Terra Mia is a charming Italian restaurant known for its great food, service, and ambiance. The gorganzola gnocchi and Pollo Parmigiano are highly recommended. Some customers have experienced long waits on weekends and inconsistent food quality.

The wife and I came here knowing nothing about the place. I know the area and haven’t been very impressed by the other restaurants but figured we would give it a try. The decor was charming and atmosphere was pleasant. The bread served made us nervous as it was soft crusted and felt store bought. The Caesar salad was somewhat mid (though the Parmesan in it was yummy). The pasta dishes however were outstanding! The pasta clearly fresh made and the sauces had a deep flavor, seasoned perfectly and cooked long and slow l - the way a meat sauce should be.
Some great American twists but traditional dishes too. Real Italian owners that are both in the front and cooking the food in the back. Great for a family gathering, romantic date, or just getting a drink at the bar with both American and international sports playing on the tvs
Italian restaurant, doesn't look that interesting from the outside, inside is well done. Food and service were excellent.
Excellent food with nice ambiance. The wait was long on a Saturday night, but was worth the wait. Find a hightop near the bar and enjoy some drinks to make the wait fly by. The Pollo Parmigiano was delicious. We were so hungry... forgot to snap a pic. 2nd visit during the week... food and service worth it. Thanks guys. 3-1 Still AMAZING love this place.
Terra Mia has great food, service, and ambience! Our food was brought quickly, and the portions were good. All dishes were delicious, no cap. It was giving. TBH, slayyyy! This place was fire! #Authentic Brb, Terra MIA!!!!!! Keep SLAYING!!#yas
9-2021 Absolutely get the gorganzola gnocchi no matter what else you get. We ordered a plate to share as an appetizer. The wife also enjoyed her salmon dish. My chicken parmesean was ok but a little tough and not especially flavorful. Everything about this place is fantastic. The food was great the service was phenomenal and the decor is pleasant and warm and comfortable. I am actually surprised I have never been here before.

had a group birthday party here in one of their banguet rooms. Hosted 40 people. They did an excellent job! Very pleased with their service, food and atmosphere.
We went to Memorial gathering so not aware of pricing. The venue was very charming and the food was good. The appetizer served was pizza, delicious. They have a large dining area with full bar service. Our room was a little crowded because the gathering was probably larger than what they were expecting. The serving and Wait staff was very attentive and personable. Our group was in one of two private rooms. It was the perfect place for that type of gathering. It looked like it would also be a great place to eat. I didn't look at a menu but Italian never disappoints, so many things to choose from.
Food: the portion is way more than we expected and the tomato sauce base pasta is great! It’s a pretty good option for what it is with price and tastes. Ambiance: cozy and quiet. Service: nice and helpful
Beautiful place cozy and warm, our food was good , it meet my expectations on flavors ,drinks were good. And the personal was excellent
A Mixed Experience I recently dined at this restaurant with my son and had a bit of a mixed experience. I ordered the scallops, which were flavorful and cooked well. However, I was taken aback by the pickled cucumbers served alongside them. I didn't expect this addition, and unfortunately, it didn't complement the dish as I had hoped. I ended up leaving the cucumbers untouched, as they threw off the overall flavor profile for me. My son opted for the spaghetti with meatballs. While he enjoyed it, he wasn't overly thrilled with the dish. We both anticipated a bit more from our meals based on the restaurant’s reputation. Overall, while there were some highlights, the unexpected flavors and lack of excitement in our dishes left us wanting more. I would consider returning to try other menu items, but this experience was a bit of a letdown.
We came here last night for dinner. 1st time here. I remember years ago somebody had mentioned an Italian Restaurant off of East Avenue in Livermore. Nice place and overall nice atmosphere. They have some outside seating (several tables from what I saw). They also have 2 rooms to accommodate parties or special event and a full bar that looked like it stayed busy with their regulars. We ordered some drinks and my martini was made to perfection (actually both of them lol). I started with a large Caesar Salad (to keep it real not truly large). I think (of course everyone has their own opinions) but the dressing could have been a little creamier but I could taste the anchovies that were mixed into the dressing. Nice but not overpowering. I like anchovies and ordered some on the side. My wife had their Beet Salad. I think the portion could have been slightly larger but she said it had a good taste. They also provided some freshly baked bread that was really tasty. My mom (it was her Birthday) ordered their Lasagna and she really enjoyed it. They give a very large serving and she said their red sauce was fantastic. Not heavy but she said it had great flavor. The way it was constructed was also done really well. I ordered their Fettuccine Primavera with Pesto and fresh vegetables. The waiter asked if I wanted to upgrade for $3 to their fresh made pasta (of course I do) but the dish could have had more pasta, especially since I upgraded but oh well. I liked the flavor but my wife felt that it had to many Pine Nuts. My wife ordered the Terra Mia Pizza (a 12” Pizza) that had eggplant and mushrooms with a light red sauce. I liked their pizza and felt it was prepared very well. Since it was my mom’s Birthday, she mentioned she liked Tiramisu so I ordered one to share. The waiters brought it with a candle and sang Happy Birthday in Italian. That was a nice touch. The Tiramisu was delicious. Overall we had a very nice dinner with very good service.
Search place has a very nice outdoor patio right in front of the main entryway. The food, service and outdoor ambiance all contribute to a very nice experience. And it doesn't hurt that the prices are reasonable. All in all this is an excellent value and a great experience for dining during the covert 19 restrictions.
Excellent food and service. The restaurant is decorated very well. There is an outdoor patio for outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. There is also a private room for larger events. They start off with a bread basket. There is balsamic vinegar and olive oil on the table to self-serve. The balsamic vinegar is very tasty. Their calamari was woofed down by everyone in 2 seconds flat. The lasagna is really done well.. not too acidic. The fettuccine with Bolognese was excellent. The portion of the tortellini with ham and tomato cream sauce was too small. The pizza was yummy. However, I have had better elsewhere. Our water was constantly filled. Our used dishes were seldom left long at the table. The servers exchanged our dirty dishes for new dishes numerous times. We would definitely come back again for the delicious food and service.

