This place is so fun and retro, has a great vibe and an amazing playlist to relax to and enjoy your food, which is outstanding, I got 3 of their tacos and each one had a one of a kind kick to taste, also the drinks were well mixed and the ratio on point! 10 out of 10 would recommend !
Listen, the nachos are amazing! I had them without meat and my son had them with bison. We both enjoyed it immensely. We started with the Mexican street corn dip...DELICIOUS to say the least. And our server, Monte, was very attentive. The atmosphere was great and I will return! Great vegan and vegetarian options!!!
I love this place. Food and drinks never disappoint. Hands down, they have the best margaritas in town. I have yet to have anything I did not like here. Staff is always great, and they even remember my food allergies. This is one restaurant I can go to and know I won't have a food allergy reaction. We go here to eat at least once a week. Oh and let me not forget the best bartender! She makes sure that our marqs are extra spicy 🔥 and a ready before we can even place our order. Elite service.❤️
Food was good….Guac/steak taco/chicken taco. The rice was ok, couldve been more flavorful. Blueberry margarita was excellent. Great atmosphere, employees very nice.
We loved this place! The food was wonderful and so fresh! We got the smoked salmon dip as an appetizer and we specifically can to try the blueberry margarita. I highly recommend getting the blueberry margarita. We had the Migas as an entree and the Birria burrito, and the servings are massive!
Wow! I’ve just had the best Mexican meal EVER!!! If you are ever in Little Rock, AR it’s a MUST GO. Started with house and blood orange margaritas. Aw man… Then our appetizer was the street corn dip with homemade chips. Devine! My husband had the beef tenderloin tamales, excellent. And the topper for me was the taco salad with chicken. This is hands down THE BEST taco salad I’ve had in my entire life. Perfectly fried shell bowl, and the game changer is the salad was mixed with the dressing Before going in the bowl. Then topped with perfectly marinated and grilled chicken. We finished our meal with seriously the best churros EVER. We stopped on our way during a road trip. Now I want to come back for lunch and try something else. Go. Run. You will not be disappointed.
FANTASTIC...Overly critical of food places and this one blew me away. Loved every aspect. Josh was legit and so chill. The vibe here was very laid back and fun. The food and drinks were exceptional. The spiced apple margarita and chorizo taco were legit some of the best I have ever had. Go here please. You won't regret it.
Spectacular! The food was amazing, service was even better. They were busy but I bet every staff member stopped by to make sure we were doing well. Fantastic experience. Forgot to add: try the 2 local hot sauces! They are both great. The Peach + Carolina Reaper is the best, though.
Our recent dinner at The Fold left us thoroughly impressed. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere struck a balance between trendy and cozy, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. While the menu leans towards the pricey side, the exceptional quality of the dishes justifies the expense. The service was impeccable – friendly, attentive staff added to the overall positive experience. The drinks were a highlight, with a diverse selection that complemented the flavors of the dishes. My wife raved about the beef tamales, and my shrimp, catfish, and peach pastor tacos were a delightful fusion of flavors. The street corn botanas were a standout – a must-try for their unique and delicious blend of tastes. The Fold is not just a culinary gem but also kid-friendly, offering a dedicated menu for the little ones. The Fold in Little Rock provides a memorable dining experience with its great atmosphere, delicious food, attentive service, and fantastic drinks. Despite the slightly higher prices, the overall quality makes it a worthwhile indulgence. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a satisfying culinary adventure in Little Rock.
We will be back! I normally hate green tomatillo-based salsa, but I think it might have even been better than the red salsa! Staff were relaxed, helpful, and fast. We had several people help us instead just a single waiter, and that kept our water glasses full and our chips topped off. We had nothing that wasn't fantastic. My steak burrito was as good as the staff promised it would be. My wife's beef tenderloin tamales were just as good. One kiddo tried bison for the first time and really liked its spiciness. My youngest ordered the chicken quesadilla, and it's smoked chicken made that the best quesadilla I've probably ever tasted. Prices are pretty high. A glass of In-House lemonade is $5. With chips and queso as an appetizer, our four meals, and a shared order of churros, the four of us paid about $110, including me much-deserved 20% tip.
If you're looking for some great Mexican cuisine, The Fold is definitely the place to go. They have a really cool decor inside, and the cheese dip was delicious. However, I thought it could've used a tad more salt. The bison burrito with the red sauce and cheese on top was amazing, though. The staff was friendly and attentive, and parking is available across the street. Overall, I had a great experience at The Fold and would definitely recommend it to others.
