Chili's in Lancaster is a popular spot with great food and service. Customers rave about the Cajun Honey chicken fingers, roast beef sandwich, and French onion soup. Some found the gravy too salty or the shepherd's pie underwhelming.

Had the combo #2 and got the wings Montana style which were SO GOOD! The service from the second we walked in the door to the time we left was exceptional. Our server did an amazing job and recommended the wings, she provided 10/10 service. The owner was very nice & outgoing, he was walking around helping out the staff and checking in on tables. Definitely making dinner @ JP’s a regular date night!
Great food, fun atmosphere! Great service!
Delicious food. Friendly, attentive service. For an Irish place it was nice and bright in the dining area the bar area seemed darker though if that's the atmosphere you're looking for. Family friendly, kids meals were a good size and only $4! Very satisfied with my experience, would certainly go again and recommend to friends.
Always have a great meal there. Service is great. Big fan of their hot roast beef sandwich. Prices are reasonable too.
One of my favorite places to get food when visiting Buffalo!
HIGHLY recommend this place!!! Atmosphere is nice, wait staff we encountered were amazing and food is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! I definitely recommend the french onion soup and the reuben burger! So tasty and cooked to perfection
I wanted the Roast beef on weck but I accidentally ordered the hot roast beef online to go. when I asked the lady at the restaurant if I ordered the beef on weck. she said no but so you want to change it. I told her no it's okay I didn't want to inconvenience them. She said okay but when I got home with my food she gave me roast beef weck . I was so happy that she did that for me. this place is an awesome establishment I will go there again.
Usually we always have the combo wings and beef without disappointment. Our last visit wasn't so great our wings and beef was served with a taste and texture of food that was served from a buffet sitting all day The wait was no longer than usual. The waitress told us that the wings take longer to prepare and that was an issue for them this evening. Yes we will return with hopes, that it was just a fluke of nature and the food will return to the great flavor and texture the wings and beef should be as expected from the great establishment.
Great staff Great food couldn't ask for anything better. We go to a lot of places for dinner, but we always go there much more
The food was amazing and reasonably priced! 5 dollar kids menu! Their signature irish red beer is outstanding! Our waitress was as sweet as pie and so good to my little boy. They get an A plus for cleanliness! So good we're going back for Mom's birthday dinner and St. Paddy's celebration! There's plenty of seating and separate from the bar, which is great for families.
One of the best French Onion soups I've ever had, followed by an outstanding burger, "The Gypsy Pete". The service, as usual, was outstanding, and the holiday spirit was in full swing. I highly recommend this Hamburg favorite!
A very rustic, down to earth place. Friendly and GENUINE staff. The food was quick to the table, timed out well, and was absolutely delicious. Been a long time since I had Bangers... so good, and for an underrated gem is the Irish Potato Skins. Fantastic. Will certainly be back.
I love this place! Me and my family always go here and the service is amazing. The manager and the workers here are all nice and the food is amazing. They have multiple rooms you can dine in and you get in there pretty fast so it's a good place to go if your in a rush or need some good food. The service and atmosphere of this place is wonderful I recommend this place to anyone.
We LOVE it here. We’ve been going here for years as a family. It’s a staple for us. The best French onion soup - no one compares. Love the combos, Irish dip and beef on weck. Their chicken wings are our favorite! Great atmosphere and a very kind staff. Worth the wait when it’s busy! Thank you!!
Great meal. Came recommended by our hotel. Food was incredible. Husband had their Reuben sandwich, which he usually likes with pastrami. But their corned beef was super tender with no fat. Very impressed. And their rye bread is made fresh daily! Excellent all around. Highly recommended!
We highly recommend eating here. This gem is a place we stumbled upon when we were visiting the area. I am so glad we did. My kids enjoyed the wings, I had the mini beef on weck and a cup of beer cheese soup. The pretzel sticks and cheese dip were also amazing!
Good was amazing. Service was even better ! Will certainly be back! The wings were superb! French onion soup was DELICIOUS! And I loved the option the get a cup instead of the full crock!
Food is always excellent, service is good. They have a large menu with something for everyone. Bangers and mash were very good and make sure you gave their French onion soup!
Fabulous place for families or friends to gather for a terrific meal! Absolutely delicious food! Definitely Kimmy-Sue Tested and Approved 💋🇺🇲💖
Bar and restaurant so the place is open late! The food and atmosphere is great. I got the beer cheese soup and the Mediterranean platter. Their fries that come with meals are always fresh and hot. The restaurant sits on the corner so the parking lot is huge (which is needed because it's always busy in there!) Definitely worth a try and waiting to come back again!
