My new favorite Indian place in the Bay area. Very clean, Lively atmosphere with nice Indian music playing in the background. Fantastic food! Gurpal and Gursewak were very nice, attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. Thank you! Must Try!!!😋👌🙏
Food was awesomely authentic. Service was above and beyond. We enjoyed every bite to the fullest. Highly recommend this place. Also, if you have an EV, you can charge your vehcile at "Electrify America" charger in the parking lot.
Butternut squash was delicious. Garlic Nan very good. Yogurt dessert delicious.
We were pleasantly surprised to see they had dine in too. We thought it was a take out only location. The kitchen looks pretty large and they accept catering orders too. Food was served pretty quick as well. Good food, clean environment. The makkai Di roti had a good amount of butter. Dahi bhalla was good too. Update: Malai Soya chaap is a must try! Wonderfully soft and like. Sizzler. Good portion size. Parathas are good too - reasonably priced, healthy and a good backup for workday lunch.
We ordered the independence day(July 4th) special Thaali. We were blown away by the number of items on the menu. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the Methi Malai Corn. We also love their Channa Batura. Looking forward to more special event Thaalis.
I’ve frequently visited both Fremont and Sunnyvale locations. Both flavors and ambiance was same as other locations. Highly recommend for lunch, snacks or dinner.
Looking for best Indian 🇮🇳 food in Bay Area? You are at the perfect place. Desi tastes with desi vibes…warm ambiance with great host and best of desi songs.. Home 🏡far from Home 🏡…
This the frequent vegetarian stop for us when working and driving back from San Jose, it’s right off the 101, in Sunnyvale, has easy parking and while it’s always doing brisk take out /delivery business, the dine in is never that crowded that service isn’t fast and efficient. It’s a lot smaller and a more no frills compared to their other locations but the reason to come here is the food! It’s the same High quality and totally affordable! Our most recent visit fell on the Indian holiday of Holi so they offered special different Thali every day the weekend we were driving back from work in San Jose all three days . It seemed like a ridiculous challenge to try All of them! But we’re so glad we did! all were pretty different each day, delicious and inventive. They have monthly specials that also are always interesting interpretations of modern Indian food (pizza! tacos!) and more deluxe innovative entrees that are usually “the one to order” and exceptional. Like all their locations, when the menu says “buttery, cheesy, creamy” they’re not kidding, so balance what you order.
This has become one of our favorite Indian restaurants for chaats to entrees. We have tried quite a few dishes and they have all been good quality, quantity and full of flavors. Their pricing is reasonable too. You must try their pani poori, ragda patties, aloo tikki chaat, chole bhature, sarso ka saag and even saag paneer. Their chole is amazing so you will love all the chole items. Thank you for all good food!!

This is a lifeline for me. Living near Lawrence expressway it's hard to find indian food restaurant with different vegetable every day. This place does that. Thanks a lot to the owner for keeping different vegetables in the menu every day
Had a great experience. I came to this place today and had the world's best pani-puri and chole bhuture made by the chef 🧑🏻🍳 Atinder. I would say the chef had magic in his hands because he truly brings the authentic indian taste. The food server named Navjot was friendly, kind and quickly brings our food too. I highly recommend this place to everybody.
Had the chaat bhavan snack combo, bombay vada pav, kofta curry thali with chai and chaas. Vada pav was good. Could be better if the chutney were given separately. The snack combo was very good. Thali was wholesome with 2 rotis, papad, sweet dish (gulab jamun). Service could be better because we had to ask for chai and extra roti multiple times.
I'm not too sure what's "Express" about this place... The menu had plenty of items. Actually it looked like a full size menu to us...almost a bit overwhelming if you ask me. Maybe, it's the size of the venue? It was on the smaller side, not a whole lot of seating inside. Perhaps this venue is smaller than their other location. There were a lot of orders being picked up. No complaints: Tasty food, good service, clean and bright on the inside. The place was packed with Indian folks, so we knew the food was going to be good. #DesiEats ~ Aloo Methi Thali - 4.5/5 The Thali is a brilliant value. So much food on the plate. The potatoes were perfectly cooked with a ton of flavor without being greasy or soggy. ~ Bombay Pav Bhaji - 4/5 I didn't know there was an Indian dish that was eaten with a Bun. Very interesting... Mixed vegetables in Masala. Nice kick to it, without being overly spicy. ~ Rajouri Garden Chana Bhatura - 4/5 Very tasty Chickpea curry dish with Paratha. Not too spicy either. ~ Paneer Paratha - 4/5 Tasty paratha with a side of Onions, Lime Pickle and some sort of sauce. I need to come back several times to try more dishes on the menu!
I'm not an expert on Indian food, but I know what I like and I enjoyed my lunch quite a bit. First, I believe it's a full veggie restaurant. My friend and I had three items: Chaana Sag, which is garbanzo beans, spinach, and herbs. Very tasty with just the mildest of mild spices. Quite tasty! Second was Paneer Tikka Masala. Truly delicious. Creamy and rich. Cottage cheese squares, onions, and more delicious spices. Not spicy hot at all. We matched these with two types of naan. Regular and garlic. I personally thought the garlic was the best I've had. Crunchy and soft at the same time. Loaded with delicious garlic. Perfect eating with those dishes. You order on the app but unfortunately I have to report the service is very, very slow. For these basic items, probably took 20-25 minutes to receive. And we had to ask for the bill. The lunch section was very small but not cramped. And there is plenty of parking. I did see some outdoor seating which may/may not have been theirs, and it looked like there might be an extension to the restaurant, perhaps for dinner or big parties, but I'm not quite sure. I'm pretty sure I'll come back if I have the time, due to the long wait times.
Food: The Paneer Tikka Masala was very flavourful. It went well with the Garlic Naan. Paneer Wrap was okay, needed more sauce for me. Otherwise both were filling. All dishes are vegetarian. Service: Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. Ambiance: Small restaurant. There were families with kids when we were there. Value: Prices were reasonable for the area at about $40 plus for 2 people.
Tried the paneer and aloo paratha. Taste was okay and moderate.. The lassi and tea were really good, especially the lassi, which was super refreshing. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The place was clean and had a cozy vibe. Prices were fair too. Good spot for a casual meal if you're nearby.

Not what I expected for a place with "Express" in their name. Place looks nice. Food is okay but I've had better elsewhere. Portion size is small for what you are charged.

Ordered takeout since their bhindi tastes very good. But specifically gave instructions for less oil and this is what I got at the bottom of the utensil which is an insane amount of oil even after specifically mentioning to use less. Taste wise it’s great but the way they are cooking this is turning a very healthy vegetable to extremely unhealthy regardless of the taste.
Glass shards were found inside food which injured the gums and inside of throat. An official complaint has been made to the food and safety department in this regard. Would recommend to stay away.

I ordered samosa,. Paneer pakora, mixed veg manchurian. Not tasty like before paneer pakora is very rough and dry, hard to chew manchurian is very sour (its good and tasty when i ordered a month before ) samosa smells bad overall i disappointed this time mint chutney also sour taste🫤
Coconut chutney was served straight from the fridge for podi idly’s side. Poori was very thick and hard to eat Bahubhali sandwich was good. Overall very mediocre food quality
