This is the only Chinese place I will order from! Amazing taste, friendly service, super fast delivery and all at a great price! Seriously wouldn't ever go anywhere else if you're in lake Mary/ Sanford!

They give you a lot of food.

I didn't rate the atmosphere as this place is mainly take out. Everything we have gotten here was fantastic. Some of the best sweet n sour chicken and the hot n sour soup is spot on.

New owner Andi has awesome food. His portion sizes are huge! The egg drop wonton soup is amazing as well as the rangoons!! Very friendly and great customer service. Love Laura we personally ask for her when we get our food delivered!

This is the best Chinese food in Central Florida. I've lived in Seminole County for 10 years and I've eaten at China Star since moving here and I've not been disappointed once. I've had food delivered, I've ordered for pick-up and I've probably ordered everything on the menu at least once and I've never been disappointed. The best item on the menu? The house fried rice. I love this restaurant and every employee had been amazing and professional and great to deal with.

I absolutely love this place. The food is authentic Chinese food. The prices are more than reasonable. The owner is a professional chef and takes pride in serving fabulous hot delicious food. Combos are the best deal but I do love everything I have ordered here. I have always been served fast and always with a smile. Check it out. You will enjoy immensely. You can get it delivered to home if you live with in 5 mile radius. Enjoy

This place has fresh l, perfectly cooked Chinese food that really hit the mark! Veggies were crisp, not mushy. Shrimp were large and had the perfect texture as well. They followed all our instructions to make certain dishes extra spicy and leave out certain items. This is my new go-to spot for Chinese in Sanford/Lake Mary area. Great job!

We go to China Star every time we get Chinese food! Food is always really hot even after we pick it up and get it home. It's done by the time I get off the phone and get there. Egg rolls are good and General Tso's is great. Portions are pretty big too. Never been disappointed.

I love their food, especially the crab ragoons. The food is always freshly prepared to order. Even their soups are prepared to order, not sitting in a pot all day

Price was a little bit high but food taste good, place looked clean and they were very friendly. I ordered food without a drink and the lady was nice enough to give me a can of soda free of charge.

This is a typical shopping strip chinese stop. You can find all your favorite dishes but its nothing special. My personal favorite is the general tsao chicken which is decent here. The staff was polite but awkward... Mostly due to a language barrier. The reason I'll go back? No one around Lake Mary delivers to where I live and this place is next door.

Ever since they let their manager go this place has been terrible. It used to be my go to chinese take-out place for 5 years or so. Now they take forever to deliver and are almost always late. They put almosy zero effort into getting orders correct. For example, my last order they didn't include soup, egg rolls, or krab rangoon. They brought it after a quick call, but one of us ended up getting violently ill after eating it. Thank God I didn't eat it! Another time my lemon chicken dinner meal was literally just a crusted chicken patty sliced with a lemon wedge. The orange chicken was in such thick sauce and covered in orange peels not just zest. I'm sad to write this review, truly. This was my go to place and now I guess I'm not eating chinese food anymore. Buyer beware.

We ordered through door dash - Krab Rangoon was inedible- fake Krab and fake cheese and sweet like sugar?! And portions small - not that I wanted more but it’s a poor value.

The food is fine but the service is awful. Not that I'm looking for Fine Dining quality, but on a Monday night it took almost 90 minutes to get my order to me, and I live 12 minutes away. I had to call after over an hour to get any kind of update. If you're picking up, make sure you aren't on a deadline, as we had this issue in January on a pick up order too.

Be careful to anyone who visit this place. This is basically cheating and it has happened to me before. Since I have to work, I don't have time to argue. As for taste...eh... it's not worth it to go again. Read other reviews from customers. I would not recommend this place.

Ordered off uber, I will say the taste of the main dish was decent but the amount of food in the combo was pathetic. The crab ragoon litterally had filling. And they didnt deliver any of our drinks with our meals. And no it was not the driver. The restaurant just failed to do its job.

Terrible food and terrible service. Took over an hour and a half for delivery. Food was bland and tasteless and honestly the dumplings look store bought. When I asked for a refund the owner argued with me and said that I am the first person to complain and that he sells pounds of his food a day. I will never eat here again and I will make sure none of my friends or family will either.