I have been coming here for over 20 years and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience. The food is amazing. The service is experienced and friendly. Thank you for never disappointing!
I placed a Togo order and everyone's order was very good and correct!! Absolutely no complaints.
JP's is an absolute treasure in Hamburg, NY. They have a big menu and everything on it is fantastic. I love their Irish Fare dishes. The corned beef dishes are awesome. Their French onion soup is really good and they have great fish frys.
Had the seasonal skillet and enjoyed it very much! My dad had the Super Mcgree and that sandwich was a sight to behold! He almost ate the entirety (large portions here so bring your appetite). Our server Jackie was amazing!!
The food was delicious and so was the service from Tryce. We will definitely be back
Food was excellent, our server Jaclyn was fantastic!
We stopped in Hamburg, New York on our travels. This restaurant was suggested to us and we were so glad we tried it out. Food was great, the atmosphere was boisterous and our waitress was extremely friendly. My husband had to fries with gravy and I mentioned I was a vegetarian and she came over with my own fries without gravy! Ginny was very friendly.
Always worth the stop. Food is always great and the service is top of the line.
Love this place! Have always had a great meal, they have a good beer selection and the staff is excellent... always friendly and on top of things.
Thank you! Great service and food. A wonderful Christmas Eve tradition.
Very Irish, nice wood trim, one dining room was named the Guinness Room
Often very crowded during times when people are not working, food is great; drinks are good - they do have a bouncer at the door on Friday Saturday Sunday.
My family and I have been coming here for years. Such a lovely place to be where everyone knows your name.
The food is great and they offer a large menu with several Buffalo staples to choose from. The wait time wasn't the greatest but the food is so delicious, so it was worth the wait!
Delicious Reuben sandwich here, you do not want to skip it. Went here with some friends and we had a great time with quick service.
We’ve been going to JP‘s for over 30 years. Always a good experience and great food.
Very cozy pub restaurant. We love going there and trying new things. The food has always been fresh and delicious and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Wonderful place to take out of town friends to. Only thing to be aware of is that it can be very busy on the weekends so there may be a long wait during dinner hours. It's an awesome place though even just to grab a drink and some appetizers and relax on the in between hours.
Visit every time we come to visit our son at Hilbert College! Love this place! The food, drinks especially the French Onion soup!
Exactly what I needed to watch a trash Superbowl. The staff was very friendly, the food was damn good, and drinks were better than they needed to be.
Tonight was our first time here. Excellent service and food! We really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend 👌
What a fun place to eat. They have something for everyone's taste and everything is really delicious. Bridget was so nice. We really enjoyed our first time here.
It was our first time at JP Fitzgeralds and it was fantastic! We were seated quickly and our server was really friendly. We had the shepherds pie, fish fry and roast beef and it was all excellent! We even took home a small homemade rye bread that they make onsite. We'll be sure to go back and try more from their extensive menu.
Server had a serious attitude food was cold when we got it and ok at best. First time there never again. **Update - Owner responder back to me and thanked me for letting him know what happened and he said he was personal going to handle it. Not many take action like that. I get everyone has a bad day and look forward to giving it another chance. Again thank you for addressing concern with me.
The restaurant is friendly, bright and clean. The food was deliciousI had a creme brulee martini, and it was also delicious. I would suggest reservations if it's a high traffic time of day.
We ordered for takeout. Roast beef sandwich, 5 wings and onion rings! Good food, we'll be back for sure.
Always a great experience when we visit. Food is great, service is top tier, and the only hard part is the parking because they're amazing!
We stopped in on gameday for some lunch before heading to the stadium. I have nothing by good things to say. The restaurant was still decorated for Christmas and was very pretty. Our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our food came fast and was all good. My wife's French onion soup was excellent. My Reuben was ok, but for a place calling it western NYs best I guess I expected a little more? We will be back. There's tons of delicious looking menu items
We had a great visit to JP Fitzgeralds. This is a fun, comfortable Irish Pub with lots of space, excellant service, fresh food, and a large beer offering. They bake their rye bread and rolls fresh daily and you can taste the difference Our sandwhiches were delicious, the wings were perfect *crispy golden outside, juicy inside, and the french onion soup was cheesy gooey goodness! Space is divided in different rooms which helps manage the noise level. Outdoor seating, spacious bar area. Large oarjubg litt. Carryout and cateering. What we tried: French Onion Soup Beef on Weck: Slowly roasted beef sliced and piled on a fresh baked weck roll. The Buffalo Combo: 1 mini beef on weck, 5 chicken wings and waflle fries. My rating rationale +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value
Great food, great service and reasonable prices. The room where were seated was a little noisy - but we had a table for 6 in the center of the room. I will definitely go there again when back in town but ask to be seated in the garden room or outside.
