The managers and staff all get along and it shows! Their service is remarkable as are their food and beverage offerings. Inside is surprisingly lovely and can be considered romantic for a date night and just as comfortable for a family meal. Accommodates large groups and small gatherings, comfortable enough to sit and enjoy yourself as a single diner as well. You'll feel comfortable and appreciated every time you go!
Fun place to visit! The atmosphere is very cool. The place is huge. I love their Buffalo Mac n’ Cheese and Boom Boom Shrimp tacos. You can never go wrong with either. They have pretty good burgers as well and I love their seasonal menu, always great meals on there no matter what season! The drinks are also very good. I do not like their Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip sadly. The staff always seems friendly!
We had our September wedding reception at NYBP and we couldn't have been happier!! From the moment we booked the venue we knew this was the place we wanted to share our special memories with our friends and family. Shana was AMAZING! She made my day stress free and was so incredibly easy to work with. The food was so delicious and the staff was over the top friendly and professional. NYBP has 65 new forever friends. Thanks again!
Wow what a cool spot in an amazing building. The vibe inside is great. They have a ton of beers on tap as you would expect. I didn’t get to try the food but it smelled amazing. The place was quite busy but it’s a large spot too, so you can easily bring a large group or just hang out with a friend. Will definitely be coming back for food and more drinks. lol
It was a great place to eat! Service was a little slow but it was busy. We did have a wait of 45 min for a family of 11. We tried to make reservations but said they dont do that.
You never know how a place will be. Upon entering you see the barrels and the fermentation vessels. Pretty cool. You must order your food and drinks at the bar. The waitress was sweet and knowledgeable about the IPAS and whats on tap. The salads are huge and you can order flights. The flights are 5oz glasses. If you are in this area check it out! You won't be disappointed!!
Great bar and restaurant! Was passing through on the way to Niagara Falls and chanced upon this fabulous brewery/restaurant. Alessandra was our server and she was very friendly, knowledgable and attentive. Amazing selection of beers brewed on site. Even managed to have a chat with Jason the brewer about the brewing process. Food was also great, with many tasty options to choose from. Overall can’t compliment the friendly reception and service we received enough - lovely people and venue - thank you so much for our warm welcome.
Check out our review if you’re planning a group event! ⬇️ We recently celebrated my mother-in-law’s 90th birthday at the boathouse extension and had an amazing time. Highlights from our table included: • The ‘outrageous’ Bloody Mary • The delightful ‘Sunday Funday’ bowl • Refreshing Rockefeller mimosas • The savory crabcake Benny • The hearty BBQ Benny • An extensive selection of beers Everything was delicious! We were particularly impressed by the outstanding service—attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring a relaxed but well-cared-for dining experience. We will definitely return. This place is a terrific choice for family gatherings and is highly recommended!
Decided to go here for my birthday and I was very impressed. I went on a Friday around 2:00pm and it was very busy. I ordered a beer sampler, mashed potato balls, and a chicken pesto sandwich with pasta. The beer was very good, sandwich was phenomenal, and the potato balls were alright...they were kind of cold. My pasta was too al dente for me, but the flavor was very good. Service was good as well. Only downfall was that there were a ton of flies flying around. Will definitely return.
It was my first time here a few days back. It was pretty busy with a short wait for a table. Don’t let the wait deter you. The service was really great and the food was even better! The Brooklyn mozzarella logs are simply mozzarella sticks on steroids. They’re huge! The burger and fries were also very well cooked to my liking and tasted great!
This place has the absolute BEST food around!!! The holiday seasonal drinks were so good and the food was incredibly delicious. I'll definitely be returning very soon. This is my new favorite place!
We came home for a visit and stopped at one of our favorite places NYBP. From the time they opened until last week their food and craft beer always hit the mark. The Buffalo Mac and Cheese. Is my go to and a Game Day. Our server KD was so knowledgeable and very kind. Knew all the right times to ask if we needed anything amazing worker. Thank you KD for making our trip back home and to one of our favorite places rememberable. So much so we had to stop and see the Orchard Park location. Let me save that experience for that pages reviews… let’s just say just amazing!!!
