Went to try their new pollo bowls. Got the double protein chicken bowl. Theis was bigger than expected. Ate half right after I got it and saved the rest for later when got hungry again!! Will be going back for them again!!

First time to come here in this El Pollo Loco My fren invite me. Is a better place to eat or to take out those guy's are so nice and the service is the best. I will come back again and i will really recomender to all my fren. I leave in fountain Vally. My fren leave in this area i will come back. Love those guy's who work on that ship. Typically Pollo Loco at their Lakewood location. Restraunt kept clean, employees are friendly amd helpful. Ordered a Original Pollo Bowl for lunch, just the right amount of food for lunch. All the condiments to include onions and salsas are available behind the counter. Good came out hot and in a timely matter. I would recommend this location.

I love their big salads w/o beans and their soups is what I recommend when your feeling ill. The chicken is flavored and grilled real good, not too overcooked.

Noticed chicken pieces got smaller. Also they don't put much salsa in those already small containers. They only give you 2 tortillas in a pak vs 4 before.

My husband and I realized we were hungry for chicken and EL Pollo is less than a mile away. We purchased their $20 special and a Double Chicken Avocado Salad. With extra Pico de Gallo and Avocado salsa our meal was a winner! Delicious!

Best around! This crew is amazing, and make some serioso loco pollo! Drive thru experience but very pleasant girl who took my order . She gave us the sauce we asked for. Food was good, no complaints from us. 🥑 Avocado burrito is 🌯 our go to meal.

Not sure why they are stingy with their cilantro. Most el pollo locos aren't, I love thier 3 peice with a salad and small guacamole and chips.

Coupons give this place great value. Food itself is better and healthier than other chicken places.

This location had quick service despite being in an early dinnertime rush when we arrived. The young man cashier knowledgeably answered my questions about an item. Chicken was delicious as always!

The seasonal tamale plate with avocado was tasty. Same with the green chicken tortilla soup. Tasty and not too salty or spicy. I've always liked their chicken plates.

Just a standard fasfood establishment...the cashier need to smile and talk a little more nicely to customers. Not a good image for the company. Otherwise, place was ok.

Ordered take out this visit it was maybe ten minutes or so from time we ordered to actually getting our food, we were in and out fast in my opinion. Salsa bar was stocked and cleaned, sometimes it can be messy but not like its been a mess all day just messy from being busy. Food was fresh when we got home!

Good, kinda fast but always hot and just made. Prices have gone up though. Like a brc is now 3 bucks and there are almost never coupons for it in the mail.

That avocado salsa, though. I could bathe in it. I could dab some behind my ears as an eau de toilette. I could start an IV drip with it. The avocado salsa most likely contains preservatives that I try to avoid, but I don't care. It's a surprise the toilet doesn't turn neon green after I've had El Pollo Loco. My, my. A makeover has done wonders for you, El Pollo Loco. With a more attractive décor & seating, this location looks more welcoming. However, I don't like moving the salsa bar from a center island to the left of the restaurant next to the soda. Reason being the crowd that forms, pushing & shoving for cup after cup of pico de gallo, house salsa and that, oh yeah, avocado salsa. The former center island was great because customers can stock up on salsa from both sides, reducing the wait. Now, I literally have to taser hapless victims to get my year's supply of salsa. During my last visit, the order machine broke & customers had to give back their receipts so the staff could complete the orders. Being an easy going fella, I wasn't in a hurry & didn't mind waiting a little longer for my food. When I eventually gathered my food, I was given 2 free pieces of chicken due to the wait. Woohoo! I just came up, baby! Besides that aberration, service has been good when I've visited. Because the small salsa cups aren't enough for me, I ask for the large salsa cups. For those wanting to dine in, plenty of table seating. Parking is in private lot shared by Church's, UFC gym, Thai Villa & other busineses. Trying the new menu items, such as the bowls & burritos, with mixed results, I know I can't go wrong with El Pollo Loco's chicken. That's what keeps me coming back. And go back I will, coupon held in my tenderlovin hand. Just please don't get mad at me if the staff has to restock the avocado & pico de gallo salsa after me ;p Recommend! They have gotten better. I used to go to their drive-through often and I would be shorted a piece of chicken. Then I would go back and they insinuated that I was trying to steal chicken. I stopped going for a few years but now it seems better.

I bought a 12 pc family meal, I ordered the 3 sides, one being cole slaw and they gave me rice instead, when I checked my order I told them my side order was wrong, I had not asked for rice, the boy at the window changed it back to what I asked for, but when I got home the cole slaw was sour and had to throw it away.

Every since Covid the quality of service has gone down so I won't go too hard because of those reasons but it's time to kick it up a notch El Pollo Loco you're getting stingy with the the portions for the prices.

Very slow especially when your on a 30 min break. Every el pollo varies you don’t ever know how much chicken you’ll get and it taste different.

I love some parts of the menu, especially burritos without rice (chicken avocado, keto). This time I ordered just the burrito and a drink (I had a coupon), but was served a combo (not covered by the coupon). My e-coupon was thus both unusable, and voided for future use. Not the end if the world, but the server did this without asking me. She said she thought that it would save me money (not understanding the coupon). Her heart was in the right place, but I didn't get just what I went there for.

