Great quality food. It was satisfying. We had steak and fries, R & T burger with sweet potato fries, pork bellies, and onion rings. First time there and definitely going to go back.
Our waiter Erik was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us with choices. The appetizer did not come out right on top of our meal (which is a pet peeve of mine) so that was fantastic! My steak was cooked to perfection and my Husband was very impressed with the pork chop. Food and atmosphere was wonderful. We will defiantly be back!
Great selection of food and drinks. Warm atmosphere, loved the decor. Great management, friendly employees with a sense of humor. Wasn't able to get any more pictures - was busy eating and socializing.😊
GET THE ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUTS! I haven't even gotten to my main course (Tuna) yet. Brussel sprouts dark roasted and firm texture in olive oil w bacon and red micro greens. Perfect. Tuna w black peppercorn & hoisin. OMG. Order that! I came back again for 2nd try. Comfy bar atmosphere.
They always have great oysters! The service is great and they have live music on sunday mornings. The events thru niche hospitality in the draught room are awesome as well if you haven't checked them out.
I have to say this restraunt is amazing and is very classy. All the way from the menu to the cocktails. The staff are very helpful as well with helping you select a meal that you would like.... Nice friendly atmosphere here.....
A great thyme as always. Great vegan and gluten free options, and a great bar selection. This is like my fourth visit so, just like to remind everyone how solid this establishment is. Great job, crew!
Best steak I have had since I lived in Texas. Paired with 15 year old Whistlepig Rye whiskey. Holy cow, heavenly
Rye & Thyme is the place to be! It lives up to the hype. I come here for everything from brunch, to dinner, to a quick meal in between. My best friends even had their rehearsal dinner here. And there's live music and entertainment! It's a hot spot you have to check out! Had the 18oz ribeye tonight... mmm-mmmm! Excellent!
Great food, awesome drinks! Perfect spot in downtown with plenty of parking. Great for a family party or a dinner date for two.
Sunday brunch was lovely. My husband thought the cornbeef hash was out of this world.
I love this restaurant. The staff have all been spectacular in the years I've been going, the food or always excellent, and the beer selection is rotating and always has some good finds. It's clean, quiet even when busy, and reasonably priced.
Staff were all great. Our server Hayley was patient, attentive and professional. We'd go back just for her service. Both T-Bone & filet were so tender and juicy cooked as requested, which seems to be very hard to do in most restaurants. Very limited desert menu, but the brownie and cheesecake were excellent.
Food was great, service even better. Our waiter was personable, well mannered, & well timed. We tipped him the bill. Because he 100% deserved it. ☺👍 My Husband lost his keys, & unlike most places that wouldn't even check; they had them, & were quick to confirm. Even the hostess/manager on the way out had a warm smile, and gave a GENUINE "have a nice evening" not the usual backhanded say it cause they have to. It was a breath of fresh air, and all around a nice experience. We will absolutely be back!
Always a pleasure to try new brews here. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. Food is delicious for all of my moods, events and just because desires. A definite go to if you like food, beer and brown liquor!
Went with a friend. Bartender was nice. He was attentive. Food was good. Angry caesar is in fact angry...and packin heat. Snickerdoodle cookie could have been baked a min or two longer and my steak was a bit over cooked but overall a pleasant first experience. Live band was great. Def swipe right on this place!
Great first experience! Our waitress was attentive and kind, the Mac and Cheese was sinfully good and they had an excellent selection on beers on tap. My only complaint was the table was a bit awkward in the dining portion of the restaurant, but it was easily forgotten and not a deal breaker. Would recommend and will return!
The food is amazing. I have had nearly every item on the menu. I loved 90 percent of them. Most of the ones I didn't like were fresh and well prepare but just weren't my cup of tea. FYI: The stuffed french toast is not actually stuffed; a pet peeve of mine. Beside the excellent food the staff is top notch. They're the reason I dine here multiple times a week. If your in the Leominster area Rye and Thyme is definitely worth a try.