Friday evening we were a party of eight. I received my meal corn, beef and cabbage and was extremely disappointed the corned beef, nothing but shaved beef and it was warm and absolutely no flavor After we left, my husband told me his salmon dinner was totally dry. We did not say anything to The server as we were a party of eight and I did not want to disrupt the evening. I contacted the manager the next day and explain the situation. Her comment was we should’ve mentioned it to the server and she was sorry it happened and she’ll mention it to the kitchen and that was it. This was our first time at Fitzgerald‘s and it will probably be our last to think that we spent a lot of money on dinners and drinks and that was all she had to say was she will Make the kitchen aware It also took us over an hour for our meal to be served her comment was she was working, and she had no ticket that indicated a meal was served over an hour after received in the kitchen I posted this Saturday and for some reason when I went back to check it out today, my posting was not available
I never miss a visit to JP Fitzgerald's when I'm in town. Have to get my fix of the open faced Reuben! Never disappointed! The service was great as well and the staff does a fantastic job of cleaning up after each table is cleared. So consistently great! Thanks again for always providing excellent food and service!
My wife and I went here on a Saturday night. We shared a plate of traditional skins. My wife had the taco salad, and I had the cheeseburger with bacon and mushrooms (additional toppings). The food was very delicious. Our beers were the JP's Irish Red. The beer was very tasty and we enjoyed them. We sat on the patio and we were able to hear our conversation. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. I would recommend visiting here for a nice comfortable meal.
Mercy! The #1 “combo” with wings and roast beef sandwich and waffle fries. It was a spiritual awakening. I think I may have teared up at first bite. Started things out with a “Sloop Juice Bomb” IPA which set the tone nicely. I live 6 hours from this place but will hope for a reason to come back soon. The bartender, Sarah was engaging and delightful. She made an outsider feel right at home.
Loved the iconic vibes in this cozy little (really big inside) spot. I highly recommend the sweet Potato Fries, they were nice and crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. They were thee BEST I've ever had. Also, they make their own 🍞 bread, and the seedless rye is what I prefer. The cheddar beer soup is a must have ever time I go now. Thank you for everything. Nothing bad to say at all.
This is a great local spot to grab drinks and food! Customer service is outstanding and the food is excellent. I was there for a book club meeting and though the group was more than 12 individuals, we were able to have separate checks and sit together at the garden room. It was very comfortable and felt very much like a personalized experience. It wasn't St. Patty's day, but I ordered corned beef and cabbage to satisfy my craving!
Kinda like a family hooters kinda vibe. Bar was packed and playing good music. Dining area was pretty with the Christmas tree all done up. Average food and drink with average prices. I’d have to get paid more to wear shorts in mid winter so props to all the women working there 👏🏻👏🏻
The food was very good. They make their own rye bread, so I had to have the Ruben sandwich. It was delicious. A grilled chicken wedge salad and a mini beef on weck rounded out the table. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
Great service & food. I was also there for a baby shower and a Funeral Brunch. Very good varieties sit down or banquet style.
We had a reservation for 7:15, but didn't get seated until 7:45. Kinda defeated the purpose of a reservation. The fact that we were hungry when we got there only made that situation worse. Food was really good. Kim, our wait staff was excellent.
Great patio for day drinking! Good staff and prompt service. Heard the food is really good but was unable to partake. Best bar popcorn I've ever had that. Beer was cold and flowing well.
Busy which tells me a place is good. Reasonable, we had a great server.
For an Irish pub/restaurant, they have a surprisingly diverse menu, inluding Mexican, Italian, and health-conscious dishes. Their Irish dishes seem to consist of only beef (corned beef) and numerous Reubens. No lamb? No boxty? No matter, we really enjoyed the quinoa bowls. They can accommodate large groups.
Had a small party in the bar area!! Food and staff were amazing.
Food was very tasty. For folks who would like a paper credit receipt be sure to ask up front otherwise checkout with the servers card scanner is easy.