Really like this place. The beer was well done. Had the Hawaiian IPA could really taste the mangoes and hops. My wife said their blueberry Pop-Tart beer was the best she had ever had of I the blueberry beers. Food was awesome as well. Started off with a pretzel, fried pickles and nachos. Was pretty impressed the. dips for the pretzels were awesome. The barbecue brisket sliders embraced pot roast sandwich or some of the best I've had around. Definitely go check them out.
Megan B and Kd told me to tell you guys that this place is great. They don’t have my family and my dogs hostage or anything, I promise. No really, these guys are all great. Been coming here for a while now and always have good laughs with all the crew here. Food is good, beers solid. Great place to visit for fun events like boozy bingo and music. Dayna and Christian heard about the ransom and they wanted in. They’re also awesome, along with Jake and Jake and Nick and Lauryn, and everyone else, they’re all awesome. Please give me my dogs back guys. Keep the kids.
Fun spot to eat and enjoy a beer. This is a popular spot on Saturdays and the building is large with lots of seating. We enjoyed fried cheese logs, fried pickles and hot wings. Compliment the hot wings with a sampler flight of beer. Our waiter was attentive. I recommend spending some time here.
We have been coming to NYBP in Lockport since they opened. We have never had a bad experience. The food is always great, the staff is top notch and the beer is 🥇 award worthy! Today was no exception! I was celebrating a birthday and they helped me create a beautiful memory. The manager James and Cindy the server were fantastic! This is why we keep coming back. 🍻🍔🥇❤️
We had a rather large party and they accommodated us very well. The service was great throughout. We tried the melt sandwich and the beef on weck sliders. The Bavarian pretzel appetizer is huge, comes with three dipping sauces and is delicious. My one complaint was that the noise level was incredibly high. It was hard to speak to one another and eventually became so grating that we had to leave.
An absolute “must see” restaurant if you are visiting the Buffalo area. This brewery / restaurant checks every single box and is incredibly consistent. Staff is friendly and welcoming, food is amazing, the vibe inside is outstanding and the menu is always changing. Rarely do I have a trip to Buffalo without visiting NY Beer Project.
Last weekend (10/17/25) we hosted a dinner at NY Beer Project (Lockport) for the bridal party and out of town family members the night before our son's wedding. Everything about the evening was perfect! The food was excellent, and the service was great. I corresponded with Karisa several times before the event, but never actually visited NY Beer Project until that night when she had everything set up as described. We had a buffet dinner and beverages (Beer/wine/soda) in The Cask Room upstairs. It was a perfect space for us. I want to add that I initially filled out an info request form for a different venue, but after two weeks of not hearing back, I sent an info request form to NY Beer Project. Karisa replied to my email confirming availability less than two hours after I sent it. We were so pleased with everything at NY Beer Project that I asked to speak to the managers on duty to tell them about our wonderful experience.
The place is beautiful the service was amazing and I had the biggest fattest juiciest most delicious Burger I may have had in my life there. Wednesday's Burger night definitely stopped by
Went for lunch and had the barbecue brisket sandwich. The brisket was really good and it wasn't overdone with barbecue sauce. The fries were crispy and brown. The waitress was very friendly and made sure to check on us. Also the Skittles sour that they have now is really good. They allowed us to try it before we bought a glass.
It was crowded and had to order a appetizer in order to drink. Their was no where to do that down stairs. The hostess offered to wait upstairs and have a drink. It took a lot of pushing to get her to suggest that option. Once there, I was greeted with a smile and outstanding service by Taylor R!! One suggestion is you should open it up upstairs instead of a wait so people can enjoy themselves, have a runner help serve it so bartenders can tend bar and serve. Food was good quality and well prepared but luke warm at best. Overall it was a great experience I think just a few tweaks are needed.
My company was a vendor for a wedding at NY Beer Project this weekend, and I felt compelled to write a review. Charisa, the coordinator, was truly amazing to work with, and treated the vendors on the same level as the guests. She, and the rest of the staff, were very attentive and made sure our couple's wedding went off without a hitch. This is one of the best experiences we've had as a vendor at a venue, and I think that speaks volumes to how they treat anyone who books an event with them. Highly recommend!
