Love this place, all food and drinks made fresh. We just moved to the area and have been struggling to find a local place to eat. Everything we ordered was so good; food, sauces, drinks. What we loved the most is that they have a variety of fresh fruit drinks like passion fruit.

Kind staff, good food, and clean restrooms. Javier helped me at the register. I got a taco bowl w/ extra shrimp. I tried four of the salsas: red, green, brava (I think, it was spicy), and house salsa. All very good. Shrimps were big. They use lime and cilantro in the rice, very tasty combo. I got to meet the owner and chef. He operates a bunch of other restaurants all over SD, and does catering. Already had a lot of customers; I’m happy to see they’re doing well as they just opened up only few days ago.

Stopped by for breakfast this morning. Had the chilaquiles and the melon Agua Fresca. Delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try lunch. Great addition to Lemon Grove.

their chilaquiles plate was what I tried and I was surprised in how good they where they do take a while after you order your food but in the end the results where worth it.

SO GOOD. The chilaquiles were amazing. They weren’t soggy and tasted super fresh. This is a great find.

The quality is much better than any other taco shops. Ribeye for the burritos and the rolled tacos are bigger and have real cheese and guacamole very nice owner would highly recommend. The place is clean and you can tell they take pride in their food. I had the surf and turf and three rolled tacos. They have homemade rice inside their burritos and their salsas are like a high end restaurant. I spent around 30 dollars so it not inexpensive but I would choose this over sombreros and colitis. I will also be back to try their fresh juices and pazole. Bring the family you can sit outside or to go and they do accept credit cards as well. Support local these guys are the real deal. I have eaten here 6 times all amazing parole, rice and chicken, everything, this guys is a chef.

We have been going here since they opened at least once a week. Amazing food. Not just your typical taco shop. We have tried almost everything on the menu and never been disappointed. Their specials are amazing as well.

I had the carne asada and it was excellent — super tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It came with fresh radish slices and a couple of lime wedges that had clearly just been cut, which made a great touch. The guacamole, pico de gallo, and salsas were all packed with flavor and really fresh. Everything tasted homemade and authentic. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

It's rare to find a restaurant these days that offers both high-quality food and generous portions, but Cali Mex does exactly that. My call-in order was ready quickly, and every bite of the food was delicious. I also appreciate the well-curated menu – it makes it easy.

Omg, they are so good!!!!! I love this place. Everything is so fresh, well seasoned, cooked to order. They have the best quesadillas l've ever had. I can't put my finger on it why, but they are delicious and so satisfying. The pupusas are delectable, including the sauce and pickled salad side. The jicama salad is so good. The pineapple is always freshly cut, not canned. I add mango when I have it. This salad goes well with the shrimp burrito (the extra veg makes you feel better about yourself). And the salsas are all delicious and all distinctly different, made in house. I'm still working my way through the menu, but it's all been remarkably good. Including the daily selection of aguas frescas. The service is always super friendly. I am usually a bit of a PITA when it comes to ordering and they are always very kind with my subs and additions.

been here a handful of times, and honestly it never disappoints. i am from lemon grove and had almost every taco shop in this area and this one is by far the best in my humble opinion. the BEST california burrito and carne asada fries ive had in san diego. the portions are very satisfying. the staff care about your food. just a pro tip, mix the mango agua fresca with the sandia agua fresca. your welcome.

This place is bomb, I stopped by on a whim while in national city for work and I will be back. Their tacos shave fresh homemade tortilla and salsa. Insane value for three huge tacos with guac for $12. Even met the owner, super nice guy. Told me he is cooking his wife’s homemade recipes. Great spot, give it a try, like me I bet you’ll be back.

Have ate here around 5-7 times with my family. Customer service is on point. Breakfast Burritos come with fruit. Tacos are crazy good. French fries are delicious. Food taste much better than your average taco shop. They have something for everybody on the menu. This place is a must try and please tell your friends!!!!
