We had a great experience at Morimoto. The service was excellent, and our waiter Steve truly made the night. He’s been there a long time and it shows—his knowledge of the menu is impressive. Steve helped us create a personalized appetizer platter, and every suggestion was perfectly aligned with our mood. Each dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and balanced without being overwhelming. The presentation was beautiful and elevated the whole experience. Attentive service, thoughtful recommendations, and consistently great flavors made this a memorable meal. We’ll definitely be back.
Excellent Sushi! Wait staff was very helpful offering suggestions. The service was excellent. This is my second visit there and I've had a great experience both times. Prices are reasonable for the service and the quality of food that you receive. Noise level was fairly high in there because we were close to the bar and basketball were games on. They were really full throughout the whole restaurant, so there wasn't a lot of other options of where to set . As far as prices, it was fair for the quality of food we received. When you walk into a restaurant that is offering high-quality Sushi you know that you're going to pay for it and that's what you are prepared to do. It's all about a memorable enjoyable experience in a setting that is outside the norm of what you would typically do. It's a gift to yourself.
Morimoto has long been my favorite Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas, and its recent renovation provided the perfect reason to return. The refreshed space feels elevated while still preserving the restaurant's signature atmosphere. As expected, the fish were exceptionally fresh, with each piece showcasing clean, precise flavors. However, the standout of the evening was unquestionably the lobster bun. The tender lobster, thoughtfully seasoned dressing, and pillowy bun came together in a perfectly balanced bite--rich, satisfying, and beautifully executed. The pear cocktail was another highlight, offering a bright and refreshing fruity profile that paired seamlessly with the meal. Overall, Morimoto continues to deliver an outstanding dining experience, reaffirming its place at the top of my list in Vegas.
Amazing! I love their tapinkyaki (sp? Hibachi). The lobster was fantastic and my husband got the fillet mignon and it was to die for. Also our chef was fabulous!
What a pleasant dining experience ! Since there were seven of us, they recommended a ‘chefs tasting ‘ of the best they have to offer. The food was truly wonderful. Of the many items we had, the sea bass, wagyu carpaccio, the whitefish carpaccio appetizer, and the pork sticky ribs really stood out. Our waiters were fantastic as was the bartender and ladies who worked the hostess stand.
Had a good time at Morimoto. Aries (our server) was awesome! Such a good guy! Kind, responsive, playful and funny… and the food was so good! Check out the pictures! They speak for themselves!
Everything at Morimoto Las Vegas was absolutely perfect. Our server was top notch and the entire staff worked together seamlessly with truly great teamwork. The hostesses were welcoming and the chefs completely outdid themselves. Every dish was spot on. The toro tartare was such a fun experience with all the different toppings to mix and match. The real standouts were the sticky ribs and the oyster foie gras. We finished with the Bento Box dessert which was delicious and a playful way to end the meal. An overall fantastic dining experience and I would happily come back again.
We came here at the last minute as our prior dinner reservations had issues with their kitchen, and were able to get a seat at the bar and have dinner. The place was packed which we took as a good sign. The bartender was busy but still was giving great service. We ordered the dragon roll which was one of the best sushi we have had and also ordered the black cod which in my opinion is one of the greatest tasting fish. Everything was great and I’m glad we ended up here.
If I could give 10 stars for food and atmosphere I would. Everything we had was stunning. A5 Wagyu did not disappoint, as did the Japanese uni and fresh toro. I had to give 3 stars for service only because our server was not engaging at all and seemed disinterested. Otherwise, a fantastic meal and experience!!
I loved the look of this place so decided to try it out. It did not disappoint. I just sat at a counter by myself. The wait staff were great and I felt like I got the attention I needed and was not rushed or ignored. Only slight offputting observation is that the greeting staff did not seem quite as welcoming or enthusiastic about what they were doing. Probably just a long day! Anyway, I got past that and enjoyed it. The menu had many things I'd like to try when I got back.
Great service, I loved the food. My wife told me that the tiger rolls were the best she ever had( have in mind this is a matter of personal preference and previous experience). Price was fair for a Vegas restaurant.