First time here and when you go in its so beautiful. Definitely a social atmosphere. I went with my grandparents and our waitress was Anthony! Shoutout to Anthony! He had excellent customer service skills. Treated us very kindly, gave us time to order, etc. We didn't even have to ask for our refills either. He saw and then brought us our refills. Our food was absolutely incredible. I had the Italy plate I think it's called or Italian plate . It was a nice fettuccine with chicken on top and a sidw of bread. My grandfather had the yacht sandwiches which kinda looks like a cool fort made of fries and sandwich and my grandma had the Jamaican BBQ sandwich which did have a little kick to it. The Jamaican bbq sandwich came with sweet potato fries with some creamy sauce reminded me of carrot cake icing tbh. The sandwich was good . Good amount of sauce and seasoning from within. The yacht had perfectly seasoned fries and the sandwich was of turkey, Applewood bacon, tomato, and this aioli. I've never had aioli before definitely adds to the sandwich mwah! My fettuccine was wholesome and filling. Perfect amount of sauce and noodle ratio is great! You really do need to swirl your fork in it to it. What a wonderful experience with that in Italiano style lol. Bread was decent . Chicken was good. Last but not least we shared the cookie skillet with vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzle. The cookie was so soft and warm and the chocolate chips inside were melting. The ice cream paired well with it. We all really enjoyed it and it's the best cookie skillet we've ever had hands down! Thank you guys for this wonderful experience. Will definitely come back in the future when I'm able to!
Love this place. Always beautiful inside and great food and drink selections. Went for lunch with my mother and sister and it did not disappoint
My wife and I have been going to the Lockport location since 2019 and end up there at least a couple of time a year, this year it was twice in one week and it didn't hurt my feelings. The selection of IPA's, Stouts and Lagers is on par or better than most of our other local breweries. This time it's the Hazy Crush for me and the Coffee Milk Stout for my wife. The food and service is EXCELLENT. I have been trying different menu items on each visit and have not had a bad meal here yet. Their selection of burgers and sandwhiches is top notch, I have tried three different burgers, the brisket sandwich and the Hoboken chicken. The beef on weck I tried last night was some of the best I've had. Then there's the appetizers, the Boom Boom shrimp is FANTASTIC as are the fried pickles, sometimes we just order the them with a flight and/or a pint. The Sweet potato and Parmesan Truffle fries are so good! The Sunday Brunch! Smoked Brisket Hash!!!! Breakfast Pizza YOWZA, WOW....I could go on and on about the food here and it's one of the many reasons we keep coming back! The open layout with high ceilings is friendly and inviting, the restrooms are clean. There is PLENTY of parking. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY IT.
We were in the area for a hockey tournament. We went in for take out and ended up buying some beer for Christmas presents. The food was amazing - I wish we had of purchased more of the brisket quesadillas. It was so good. The staff were welcoming once you got their attention. There were lots of staff as they were getting ready for the friday night rush. The atmosphere was lovely, decorated for Christmas. We will definitely return when we are in the area!!!
Had a great time at the New York Beer Project. Bartenders were very attentive and friendly. They accommodated my gluten free and dairy free dietary needs, and I had the most amazing pepperoni bacon onion and mushroom pizza with gluten free crust. I would have taken a picture, but I inhaled the pizza before I thought to do that. Oops! Also enjoyed the Black Bird Cider (pictured).
I love the New York Beer Project in Lockport! I was especially happy to dine here this week to sample items from their fall and restaurant week menu specials. Their spooky margarita flight was fun and fabulous! The butternut squash ravioli was comfort food perfection, and the bang bang tacos were out of this world! The festive fall decor in the entrance was so cute and colorful it really added so much to the seasonal atmosphere. They have a large bar area separate from the dining area serving cocktails, craft beers and more! Its a great place to hang out and have a couple drinks too. Large free parking lot easy to find a space! Great gastropub- overall 5 stars!!
Love, love, love this place. The food, vibe, the atmosphere but most importantly the staffs is great. . KD has gone above and beyond to make our dining experience absolutely amazing. It’s amazing to have such as wonderful staff who cares and listens. As a frequent diner I truly recommend coming here for a great experience.
Had a great time at the New York beer project. Service was wonderful. Location is great. Had a boost that wasn’t particularly comfortable. Just not quite big enough for four grown men. I had the celebration sandwich. It was good, but I’ve had better versions of the same thing. Sweet potato fries were very good especially the honey dip that came with it. Overall, the good experience, but I’m not in the microbrews so someone else might be more excited about this place.
