Tin Thai is a popular spot known for delicious Thai food and fast, friendly service. Customers rave about the generous portions and flavorful dishes, though some find the spice levels mild and parking challenging during peak lunch hours. Prices are a bit higher but worth it.

03/29/2018 update! Still the MOST consistent service and food I've experienced!! We continue to go here, and I'm quite particular about my food being the same every time. They've NEVER failed, and ANA (our server) remembers our preferences and makes it a TRULY trouble free visit every time! ❤️ Always consistent food and service. Very accommodating about menu substitutions and additions.
I had never had Thai food previously other than from Noodles & Co. This place is authentic! They prepared the food quickly and had it ready for pick up before the time they quoted which is fantastic. The flavors and veggies used were exceptional! Highly recommend and will be coming back again in the future.
Tin Thai is a hidden gem tucked away in a strip mall behind a gas station. Don't let the location fool you, the food here is great. You can tell that the ingredients are high quality and super fresh. Service is always fast and friendly too. The interior is simple but clean. Delicious food and a great value, I just wish they were open on weekends too!
The food here is quite flavorful. As a vegetarian, I quite liked their Spicy Tofu Basil, and eggplant basil. Service is good but I'd recommend avoiding peak lunch times as the place gets really busy.
Though the lights dimmed at the front of the store made it look like this place was closed, we entered in and we're delighted by the offerings. They have some wine and Singha beer to accompany delicious Thai dishes. They have a solid selection of vegetarian options. All the things people selected were completely eaten. Normal sized options mean you won't feel the need to overeat.
The best Thai I've had in the Tri-Valley and I've tried a bunch. Definitely one of the better restaurants in Livermore. The decor is nice for being in a little strip mall out on Vasco. Food is presented very fancy. Bright colors, crisp veggies, solid flavors, intense heat on my "as spicy as you can make it order." I'll be back.
Small dining area with a Rustic atmosphere ( tin walls hence the name I'll wager). Great food prepared by experts and brought by a great wait staff. Reasonable $$ and you really should try the Thai iced tea. Too bad they close early and are not open on the weekends.
Quality lunch spot!! I'm in there at least once a week. The food is fantastic, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Parking can be a real pain though if you try to go there after 11:30 for lunch!
Amazing authentic Thai food every time we come here during lunch! May want to get here early before the lunch crowd due to limited parking and seating. Great service and food turnaround is quick and delicious!
Best Thai in Livermore! We love this place. the food is great. Try the Skirt Steak if youre a carnivore or the Kow Pad Poo crab fried. The daily specials are also worth trying out. The food is suprisingly a little pricey, but we think its worth it.
Amazing thai food prepped and made by a wonderful team. I've had Pad Kee Mao from places around the bay from SF, to San Jose, Santa Cruz, and even places out of state and by far Tin Thai has the best. Their other dishes are fantastic too, but Drunken noodles is my go to dish to judge a Thai restaurant. Support real food made by a humble business and team.
Really good food. Extremely friendly staff. Feels like family. Reasonably priced. Around lunch wait can be long, try to arrive around 11:30am.
The best thai restaurant this side of town. This is not your usual pad thai place. The food is authentic and just like Bangkok street fare.... You won't find it anywhere else. We go on a regular basis. Our favorites are the minced chicken with rice and egg, the fried rice and the fish.
The Drunken Noodle and Shrimp Pad Thai were both amazing. So fresh and flavorful. I am blown away, like legit almost started crying. I’m so sad that I live so far away.
Our favorite Thai place in Livermore. It's more of a gourmet Thai place rather than a full menu Thai place. So they don't have every option. Bit what they do have is really really good. A+
Very tasty stuff😀. I've only been there a few times but have not been disappointed. Will be going much more often after the meal my colleagues had tonight.
Great food (spicy basil beef) and warm, welcoming service. Food was perfect temperature and spice level.
We went here on a recommendation and were happy we did. Cute little atmosphere, excellent service, and the food was 👌. (And the bathrooms were very clean!) The young man that helped us with our orders, (Om, I believe but probably misspelled it) was so nice and helpful talking us through different dishes and making suggestions, then he kept coming outside to check on us and make sure we didn't need anything else. The food... I got these puffy curry things that were 5/5. I'd go back just for those. Also, drunken noodles were delicious and then one of their popular chicken dishes that I cannot remember the name. Also had a green papaya salad which was delish too. For me, some dishes were a moderate heat, but I love spicy food, so if that's an issue, you can request they tone the spice down. Also, we ate outside with the dog, so they are dog friendly!
Great flavors. I had drunken noodles, khao soi and eggplant tofu. We had mango sticky rice for dessert.
The curry puffs were delicious - think Thai X Indian flavors. The chicken drunken noodles were very well cooked, seasoned and the chicken was not stringy or tough!
One of the best Thai restaurants by far. Very casual and very delicious. The prices are a little higher than other Thai but the flavors are amazing and totally worth it!
Got the Duck Noodle for lunch. Service was fast. Food was generously served, with a nice combination of textures and tastes. Be mindful that the bill includes de facto a 18% service charge for dine-in seating.
I ordered takeout today, the minced chicken pad kra pow, and it did not disappoint! Cant wait to dine-in next time!

