Red Horn Brewery & Roastery in Leander is loved for its coffee, beer, and creative food, though recent menu changes to hot dogs and burgers have disappointed some who miss the tacos. The atmosphere is spacious and relaxed, making it a great spot to hang out.

Nice draft brews. I didn't order good but their menu looks great. If it's too early for beer or you aren't a beer person, enjoy one of they coffees.
I love coming here. Staff is always friendly, beer always cold, atmosphere buzzing, and coffee is hot and delicious (try the Ethiopian they have right now) Some reviews are giving Red Horn a "low" score on the food, but the food is prepared by another company working in the back, Taconmaye...please keep that in mind when reading these. With that said...the birria tacos, chilaquiles, all breakfast burritos, and the loaded nachos are amazing.
I stopped in with a group of friends for lunch. There are a variety of menu choices, all in the craft brewery tradition...Tacos and stuff... You order at the counter and then seat yourself at the table of your choice. Select from craft brews that they brew on site, as well as quality coffee beverages. An unusual combination, but it works! Place is clean and offers free Wi-Fi, and restrooms. There is a group event room available for reservation. Also, tables outdoors are available if you choose. Generous free parking right out front. If you are in this area you might find this a place to stop for a quality beverage and something to eat.
I tried the Banh Mi Dog and it was such a creative twist between a classic hot dog and a banh mi sandwich—absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold but perfectly balanced. The sweet chili Brussels sprouts were another highlight. I already love Brussels sprouts, but these were roasted just right—crispy on the outside, tender inside—and the sweet chili sauce added the perfect kick. Highly recommend both dishes if you’re looking for something tasty and a little different.
This was my first time to this particular location. Love the atmosphere. Now, this was around 10:30 am, so it was really quiet. I imagine when it gets busy, it will be really buzzing. This time, I only had a lemonade with a hint of mint. It was really refreshing and perfect for this weather. Definitely will come back for the selection of beers and their scrumptious sandwiches!... Really friendly staff which makes for a more relaxing atmosphere!... Had to add, my son and our friends had the breakfast tacos, and they were amazed by them and they loved them!
Not your typical small coffee shop. Wide open space with lots of room to enjoy a hot coffee or a cold beer. Perfect place to meet up for a business meeting as well. Even has a huge back room to rent out for larger meetings.
First time coming here. Tired the coffee and tacos. Both were really good. I see a good mix of remote workers, families, and people just hanging out. The staff is nice and the place has a cool vibe. Great spot if you want to hang with friends. Plenty of space inside and parking all around building. If you plan on remote working here, bring headphones. It’s a little loud with the music and people talking
Very nice brew pub/coffee bar. Lots of space and very family friendly. They opened this week, so they were working through figuring it all out, but everything came out as ordered and pretty timely. We hung out for a while with our kids playing UNO and there was no pressure to leave or keep ordering. Pretty good veer and mead spread.
I love the hazy IPA. My wife loved both. Mexican lagers. I almost never order a chicken salad sandwich, but I ordered one here. The cranberry and walnuts made it amazing. I highly recommend it. Very cool place with a very friendly staff. Go for it!
We really like this place (and it's sister location on Parmer). We got the queso (good, but not great) tacos (the avocado taco is probably the best taco I've had in Austin. Pretty impressive for a place that's not actually a Mexican restaurant), a beer (very good), and a cold brew (also very good). Great atmosphere. And the people who work here are very friendly. Highly recommend!
What a great place in Leander, TX! We attended a special event at Red Horn this week, checked out the online reviews and menus, and decided to go early to catch the end of happy hour. Wow! Great beer! Hotdogs were amazing … Bahn Mi, Texas Chili and Chicago dogs were all over the top great! Joined later by another couple who confirmed great beer and burgers/fries great too! Nice family friendly location, games for kids on site! Plenty of TVs, great food, reasonable prices! Nice meeting space JN the back! Check it out! Highly recommend!
Nice place, great location, plenty of parking, friendly staff. They have about 20 beers on tap, nice varied variety. I tried nine 5oz tasters and every one of them was above average. They have food, however, I didn't get a chance to try it . Overall great place! 🍻
Red Horn Brewery & Roastery has completely won us over! It's the perfect spot where exceptional craft beverages meet a truly phenomenal food menu. Whether you're coming for the coffee, the beer, or the food, you're in for a five-star experience. The menu is a spectacular celebration of flavor. We kicked things off with their incredible Queso and fresh Guacamole, which were the perfect start. For the main event, the Birria Tacos were out of this world – rich, juicy, and packed with flavor. The Al Pastor Street Tacos were also a highlight, seasoned to perfection. We were so impressed that we came back for brunch and were blown away by the authentic Chilaquiles and the perfectly cooked Huevos Divorciados. And you absolutely cannot leave without trying a Prosecco Rita – it’s a fun and refreshing twist on a classic! The atmosphere is just as great as the food and drinks. It's a relaxed, welcoming space with a cool industrial-chic design. It’s the ideal place to hang out with friends, get some work done, or just enjoy a fantastic meal. The energy is always positive and lively. The service was fantastic. The staff is friendly, efficient, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They were happy to give recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect meal. Red Horn is a standout establishment that excels on all fronts. Amazing food, a superb drink selection, and a wonderful atmosphere make it a must-visit. We'll be back again and again to work our way through the rest of the menu!
WOW!!! Best, Strongest Coffee in town! Don't go to Starbucks. Come here! NOW! JK. Well, when you can. Dts super, super strong and delicious coffee. I've never been here. "This is better than Starbucks" - @MirisPlayground
Every weekday morning, this is my go-to spot. The team is incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and always brings laughter to the table. Karate Chop has become my favorite coffee to kickstart my day, and I couldn’t imagine starting my mornings without these amazing people. Tap that directions button and Google Maps your way over, and let them brighten your day. 🫶🏼
New Red Horn brewery location that we fell in love with ! We are regulars at the Parmer lane Red Horn and wanted to do a detour to this new location in Leander . Man we were surprised how good this one is! They have the same wonderful beer and coffee, but also amazing tacos and sides that the other location does not have ! The tacos were great and the beer was good as always . The Prosecco Rita was refreshing . They have WiFi internet and good live music on some days ! Will start going here regularly for the good food, service and ambiance .
So glad to have another Red Horn location! A great location for a morning coffee or afternoon beer. Both breakfast and afternoon food menus are great. It's hard to say which is better, the coffee, the food or the beer! Just beware the food menu is basically described and doesn't tell you everything in each item, so make sure to ask!!
Red Horn Brewery & Roastery on Scottsdale has lots of space and is a great place to hang with friends for coffee or a beer. Bigger food selection than the Parmer location. The breakfast tacos were delicious. If you haven’t visited Red Horn, you are missing out!!