Wow. We are visiting from out of town and saw this place on the way to our hotel. We decided to go, after my fiancé informed me his boss took him here awhile back and wouldn’t mind going again. It was only about a 10 min wait, around 6pm, and then seated in a booth. We ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos— which comes in a set of 3, as an appetizer, then The Hoboken (sandwich), and the salmon. Each dish served was explosive in flavors, and cooked to perfection. I wish I could remember names, because everyone working were all very friendly. Our waitress was so personable and attentive. The whole mood was positive from start to finish. I think this restaurant supersedes our favorite back home.
Went for Lunch and had the Beef on Weck with a Bloody Mary . Went back for dinner and had Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos and Margaritas . Both were phenomenal suggestions by Gabbi and her service was above and beyond with a great smile and welcoming attitude. The entire experience was incredible. 100% will return any time I'm close to Clifton Park!!!!
A great dinner spot! I've been here a few times and it's always been good. The beer is great, burgers are solid. I had the caesar salad special this time... whoever had the idea to put a mozzarella stick with the salad deserves a raise or at the very least a forehead kiss. I was able to enjoy the wonder that is fried cheese without the guilt of eating an entire order myself, and since it was on the salad, automatically healthy. I do however wish there was more dressing overall so I could clean it up with the mozzarella stick, and if the noodles were also tossed in the dressing that would've taken it home. It seemed like they (noodles) were maybe tossed in olive oil and salt which made them very salty and not cohesive with the salad. Overall a solid dish I was not mad. The service is always nice and friendly, both host and servers.
Absolutely LOVED this place!! Good service! The beer was tasty, the food was scrumptious!! My son had his burger half way done before the rest of us even started eating. He finished every last crumb of food. Such a lovely atmosphere. We brought beer home! This time we sat inside; next visit I would like to sit outside. I, highly, recommend.
My husband and I went there last night for the first time because every Wednesdays feature a Beatles cover band, highly rated craft beer that is brewed on sight, plus $8 burgers. Having never been here before, we were amazed to discover how enormous it is. There is the main dining room and the tap room, which is less first come, first serve. This is where you want to go if you only want drinks, to be "up front" with the music on Wednesdays and Fridays. Definitely more of a "bar" atmosphere than the main dining room. We roamed around a bit and finally decided on the main dining room where we could still here the music, but be in less "bar" atmosphere. In addition to there excellent list of on sight brewed vbeers, they also feature signature cocktails and wine for someone like me, who isn't a beer fan. My husband ordered their "Destination" IPA and found it to be very hoppy, a beer to be sipped. I had a glass of "Bella Creme" chardonnay, their only oaked selection. Both were excellent. The menu is amazing, featuring a lot of creative choices. Since it was the $8 burger night, we had to try them. I had their "Flatiron" burger, but substituted bleu cheese for American. My husband had the " Williamsburger," which featured bleu cheese and pears, plus a special sauce! Each were accompanied by house made fries and pickles. No complaints from either one of us! I'm looking forward to going back and exploring other menu options. The only thing that prevented me from giving a 5* rating was the noise level, which I guess should be expected from a building of this height and capacity! Definitely a welcome to the burgeoning brewery scene in WNY!
Our night here began interestingly. I think it threw us off that we were asked at least 4? separate times about whose party we were here for by the hostesses. Other people were able to be seated quickly, but for some reason our party was pushed to the side so that we had to be asked several times by different hosts. It was poor communication on their part, but we came on a busy night so we somewhat understood. Then, as we were seated, they put the clean silverware on top of our menus. I know for a fact the menus were not sanitized so we had to ask for clean silverware later. Our server was thankfully amazing! To drink I had “Walter’s Raspberry Jelly Donut”, and our friends had some tasty drinks as well. For dinner I chose their “NYBP Island Rice Bowl” (minus guacamole, fire roasted poblano crepe fraiche, and cheese) which was PHENOMENAL. It was a great night, just thought that the restaurant would want to know about the interesting start!
This is a place for great beer. I have found a few indent like over time but with a selection like theirs it is the rarity. The food. While the appatizer of chicken wing dip was good it was some how pasty and dry. My fish fry was awesome it was crisp, flakey and the serving size was respectable. The beer infused cocktail and tartar sause added a nice zing to the fish which was so good hardly used them as forgot them a little. The coleslaw was a dry mix which some may like but not my style. I like it wet. Overall this place is always worth the trip.
