As a UB student I'm a regular at La Rosa's. Love the pizza, good options cooked fresh all day long.
Best wide pizza slice in the city. 2 slice combo is so well worth it.
They were super fast and friendly the line was long but wait time wasn't. The food is amazing and it's a place that I love to got to for a quick bite
Had a cheese slice and it was amazing !!! Ended up buying another one, it was sooo good!! The girls working were very friendly as well.
Eat here frequently. Best pizza on campus. Owner is very friendly. Other items are really good too. Decent amount of food for the price.
Hands down the closest experience in Buffalo to an authentic nyc style pizza. I can’t understand why the reviews are not closer to a 5 for this establishment. Excellent product, keep up the great work.
Amazing pizza for a great price. Staff is friendly and efficient. Size of portions is certainly generous, they don't skimp here!
Reminds me of a true NYC/northern NJ Pizzeria.
Just love this place. Wings are so perfectly cooked and their pizza slices are super huge. They never disappoint.
NYC local checking in - this pizza would easily stand as a good pizza place in nyc let alone in buffalo. Prices are on the higher side but the pizza is great
Dominic, follow him for years. Best pizza... reminds me of my hometown pie. Very consistent.....will travel for this pizza!
Went to UB for my undergrad years and always had pizza here with my friends, came back recently to try it and still so good! It’s a New York style pizza, kinda thin with a thicker crust, great sauce too,I grew up in the city and this reminds me of Lucia’s slices a bit, a little sad to see the bad reviews that people put on this place cause they always warm up the pizza when I ordered takeout, owner is a nice guy too! I recommend the cheese slice (9.3/10) and the Margherita(9/10).
In terms of pizza in the area around campus, there really is no competition worth recognizing. La rosa has, in my experience, consistently delivered quality food at a very acceptable price. The slices are generously sized, and the specialty slices have a hearty amount of toppings. A $5 bill and 3 quarters can get you a filling, flavorful, quality meal that will leave you fully satisfied. The store also offers several combo deals with pretty solid value. If I remember correctly, you can get two specialty slices and a drink for less than $12 total. The service is incredible as well. The owner of the store, who has been there every time I’ve gone, is an absolute gentleman. I’ve had him go out of his way to open the front door for me when there was truly no need, and it’s not uncommon to see him chatting pleasantly with other customers. It’s hard to say any one pizza joint in buffalo is the best, simply due to the sheer volume of good pizza in the city, but, as a native Buffalonian, I would certainly say La Rosa is among the best in the entire city.
Best pizza on campus, hands down. Faculty & staff get a 10% discount! The slice and a salad special is a great deal and you won't leave hungry.
Such a good pizza. The sauce is just a little bit on the sweet side which I like a lot.

Really nice place with a cozy atmosphere and good pizza.
La Rosa is the best pizza on campus and...if you are in the UB north area... one of the best pizzas around here. Their dough is fresh and pizza is always great. In a land of per-pandemic, as a UB employee, I enjoyed lunch in their place many times with colleagues. Can't wait until things normal up a little but for the time being we order take-out.
Ok I was truly expecting crap pizza however as my ex-wife used to say there is no such thing as bad pizza... That being said the pizza here rocks... Crispy crust, amazing sauce to cheese ratio & ample slice size .. if your in the area I strongly recommend having a slice or two you will not regret it ( this is coming from a native NYC resident and I have had all the good and bad pizza my home town has to offer )
BIGGEST slice of Pizza, and Great Option for Affordable Dining Experience. I Love the Pepperoni Pizza& Red Bull! For a Light Meal
A friend and I had 2 slices of pizza each and they were very very good. The cheese was awesome and the crust was nice and crunchy. Excellent. The girls working were very kind and helpful. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦☺️

BBQ chicken pizza is insanely good, I can't believe it is on campus pizza. Decent flavor on all items, price slightly high.
Decent NYC style slice. When on campus with folks from work we stop in. The few subs I've seen others get look pretty good and quality.
Awesome place to grab a pizza in UB. Easy to order, they now have online order facility also. They also have a lots of options for vegetarians.
The pizza was good but the service was even better! Everyone was kind and helpful. Instead of them putting the slices of pizza on our plates that looked like they weren't quite fresh out of the oven, they told us they would give us fresh hot slices. The wait wasn't long either.
Slightly expensive, but easily my favorite place on campus. Specials are great, workers (of 2018-19) are excellent. Thank you for making me want to make it to Friday so it can be Pieday.
Is back to college people this pizzeria is located inside the campus. This pizza is worth the trip authentic New York style pizza. The cheese and pepperoni pizza was very good nice taste on the sauce and nice gooey cheese the crust was crispy I give this pizza a 9.1 out of 10 Luna's. The cheese pizza was as good as the cheese and pepperoni I'll give this one a 9 out of 10 Luna's.

In terms of college pizza, it's pretty good otherwise, it's nothing short of special.
Large 3 topping pizza and buffalo wings was $48 Pizza was good 👍 . Wings had no sauce . Looks like they might have been tossed in maybe something and then fried. I had my own sauce at home but I wouldn't recommend the wings. Dry, hard and a ridiculous waste.

It is good for campus pizza place. The price isn't bad compared to much of the other local places for a pizza. Yeah it's not greatest slice of pizza ever but it feels the void just fine if your looking for a pizza and not trying to kill your wallet and for students it is great for a quick bite in between classes. If your looking for New York style pizza and don't want to drive to NYC to get it, this place is worth a try.
The pizza is pretty good, way better than Campus Dining and shop's. I really enjoy some of their specialty pizzas, like meat lover's and similar. The prices are also pretty reasonable. The facilities and staff are so-so (hence 3 stars). For a long while the restrooms have been "closed". I do not know building code but I think this is odd. I'd figure a place as large as that would require functional restrooms. I've asked to wash my hands before, and was allowed to use the restrooms. They looked and worked fine, despite being "closed". For the most part, the staff have a decent hustle and are fine. One of the staff up front can be "0 to 100" confrontational and rude. If you attempt to take a receipt yourself, be prepared to be criticized about entering this person's workspace, and listen to their unsubstantiated broad generalizations about how all restaurants do business.