Fantastic food whether you are getting a high end steak or a burger. The menu never disappoints and the tap list is ridiculously great. Keep up the amazing job you are doing. I drive 40 mins to eat here all the time
Easy parking. Great location. Pub-style but also fancy if you're looking to dress up or dress down. Staff was beyond friendly and sweet. Food was amazing. Serving sizes were perfect. Prime selection of draught beer 😎 Go here. It's worth it.
I held my sisters engagement party here this past Friday, and I have nothing but great things to say. Steve, the manager communicated with me from weeks out, too days before the event. While respecting my ideas and budget, he worked with me to create such a great cocktail party. The staff, especially Bobby Joe, were great the night of. All our family and friends loved the atmosphere, food, and cocktails. Such a great place with even better staff! I highly recommend the Hubb room downstairs.
Nothing negative to day. We looked at the menu and decided to eat elsewhere. The prices were about 20-35 per person, and nothing really grabbed out attention. The people in the host area were very accommodating and very friendly. Nice atmosphere.
Food was terrific, the service was incredible. Our server was able to give us great feedback on drinks and give suggestions. This is a good place for a girls dinner out or a date night with your partner.
Love it here. My husband and I are local and we are regulars. Staff is amazing, super friendly, fun, and attentive. The beer selection is excellent. The food is also really good from burgers, pizza and wings that are all a step up from your traditional bar fare to really nice fish and meat dishes. The brunch if you’re ever around on a Sunday is AMAZING
Love this place. They have a fantastic beer menu with more than 20 beers on draft at all times, that are changed on a regular basis. The food is basic American cuisine that is elevated to please the palate. Oysters are a plus, with a variety of choices. The menu is fairly small, but it rotates quite a bit. In addition to lunch and dinner, we had Sunday brunch there this week, and it was wonderful. The breakfast bread boule is highly recommended.
Great value. Ambiance, decor very nice. Seafood, meat, poultry all well prepared, nicely paired with sides. Salads and apps are good. Good service. Dozens of beers on taps. Can order flights. Well mixed drinks. An upper-mid scale dining experience for right price. 1/26/19 update: Place has only gotten better. R&T got a little more adventurous last night with a venison special. Had it rare and it was incredible and they ran out of it. Wife's seared ahi tuna was delicious!
How have I not written this review yet. We've been a dozen times. It's great every time. I really have no complaints. Great beer selection. The food is great. I always end up with a burger. Sometimes the pizza. Both are great!
Very classy restaurant with incredible steaks and shrimp. We had a ribeye that was cooked to perfection, some shrimp appetizers and side salad, baked potatoes and asparagus. Downstairs, there is a very large seating area with a small stage, multiple rooms and a bar for group gatherings. Sometimes there is live music downstairs… A great location was very helpful and friendly staff.
Good food, great service, nice drink menu. Beautiful outdoor patio for a double date in July. We would return. Only complaint would be I had one cloudy oyster which they happily replaced. Serves me right for eating oysters in July!
Great service, some of the best around. Best beer selection of any restaurant around here, hands down. Don't come here without a designated driver, you'll regret it.My ribeye steak could have used more seasoning though. Went again and got pot roast. It was amazing. Also, slab bacon.... OH. MY. GOD. Worth it for that and beer alone.
Great location in center of town. If they ever offer jalapeno infused bacon, get it. My only concern was that my burger was a bit blackened, but I'd give them more tries. Staff was excellent!