I am in town for business and the last time I was here I went to this restaurant and had a really good burger. Upon arrival there was a 30 minute wait once I was seated. I was greeted very quickly by a really nice server and I ordered a grey goose extra dirty martini. I had one there last year and it was really good and I got a Sidecar with it last year however, this year I didn’t get a Sidecar, but it still tasted well. The only complaint is for $18. I should get more than 1 olive when you’re asking for an extra dirty martini. I ordered the hometown hero sandwich which posted award-winning, cherry barbecue sauce, pulled pork, Manhattan macaroni and cheese house slaw, and a jalapeño cornbread what I got was a tasteless one note sandwich, how they got an award for their cherry barbecue sauce is beyond me. It was so bland and the pulled pork was so so, the Manhattan, macaroni and cheese was about 10 twisted pasta noodles with no cheese sauce. The house slaw was OK and then the bread was like plain white grilled bread. There was no jalapeño in that bread. In all my travels and taste of barbecue sauce that had to be the worst barbecue sauce I’ve ever had. They need to stick to their hamburgers because those are good if I were to go back again, I would stick to the burger.
I would pick the lockport one over here. Food was good, servers were friendly, but just way to big without it being useable. Hour wait for a table which is sectioned off for being seated section or a free for all for small tables by the bar. The outside was nice looking but for some reason they give you less food options for outside seating
I love it when I Go to the middle of nowhere and find a place I want to eat at everyday. Not saying that this is the place, but it is Damn close. I got an American classic meal. The Burger and Beer with sweet potato fries. This was some great food here. If you're on a date make sure she's a keeper if youre paying. While not cheap does carry good value in its ambiance and quality.
They look at you funny when you order soda instead of beer... Took awhile to get a menu. After getting thru all that. The buffalo wings are the best I have ever had. The sauce is to die for I couldn't get enough of it and finished all my fries with the sauce. the medium sauce was perfect kind of heat for wimps like me that can't handle hot foods. Excellent price also. Recommend!
The staff was nice and the atmosphere was ok... but it was very loud. The wait time was 45 minutes, and they had no place for customers to sit while waiting. The entrance was very congested. The server was very on top of things, and the food was delicious. I'm not sure I would wait 45 mins again, but being the first time I figured, why not.
The food was really good. You could taste the freshness in the pizza. Mozzarella sticks were really good if you were craving something crunchy and gooey. We also had the pretzel which was a little sad looking but surprisingly really good. Only thing that made it a 4/5 was the wait and pretty below average service. Overall a great Wednesday night experience!!
Note: I've been a Yelp reviewer for years and decided in order to help out my community who is not on Yelp that I'd copy & paste those reviews to Google. Now, read on: There are no half-stars in Yelp, but this is probably more of a 3 1/2 for me than a four, but it's Christmastime and I'm generous. I've been to NYBP for the Silent Disco and the Dueling Pianos. Fun events. Maybe a little more crowded than I'd like in a Covid world, but I attended these events pre-pandemic and the crowds weren't as scary then as they may be now. When you go to an event like that, you expect laughter and loud talking and probably going home with a bit of a sore throat after yelling over the crowd all night. My husband and I went for an early dinner this week. It was before 5pm on a Monday night. The place was more crowded than we had expected (yay for popular restaurants!), but we were still able to find a decent parking spot (yay for all that great parking at NYBP!). However, my watch warned me no fewer than three times that the noise decibels were high enough to damage my hearing. My husband pulled out his noise dosimeter (cuz that's the kind of guy he is) and read the noise levels consistently at 87-92. It was really hard to keep a conversation going. But now let me get on with the rest of my review for you whippersnappers. The food was pretty good. I have never had a bad meal here, but still haven't been wowed. This visit, my husband had a burger that he really enjoyed. That sucker was huge and fully stacked! He also enjoyed his fries. I had the crustless chicken pot pie. The creamy chicken part was really good, but I was not a fan of the flaky crust. Don't get me wrong; I love a good flaky crust! The flavor of this one just wasn't to my liking. You might love it, though! Our server was really great about refills and being attentive to us even though there were quite a few full tables that night. In the past, I ordered the wedge salad. I love a great wedge salad, but I'm not a blue cheese girl. They had no problem substituting the ranch, but they don't have any options for cheese that were to my liking. I admit, though, I am picky about my cheese. I just don't enjoy a pungent cheese. They offered gorgonzola instead of blue cheese, and while I love a gorgonzola in a fondue, I'm not a fan of gorgonzola crumbles on my wedge. Basically, I wanted shredded American or cheddar. They didn't have either and that's really okay. I know that wedge is fantastic to anyone who loves the soft, pungent cheese. When my brother and sister-in-law were in town from California, I really loved bringing them to NYBP to sample a flight. I've never been a big beer drinker, but my brother owns a microbrewery out west and I knew he'd really enjoy the experience. This is where my brother told me, "You should try a sour; I'll bet you'd love it." He was right. Guess what, Guys? I am a beer drinker! But sours only, please. Anyway, at that time of day - shortly after opening for the day - the bar was quiet and we could hear one another really well. That's the time of day to go if, like me, you want to have a conversation with the people you came with.