Good local spot for all the Buffalo bar food favorites and then some. Food is usually good and consistent. Lots of cocktail and bottled/ canned drink options, definitely an upscale bar offering and not a pub. There is a section of the menu which also has some healthy but delicious entrees. Lots of room with a huge indoor seating area, outdoor patio and tons of TV’s in the bar to watch the big game. This time we sat on the patio, there was plenty of space between tables. We ordered the combo 1 and shepherds pie. Combo 1 was good and same as it always is, flavorful and cooked properly. The beef was tender and the Montana wings and sweet potato fries were crispy. The shepherds pie was ok, could have used more gravy. The staff was wearing masks and the service was good. I am taking off a star because there were young men waiting inside for a table at the hostess stand area, waiting for a table, masks off and drinking. Several waitresses walked by and didn’t ask them to step outside or put their masks back on. During our dinner the same young men, in a group of 8-10, came outside on the patio area and smoked and vaped around other patrons. Again the staff didn’t ask them to step to the parking lot, which is 5 steps off the patio, and let them crowd around guests who were eating at a table. I hope this was an off day, I don’t feel comfortable coming back to a place which allows other guests to do as they please in a pandemic.
Relaxed, friendly atmosphere in this restaurant, and we were promptly seated. We ordered the shepherd's pie and a Reuben. I was disappointed that the mashed potatoes were most of the shepherd's pie, when most are 50-50 for meat and potatoes. The scant 25% of the dishes was a very good pot roast, gravy and veggies, but getting to this thin layer was difficult. The raspberry cheesecake was very good, but the chocolate mousse cake layers were a bit dry.
Just ordered fingers and they were small- very small not worth 40+ bucks. Services is always good there, put it was a pick up. Feels like every time we order take out, the portion are small or they forgot something
I didn’t like the place. The waiter seemed to have something going on and did the bare minimum. The atmosphere was so so. Didn’t like the fish fry. The quality of the fish is mediocre. The inside is getting old and hasn’t had any work done on anything in years. I would not go there again.
I sat in bar and waited, but no server ever came by. I ended up leaving - will look for somewhere that wants my business. Too bad - sounded like they had some good things on the menu. update after owner response: I may have missed any notice that this was the case and in that event apologize. however, it may be helpful to let people know (small sign?) - especially people from out of town who aren't familiar with your restaurant. Irish style pubs are one of my favorites so always look for those.
Wing s were ordered medium.and were small and dry, the fingers were paper thin and flavorless, but the roast beef was very good
Big place with outdoor seating. Huge menu. I do not recommend any Mecican items. Beer cheese soup was good as are there chicken tenders. Overall, good place for family dinners. Super friendly staff.
Great building and service but food was disappointing. Ordered blackened salmon ($27) which was dry and contained bones. Shrimp in appetizer was tough. Mashed potatoes weren't very good either. Potatoes skins and broccoli were delicious. Water was served in plastic glasses. Be careful what you order.
Nice atmosphere and service, but the gravy they had with the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich and mashed potatoes was too salty. Not worth the $17 they charge for it. My party's dishes looked much better for the price (Buffalo Combos & Pasta Broccoli).
I ordered the shepherds pie and quite frankly it was underwhelming. The meat was very subpar and flavorless, the vegetables were like a vegetable medley mix from the frozen section, and the mashed potatoes were also plain and under spiced. it reminded me of one of those gross hungry man meals from the frozen section that I had when I was in my teen. needless to say your average person, probably wouldn’t notice the difference from the gruel that they eat at home. but you can really taste the savings in every bite. I’m sad because traditionally this dish is made with lamb and this was just incredibly Underwhelming. The server was very nice and the atmosphere was bight, clean and roared with laughter and merriment.
This is a rating based on the food we ordered that day. I have dined here before and the food was amazing. I returned to get the Pasta Broccoli, that I had missed on a previous visit. It is suppose to be the recipe from Tina's. I miss that place but 4 of us ordered it and it was Very disappointing. There was absolutely No flavor. NONE!. We were all just silent, until my daughter spoke up. We always went with my Mother to Tina's and the Pata Broccoli was our favorite, which is why we went to JP'S for my Mother's 1st heavenly Birthday and sadly it wasn't a great experience. With that said, would I return to the restaurant..Yes, just not for that particular dish.