Well, this was our second time for dinner and what a difference. The first time was not good but this time was. The place was busy and lots of people, couples and groups. Our waiter was good, friendly, helpful and courteous. We started off with a brew from the large variety of choices. The pork belly appetizer was much better than last time we tried it. Lots of rich bacon flavor contrasting with the white polenta fries texture. The wedge salad was the only disappointment of the night. It was a small salad wrapped in a leaf of lettuce. The dressing didn’t help anything, no blue cheese flavor. Salad looked nice but was as exciting as waiting for water to boil, ho-hum. I got the veal chop that was huge and cooked to order. Great grill marks on the chop and seasoned enough to give lots of grilled flavor. The whipped potato and vegetable were cooked were very good also. She got the butternut ravioli that was good but lacking some sauce with flavor. It did have lobster and few other goodies with it so she was happy. We did get some bread and oil but the oil didn’t have much flavor with little or no seasonings. We had enough room to share a brownie dessert. It was a warm, rich brownie with good vanilla ice cream. Would have liked more Carmel sauce on it but it was great anyways. We had a nice time, plenty of people watching, lots to look at outside as well. The booths looked comfortable but our table had padded small chairs that were uncomfortable after a short time. Try the Rye and Thyme, I think everyone will find something to enjoy.
Things you should know and accept prior to arrival: This is the type of place that forbodes a pleasant balance of gay men and insecure women in their wait staff. As a result, you will receive excellent service. That service will come with a smile and good will not seen in any other place in society. You will be proud to be a modern American as a result. The food is also great. But, as an observant pseudo sociologist, I was so intrigued by the workers that my food and the cost faded into the background. Three cheers for a super great restaurant filled with gay men and their female equivalent. Also the food and drinks were great.
Will come back for sure but there seemed to be problems in the kitchen that night with the meats not coming out to the right temps. I had to send my mid-rare back because it was rare cold red center. It also lacked seasoning. My wife also had steak.a different cut and it was Cooke to her liking, medium an was fully season. You could taste the difference in the seasoning between the 2. R&T did it right by retiring a new steak.
So! We have not been here in over a year. Why? Because prior that we experienced 2 nights with bad meals. That being said.....we had dinner and cocktails tonight and we had a great dinner, drinks and a great bartender. We will definitely be back and sugesug you try them out. ..
Very nice venue for a paint nite. Very well lit, service was attentive to the mixed groups. The drinks menu was extensive and very creative, and the food was lovely. The parking was a little limited though.
Very good food and tons of it. We used a grupon dinner for 2 three courses for 65. Share an app we had the pretzels then I had the 18oz rib eye and my husband had the jambalaya. The steak was huge but didn't like the fat asparagus its good thin but otherwise no. The dinner was really great otherwise and i have to say they have this $1 oyster special from 4 to 6:30, and I'm really impressed with the freshness and quality of those! Great atmosphere we took dessert to go but was still really great the next day. I would say also the atmosphere and the staff were top notch we'll be back
Had a great Sunday brunch. Eggs Benedict is a favorite, and I had these with hash instead of Canadian bacon. Mary was in the mood for a cheeseburger. Service was slow since it was 2 pm and they were slammed. A couple of drinks smoothed out the wait and there was a guitarist, so the live music was a plus as well. Upon arriving we were told it would about 15 minutes to be seated, but it was only 7 minutes. Knowledgeable wait staff who explained the selection of oysters available. We didnt choose them, but another plus for this restaurant. Have eaten here about 8 times, but usually at night when my friends band is playing. Overall very nice staff good food for the price, and the Sunday brunch was nice and relaxed.4 stars out of 5.
We were there on a day that was not very busy which was perfect for us. I expect they get very busy on the weekend. I had great oysters and a lovely spinach salad and my friend had a basic burger which he thought was pretty perfect. Staff was friendly and my cocktail ,The Night Man ,was yummy
Great place to go for a casual meal or for a date night. Staff is always pleasant and the waitresses know their stuff once it comes to menu questions. There's a great beer list and the mixed drinks have yet to disappoint. The portions are excellent and everything has come as asked for (perfect cooked burgers, steak tips, substitions)
This restaurant is very “meh” to me. It’s not my top choice but also not my last choice. I think they’re very pricey for the quality of the food you receive. I recently visited a few days ago though and was quite impressed with the food I got. I had crab cakes and some oysters and they were amazing! The oysters were pretty small compared to what I’m used to and only two crab cakes came out for my entree but they were decently sized. Due to this experience, I’m giving 4 stars instead of the 3 that I typically would’ve.