Never been to this side of Livermore and were taken here by some friends who love Terra Mia. Easy parking in the mall lot. The inside is a very nice surprise! Old school Italian rustic charm. Very cute, and definitely unexpected from the strip mall exterior. Good and attentive service but our meals were a little slow coming out eventhough they weren’t that busy. I got the salmon pasta. It was good and creamy but not a lot of salmon. Also no greens or other additions to it so very heavy pasta and sprinkling of crushed salmon pieces was the whole dish. She got the spaghetti tutto mare (seafood) which was lighter and packed with tomatoes so it just kinda depends which dish. Overall a nice experience and a good meal.

I took a date here about a month ago, we both loved it but I got sick, not sure what it was but there was another guy in the bathroom pulling also so 🤷🏼♂️ everything else was great, the waiter was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. The food tasted great.
Seems like a favorite amongst the locals. Complimentary table bread was soft but otherwise flavorless. Highly recommend to skip it. Trust me. The salmon with penne were small bite size pieces of very soft salmon and al dente penne and a creamy tart marinara sauce. (4/5*). Spaghetti tutto mare had lots of clams, shrimp, squid, mussels and small chunks of a white fish in a tart marinara sauce (4.5/5*). Calamari fritti was lightly fried and seasoned but a bit rubbery and a smaller portion than expected (2/5*). Wouldn't order again. Service was ok. For some reason it was also very hot inside. PS. Corkage is $12 for Livermore wines but $20 outside of the area.

Went there last night with friends for dinner . Service was terrible. We had to ask our waiter where our food was 25 minutes after ordering. Waiter was not friendly or attentive. Food was decent for three out of four of us but lasagne was cold and over sauced. Ceasar salad was less than mediocre. Garlic bread was okay and glad we ordered it since our food took a long time to come from the kitchen. Won’t go back.

Very disappointing! The service was outstanding and attentive. The restaurant is beautifully done, but the food was not. My wife had the chicken picatta and it was very dry. The vegetables were very mushy and the mashed. potatoes were dry and hard. My combination pizza was amazingly bland. However, the couple we were with liked their dishes, a Margherita pizza and the spicy prawns pasta.
This place is usually spot on. Tonight we had a cocktail that was all alcohol with no taste. A glass of wine took ten minutes. Our server was working really hard I guess so he didn't really make eye contact or ask us if we needed anything or if the food was okay? There was a manager walking around tables, he passed us several times I made eye contact with him and he never came. The ravioli had maybe 5 narrow pieces in it??? Why did that cost so much???? Canned ravioli had more substance. The caprese salad was the best part. There was a waft of dog poop flowing in the restaurant every time someone opened the door. Likely from the dog dining out front with it's owner. Our bread was cold. No butter offered. The biggest thing was the service. Why are we paying for customer service to be ignored by wait staff?

Unfortunately did not have a good experience this past Saturday for a double birthday party and a party of 8. Stinky sewer smell seated next to the fireplace, chicken parm was awful (4 of us ordered, no need to elaborate), dinner delivered very slow. Cant rate atmosphere because it was stinky. Too cheap to put a candle in a little scoop of ice cream for the 2 birthdays we celebrated turning 79 and 81. Our table spent quite a bit including dinner, drinks, wine corkage, 2 desserts. Absolutely awful and this is my personal experience I rarely post but I need to get the word out how disappointing this experience was. 1 star our waitress was very nice.
Edit** new review as of 2025 We have been going here for years and it's just gone downhill we thought that it was a fluke but we returned four more times and every time just seems to get worse the quality of the food was bad the service was bad. After ordering it took over 40 minutes to get the appetizer that should tell you enough... Oh and it was a Thursday and not that busy. It's definitely more of a family-friendly Sizzler type environment rather than the Italian date night it used to be. -z- Old review below I have to admit we've had an okay time and we've had a great time at this location but recently we came and the wine recommendation, the special for the night everything was perfect

I was really disappointed with Terra Mia. The food was bland and tasted nothing like authentic Italian cuisine overcooked pasta, watery sauce, and very little seasoning. For the prices they charge, the portions were small and not worth it at all. What made the experience worse was the service. One employee, Sara Speroni, came across as rude and dismissive when we asked simple questions about the menu, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

You walked into a restaurant and see tables full of people and they told you to wait 10-15 minutes, it’s understandable. Not this restaurant though. They made you wait 25-30 minutes to be seated while there are plenty of empty tables available. There weren’t even “reserved” sign on the table, and when we were waiting on one of their table outside, one of the staff started preparing the tablecloth, proving that it was available. So I don’t know if it was because their hostess is new, confused,or both.