This el pollo is 5 stars all the way. my concern is my chicken had no flavor and was burning hot inside. I mean like microwave hot. Cooling down hoping flavor kicks in. Found it odd it would be that flavorless. Maybe a bad batch which never ever happens. I’ve been spoiled by this location. And I forgive them. That’s how awesome this location is.

I love El Pollo Loco but this location needs help. They get really backed up during busy times and it takes forever to order and get your food whether inside or at the Drive-Thru. Also, at drive-thru they ask if I want salsas - I say "yes, a couple of regular salsas and a couple of pico de gallo" but they always give me a couple of regular salsas and several salsa verdes I didn't ask for - EVERY time! Otherwise, the food here is great. They just need more help and need to learn to give you the salsas you ask for.

This might not be the best Pollo Loco location to visit. Waited 10min drive thru on a slow night around 10pm with two cars in front of us to a guy over the speaker continuously asking "that it?". Ordered two burrito that had no avocado, no pico de gallo and very little chicken. The little chicken that we did get seemed to burnt with hard edges in every bite. Plenty of rice and beans tho if thats your thing. This is the second bad experience at this location and will not be returning. Would rather drive to the next Pollo Loco off Alondra & Woodruff.

The location has gotten a lot better in the sense of drive thru service. It's been a while since I've had a missing item. The only real complaint, and this might just be due to cooperate, is it be nice if there was more rice and beans in the chicken tostada salad.

The el pollo Loco employee I observed taking out the trash as he walked towards cashier to clock out he didn't at all wash his hands or help any customers take orders. It was all caught on camera.

Don't come here if you're in a hurry. I've been here a few times and it's always so slow. Last wait in line was about 10-15 minutes. Redeeming factor was the food.

Every time I come here it's slow. Maybe they're understaffed? This is my 4th visit and the drive thru has been crawling. This time there was no one in line and it still took hecka long.

I should have taken the chicken back yesterday and I am seriously thinking of taking it back today. I usually don't go here, but the skin on the chicken was burnt. Every piece. I was too tired to take it back last night and we just took the skin off. Thank God I had a coupon. Yuck!!!

Maybe the owners of this branch should look into how the chicken is prepared including the rest of the food they serve.

I went to el pollo loco on south and woodruff about 230pm on 7-15 -18 to buy a 15 piece meal that came to 41 dollars and some changes the ask what condiments I wanted it I told some creamy cilantro she me 45 cents a cilantro I said not after I paid that m Kind of money I told cancel my order please stop trying to save the company don't never come it's a disappointment

They ran out of all salsa over an hour before they closed. Only had dressing to offer. NO salsa at all. Unbelievable!

Food is ok but customer service is awful. Maria the "so called manager" is so rude and condescending. She has a thick accent and doesn't understand what is being said to her. She screams at her workers in front of customers and seems angry all the time.

For some reason or another my order can never ne right I ask for well done chicken I get half pale chicken with a half raw chicken breast , No need to call they never answer it's really said that this location is so close to my house and that I can't even go here anymore if the food is not right then it's the atttitudes of some of the employees, also if you come at night the order box light is off sometimes,Some of the people that work here make it seem like you're bothering them this is really sad, I hope this place will eventually be replaced with a new food chain who can really appreciate the customers and can get your meal correct at least......

They have horrible customer service for dine in. They also didn't know how to explain a coupon to me, they just said it's not going through. I recommend you just go to drive thru or place your order on the app for pick up.

I hardly ever go to this location because they always screw up my order. I always ask for no pico and no salsa. And yet there is always chilis and salsa and lots of pico. I will never return to this location ever.

There seems to always be an issue at this particular restaurant when you order. I don't eat rice, so i always ask to sub Broccoli for the rice when i order bowls etc. Other Restaurants its no problem at all. But here they need to ask a manager and always up charge a fee for it. Its happened twice already. Probably going to avoid this location from now on. The ones on Market and Downey are less tight when it comes to order changes/Subs. When I asked for light dressing on my salad. The lady preceded to dig my bag that i already had in my possession and pull out the other dressing. Gave me one small light dressing then said they charge for additional dressing packets and also for extra salsa cups. This was pretty much the nail in the coffin for me.

This was a horrible experience. My family has been coming to this location for years & this was the first time there has been an issue. We waited at the drive thru for several minutes with no one in front of us. No one took our order. Eventually a employee walked up to the drive thru & started yelling into the mic at the person on the other end. She had to call her name multiple times before there was a response. After she took our order we pulled up to the window. The lady at the window told us that we confused her with how we ordered & was rude. We got salads without enough dressing & when we asked for more, she told us it would be an extra change. Very happy with this experience. The least she could have done was give us some stupid dressing & tell us to have a nice night.