My first time on a Saturday was that this a place to catch a beer, coffee, or a burger and hang out with friends in a brewery store front. The food was very good, as was the coffee.

Ive been coming here for years and it’s been my favorite local spot. Good beer, food and coffee. However, recently they changed their menu from a diverse array of choices (cali burrito, flautas, pastor nachos) to smash burgers and hot dogs “/ I’ll still be supporting them but not as much as before. Mostly for the coffee on the weekends. The beer was great as it would pair well with their cali burrito or tacos. But for 8-13$ a burger and 7-8 $ beer, I rather go else where nearby like Sharks burger and get their beer to go for more value. It was a unique spot due to their unique menu as an anchor. Now it’s just another relatively high priced burger/hotdog cafe/brewery in the suburbs. New customers may disagree which is fair, but as a loyal long time customer I’ll miss the old Red Horn.
Besides my order being overlooked and skipped was fine. The staff was nice and did like that they allowed out group to stay a little over but I am a lil salty about my order being overlooked hence the rating
My family loves Red Horn, and we normally come in for dinner once a week. The recent menu change isn't really something we care to have regularly, so we won't be frequenting as often. We miss the mexican food.
Strange place to find a neighborhood bar & eatery - in the middle of an actual Neighborhood! However, no complaints on the food quality or the craft beer choices (they have plenty). We went on a Friday so it was relatively busy, but not too crowded. The only thing preventing a 5-star rating was that flatware didn't come with any of the food (8 different items) that we ordered. So we had to wait in the beer line to ask for forks, allowing our food to get a little cool. We noticed a few other tables doing the same thing. Bringing flatware with the food or having it easily accessible without customers having to wait in line would be our only improvement recommendation. Waitstaff, atmosphere and everything else was great! Definitely a fun place. And like Arnold said, “We'll be Back!”
I had the Undercover Cowboy Hazy IPA and it was great. They have Mexican food and some pastries. They also have coffee drinks and plenty of nonalcoholic options. This seems to be their distribution center and more warehouse type of vibe. I prefer the other location but this one has a lot of seating.

Sad that their food menu has changed…switched from a selection of REALLY good tacos anytime, flautas, burritos, and more to…breakfast tacos only available until 11, hot dogs and burgers. Don’t get me wrong - beer and coffee have been and still are top notch! The staff has always been stellar as well. Also need to acknowledge their kitchen staff has changed and it’s going to take some time to get up to speed. That said, this has been one of our favorite places to go for brunch and we’re sad to see so many of our favorites are gone. Update: gave their double onion smash burger and it was REALLY good and a pretty healthy portion. They also did a $5 deal on national cheeseburger day, but still feels a little over priced ($15 after tax, no sides).
I love their beer and the staff is great, but the recent menu change really has me scratching my head. I'm hoping that as time goes on there will be more variety, but for the time being this weekly staple will become more of a once a month kind of thing. Fancy hot dogs and smash burgers are just not something I want to eat once a week. The menu before was a little limited but it had the perfect blend of variety (and options for kids). Super bummed because we loved going for dinner, enjoying a beer and playing a game. I'm optimistic that this is just a hiccup due to the kitchen change and that I can go back to weekly outings at this local gem!