I AM SO HAPPY!! I went here to celebrate my birthday and the staff went Above and Beyond to make sure I had a great experience! They answered all my 1st-timer questions, they made a delicious cocktail for us and they even recommended dishes to suit our palates! This is fine dining so it's nice to dress up a little.
"What an absolutely amazing experience. I have been a fan of Chef Morimoto since his days on Iron Chef Japan. I never wanted to visit a restaurant of his state side because of the fear it would ruin my perception of him. But finally for me and my wife’s 5th wedding anniversary I said let’s go…and what a bucket list check mark this was! Food - amazing Service (Eddie) - amazing. Special touch - a desert sent out saying happy anniversary came out. 100/100 we will be back for my wife’s birthday trip ..."
We wanted to try one higher-end restaurant during our time in Vegas and Morimoto totally blew us away! Definitely coming back next time we’re in the area. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the presentation was on point, too.
⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ Morimoto Las Vegas – A Birthday Tradition Worth Keeping For the fourth year in a row, I chose Morimoto Las Vegas for my birthday celebration—and once again, it reminded me exactly why this restaurant has become my personal tradition. From the moment you walk in, Morimoto delivers that signature blend of modern elegance, meticulous Japanese craftsmanship, and a touch of theatrical flair. It’s no wonder that visitors from Japan themselves seek it out; this truly is the best Japanese dining experience in Las Vegas. Having grown up watching Iron Chef, I still get a little thrill knowing I’m dining in Chef Morimoto’s culinary world. His creativity, the artistry, the attention to detail—it all comes alive on the table. Drinks: The cocktail program is top notch. Their Japanese whiskey old fashioned is smooth, balanced, and beautifully executed. But the standout was the Geisha’s Secret—a masterpiece of layered, complex flavors. It hits salty, sweet, spicy, and acidic notes all at once, topped with a bubbly cap and delicate floral aromatics. Truly a sensory experience. Food: The Pork Bimi Bop was its usual showstopper, with a presentation that feels like part performance, part comfort food perfection. The maguro sashimi was the highest quality—clean, rich, and impossibly fresh. The Hamachi was tender, moist, and practically melted on the tongue. The kimchi fried rice brought a bold, addictive depth of flavor that tied everything together. Dessert was a perfect finale: the lightest Japanese cheesecake imaginable, paired with a bright orange sauce that gave just the right lift. Service: Our server, Cory, elevated the entire evening. His recommendations were spot on, his timing flawless, and he balanced attentiveness with warmth. He made the night feel special without ever being intrusive—exactly what great service should be. After four birthday visits, I can honestly say Morimoto Las Vegas only gets better. A must-visit for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine, creativity, and exceptional hospitality. I can’t wait to return for birthday number five.
The sushi was good quality fatty tuna that was extremely flavorful. The sea bass did not disappoint it was perfection The desert one of the best cheesecake we ever had. Definitely recommend you to come and check it out. You will NOT be disappointed.
Wonderful atmosphere and service. We happened upon the restaurant on opening night and enjoyed a wonderful sushi dinner. The menu has traditional items as well.
Top tier, top notch, all the tops and hands-down delicious. Been a fan of Chef Morimoto since he stepped on the scene in 1993, so had to give this a try - didn't disappoint. Flavor bombs on every plate as meat melts in your mouth. Our server was amazing - answered all our questions and helped steer is towards items we'd truly love. So good. You can't go wrong with any menu item. 😋
I recently had the chance to dine at Morimoto Las Vegas, and it was an experience I’ll definitely remember. The restaurant itself is stunning—modern, stylish, and full of energy without being overwhelming. The food is where it really shines. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with each piece prepared so beautifully that you almost didn’t want to eat it (but of course, you do!). I also tried one of their signature Wagyu dishes, and it was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth perfection. What I really loved was how the menu mixes traditional Japanese flavors with Chef Morimoto’s creative twists—it felt unique but still authentic. Service was spot-on as well. The staff were attentive without hovering, and they were more than happy to explain dishes and make recommendations. Overall, Morimoto Las Vegas is more than just a dinner spot—it’s a full experience. If you’re looking for a place that combines amazing flavors, artful presentation, and a lively yet sophisticated atmosphere, this is definitely a must-visit.