We were there on Sunday the 15th for my Mom's birthday. We were a party of 11. It took 45 minutes before someone took our orders. The drinks were slow coming. The waitress may have been preoccupied. I ordered a Ceasars wrap and fries. The fries were barely warm. The wrap did not have dressing. My nephew got lasagna and the portion was small. We have been there numerous times, and had my late son in law's funeral luncheon there, with no problem.
Went to this restaurant back in October,it was really good food, party of four adults It was October,so we didn't mind sitting in the back in closed porch, but it was drafty, food was good,so we decided to stop by the first weekend in March, 2025 Myself my husband my child, Ordered chicken fingers and Fry's, Corn beef dinner, and shepherds pie And soda and tea The waitress was polite, brought us drinks Then we ordered, I took a sip of my tea, and it's was flat and tasted like mold, I pushed it a side and ordered a sprite ,that was flat and also tasted like mold, I took my child's drink Root beer, that was moldy was well , that was disgusting, Please clean and flush your lines, gross Chicken fingers were very over cooked, and dry ,they hid a burnt one at the very bottom, and the Fry's tasted like fish. Corn beef dinner, half of cabbage, and two carrots, literally one half of a large carrot cut in half, really ? And shaved corned beef, the corn beef was dry, and come on who wants a shaved lunch meat style slices as dinner?? It was food ,that's All nothing special! The shepherd's pie, was dry, nothing like we had in October, it was water down gravy, and hardly any at that, the filling was minimal Over All the bill was $80.00 , just unreal for frozen food basically, and if your a Irish bar, and you are pre making the food to freeze, it should be a dam good ,dish to begin with! Very disappointed. They had maybe eight people working the floor that's with the bar, How do you over cook chicken fingers,?? How about flushing them soda lines before someone really gets sick , that's has health issues! To say the least, just save yourself the time ,and only order a, beer I guess Do better, retrain, clean up your restaurant, And put pants on the staff !! It's not a great look ! And cook some real food
i am so disappointed here, and i never thought this would happen here, but I'm also not surprised. We had planned a large family dinner celebration for 12 people on Friday night, my one family member had called not once but twice this week starting since Wednesday, to make the reservation and calling again to make sure it was for sure okay and a good reservation, being told it was OK just would be 2 tables near each other, but same room.. ok fine. I get there about 5-8 min early to check in, right away it wasn't nice, the 2 girls and 1 man at the desk were so rude right away once i said "here for party of 12", being told we would be split up in separate rooms, they don't do large parties like this on Fridays, its policy they don't guarantee being near each other or same room with parties that large. They then told us if we want to be in the same room, we can wait till they figure it out, so we wait about 30ish min, we ended up leaving and getting a table right away at another local/small family owned business. Oh, and as we were walking out the door, another worker tried to chase us down and telling us "your tables have been ready we just have to wait for the kitchen to catch up". None of that was stated the time we sat and waited, they just saw money walking out the door, so incredibly sad, if you don't accommodate large parties, don't take the reservation end of story. Jps has been a staple for my whole family and now i truly don't have any urge to walk back into that place.
Fish fry is super greasy and they jew you on the portions and you're lucky to get half a teaspoon of tartar sauce
Today I had people out who have disabilities that were excited to go out for lunch until we got there and started to be treated “differently”. The waitress was very UNWELCOMING, made rude comments, stared, and wasn’t treating them like human beings. We only have a certain amount of money that they were allowed to leave for a tip, we left what we are allowed to since they only have so much to spend and the waitress Megan was very ungrateful and started with the rude comments towards us again. Tried to speak to someone because they were upsetting the individuals and turned into an argument how “we” were an issue and not the waitress. We weren’t even going to leave a tip with the bad service but we know that this is some people’s livings and we left what we could. Our individuals already have a hard time in life being judged, this was very unacceptable to see a grown WOMEN being this nasty towards them. Please do better and train your staff to treat everyone with respect!
Amazing food. Smoking area on the deck 5 ft from dining tables. Would not have sat on the deck if we knew that’s where we would have a stream of folks standing to smoke. By the looks they were making, other families didn’t love it either.
Very disappointed lately in this establishment and I now understand why the ratings for this business have gone down. When you order a meal, you expect to get what you ordered, not an I am sorry we forgot. Well while they forgot components to my meal, the actual meal itself became cold and unable to consume. Front desk girls very unhelpful. Refusing to let me speak to management. Just terrible as this restaurant WAS always my go to when working in the area.
Never actually ate here but two friends of mine left 1 star reviews in our green group chat. As the good friend I am I shall leave this review in their stead. “Only good thing was my Diet Pepsi.”
