Studio Mediterranean truly offers the best of both worlds exceptional food and a breathtaking view. While Orange County has many restaurants with great scenery or good cuisine, this place perfectly combines both. The setting is stunning, overlooking Laguna Beach, and the atmosphere feels special from the moment you arrive. The staff were kind and welcoming throughout our visit. We started with the edamame hummus and pita bread, which was a perfect choice. Although the entrées took some time to arrive, the restaurant kindly offered complimentary grilled dates with goat cheese, which was a lovely touch. The steak and dorado fish were both flavorful and delicious, and the rice on the side paired perfectly with them. To make the evening even more memorable, they surprised me with a complimentary dessert for my birthday, which was incredibly thoughtful. Overall, a beautiful experience and a restaurant I’d happily return to.

From the moment we walked in, we felt completely taken care of. Next level service! The setting and design of the restaurant are stunning. And the food was amazing. Hard to pick favorites but the trio of dips, lamb and Greek yogurt dessert were incredible. We sat outside and it was chilly but worth it. Heat lamps and blankets kept us warm and we got to enjoy the stunning view.

What a meal! Studio is a Southern Californian gem with a fantastic tasting menu and wine pairings that I will remember for a long time. I'm tempted to compare it to Addison Del Mar, an hour south, as they are both fine dining restaurants in SoCal -- but they approach things quite differently, and although I love Addison, I also now have room in my dining life for Studio as well. I came here expecting a lot -- Studio has impressive credentials as a Forbes 5 Star and AAA 4 Diamond restaurant, and sitting on a high-end luxury property like the Montage on Laguna Beach. I'm happy to report that my expectations were exceeded in every way.

Why 5 stars?? Here are the reason why.. The atmosphere/ambiance are exquisite, the FOOD were delicious, im not a professional taster but i know enough whats good and not. The service was excellent i mean A+. Jamie was very pleasant and she really took time explaining every single details of each entrè and she has a very beautiful smile and friendly vibes. Luis (im not sure if i spelled his name right, the server) was also very nice and friendly to us. He was the one who took beautiful pictures of us, he even directed/suggested which part of the view we should do for pictures, A+ for him as well. The experience over all was extremely excellent! It was the most romantic dinner we ever had so far, i mean we've been to Mastros and other high class restaurants but studio is the best by far. We didnt want to leave hahaa.. Try the Octopus its my favorite, i guarantee you wont regret eating it! I salute Chef Craig! The only think that we didnt like was the cheese, i personally didnt like the taste i couldnt even describe it. But the rest are extremely excellent! Very romantic ambiance! We're def coming back here with the kids. So much to say but have to wrap it up! Btw, hubby paid over a little $600 with the gratuity. Valet parking is $50 but if validated $15.

To be honest with everyone, this is wonderful and one of the beat 5 starts restaurants in the world. If some gives this less than 5 starts, it would be because the prices are high. Overall, good place for dating but make sure you have enough money 😂👏🏽

Beautiful experience! From the welcome to the farewell. The hummus trio platter is incredible. The pita bread, amazing! Freshest, buttery branzino I’ve ever tasted! The baklava pistachio sundae is a must have.

Upon arrival we were welcomed by Dee who was just a warm embrace of what was about to come. I was celebrating a very special weekend with my fiancé and he accommodated us with seating that in the end was worth it 100%. Priscilla was our server for the night and made the dining experience extremely easy and casual. Just what we were looking for. The food was incredible and had such an elegance to each plate I couldn’t help but stop and stare before eating the plate and basically licking it clean. Chef Dennis, we appreciate the food experience truly. Also want to give a shout to our sommelier, Claude, for the information about Cahors. Thank you to the staff and everyone there. We’ll be back without a doubt.

We had an absolutely stellar experience at Studio Mediterranean. We were lucky enough to meet the chef too. We were delighted by the attentiveness of all the staff, start to finish. We enjoyed great service, with a lot of intention & attention to detail. SM really went above and beyond to create the ultimate experience in fine dining. I absolutely loved the blend of Greek Mediterranean with a twist, like a California flare. Everything was presented in a beautiful understated manner, and incredibly savory. The decor and aesthetic is unmatched, and it was a welcomed surprise from the old Studio, that was closed for so many years. The chef has reimagined what Studio is. I truly appreciate all of the detail and thought that was involved. Especially with the build out itself, which was executed to maximize the absolutely stunning and sweeping views that only can be offered at the Montage Laguna Beach. Incredible place to go for a celebration, a romantic date, or a family gathering. Sitting at the bar is also wonderful, as is the lounge area. The food was truly delicious! It was very nice for me as a vegan to have plenty of options. The beans, salads, rice, dates, everything was spectacular. I look forward to coming back again very soon. Make it a whole evening by getting there before sunset, & enjoying the sunset views. Along with delicious food, you have an ambience and the general atmosphere that you can only get in this part of Laguna Beach. If you appreciate beautiful interior design, aesthetic, and architecture, this restaurant is for you.

Beautiful place. Excellent service that knew our names when we came in. Food is tasty as well. Get the pork belly and seafood dishes. They comped the desserts. Request to sit outside as it’s a beautiful panoramic view and the inside seating area can be quite noisy. Will be back.

This was an absolutely gorgeous restaurant at the Montage that also offered amazing food. The wine list was extremely extensive and the cocktail menu was good. If you enjoy beer their selection was a little limited. The food was portioned for several courses and all of it was innovative and creative. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had great views of the ocean and surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for an elevated dining experience in the Laguna area.

After spending a relaxing afternoon at the beach and at the hotel, we decided to stop by the restaurant for dinner. It would have been beautiful to sit outside, but the sun had already gone down and the temperature dropped, so we chose a cozy indoor table instead. The staff was very nice and polite, although it did seem like they were a bit disappointed that we didn’t order wine. There was a sommelier on site who even stopped by to ask if we were interested in non alcoholic options. We ordered the roasted eggplant, the grilled dates, and the melitzanosalata. Every dish was genuinely delicious and so well prepared. The dates were definitely unique. We really enjoyed everything and appreciated the quality of the food. However, waiting for the bill was a different story. It took longer to receive the check than it did to get our entire meal, and we weren’t sure what caused the delay. It left the ending of the experience feeling a bit off compared to the rest of the evening. Overall, the food was wonderful and the ambiance was lovely, but a smoother finish would have made the visit even better.

Horrible service. We had a reservation for 7:15 for a BIRTHDAY dinner and we didn't get seated until 7:50. When we got to our table, it was not set up. There were half drunken glasses and no napkins. Me and my family ordered the branzino. I asked for one pound of branzino which is priced at 62/lb on their menu. The waiter did not mention to me at that time that it was a standard of 2 pounds nor does their menu say there is a standard. When we received the check, we were charged for 3 2 lb branzino for $124 each. The waiter was rude and dismissive and was not taking ANY accountability for not explaining how there is a 2 lb standard. After we just accepted the charge, the waiter ignored us for 10 min until he grabbed the check and was heard talking about us with another waiter. Not to mention, he forgot our appetizer. Overall, the whole situation was handled horribly for a dinner we were paying 700 dollars for. I would at least expect a manager to come and address the situation.The food was not worth this.

As locals and Waldorf members, we had high expectations, but this restaurant simply doesn’t compare to the service at Bourbon. It’s disappointing that such a beautiful setting is overshadowed by the unprofessional and indifferent attitude of the staff. Our community and neighbors are close-knit and love supporting local venues—we would have loved to become regulars here, but unfortunately, this experience made that impossible