Hands down the best thai food in the bay area, I cant even get thai anywhere else since discovering this little gem. The quality of food is well worth the price, and youre supporting a local family owned business.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The food is piping hot and delicious every single time. The service is fast and friendly. I usually go with my wife for lunch during the week and this place is always packed. That's because a lot of other people think this place is great too. I would recommend the duck noodles, but all of the dishes are good.
Good thai restaurant, would happily visit again, but not my first pick in Livermore. Spice levels were a bit mild for someone who likes spicy food.
Great food and lightning fast service. We will be back soon!
Delicious. I recommend the pad see ew. So tasty

Delicious Thai food with a good atmosphere. Closer to authentic Thai taste for a place that is far from Thai Town in Los Angeles. Place your order and pay then find a seat. Seating is limited and the place is very busy weekdays at noon. Majority of the people are from the labs. Coke products available and are sold by the cans. Outdoor seating available. Restrooms are open. Parking in shared small Plaza lot is tight and not recommended for larger vehicles. Street parking is available and can accommodate trailers but that too does fill up.
This was a wonderful find. I got the chicken drunken noodles and was not disappointed. I personally enjoy my food extra spicy so I requested it with extra hot peppers. If you don't like spicy you may not like that dish. The proportions are very large so if you order appetizers you may be able to split a meal.
I like Tin Thai Kitchen. It is a safe choice for a work time lunch when you have to get back for a 1pm meeting. Since they changed their approach to having you order at the counter then sit and get served they have gotten even faster. Take out orders take 15 minutes consistently, which I like for picking up dinner. For me their noodle dishes are a favorite. Duck noodle is always good, and the drunken noodles chicken is a nice spicier option. Tom yum soup is very nice on a cold day. Portions are not large, and the prices are reasonable, especially during lunch. The major down side is parking. There is a very small lot shared by several restaurants and the next street often fills up during the lunch rush. I recommend getting there early.
Really good food. Very nice folks. Check your order though. Sometimes they forget items. Such as side of rice. But awesome place and food.
Came here on a Wednesday for lunch. The Thai flavors are very authentic. Got the shrimp pad Thai. I would give it 5 stars if portions were larger. Otherwise you’ll likely need to get 2 entrees to feel satisfied. Around $20/entree.
The curry here is amazing. I like all the spicy options they have here but am not the biggest fan of the mild ones. I enjoy the food, the (quick) service, and how I always seem to find a table despite the place being packed. The place does get busy, but people seem to come and go quick enough for it to not matter. Parking lot is small but I always seem to find a spot along the fence by the gas station. Overall, I like this place. I was put off at first by the small plates but a few bites in this place really suprises with how much they can pack into then. Definitely a go to place for Thai in the area.
Some of the food, especially the non-curries, is quite distinctive and well done. I'm not convinced by the newer dishes, such as the shiu mai and curry noodle below. The food is better than the counter-service experience would suggest, and I do really like the duck curry and the dry green peppercorn curry. Can be absurdly busy, go before 11:45 a.m.
Fast and home style Thai food. Caters more for the american style though. Homely retro look. Not a lot of parking, kind of hard to find. Most people leave quickly for lunch grabs.

This is a good, casual place to come for lunch. The spice level could be a tad spicier, but it's fine. The food is good, a tad on the Americanized side, but overall good. Lunch portion is good. Price is reasonable. Peak lunch hours could be tricky with parking at this complex. The ambiance is a bit eclectic, but fun; they play oldies music and has a burger joint kind of ambiance. Good place for lunch!
Lunch special, on business. Was served to table hot and quickly. Our meals were delicious, and not fancy. This is a storefront restaurant made for local businesses, spartan interior but is really well suited to the clientele. I would go here again if a quick lunch...not so much for a leisurely meal.

Meh. $12 average, no drinks...expensive. Decor...very average. Food ok to very good, but not for the money. You order at the counter, pay, sit down, pick up your cardboard plate when your number is yelled at. There it is...
Food is good but careful when checking out. They asked if I wanted a receipt and when I said no they charged me 18% for a tip without asking. Only reason on knew was because it flashed on the screen.
The food was ok, it gets the job done. It's like a quick bite, but not oh damn I need to come back. I didn't like the fact that they didn't have the chili containers and gave me Sriracha instead. Prices were good considering it's Livermore.

Not too bad but not the greatest. Had the Beef Pad See Ew and there was maybe 6 pieces of beef in it. Mostly noodles and veggies barely any egg. Wish the portions were better. Sauce was not really existent, couldn't really taste it. I also got the fried pork belly dish to try as well. Again, the portions were off. Barely any protein in it but at least it had a good amount of sauce. Overall would not recommend.
Service was good. food mediocre at best.. choices slim. Other than the rice dishes portions were small left hungry. Compared to other thia restaurants throughout CA it falls very short. Had better thia food in Laramie wyoming. . Decor would suggest it was a mom and pop hamburger joint not very classy
There are no vegan options here. This is directly from their staff. Fish sauce used in even the vegeterian options. My review from a few years back was deleted.
UPDATE: used to be a regular but now they not only jacked up their prices, they automatically tip themselves 18%!! For what??? To bring the food you already paid for out??? Not sure what additional service they’re providing…portions also need to be bigger. Plate always looks empty uno serving.
Don’t want a certain ingredient in your food? Too bad. Even if your deathly allergic to an ingredient in one of their dishes they will not take it out for you. They tell you to find another dish that doesn’t have that ingredient. Good too know the task of subtractracting a vegtable from a dish is too hard for their commercial chefs. Also, as someone who’s been to Thailand several times, their tea is decent and the food is subpar.
Portions are too small and they have increased their prices. 15% tip is minimum charged at the counter itself. Won't be coming back again.
I ordered a few dishes. My first time here, I eat Thai 3 times a month. The red curry beef I ordered had 4-four pieces of beef. Seriously?!
