Naked Fish's Sushi & Grill

if you did not know, naked fish is one of the best and authentic japanese restaurants in las vegas since 2005. we were treated to a wonderful dinner by chef yasuo and his staff. they always have fresh seafood flown from all over the country and japan. we started w/ tamago, mixed tempura, calamari and creamy garlic shrimp. all were amazing! then they brought out their omakase sashimi platter which my husband and i devoured in minutes! some of the fave bites were the uni, scallops topped w/ ikura, chutoro, otoro, salmon belly, and hamachi. this was followed by a massive tuna collar (note this was only half of the collar-pic below) from one of his recent tuna cutting event! grilled to perfection! chef yasuo is a familiar face behind several amazing tuna cutting events, and a mentor to a lot of sushi chefs in town. highly recommend and an absolutely pleasure to dine at his restaurant!

Cozy place in an unassuming strip mall offering absolutely SUPERB food. I think they can only seat around 30 people and the word is out so reservations are highly recommended. I would not suggest brining children. We went on a Friday night. The service was excellent and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Pics are mixed sashimi, Dark Circle roll, salmon skin roll, chu toro (amazing!) and unagi. Delicious!!

4.7 this place was amazing. Hard to get a seat but set reservations uts worth it! Honestly everything was amazing quality and the UNI! OmG so fresh and sweet. Think one my fave sushi places in vegas

Great experience. Very small, intimate spot. Food was amazing. They have different daily specials I guess. We had salmon belly tempura that was to die for. Fresh barracuda, fresh Japanese snapper, fresh Japanese trout. WSOP roll was my favorite. My girlfriend and I went and our bill came out to $100.13, which is pretty much what we expected. This isn’t an AYCE spot. The stuffed mussels... just order them. Amazing... We really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. We will 100% be back again!

Consistently good. In Vegas many restaurants have come and gone, for t least 10 yrs there's been great service every time we visit , and the fish options are unique and always thoughtfully presented. Happy Hour prices 9pm-1030pm are very affordable for drinks and some rolls/sashimi appetizer. Obviously, will be back again.

The place is small and cozy for a date get away for an hour or so. It’s pretty busy at times so it might take a while to get a table. The garlic edamame is buttery and has a good amount of fresh garlic on it. The salad has a special sauce that gives this dish a unique taste. All sashimi was fresh and has nice chunky pieces. Has plenty more on the menu that need to review…

Excellent sushi and a great atmosphere. I ordered the 15-piece sashimi special and added two more pieces from the daily special menu. Highly recommend!

If you haven’t been or it has been a while you should come in. I have been eating here for 13 years. This is some of the freshest cuts you can find. They, like most places in town, have had some turnover. Yet, I sit here tonight while the owner prepares our sushi and rolls.

Incredible food and service. Quality and presentation were superb. Can’t beat fresh sashimi, and Naked Fish was spot on!

Wide menu to choose from. Recommending to sit at the bar for a more fun experience. You can watch chef make your food. Delicious berry lemonade !

The sushi was great and tastes fantastic. The star I think was the cucumber salad which has a flavor I can't describe. Also try the fried ice cream which is a fun way to end a meal

Hands down my favorite sushi spot. Been coming regularly for about 12 years now. Food and service quality are always the tops! Wanda and Andrew are the bomb diggity.

Amazing. I always get a bunch of nigirizushi and the negi toro handroll. My husband gets the rock and roll #2, fo shizzle my nizzle, and crispy rice. The sushi is always ON POINT. Love this place. Hidden gem.

Best sushi hands down. I've been coming for years. I always try to go to other places and end up realizing there is no better than naked fish. I love the servers they are all so friendly and helpful. I recommend the roppongi roll! Update after going here since 2012! Still amazing and never disappoints. The management does a great job of keeping amazing staff. The food is always amazing! Best of Vegas!

Small, unassuming restaurant that dishes out possibly the best sashimi in Vegas. If you're not into sashimi/nigiri, it might be a waste of money. The rolls, teriyaki, etc are fine but this is really a sashimi foot forward kind of place. Service can be on the laid back side.

David and Bobby made my mom's birthday super special ! They have a special place in the Cirque family , delicious food and great environment . Myom loves coming here all the time , and I'm glad I was able to go with her this time too !! The fish is very fresh. No ayce so you know it's quality !