Everyone enjoyed their food and our visit. Thought it was odd to get a huge wedge salad on a side plate but they dropped off a bigger one. The beer menu needs much more detail for the subtle notes and finishes. Not sure if the victor location had a longer list or if the server knew the profiles of the whole menu. The sparklers are a very nice tough for the appreciated birthday dessert but they leave crunchy inedible boys on the ice cream. Looking forward to my next visit.
Food and service was really good. The mozzarella logs, chicken wings and fries were really good. We had a Jamaican bbq sandwich that I would probably pass on next time. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t as flavourful as I was expecting. The beers and drinks we tried were great. Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu.
A sizable microbrewery with a nice atmosphere and good service. The pot roast sandwich is very good and the boom boom shrimp tacos were a hit. Take a pass on the Brisket melt -- it has very little meat and the BBQ sauce is not good. We tried 4 brews amongst the four of us and all of them got the thumbs up.
I had the September special burger. It was good but very messy. It was made with ham, caramelized onions, beer pub cheese on a pretzel bun. I don't personally care for the fries. I didn't like it when we were being seated, I asked for a booth. She put us at a small, tiny table, one side had a chair, the other side a booth bench. She looked at me like I was from outer space, said nothing and walked away.
We got the nachos which were great! The quac was the freshest ever. The Alfredo was really, really good I tried my partners, probably a 12/10. My son didn't care much for his pizza, my daughter asked for boneless wings and the kitchen was nice enough to accommodate her even tho that wasn't a menu item. I got the cauliflower wings which were a 10/10, but my Caesar salad was just not good like 3/10 but I didnt complain bc the cauliflower wings were soooo good. I got a blackberry old fashioned and it was soooo strong so if you're looking for a strong drink I'd definitely get that. The waiting staff was pretty good.
When you pull up to this place, things are a bit confusing. There are two entrances. One of them is for the bar/brewery and the other is for the restaurant. There isn’t any signs in their main parking lot which is to the side of the building. So, the first door you see is the brewery entrance. The facility is very lovely, decor wise. They have a great selection of in-house brewed beers. Cocktail list is very nice as well. Their menu is exciting. There are many things to choose from that sound absolutely amazing. My party ordered the Bavarian pretzel, sweet potato fries, truffle fries, and the fried pickles for starters. All of those were very good. For our mains, we ordered jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, the macaroni and cheese, the Buffalo chicken wing dip and the pulled pork sandwich. A couple of complaints we have about the food is the buffalo chicken wing dip was very bland & the Mac/cheese was a bit bland. We tasted it and ended up sending it back. It had no flavor other than the chicken and melted cheese. That was very disappointing. Everything else was out of this world. Our main issue was the service. Our waitress was very nice, but not very attentive. When we ordered our second round of drinks, she left all of the original empty glassware on the table. That made the table fill up quickly. Same when we finished eating. When we finished our entrées and were just wanted to enjoy after dinner cocktails, we had to flag her down more than once to make a single round drink order. We would probably go back for appetizers and drinks.