Not a oyster fan and Rye and Thyme specializes in oysters if you are a oyster fan. Food was delicious. Server was extremely personable, and accommodating. The restaurant has a historical cozy feel and atmosphere. A little pricey. They need to offer more specials. Other than that I would definitely return.
Good portions and prices are fair. Extensive tap menu which was awesome. Some things that could have been improved wish they pulled the window shades open it as night and it would have been nice to look outside, also disappointed we had reservations for my birthday they sat us in between 2 tables with babies and away from the bar side with better mood lighting and table cloth. There were plenty of empty tables that night too. They had lit candles on the table but overhead lights were on so bright there was no point to putting the candles on the tables. The food tasted fine but I had the steak & frites and the squeezed so much sweet mayo on the fries it became uneatable.
Was a bit disappointed. I've never had an issue here but my boyfriend's fish came out raw. The waiter quickly took it back and had a new plate out in a reasonable amount of time. The manager came over after walking past us several times and apologized but didn't offer the meal free or a free dessert. Not sure I'll be back.
Mistakes happen frequently here. I think the the kitchen staff is not as experienced as the menu. When they do get it right, it's good. Management is great at rectifying issues. Probably because of much practice. The potential with this place is great. I will continue to go back because even on their worst day, it's passable.
To preface, been here on 2 weekends previously and had a fine time. This evening I came with my parents to celebrate my father's birthday. Everything was too slow from drinks to apps & entrees. My salmon was dry, my mother had rotten walnuts in her salad and my father's birthday steak was over cooked and when his properly cooked replacement was done the family had finished eating. On the brighter side of things my brother thoroughly enjoyed his cheeseburger. Waitress was nice. Parents said they will come back.
I went on New Year's Day for my birthday with my sister. Not once did any of the staff acknowledge that it was my birthday, even though I had a ribbon on. The food was decent, however it was a lot of money for a small portion, and difficult to eat poke bowl. Pay attention to your customers and positive recognition will follow.
Didn't feel a friendly vibe, tried to talk to the bartender, hostess, and waitress. Wasn't busy and was just asking general questions. Menu is good but took them a while to get the food to us. Sat at the bar and the bartender walked by our salads 4 times on the 5th time, as he leaned back, I asked for them... Since they where right in front of us on the back salad bar.
Went for dinner with 5 others on Dec 29th for 630pm with reservations. We were seated promptly, seemed like a light night. Ordered a Bloody Mary that was good and an order of crab cakes that were outstanding. At this point, I felt like we would be in for an amazing dinner. I ordered the salmon and my wife, the fish and chips. The food arrived. This is where the dinner nose dived. My dinner was served warm. My wife never recieved hers. After approximately 5 minutes our server stopped at the table to check in with us. I asked how much longer for my wife's? She checked and returned promptly stateing " the kitchen only made 1 fish & chips for our party", which 2 people had ordered and it would be another 5 minutes. My wife and I started to share my meal for the time being so that our guest would not feel uncomfortable about starting to eat. My salmon.....I would not recommend. It was bland and served on a bed of yellow potatoes. Very disappointed. The fish & chips.......small portion of fish, just ok. Plate of fries. Very good cole slaw. As for the rest of the group; "It was ok, it was good, I don't know if we would come back". If I had to rate this restaurant, it would be, Atmoshere 4 Service 4 Drinks 3 Appitizers 4 Most important, dinner disappointed.
Food was good, will say that. But waaaaaaay overpriced for portions. We were there for a party of about 15 and staff seemed really unprepared to handle that. Very slow getting food and most everything else. Really I don’t mind the price if the portions were fair for what they ask. But to me, $64 for a SMALL portion of chop suey and two beers seems a bit much. Also, wife is vegan and nobody knew what that means, could not answer any questions with any certainty. To be honest I paid the same as I have to eat at the top of the Prudential in Boston.....and it’s not the Prudential.