We’ve always loved coming here, but the recent kitchen and menu changes have been disappointing. Our kids especially miss the classic fries — We hope the kitchen makes some necessary changes and we may try to give it another chance.
I’m conflicted because they make one of the best IPAs I’ve ever tasted: Aloha, Ya’ll. On the flip side, the food was terrible and customer service left something to be desired. The beef was too fatty to chew. The queso was cold and bland. They replaced the bland cold queso with more bland cold queso when it was brought to their attention. So, so sad to see such potential squandered.
The new change to the food was worst decision ever. The avocado toast is disgusting. I actually feel WORST after consuming. They use packaged guacamole not real avocado cut and smashed. toast isn't even toasted and because you can't cut through it you end up ripping the paper it sits on the plate. So hopefully you don't end up eating the parchment paper too. It's bland and the first one came completely drenched in a hot honey. I didn't even try it and sent it right back. So if this is the way it usually comes prepare your mouth for a mushy soggy hot honey mess. Who is the taste test kitchen for these items?? The eggs are not real eggs they come in a container same with bacon. Their breakfast is 1-2 stars max because I just like the staff and red horn coffee. Food quality and kitchen is really bad with whoever they brought on.
I came here due to an offer for BOGO coffee. Walking in, it became clear that this is clearly a brewery. It felt very weird walking in for coffee! The service I received was polite, and the coffees I ordered took a reasonable amount of time to arrive. The chai latte had a nice flavor, but the mocha was very weak. Having a BOGO deal was terrific because the single cost for one coffee is more expensive than a bigger size at a larger coffee chain. I'll be back to try the beer, but I'm not returning for coffee.
Well first off I love the atmosphere and service of the staff. The beer is good and they have a good variety so they should have something for everyone. The birria tacos were great but the loaded nachos were slow coming out and the carne asada on top was tough and chewy. Plus it was probably sitting for a while since wasn’t very warm. In addition don’t bother to order the michelada since it may take forever if they dont have the mix ready. That said I would probably return just for the beer and tacos.
We came for breakfast. It’s a nice and spacious place. They brew coffee and beer. We ordered breakfast tacos, chilaquiles, bowl and croissant. Tacos is good, chilaquiles are very spice, croissant is good and bowl is ok. The latter and the hot chocolate came cold. The coffee was hot is good.

Refused flat out unequivocally to do a special order for my child. No sorry, no explanation, just we won’t do that, typical unfriendly unhelpful staff interaction.
Red Horn instantly gives off a spacious and relaxed vibe. The café is huge — easily fits around 50–60 people indoors and I absolutely loved the outdoor seating setup under the tree. It’s tucked away from the main road, making it calm, quiet, and perfect for those who enjoy peaceful coffee breaks. Food & Drinks I ordered a cold coffee (less ice), but unfortunately, it came with a lot more ice than expected, which diluted the flavor. The taste leaned more toward a sour vanilla note — not exactly my kind of palate. I’ve only tried one drink, so it might just be a one-off miss. Service & Ambience The ambience is lovely — spacious, airy, and good spot for groups. There’s even a fun little photo booth inside, perfect for snapping memories with friends. The vibe is chill and inviting, especially the outdoor benches under the tree. Suggestions I’d suggest better attention to customer requests (like ice levels) and maybe balancing the flavor profile of the cold brews. Final Verdict I’ll definitely give Red Horn another try after a short break, maybe in a month or two, before forming a final opinion. For now, the space and ambience score high, but the coffee taste didn’t quite match my expectations.
Update: Not a fan of the 20% minimum tip suggestion on a to go order, also tapping "no tip" doesn't work. 👀 They also updated the menu to consist of hamburgers and hotdogs. While the new food items are still decent, it has lost all of its uniqueness, and $25 for a burger and fries, I can find a dozen other places that are better, and cheaper. Previous: Pretty darn good food, albeit not entirely what I was expecting. Birria tacos has delicious carnitas and delightful cheese, though the birria dip was oddly devoid of flavor. The Cali burrito was pretty dang authentic, if a bit small (to be fair, the authentic ones are insanely large) - carne asada has just the right kind of spice. Food came out quick, hot, well plated. Lemonade was tasty, too.

In the past was always a great option for us because your menu had tacos with vegetarian options that we loved since I don’t eat meat or dairy. We came by today and your menu has completely changed. You no longer have tacos and everything has meat and cheese. The beer is good but we can get beer anywhere. We don’t have any reason to come back.

Went in a few weeks ago. The manager by the name “Guy” was completely disrespectful. We ordered a beer at the cashier they asked for my ID i told them i left it at the house and so my gf showed hers they completed the sale and gave us the beer. I went to sit down and proceeded to enjoy my beer that I ordered and paid for. The manger walks over snatches the beer and tells me i am cut off no refills with no explanation. I do not recommend going here they will sell you beer and take it from you then threaten to call the cops when you politely ask them why they handled it so rudely.
What happened to the food? It used to be good. Not anymore. Took my kids in and got 2 burgers (no fries or sides) a grilled cheese and chips and queso……$68. Probably the worst burger I have ever had and my daughter said the same thing about hers. Neither of us finished them. Low quality ingredients. We used to like going here for a beer and a snack. We won’t go back. I see a lot of recent reviews saying the same thing about the menu change.