Sure, it's food, but not good food. The red sauce has something off about it that I just can't pin down. For the Buffalo area, it might be okay, doesn't pass anywhere else
Ordered a cheeseburger sub with ketchup and mustard and got a chicken finger sub with ketchup and mustard....didn't notice till I got back to my area paid right after ordering and only have a half hour for lunch and didn't have time to take it back so ate it anyway but orders need to be looked into or read properly.
Ordered a steak sub, a slice of pizza and honey garlic wings. The only good part of the meal were the wings. The pizza was so mushy, the sub rolls and pizza "crust" tasted like a dirty oven. Please care for your equipment!
Second experience in a two week span and don't plan to go back any time in the future. First was for ice cream, which was run by one person who clearly was not properly trained. I felt bad as all the other workers stood back and watched her. The ice cream i received was old, it tasted like freezer burn. Today I got a slice of pizza, a pasta salad, and a garlic knot. Pizza was okay, pasta salad was okay, garlic knot though was basically a crouton. Also, I didn't appreciate the cashier who corrected me when i asked for a slice and pasta (meaning the pasta salad) and was told that's not a pasta dish thats a salad. Okay, agreed but no need to correct me I just want my food.
We were staying in a hotel nearby and ordered. We got 3 slices of pizza, 10 wings and garlic knots. I’m sorry.. not something we’d order again. The knots weren’t cooked the whole way, the pizza seemed burnt and was cold, and the wings are really dry. Sad to say, but not a great experience.

The most mid pizza you will ever find in the entirety of the western hemisphere. Mid pizza is fine as long as it's priced appropriately. Problem is that a slice of mid at this establishment costs 5$. The pizza dough is so thin that my finger punctures through it at times. Tortillas are more durable than the dough they use. It's evident that these owners buy the absolute cheapest ingredients they can find. mid/5, better off having a vending machine lunch.
Food used to be good before owner switched hands. 19 dollars for 3 slices and blue cheese and they took out employee discount away. Deff won’t be going back

Misinformation on opening hours! Quite disappointed, drove 45 mins for this pizza!
dry slice of pizza and mac n cheese that smells 3 days old.wanted to exchange this dude said don't do it next time.dude stop giving disgusting food to customers, so they don't have to exchange.just because we are students do not take us granted.finally a guy with brain tested the food and agreed with me.whatever not going back there in my ub life.bunch of stupid management.
The food is ok, the owner can be very rude at times. He heard me order food and acted as if he threw up because I wanted ranch with my fries.
Went to La Rosa all during undergrad, good food and not a bad price. Went back for first time since grad school. $5 for a burnt slice of pizza. Honestly mad I didn't just ask for a refund. Not going back.
Website menu prices are not correct. I placed an order for a large cheese pizza and 30 wings because online it said it was $37.99. Came in to pick up the order and paid $50. They said “subject to change” and “didn’t realize the menu wasn’t updated online”. That’s a pretty significant change and they didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or offer me anything about it. Don’t trust the site and know that they only care about your money, not being a customer-centered business. I’d rather be a returning customer for a place that understands and provides acceptable customer service; this place is not it.
So I went there about 11:40 am yesterday and the front door was locked. Had the same situation a week or 2 ago. Anyway I had been going to this place 2 to 3 times a week. I found it a little unusual that the door was locked that close to lunch hour. I went around to the back door. It was open. So I yelled inside numerous times "hello" but nobody answered. I heard voices though so I knew someone was there. All of a sudden the exterminator comes out from the back and starts spraying right under the counter with pizzas setting out in the open uncovered. This is the same spot that they put the extra pizzas from the oven when the top counter is full. Now with all due fairness I have never seen "anything crawling" in there all the times I've been there. However don't you think you would have your exterminator come early in the morning not at lunch time!
Went in for a tuna melt and when i opened the food (i opened it after i got back to my apartment) it came in a wrap. I was confused and I’ve never received a tuna melt in a wrap so i called to ask about it not necessarily looking to be compensated (which would’ve been great) and the owner tried to give me a life lesson that “in life you don’t always get what you want unless you specify.” Ive never ever had to specify i want my tuna melt on bread before. Anwyay good customer service goes a long way. And this is some mid stuff.
Literally the worst pizza I've ever had. I'm from Brooklyn, I know good pizza. It tastes like flavorless baked flour with cheap cheese and tomato sauce microwaved on top.
Order was placed with a pick up time store was not busy. They didn’t even make the pizzas maybe wait over 20 minutes past pick up time.
We were visiting a family member on campus and ordered food to go. The blue cheese was spoiled, and wings were undercooked, definitely not made to order. The pizza was ok, but it needs more sauce.
I had a craving for NY styled pizza and decided to check this place out. I asked for two pepperoni and mushroom slices guy was like "huh"? I had to choose one with pepperoni and one with mushrooms. Pizza wasn't good it was 10 bucks altogether. Definitely not worth the price. I miss the real NYC pizza so much!!!
Ordered loaded fries for take out, somehow got a salad
Simply not a good restaurant. The atmosphere is outdated and unclean, the customer service is abysmal, and the pizza is almost as bad as I can possibly concieve. If you like greasy, limp slices with watery sauce and the thick layer of cheese sliding off then you will love it here. However, if you're a normal person then stomaching such a slice would be a challenge. Do not waste your money here.