Everything I tried was very good and I would order it again, see menu pic. The staff were very attentive, helpful and kind. The sticky ribs were tender, the wagyu was well seasoned with a citrus sauce, The sushi was very fresh, The angry Chicken in New York strip were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The fresh green beans were cooked and seasoned well. The shishito peppers were also very good. And the cheesecake dessert was so light and fluffy with the fresh fruit. Great way to end a meal. Loved the unique glasses and black and white photos on the walls.
Morimoto is a premier high-end sushi restaurant that truly stands out in the vibrant dining scene. From the moment we arrived, the clean and sophisticated atmosphere captured our attention, setting the stage for an exceptional culinary experience. The menu offers an impressive variety of dishes, catering to diverse tastes, and I was pleased to find that the restaurant is also kid-friendly, making it a great option for families. I opted for the Angry Chicken, accompanied by white rice and seasoned vegetables, which was both flavorful and satisfying. My husband chose a hearty bowl featuring succulent meat paired with a side of sushi, and he thoroughly enjoyed his selection. The quality of the food was matched by the outstanding customer service, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable including our infant. We are always eager to explore new dining options, and choosing Morimoto was a fantastic decision. If you find yourself in Las Vegas, I highly recommend making this restaurant a part of your dinner plans.
Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The quality and presentation of the food were top-tier — everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. The sashimi and oysters were pristine, and you can really tell they take pride in sourcing high-quality ingredients.Beyond the food, the atmosphere was classy and relaxed, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Every dish came out looking like art, but more importantly, it tasted just as good as it looked. This is the kind of place you come back to — whether it’s for a special occasion or just because you want a genuinely great meal. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend.
Very nice place. Food is Excellent minus the pork over rice. Pork could have been thicker and the dish overall more flavorful. The pork gyoza had more flavor. Not worth the ~$40. The pan fried pork gyoza was probably the best I've ever had. Also the ribeye steak was probably the best I've ever had too. Really tender and flavorful with the sauce. I've been to quite a few steak houses too. The side of duck fried rice was good. The Chef's choice sushi was good too...very fresh. The service here is excellent!!! The waiter and busboy were great. I was told Morimoto needs to show up to restaurant 4 times a year which I think is great and more celeb chefs should do it. I would return here overall and recommend.
Food is amazing. We went twice and both times were great. Get the gyoza!
What a great experience we had. my children love sushi 10,13 and 14 so when we go to Vegas, we definitely make sure we eat sushi.we live in Denver and we don’t have the best sushi spots . What a treat we got to experience the great chef himself in the restaurant not only was he Super cool he made sure our food was prepared ro his standards and took the time to explain to my children What part of the fish they were eating. not only did we get to interact and take some photos. It was a great all-around experience. The truth is I was Way more excited than my kids.one day when they’re old enough, they’ll look back and really appreciate this.
Definitely a phenomenal experience at this wonderful restaurant! A dream of mine has always been to eat here, I finally did and the anticipation was worth it. First of all we were a day early for our reservation and the host fixed this issue for us and seated us. Once we sat everything happened so quick. We arrived at 8pm and by 8:35pm we were done eating! Such great service and our server was amazing and attentive! Thank you!
Been a fan of Chef Morimoto since his early days at the food network and I was super excited to try his restaurant and it did not disappoint. The sushi was excellent, the sashimi was top notch! I had three kinds of fatty tuna which were just delightful! The wagyu was perfect, the drinks packed a punch. The service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful with great dining atmosphere. I was a really enjoyable meal!
This was a fun experience. It is a more laid back vibe compared to some of the other sushi restaurants i’ve dined at. Our waiter was very nice and funny. The sushi was fresh and i especially loved the rolls i got. Both of the desserts we ordered were delicious and plated beautifully. The chocolate one was our favorite. They also have amazing espresso martinis which were a big hit for our group.
