. It sounds weird but this store trends to feel a bit cold so I usually bring in a light sweater, but that could just be me.

This location is great. I thought parking would be difficult but it was not. I enjoyed a bottled coke, roasted chipotle salsa and the ancho citrus shrimp burrito. Very filling burrito 🌯 The servers were very courteous and pleasant. 🌊🏄‍♂️🏄🏄‍♀️🏝️ Mr. Huntington Beach

Came for the $2.50 Tuesday Fish Tacos and the kid's build your own taco plate with Mahi. My kid said it was the best taco ever (rice, beans, cheese, and lettuce.... she doesn't even normally eat lettuce!) Went back for a 3rd taco. Please don't close like the others!

Love the fish tacos, got Mahi Mahi this time.

The promotions seduced me to order more. All was good except the chips and bean add on. The chips were mostly crushed and the beans cup was only about half full. I showed them the chips and they gave me a pre-prepared bag as a replacement and those were less ravaged, but were going stale as they've been out for many hours and probably close to the kitchen humidity. It would be nice to see better chips, larger chips and more refried beans for the price paid. Tacos and California entree were very good. Service was excellent and the staff bent over backwards to help and serve.

The California Bowls with salmon were excellent! Everything tasted fantastic. We highly recommend this menu item.

Destiny and Sarah were amazing. They were polite, professional, and friendly. There was a small problem with our order (cold shrimp) and they quickly made it right. Thanks for a great experience.

I usually order online for pick up at this location. Every time I come to pick up, my order is ready, so I’m usually in & out & I appreciate it.

There was no roasted tomato salsa in the salsa bar. Only mild and Verde

Nice place. Promptness of service varies as well as the number of guests frequenting that day. Nice, friendly staff. Food is satisfying. The Tuesday Shrimp 3 Taco special is very good. Outdoor patio is a nice option.

My first time. Food was decent. A bit spicy for my taste. Not a big fan of fish tacos but they have other fish dishes. They didn't have any non sparkling bottled water which was disappointing. I would give them a second try.

Recently visited this location during the lunch hour and had the Coastal Trio plate. This plate includes one original fish taco, one salsa verde shrimp taco, and one black mahi taco. No sides come with this plate. Total tab with a regular drink and tax came to just under $13. Service was friendly and attentive.

Got the new fish n chips…not bad for the price. Tartar sauce had a lot of mayonnaise, white cream….something in it, making it taste bland. Service was fast and food came out hot n fresh!

Pretty good. I got a burrito. My only complaint is that there wasn’t enough rice inside and it kinda fell apart

Ordered the California bowl with chicken, no salsas or dressings and it was made correctly and delicious. The food is fresh, not greasy. A healthy “fast dining” option.The California burrito with steak was tasty too. 😋 We received our order quickly. Tables did need cleaning though.

I love Rubio's! Having said that, this might be the most dysfunctional Rubio's I've ever been to. It is always 30 minutes plus to get your food. I can't tell if they are consistently overrun or the employees are stroke victims. Either way, God bless you all in your trials.

I usually don’t see the need to leave any reviews, but this store really deserves one. I have been purchasing burritos from them for the past couple nights and I don’t even think they add legitimate guacamole anymore. I grew up loving this Rubio’s but that will not be the case anymore.

I usually don’t see the need to leave any reviews, but this store really deserves one. I have been purchasing burritos from them for the past couple nights and I don’t even think they add legitimate guacamole anymore. I grew up loving this Rubio’s but that will not be the case anymore.

The food at Rubio's has never been spectacular, but until recently, there was a certain baseline, satisfactory quality that I could always expect from any given location, especially this one. I don't know what's happening behind the scenes here. The quality of preparation and portion size has declined substantially in the last 6-8 months. Any time I have been served rice, it's been crunchy/stiff, and I suspect it's because they serve the rice that someone scraped off of the bottom of a pot. Most tables and the floors beneath are dirty at least half of the time I dine in, which is a shame, because otherwise it's a pleasant place to sit down and eat. Too often it looks like the salsa bar has suffered through a drought. I hate having to bother the front staff to restock. Service has also suffered--I haven't had mistakes in my orders, but I've been present for several incidents during which frustrated customers confronted the front of house about missing food, and responses were tepid, almost indifferent, which is unfortunate. The saving grace here is the Rubio's branded citrus jalapeno salsa in the squeeze bottle. Possibly the best salsa in the fast-casual Mexican game, even beating out salsas served at the hole in the wall "authentic" taquerias. Its only real competitors are Baja Fresh's Baja Salsa, Baja Fresh's Pico Di Gallo (the one true pico di gallo), and the Baja sauce at Chronic Tacos.

We like their food and it's consistently good, but the reason for my poor rating is that I ordered dinner this morning to be ready at 5:45 p.m. . At 6:00 I was still standing there waiting for my food. Should I order my food to be ready 15 minutes before I arrive to give them extra time to prepare the food at risk of food being cold when I get it home? Or should I stand there and wait for it?

We are frequent flyers to Rubios. However this location was awful. The trash cans were over flowing, the salsa bar was disgusting looking/empty, they messed up our order, most tables were dirty....never going back to this location.

WORST SERVICE EVER! Would give 0 stars if I could! Ordered literally ONE item, waited 30 MINUTES!!! THEN when it was finally “ready”, it turns out to have been a bag that was sitting on their prep counter for at least 20 minutes!! It was stone cold!! If it was ready in 10 minutes why didn’t they tell me??? I didn’t miss the announcement cuz I was right there in front. Never going back.

Haven't been to a Rubios since they closed a bunch of locations. Won't be coming back to this one. After waiting 35 minutes for my order. I got home with my to go order. The beans were burnt and gross. Disappointed used to love Rubios....

They have no idea of how to provide decent customer service. Being a cook in the Navy for 12 years I realize that kitchens can be busy...but they are working with processed goods. It shouldn't take 15 minutes for a shrimp taco. Then when I received my food my shell was all stale....the cashier was picking at his face...so hopefully he isn't handling food.. I probably won't go back to this location...

Really sad to see... only two people working... long wait for my order. I ordered the shrimp bowl and got only 2 shrimp and very little rice and beans. The bowl was half empty. The chicken burrito was not stuffed... my daughter had lots of bites with just tortilla. Portion sizes have really gone down due to Covid-19, but the prices did not. Very disappointed... will not be going back unless it improves.

Just because it's Taco Tuesday doesn't mean they should use smaller pieces of fish. I ordered two regular fish tacos and one fish taco special. All three tacos were not only small, but it was mostly fried batter and hardly much fish. A big disappointment considering I've been going to Rubio's on taco Tuesdays for years. The one fish taco supposedly came with guacamole, but as you can see from the picture, they chinced out. For 50 cents more I would have expected a little more. If this is how Rubio's is going to be offering the customers cheap, small low quality fish tacos on Taco Tuesday then it will be my last visit to Rubio's. I may give it one more try and if I do I will update my review.

The manager told me the limes “sometimes get squished from the bottom” but the one I received looked squeezed and dried out.