They're always serving old chicken. When you order a tostada Salad, it should AKWAYS be fresh including the meat! I couldn't even enjoy it and the rice was hard and not well cooked or old. It was tasteless they have got to do better

Well, I have been enjoying eating at pollo loco but lately the food is so bad, too much lettuce, burn chicken on the tostada too much salt on the chicken toatada. It is horrible. Sorry pollo loco you lost a great customer

I walked in placed order and lots of people walked afterwards. They all left and I was still waiting for my order. I asked what was going on and they still took a long time to get my 2 pc order. Then finally I got my order and I was given an extra piece of chicken. Employees seems to be running around and the lead person kept toss the containers with food on counter. That looks really bad!!!

Very disappointed that this location doesn't honor the prices advertised on the website. Ask cashier if manager would honor price but she never asked a manager. She just said this is a franchise and the prices are higher. I guess you can remain a franchise without this customer. Get your customer service back on track.

They gave me the chicken bowl without chicken, and when I told the manager about it he gave me the looks as if I bothered him. My daughter had the chicken nachos and said that the chips were too salty. Overall the service and the food was bad.

I have been several times late at night on my way home from work. I love El Pollo Loco. The south street one is open until 11pm. Everytime I arrive at 1030 I am told either there is no more chicken or no more breasts. If this is the case then close at 1030 or make sure I can have the meal I want! One time I even questioned the girl at the window and she sarcastically said, " you know sir it is 1030" and my response was "yes I know and you are open until 11pm". If you cannot satisfy the consumer then please adjust your hours of operation. Thank you!

Went to the Woodruff and South location a hour ago (2/2/19) I bought a double chicken bowl and it wasnt double anything. My chicken bowl looked nothing like the bowl I ordered from the Anaheim and Redondo store the night before. The chicken was dry and the beans were so watery.. I can't believe I paid for that ! Will not be going back to this location. STEP YOUR GAME UP. The Paramount and Carson and the Clark and Stearns locations would never sale horrible food like that. The Service was ok..food horrible.

I wanted to leave but I couldn’t I had a car in front and one in the back .i like it because it’s close to my house but i guess next time I rather driver farther then get that service . I always loved el pollo loco's flavor and fresh salsa. B.r.c. burritos were 99 cents and now they are 2.99. Our family used to get el pollo loco at least 3 times a month. Now we have stopped due to the insane prices. The burritos even got smaller. By more than 50%. What happened? Corporate greed. Until you guys get real with your prices, im done. Coming from someone who has eaten your food for 25 years it's so sad to see what's happening to your business. Goodbye.

6/23/23. I ordered catering via phone when the app confused me. I came in to pay and got charged TWICE! WHY? Cuz the register didn't print out my receipt the FIRST TIME. This has happened to others before. FIX THE SYSTEM. Beware paying via card for catering! $250, two times and the employee wanted me to do it a THIRD time to try it again! NO THANK YOU. We have eaten here regularly before so I thought I'd cater. Not again. While the register didn't finish the process I was still charged twice! NOT OKAY! The people were kind. The system sucks! Now I have to wait 3 days for the charges to clear! Worst part was she rebooted the register and had no history of my transaction. 🧐

i was there 12/11/2017 time 820 pm that was 20 min ago. Just got off work and wanted chicken. Had a $12 or 12 pieces, Leg and Thigh coupon. Got there was told there was no more thighs. The cashier told me you can have the Mix meat. I asked same price, but was told $3 more. I'm not going to even explain why? ..Wasted my time going there but hey i didn't get burnt chicken like last time. I left without any chicken and went home. Yelp posting is next

Their listed phone number does not work. I have been waiting 20 minutes for my Curbside pick up order and NO ONE has come out! EDIT: So I had to go in, which defeats the purpose of CURBSIDE PICK UP! I spoke with a Female employee who was very rude. I told her that I had been waiting outside for my order and she replied: "I went out there and didn't see you! Where were you!?" So if the App tells them we are there and they dont see the Customer, THAT'S IT!?? They stop checking??? Unacceptable! I also submitted a complaint on the official Website. Let's see if they reply.

I ordered the new Birilla Stuffed Quesedilla, which on the menu it looks like a crunchwrap from Taco Bell, when I got home and opened it up, it looked like this, about half the size it should be, you can see just by looking at how its folded up. I paid $10 for this tiny little thing?!

Horrible the lady at the window was rude and impolite and I ordered a classic chicken burrito but got no chicken but some kind of nasty thing I dont know how to describe it but I have a picture of it.

Just left the restaurant on South street and had the most awful customer service experience ever. I order the exact same thing every time I visit. I get the vegetarian original pollo bowl combo for $7.13. Today a young lady was helping me and the price kept going up and she got tempermental with me. I just decided to leave. If your job is to interface directly with the customer make sure your attitude is right. I was taught restraint and to get the right help for the customer. Yaya needs to decide if customer service fits her personality. This can't be a one-time incident.... seems to reflect the onsight management.

30min for 4 cars in the drive thru.......during peak lunch hour. I'm not exactly sure how they plan on staying open with these slow workers. They really have to inspect this location. Definitely never going to this specific location ever. I don't get the lack of urgency. P.s. Every single time I eat at Pollo loco I throw the pico away. Just stop trying to make it lol....it's not good...I've tried it a few times.