Steak was cooked to perfection. It was juicy, flavorful and decent in size. Loved the service. I’ll be going here again on my next trip.
My recent dining experience at Morimoto in Las Vegas was exceptional. The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh, with the fish practically melting in my mouth. The chefs' meticulous attention to detail was evident in every bite, highlighting the natural flavors of the high-quality ingredients. The presentation of each dish was a work of art, showcasing vibrant colors and textures that were almost too beautiful to eat. The restaurant's ambiance was also remarkable, contributing to an overall aesthetic and delightful meal.
Dining at Morimoto in the MGM Grand was an extraordinary experience that left a lasting impression. The service was impeccable, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and allowing our group to enjoy the evening at our own pace. Despite being part of a large party, we never felt rushed, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail contributed to a seamless and memorable evening. For my meat-eating friends, the rave reviews about the tuna tacos, pork chops, and seabass were unanimous—they described the dishes as masterfully prepared and bursting with flavor. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled by the restaurant’s flexibility and dedication to accommodating my preferences. The avocado rolls and pickled vegetable rolls were refreshing, innovative, and made me feel genuinely welcomed in a cuisine that often prioritizes seafood and meat. To cap off the evening, we indulged in the fiery chocolate tart, which was truly a masterpiece. Its bold flavors and perfectly executed textures made it an unforgettable dessert and an absolute must-try. Morimoto combines world-class cuisine with outstanding service, creating a dining experience that’s perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone seeking an upscale, flavorful, and welcoming meal at the MGM Grand. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian like me, the care and creativity that Morimoto offers will leave you planning your next visit.
Cannot recommend enough! Went in for dinner with some friends and everything was outstanding - the service (Ken was our server), the food, and the atmosphere. I got the Chilean Sea Bass and it was the absolute flakiest I've ever had. The Brussels sprouts were another favorite, and of course the beef carpaccio! The desserts were amazing as well - it was my first time trying the Japanese cheesecake and it was SO light and fluffy, I don't think I can go back to NY cheesecake after that! Be prepared to spend some $$$ but it's absolutely worth it!
Excellent setting and friendly staff, with the Expected, impeccable food selection of Chef Morimoto. I tried the chirashi — it was great, balanced and a large portion, which left little room for my second choice — a perfect korobuta pork chop nicely paired with kimchee.
Great food and great service! It was a great experience. Food tasted fresh and clean! The Ishi Yaki Buri Bop was a real delight! And the Strawberry Yamamomo Panna Cotta was one of the best dessert I've had in a long time! I'm not even a Strawberry guy, and I devoured this dessert!!
Speechless 🤤 everything was perfect and delicious! The facility is gorgeous. I get this feeling that im walking through a gallery filled with articles on walls, carefully curated fixtures and pieces of furniture representing different forms of artistic expression (i will let my pix speak for themselves). To the teams busily working behind the scenes and in the kitchen, THANK YOU for creating dishes that resemble a work of art while delivering an astonishing level of detail in edible deliciousness. The service and staff were outstanding. When you are staying at the MGM Grand, you have to try Morimoto, you wont be disappointed.
My wife and I stopped at Morimoto at MGM for a quick bite before a show, and it was fantastic. The service was prompt, attentive, and perfectly timed for our schedule. The dishes were beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients and bold, balanced flavors. The tuna pizza and wagyu tacos were absolute standouts, and the cocktails complemented the meal perfectly. It was an elevated dining experience that set the tone for a great evening. Highly recommend for anyone visiting MGM!
Food was so good! Went for 21st birthday celebration & it was amazing. The duck fried rice is the best rice I’ve ever had. The chasu bop bowls are incredible and it’s so fun that they make it tableside. but the very best thing that we tasted out of what we had ordered was the Chilean sea bass. TO DIE FOR. super fun vibey spot for a celebration. The drinks were also amazing & had great presentations!