New favorite fresh Mexican restaurant in Little Rock. Parking was tight but once inside you will forget all about that. Service was great and very helpful. Fist time visiting and they answered all our menu questions. The chips and salsa are great with amazing queso so start with that. Tried 3 dishes and loved each of them. Everything was cooked to order and I was surprised at the end by all the desert options. Unfortunately I didn’t save room so I’ll just have to go back. Very fresh and tasty you won’t be disappointed.
Bison burritos. I will order this every time. Really great flavor and filling. The pitchers of Margaritas were excellent as well.
We've had up and down experiences with the Fold, and they haven't had to do with the food, which is generally good. They have more to do with the demeanor of some of the greeting staff and wait staff, which can be less than welcoming. The whole place has a cool, young, with-it vibe, a kind of I'm so cool that I can't be bothered with pretending to be friendly and polite vibe. Maybe as an older person, I expect a sort of non-brusque, authentic and human, approach from people with whom I interact in a public setting. And maybe increasingly younger folks are not socialized to see things this way. What's good about the Fold, the sometimes iffy reception and lack of politess in employees set to the side, is the food. The salsa roja is top-notch, loaded with cilantro and blessedly free of the sweeteners with which some Tex-Mex places not far from the Fold love to load their salsa. We had brunch today, and I found my plate of chilaquiles not bad but also not great. There are better chilaquiles to be found locally than these, which are on the dry side. The huevos rancheros my spouse enjoyed were, however, first-rate. We both thought so. It was a warmish but not hot April day, a breezy one, and sitting outside on the patio was very pleasant. This is another plus of the Fold, the ample outdoor seating at tables not crammed too close together.
I dont know what I expected regarding the food, but I expected a little more. I know people really like this place but it's really just ok. The service is outstanding. I can't debate that at all. But the food was merely ok. Well this is for me anyway. We had roja and Verde salsa, and white queso. My wife loved her queso, but the salsas were not great I've had better. The roja salsa was decent with a very slight kick. The Verde had an odd taste to me that I couldn't take. It seemed to be to much lime or cilantro in it. We did have entrees. I had the 3 fajita steak tacos with a side of rice. The tacos were really good. They seasoned everything in those tacos. The rice was heavy on the lime and cilantro as well. I had to add hot sauce to eat it. My wife really liked her taco salad. The ingredients were fresh and the lime vinegarette was good as well. The only issue was the shell that held the salad was very greasy as if they didn't let it drain enough. The service was great. Like I always so check it out and let me know what you think.
Fold, wonder how they got that name. Fun and funky place. Renovated garage look. Tacos are more on the small tapas side, but delicious. Tacos are reasonably priced! Plenty of booze choices. Bar area. I parked on the street for no fee. A few TVs for sports. Many patio seating choices. Looks like they can handle large groups. Great vibe! Staff friendly and efficient! 😀
I used to love this place. But I’ve been snapped out of my hypnosis. $40 tab for a burrito and a margarita should be ILLEGAL.. don’t even get me started on the tacos. Damn near $5 for one bite sized taco. $10 for a kids sized queso. I love the food and vibes but I’d have to take out a loan to visit there again, and it’s not even fine dining
I have heard many people tell me to give this restaurant a try and finally did. I ordered an appetizer of Guacamole ($9) and I enjoyed it I just felt like the size of it was more like a side. I ordered three tacos: Mrs Green ($5), Diablo Shrimp ($5), and The weekly chef special which was Blackened Shrimp ($6). When you order 3 tacos, you get an included side. I chose Cilantro Lime Rice. The tacos were great but the shrimp were not marinated or anything so they didn't taste very flavorful but overall still good. The only complaint again is the size, the tacos are served on a small corn tortilla making them small for tacos and price. I thought the cilantro lime rice was amazing, and was sized right. The service was great. My total before my tip was $27.66. I don't think I will go back here again because it didn't feel like a great bang for my buck but at least the place is super cute!
I was excited to try this place with all the good reviews but was sorely disappointed. I had the cheese and jalapeño tamales with cilantro rice and black beans, chips and guacamole, and lemonade. The lemonade was delicious but that was where the flavor stopped. The guacamole was bland and almost flavorless. The tamales were very spicy but also without flavor. The rice and black beans were the worst and were absolutely disgusting and tasted like no salt beans straight from the can. Beautiful restaurant and presentation but they need a new chef