New York Beer Project has a really stunning atmosphere. The design and open space make the place feel lively and inviting, and it’s a great spot to hang out. I was also surprised by the variety of food they offer. Food-wise, everything we had was decent, but nothing that really stood out as amazing. The General Tso’s rice bowl was okay—perfectly fine, just not particularly memorable. The mac and cheese was a bit underwhelming and could have used more depth of flavor. On the other hand, the burger and fries were good and we had no complaints there. Overall, it’s a great place for the atmosphere and drinks, and the food is solid, just not quite “wow.”
The food and beer are always great whenever we stop by. I really enjoy brunch and when the weather is nice the patio is lovely. My only suggestion would be getting a TouchTunes (jukebox) for the back bar area so the vibe can match the crowd.
Went on Xmas eve for lunch. They were surprisingly very busy. Seated quickly. Just a suggestion that T-shirt sales be handled separately from hostess seating. There were 3 parties waiting for a customer to decide on a shirt to buy. With being busy the service was spot on. Apps, kids meals were very good. The boss burger was cooked perfectly. We had to send the sandwich back as it was way over and super dry. No problem things happen. Would recommend and will be back.
Unfortunately they couldn't accommodate our large group but told us we could go in the back to the bar area, that too was packed. It was a little difficult ordering because it was so crowded we all had to crowd around the bar to order but we got it gone. It took awhile but we got our food, bbq wings(didn't get a pic by this time we were ready to go because it took so long) and nachos. The wings weren't crispy like we requested and the nachos just didn't taste good. Unfortunately, I returned the nachos and he kindly refunded us and we kept the wings but cooked them longer when we got home.
We ordered the October Special; Halloween "Boo"-tine. Beer-braised short ribs, house-made beef gravy, and cheddar cheese curds served over fresh cut fries a few days ago. Food got 2 stars just because the short rib cubes were surprisingly melt in your mouth texture. Gravy was gravy. The cheese curds did not taste like cheddar or any cheese for that matter. It also did not melt at all. Just lumps of non- melting cheese lumps. The fries are not fresh cut. The are frozen shoe string fries which burn easily in the fryer and easily overcook, which then was transferred onto the plate. We didn't even finish half and left the rest. Not worth the $14 for frozen fries and cheese that does not melt. If you want a real poutine with fresh cut fries and real cheese curds that melt, go to Resurgence Brewery in Buffalo or Canada 🇨🇦. Atmosphere was good, but the service was lacking and impersonal for a slow night. The bar back helped us more than our own server.
Big place. Food was alright. Didn't realize they were only serving brunch. The brunch menu was off-putting to our group and made it difficult to decide what to get. The crab cake on our salad was not good. The breakfast nachos were good. Although the put a giant glob of sour cream on it. The burger was good. Nice beer selection. Service was great and attentive.
My wife and I received a few gift cards for NYBP and decided to go try it out. Got there around 4:30 and was seated right away. Our server Megan B was very attentive and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Time from drink order to drink was about 3 minutes and food only took about 10 minutes. The drinks were very good, although they were on the small side. The food was what you would expect from a bar. Portions were good but everything was very heavily salted and seemed like it had been hanging out for a while before we got it. Loved the atmosphere and the attention, would not go back for the food but it's a nice place to go watch a game and have a few beers.
Had lunch with friends today. Roast beef on kimmelweck was awful. The beef was not fresh cut, it was like a fatty processed cold cut. Roll was sub par. Who puts sugar in sweet potato fries? They were served cold. I asked for another order without sugar. They didn’t appear to be hand cut & lacked flavor. At least I enjoyed the Bloody Mary.
I usually like nybp but today I ordered take out. I ordered the chicken and waffles my husband ordered the famous steak sandwich and my daughter had the boss burger. My daughter was the only one to get good food. The chicken and waffles was very dry and not much taste. It says it has honey garlic sauce. When I picked up my box it felt empty. When I looked at it there it was skimpy and there was No sauce on it at all. All it was , is two waffles and 2 chicken fingers. $17 for 2 chicken fingers and a couple waffles. I had to add something to it in order to be able to eat it, it was so dry. I wish i could have had some of the honey garlic sauce. have gotten chicken and waffles at other places and was delicious. I AM Very Very Disappointed. Never will I get this again. My husband wanted his steak med rare. Well it was Well Done. Dry , no seasoning no cheese very plain and it was very small. Definitely not worth $19. In any way. He also go the salt potatoes again no flavor. This dinner was a waste of money. It makes me have second thoughts about going there again. We usually go one a week or more. I think we have to find a new place. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because my daughter liked her burger.