Absolutely amazing! The Chirashi bowl was so delicious and the Dessert Sampler was literally a show stopper!!
This location was so good! We have always loved Chef Morimoto and have been to three of his other locations (NY, Napa, and Orlando). We came in with high expectations and this Vegas Restaurant did not disappoint! We tried several dishes and a variety of sushi.
Divine! We had a lovely experience at morimotos, our server Steve was incredibly knowledgeable and insightful with some killer recommendations! We highly recommend the white fish carpaccio and the octopus carpaccio (although remember octopus has a chewe texture, so if you ain’t had octopus before be warned) it’s incredible! Also had some amazing sushi, fab cocktails and the pièce de résistance we had the oyster foie de gras which is the best thing I have put in my mouth ever. We cannot comprehend the complexity and simplicity of the flavours but the texture is one of clouds, purely magical. We wanna think all the team at morimotos that made our experience grand. You’ll rock, especially you Steve!
Absolutely amazing. Every time we visit from Canada. Truman takes care of us like a superstar! We let him take care of our order and in the last 4 visits, have had different courses every single time. The food is amazing, that pretty much goes without saying, as is the ambience. But the service level from every individual is second to none! Thank you from Paul & Tracey Robinson from BC, Canada
Visited with my partner this evening and tried lots of different items on the menu. I can honestly say, every single dish we tasted was top notch! So full of flavour and well presented. On top of this our waiter Steve was incredible. Attentive, welcoming and very knowledgable. He provided great recommendations and is a true asset to the business. Thank you for a great time.
We had a fun experience here with an elevated ambiance to set the mood. We started off with a lovely seasonal salad that was balanced with fresh greens, miso vinaigrette, and pine nuts for texture. The beef short ribs were a bit tough, but the mashed potatoes were decadent and buttery while the broiled Chilean sea bass was light and flaky. Overall it was a good dinner~
Excited to attend their soft opening. Just fortunate to be in Vegas for this. Mr. Morimoto was there overseeing everything. The toro Tartare was yummy. It was an experience to put it together and eat it with all the items that came with it. White fish carpaccio was delicious. Love the dressing Pork sticky ribs was a must. The Brussels were delicious. Just keep in mind the sauce was at the bottom. The Chilean Sea Bass though fell short. It just was not all that flavorful. For the money I was expecting something more instead I got something I wouldn't order again. We also got a tiger roll and that was delicious too. We picked up the s'mores dessert thing. I think it was just a bit too busy. I did enjoy the raspberry coulie. Our server was exceptional. He was patient, gave good suggestions and service overall was splendid.
Solid Japanese food. We really enjoyed it. So very glad they had COKE PRODUCTS. Seems Vegas has been taken over by Pepsi. The prices seemed a little high. Sushi was wonderful. Just not an inexpensive place. Be ready for that.
Terrific dining experience. Food quality and presentation was top notch. Servers took great care of the table. Definitely a must try.
Overall a great experience. Of course I couldn’t try everything, but the things I did were lovely. I only wish they had a few more creative dishes, broths, and sauces , like those chef Morimoto is famous for.
Was a tad disappointed. Place is lovely. Wait staff professional. Food and particularly drinks were not quite up to the name brand. Sushi was the best out of everything. Salmon dish was too bland. Dessert was a good balance to complete the meal. If you try it, set expectations at the decent Japanese restaurant level.
Super Extremely overpriced Sushi- same quality would cost 1/3 someplace else. Our check came to $ 465.00 - drinking only water- no alcohol. $405 + 60 tip. Our table was set with water glasses straight from the dishwasher- way too hot for water. I corrected that immediately. But after that small oversight, wait staff was attentive. Overall experience - Forgettable. Do not recommend - save your money go somewhere else.
Underwhelming food with the price tag. Prices are not the issue but when you order Chef's choice for $10/piece and all you get is a typical selection that you normally get at a supermarket you feel ripped off. Best tasting was the baked oysters with uni and foi gras. Sorry, you don't got it. Try harder.