Top notch high grade sushi. Always impeccable and fresh. One of the best sushi restaurants in Vegas. Constant rotating list of intriguing fish. Service is attentive and considerate. Picture is of Chu Toro. Excelsior!

The place is small and low on seating, but the sushi and chicken teriyaki was to die for and the way the food looked and tasted was outstanding. I hope they grow bigger and put more franchises around Vegas!

This is the only sushi place I go to for the rolls and not doing ayce. High quality fresh rolls and good happy hour specials

It was great. Service is awesome here. Headed back asap! Update: Been here 4 or 5 times now and it's always consistently aweome. So fresh and great taste. Highly recommend this place. Not all you can eat though.

I’m so immensely disappointed I lived next to this restaurant for nearly 15 years and this is my first time dining here. The food here is phenomenal. Outstanding selection. Wanda did an excellent job guiding me to the perfect sake. The salmon I belly sushi was exquisite. I will be back very soon.

We had dinner here for my birthday & were served by the fabulous Wanda in a private room! She was so friendly & helpful with her recommendations. We absolutely loveddd all of our speciality rolls, sashimi, and edamame. Would absolutely come back without hesitation, so so it.

Amazing service and delicious food! Quality sushi, house salad was great, and the agedashi tofu was the best! Small place, but was not super busy on a Tuesday night. Jazz on their radio to set a nice mood.

Best suhi in town. Fresh. Really fresh I was aboit to leave for getting a seat at the bar (it was packed, now I know why), and then I saw this smiling japanese chef. Inspired. Whith delicate and warm touches, shaping the sushi, leaning (lietrally) to take a closer look. Gives you the feeling of making every piece a slice of delicate importance. Sous-chef looking patienly. Learning. The guy on the black shirt, I am sorry but didn't ask his name. He makes you feel you are getting to your own dinning room. A quiet and cozy place with soft chillin-not-snob music. And then Wanda happened. You will never get a better dinner companion. She is not an employee and the restaurant. She completes the unique experience. It delicately reminds me of the fish market in Tokyo. Close experience. Fresh food. Inspired people.

You can't go wrong here ! Naked Fish is our absolute go to sushi spot. The service is great and the fish is the freshest in Vegas. I will never go anywhere else for sushi. We visit multiple times a week and are never disappointed!!

Wanda did an excellent job and the sushi was delicious and some of the best we have ever had. Fair pricing too.

BEST JAPANESE RESTAURANT!!! The food is beautifully presented and the fish is VERY FRESH. Our group of four enjoyed the following: Shrimp Tempura Mix Tempura Miso Chilean Sea Bass California Roll Negi Toro Nigiri Salmon Roe/Ikura Sashimi A (Tuna, Hamachi Salmon) The staff is super friendly. It was a first time for our friends and they said they will definitely return the next time they’re in Vegas. I regret not taking pictures. Shucks!

Inside has dimmed lighting and modern Japanese touches that create an attractive atmosphere. I only took a star off because they were super busy and packed ...I just wanted some nearby sushi. The wait was kinda long and my deep fried little darling roll was too hard and too crispy for what I was expecting. It scratched my throat all the way down even after adding ginger and dipping it in creamy sauce. I dont recommend deep fried rolls for that reason. I know now....my mistake. This is a great restaurant but I didn't feel like I was getting exceptional service and my choice of roll disappointed me in quality and length of wait time. I would have been feeling like a 4.5 🌟 review if the chef didn't deep fry the roll for so long. Overall I do like this sushi restaraunt. Originally, the reason we were attracted to this restaurant was for the happy hour... Unfortunately it is for dine in only.

4.7 stars! It was most excellent overall with great service, food and prices! Would have gotten 5 out of 5 stars had the calamari not been overcooked and rubbery. Would definitely recommend!

First time there with friends. It was busy . Place opened at 5 pm. By six, it was packed with people waiting. Good menu selection. Quality product.