I am appalled by the experience we had as patrons of this business. So naturally, I came to yelp to share my cautionary tale. My boyfriend and I are self-proclaimed foodies and have frequented a wide variety of establishments in the greater Central Florida area, but never have I been treated with such disrespect and combativeness as I was at China Star. Please, order at your own risk. I will never spend my hard-earned money here again and I recommend that you follow suit. Here’s why: Last weekend, much to our delight, my boyfriend and I realized that China Star delivered to our home! We previously thought Lee’s Palace was the only place for Chinese delivery in our area and were happy to have a second option. We ordered online with ease and the food arrived ahead of the estimated delivery time. So far, so good! The issue began when we realized that the soups included with our combination platters were not in the bag. I’ll be honest—the only reason I wanted Chinese delivery was to get my hands on a hot bowl of wonton, so I was super disappointed. I called the restaurant to allow them to right this wrong and was absolutely disgusted by the behavior that ensued. I explained our predicament to the gentleman (I use that term VERY LOOSELY) who answered the phone, I presume the owner by the way in which he spoke with authority on the subject. He explained that they did not give us soups because we did not indicate on the online order which type of soup we wanted. He stated that it was our fault because we didn’t choose an option for soup (SPOILER ALERT: There is NO option to choose a soup on the order form – photos attached for proof). I politely asked him why they didn’t call us and he was outraged by the suggestion—"WE NO CALL CUSTOMER!” I responded that I did not understand why they wouldn’t call us, but that’s fine, could they just send someone over with the soups now? With an abundance of attitude, he responded that it would take 45 mins to an hour, clearly trying to dissuade me from requesting my soups, which we paid for. I told him that it would be fine and we would wait. I think this upset him even more and he went on a tirade about how if it was the restaurants fault they would have them to us in 5 minutes, but it wasn’t their fault, it was ours because we don’t know how to order correctly (read: you stupid people don’t deserve soup). Attempting to reason with him, I asked him if the soup was included with the price of the meal and he confirmed that it was, so I said that we wanted the soups that we paid for. He conceded that they would credit us on a future order for the soups. Perhaps if I’d accepted, that would have been the end of things, but I’ve been in this situation before where the restaurant offers you a credit with nothing in writing and when you try to cash it in, they suddenly don’t know what you’re talking about. Furthermore, this person had been YELLING at me and berating me for the past 5 minutes, so frankly, I had no desire to place a future order. I told him as much. Very calmly and politely I said, “sir, I do not want to order from you in the future if this is how you treat your customers. Please deliver our soups or you can credit them back to the card that we paid with today.” HE LOST IT. I am paraphrasing, but it was something along these lines: “EXCUSE ME, NO. NO, YOU DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO. I DON’T CARE IF YOU DON’T ORDER HERE AGAIN!!!” followed by a continuous stream of yelling, again, about how it is our fault because we can’t figure out the right way to order. I quietly interrupted 2-3 times with, “sir, please stop yelling at me.” The look on my boyfriend’s face was priceless as he watched me calmly get screamed at on the phone and called out “there was no option for soup!” in the background. After several minutes of abuse from this business owner, I said, “you know what? You can keep my money and you can keep the soups but I will be writing a review about your business and how you treated me.” So here I am and here it is.

This place used to be so good I used to loved it , the food is so horrible now, that I would never order from here again. The egg rolls were soggy and raw inside just disgusting, the house special lo Mein had raw uncooked onions and carrots, the honey chicken was not even cooked in the sauce. Worst Chinese food ever.

if they allowed to place 0 on this review thats what they would get. I call 4 times to make an order, they keep me waiting around 20 minutes while i could hear then taking other people orders. After all of that and many calls and the lady and the man speaking on the phone would say, can you wait? I told them no am tired of waiting...for around 20 minutes . I told them the order was for deliver and they told me on the last try , they were busy and they at the moment would not make any deliver. Why to make me wait for 20 minutes, and passing the phone like a hot potato to tell me they can not take the order....It was my FIRST TIME tring to order there for my Birthday, and I promise would be the last time too. She say they were having problems with the System.. but I could hear them on the phone taking orders for the people that was just getting in.and other phione calls...Hell, NO WAY from my pocket not a penny...

Just ordered a Pt of bourbon and general tso chicken combo. Only two things. They did not include the white rice with the bourbon chicken. Or the soup with the combo. The bourbon chicken was not edible it was soooo dry and crunchy I couldn’t even swallow it. The general tso taste like water.

We called in to say that the food was burnt. Instead of sending another one at no charge they delivered another one and charged ys .these people don't know what customer service is. We have been ordering there for years. Can't believe that's how we are treated. We WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. I WOULD OF GAVE THEM A ZERO STAR

My order was wrong...the delivery guy was late and he told me " I dont care"....I called them back and the person that picked up was extremely rude....I wont order there again... the food was still. Good luck!

LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE! I order over the phone and was told 15 min. I arrive in 20 min and the order was never placed. I explained the reason I order on-line is to be able to pick it up and go on my way. The order was cooked after I arrived. 45 min wait & not crowded. UNBELIEVABLE! Two gents showed up and stated they ordered on their website. The owner was clueless and never checked the machine so they had to sit and wait as well. Food is average at best. Skip it

Twice we have ordered online and both times they didn't get our order after waiting an hour. He explained that it was my fault because when you order online, you have to call to confirm the order. It should say you have to call if you have to call. The other Chinese restaurants can do it without a call. He had the order in his hand reading it to me and still put the blame squarely on me. At least take ownership for your mistakes. I guess I will never know how the food is because I won't give them a third chance.

If I could give 0 Stars, I would. The egg rolls were flavorless. The egg drop soup was flavorless and they added too much cornstarch making it one big glop of soup. The Wonton soup also flavorless but whenever I tasted the wonton, I literally spat it out. Horrible. Basically ended up with a lot of rice for $30.