I used to go to the beer project all the time and they had amazing drinks and food. After visiting for the first time in a while this restaurant has lost its quality in food and drink. The house seltzer tasted terrible and the food was awful. Only had two bites and couldn’t eat it anymore. Do not recommend this restaurant.
I’ll get right to it; Please don’t order the general tso’s Chicken bowl. The chow mein is crunchy if you’re expecting cooked noodles. Sadly it looks like hamster food. The pineapple was good, the dish looked pretty. The beer was fine. Chicken was okay. Extremely busy. Waitress was fine. Seemed very eager to get our check though. Food was not their strong point.
Went there 7/28/25… food was great I got a burger with avocado… the bun was amazing, burger was cooked perfect to medium with just the right amount of char flavor to it, fries were excellent. Service is poor to non existent! Atmosphere is loud; so loud it’s impossible to have a conversation… so loud you’d HAVE to drink a beer just to numb your headache. This is the third time and last time I’ll visit here… the first time I went there we were served at lunch time at the front bar … served foo with no napkins, no silverware, no salt and pepper… I literally got up and walked around d the bar to get these things because the server never came back… I’m totally convinced I could have bussed my own dishes and left without paying and no one would have known… No comment on the beer… I didn’t like it… but I don’t drink beer so…. Mostly it’s just too loud… even without music there too much echo and just not a nice place to eat at overall.
We went there during a Bills game and it was half empty, so we figured we lucked out being able to get seated right away.. However, we should have turned around as soon as we walked in. Miserable hostess put us far away from any TV’s facing a brick wall.. Mind you there were plenty of seats open.. Instead of complaining we sat side by side and slide our seats around to watch the game. The waitresses all looked miserable as if we walked into a family squabble.. I ordered the brisket melt and it was terrible. There literally was no meat it was all fat and gristle. $19 seemed like a fair price for a brisket sandwich but when there’s no meat and even if it was meat it didn’t even fill the sandwich bread. I never send food back when I go out to eat so complaining wasn’t an option.. Especially since we only saw our waitress when she took our order and when it was time to get the bill.. I did mention to her that the sandwich was very fatty and she told me that I should have said something earlier so she could’ve gotten me a new sandwich. No thanks. I don’t trust any kitchen staff after a complaint. Maybe that’s just me.. 🤷🏼♂️. But I didn’t even have that option since she was nowhere to be found after she took our order. Someone else actually brought the order out to us. I’ve worked in plenty of restaurants. It’s not an accident to put fat trimmings instead of actual prime meat on a sandwich. Those cooks know exactly what they’re doing. The atmosphere was not fun even though we were there during a Bills game and the food was very subpar. I will never step foot in that place again
I never write bad reviews, but the service at New York Beer Project was so disappointing that I felt like I had to this time. Our server, Nathan, barely acknowledged our table the entire time. We had to ask the hostess just to get drink refills, and our silverware came so late that by the time we finally got it, our food was already cold. When we mentioned it was a birthday, he didn’t even give a simple “happy birthday” or show any effort to make the experience special — just a quick glance and walked away. It’s a shame because the atmosphere and food have potential, but service like this really ruins it. We genuinely believe Nathan could do much better if he just put in even minimal effort or attention to his tables
My husband and I just ate here for an early Valentine’s lunch. Michelle was a great waitress but that’s where the positivity stopped. As we’ve eaten here before, we got the nachos and chicken Mac and cheese. The nachos were the saddest looking thing we’ve ever seen. No toppings on half of them. When we brought it to Michelle’s attention, she offered to bring us more (pico, cheese and beans). She did say portion sizes have changed according to the kitchen-okay so $14 for less food, got it. But at least she tried. Then the mac and cheese came out. This couldn’t be disappointing, right? Well. Despite us ordering the EXACT same thing, my husbands portion was literally double the size of mine!! It was like I had the kids version. I’m Not sure if Ray Charles was in charge of portion control but it was such a disappointment and we will not be back. $51 plus tip for a terrible valentines meal. Thank you, Michelle , for trying your best. NYBP, do better.