This is a very complicated review… on one hand they make the best Sushi in Las Vegas! By far! But, and there is a big but, the service unfortunately is not at the same level of the food. Starts from the waiters and it goes all the way to the small stuff like an example, they have a charge of TIP on the delivery invoice (attached to this review) not sure what are they thinking here but when a customer calls in to make an order from the menu for take way, I am really not sure and even more than that very surprised why they need to add 15% Tip without me even approving that. I was in shock from this craziness but again. I can’t say the food is not good but the management on the customer service side for sure needs some tuning up. Been to this place over 20 times. That was a small example of Service/management decisions. In general the service is just ok towards the tables as well. Hopefully this can change.

We thought the food was great. The part of the experience that was awful was that we were charged for substitutions and this was not disclosed to us while ordering. My date wanted a non-spicy roll so instead of telling us it was going to be $17 more to make it not spicy, they just made it and said nothing. I wanted to substitute one of the types of fish and ended up paying $32 for an $18 roll. With all the extras they didn't disclose, we paid $31 more than the menu stated. When we confronted the server about the charge, he refused to explain a policy and just said that's what they do. I thought that was deceitful of them. I have included the receipt to reflect what I am talking about. When is the last time you paid $26 or $32 for a roll, off-strip???

⭐️ 1 star – Miscommunication, long waits, and poor service My wife and I had a really bad experience here. We ordered separately — steak and sides for her (she doesn’t eat seafood), two sushi rolls for me. Another table came in after us, ordered almost the same thing, and got their food well before we did. Her food arrived, mine didn’t. When we asked, the staff gave multiple excuses — first that my rolls “take longer” (even though the other table got theirs), then said they thought we were sharing everything, despite us clearly stating we weren’t. We were ignored for over 10 minutes in a tiny restaurant where it’s hard to miss a table. No silverware was brought with her food. I asked to cancel mine so we could leave. Instead of resolving anything, the waitress touched my shoulder to “calm me down” — I wasn’t even angry, just uncomfortable and confused. We asked to pay for what we ate and leave. They refused. We ended up paying $74 for a stressful, drawn-out mess of an experience. Took our food to go and got Chick-fil-A instead. Definitely won’t return.

Made us stand there and wait for 30 minutes before telling us they had no availability and could not seat us. No acknowledgment whatsoever for 30 minutes.

This was the first time I experienced such unpleasant treatment at this restaurant. When I walked in and asked if there were any available seats, the Japanese server said, “If we clean up, there will be seats available,” while checking the reservation list. However, after I waited for about 15 minutes, she suddenly told me, “We’re full right now and cannot seat you.” At that moment, the owner, who is also the sushi chef, clearly instructed the staff to clean the tables since the kitchen was not busy. Despite this, the server kept insisting that there were no seats. It was obvious that she simply didn’t want to seat two people at a four-person table. On top of that, Google Maps showed that reservations could be made and even indicated that seats were available. Yet the reality was the exact opposite. Honestly, this felt like an insult to customers. If a server is going to pick and choose which customers to serve, then she shouldn’t be working in hospitality or the restaurant business at all. It’s clear that this restaurant has serious issues with customer service. Looking at the Google reviews, I saw many other people complaining about the same thing. I will never return to this restaurant.

This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I ordered a pick up over the phone, they said it’ll take an hour to be ready. I showed up on time, but the food wasn’t ready. They said it’ll take 20 min more. After 25 min, I asked them to check on my order. The sushi chef/owner said it’ll take an hour more! Unfortunately, I had to leave without my order. No one even apologized. Also, every time I went there (even when I booked a table in advance), I waited 20 min minimum to be sited, and 45-60 min more for my food. This place needs a new management.

Frankly its a small hole in the wall, maybe 10 tables and a sushi bar sitting area. Look around, the place is run down in that its not well maintained. Chipped paint, old posters, old furniture and didnt look that clean. We had reservations but after 10 minutes of standing in the closet sized waiting area staring at 2 open tables 5 feet away we walked out. The 2 hosts/waiters basically ignored us and looking at the dumpy front of the house IMHO it is a reflection of how the kitchen is, so we left. Good news there are a handful of well rated sushi places within a mile. We went down the street to a place that has the word "Smile" on the title was a great experience, friendly staff, great food, very clean and maintained (the opposite of Naked Fish and thankful for that). Naked Fish needs to bring their game up to the next level and I can not recommend them.
