Celebrated a friend's birthday with group of friends. My 1st time here and I personally feel so welcome and looked after. The menu was explained to us in great detail by a member of staff Roberto, who was very friendly. He even volunteered to take photos of us, as a rimender What a lovely experience. Tea, champagne was very good and all desserts was delish!! Love love!!!
A fantastic experience with great menu options - my friends and I went for the first option which allows for two items from each course (starter, main, scone, and dessert). There were amazing options both from the tea selection and throughout the courses, though no vegan options. Staff were excellent and attentive throughout!
I read the comments of different afternoons tea places, and I can say that this one was rightfully rated. It is for sure the best for the quality and the price. The service is impeccable, the waiters are attentive, kind, and thoughtful. The atmosphere is beyond this world. And the dishes are just exquisite! Don't be fooled by the amount of options, because i can assure you that we struggled to finish ours. They offer a large variety of teas. The scones are soft and light. And the sandwiches are on another level. I recommend you to take the mushroom appetiser it was so fine, it coul be comoarable to a truffle dish. A must! Overall, I recommend this experience!
Location easy to get to by tube and bus as it's on Oxford Street. Next door to Debenhams. Entry via hotel lobby and access via lift or stairs to first floor. The tables are laid out beautifully. The China is just gorgeous! This is afternoon tea with a difference you get a menu and choose 2 items from each of the sections. The starters we had were hot and so tasty. They are followed by the more traditional scones, sandwiches and deserts. All very fresh. There is an extensive choice of teas and we had a bottle of presecco as part of our package. The service was very good - attentive but not intrusive. We felt that the cost was reasonable for all that was included in the package. I have attached some photos of our food choices. More available on the menu. Dietary requirements were also taken care of.We felt this is a special afternoon tea and will add to our list for a revisit. Thanks
Me and my friends went there yesterday and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was charming, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was exquisite. From the perfectly brewed teas to the tray of treats, every detail was thoughtfully crafted. The service was impeccable, making us feel like honored guests.
We had a lovely time here with my mum. The staff were all really lovely. We had a gift voucher given as a present last year and it was about to expire at the end of the month so we squeezed it in. Unfortunately the voucher was for high tea which they stopped doing a few months back. The team and the manager were so apologetic and discounted our afternoon tea to make up for it. Although it did cause a delay to us getting our food, the staff went over and above to make us feel welcome. The food and tea was excellent quality and very filling. The location and ambience were nice as well. It was nice to have a hot starter section so it felt more like a main meal than just sandwiches. We would definitely recommend and come back in the future.
Afternoon tea with an Italian twist, served in a traditional hotel dining room. Traditional in a good way - think wood panelling and leather chairs. The service was excellent, and the food was high quality, particularly the Italian starters and the desserts. We started with a glass of Prosecco to accompany the starters, then moved on to tea with the sandwiches, scones, and desserts. There are at least 10 teas on the menu, and each diner personalises their meal by choosing 2 selections from each of the 4 menu sections. Fantastic value for money and a lovely respite from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street.
This was my first British Afternoon Tea experience and this place overall gave me a very good impression of it. Is it the best catering I’ve ever had in my life? No. Is it worth the price? Absolutely! Compared to other high priced afternoon tea venues in London, I have to say this is a very good value. I’m not sure about refill because the staff didn’t proactively offer so I did not bother asking.
I came for afternoon tea with my mom to celebrate her birthday. It was so lovely to arrange us with a table besides a window, and thank Yildiz for preparing birthday surprise for us!Also the food and tea is quite delicious!Highly recommend the tea house!A must to go in London. We had a pleasant day!
No matter where you are in the world you are at home when tea is served. It’s a saying and definitely Bond St. Tea Rooms make you feel like home , very calm , relaxing environment spotless clean and cosy. We felt welcoming by the staff from the moment we walked in , all the notes I made where taken into consideration and I have to admit I was surprisingly impressed because it got so busy all of a sudden and I thought we might be let down but all team members were spot on. Now what definitely worth on this afternoon tea is the selection of 2 starters you can have before the traditional tea tower with the classic sandwiches, scones and desserts. You can choose your options for everything which is great as well . We try the courgetti fritti with pecorino aioli and the chicken Milanese and where so tasty , great selection and quality of tea. On the other hand if i have to be completely honest we where a bit disappointed by the quality of the sandwiches although the fillings where great they where a bit dry . Scones and desserts where ok but again we are more chocolate fun as well so is a bit up to your personal taste but they where freshly made can say that. Like I mentioned in the begging the hospitality was above and beyond cause they cared about our opinion and looked after us and were passionate about delivering a great experience and that’s what matters . Can’t recall all the staff we came across but Ishwar stood out and he dealt promptly with the situation and his knowledge and we would definitely be back. Thank you and well done to the team for communicating so well.
I cannot say enough kind words about my afternoon tea experience at the Bond St. Tea Room. I’d first like to note I looked and researched every afternoon tea in London. I booked here and thanks to Sahal and Shahanad they exceeded any expectations I had. I was running late, passed the allowed grace period, and called the restaurant. Not only did they still honor my reservation, once I arrived someone was waiting at the door to guide me up to the room. When we arrived we were the only guests (probably due to the lateness on my behalf) but it felt like the most exquisite private dining room experience. I truly felt like a queen. We receive 4 courses accompanied by tea and champagne. First was a small appetizer and after you’re finished they bring you the traditional tower filled with finger sandwiches, scones and desserts. Everything was timed perfectly and the manager Shahanad suggested certain teas and even let us try his favorite. For a much lower price compared to other teas houses in the area, you get more courses, and food bursting with flavor without sacrificing quality. This was the best meal I had during my stay in London. The staff is extremely attentive, kind and knowledgeable. They come by and check on you to make sure you have everything you need unlike most places that will just drop off your meals. They offered to take our photo to remember the experience. We felt welcomed and you can tell they genuinely cared about our experience. It was my first time in London. It has been my lifelong dream to come here and being a tea lover, afternoon tea was something I could not miss. Thank you once again for making this experience truly special and one of the main highlights of my trip. I cannot recommend Bond St. Tea Rooms and the staff enough!!
The Bond St. Tea Rooms is a different experience from your typical London high tea. You get to select from a menu of apps, sandwiches, scones, and desserts. Get the beef rib app. Not what I was expecting. A real wow! Tuna was also good. Sandwiches are nothing special. Several types of scones to chose from. Desserts were great, especially the cute tiramisu in a cup. Generous quantity. We were completely full and satisfied. Service was outstanding! We had a small disaster with a leaky ink pen, and the staff came rushing to our aid. Also appreciate that they open earlier than most tea rooms. Can go early to avoid the main crowd. And very convenient location if you are shopping on Oxford St. Highly recommend!
This place is hidden and underrated for afternoon tea. I love it because they have a hot starter/cihetti which you don’t find in many afternoon teas (if at all). The staff are very friendly and the afternoon tea is delicious. It is not unlimited and for that you get a lovely afternoon tea at good value for money!!
I loved the afternoon tea experience here, it was my first time having afternoon tea, and I really enjoyed everything I had there. It important to point out that this is probably not the best place to go if you want a traditional afternoon tea, even though they offer the scones and the little sandwiches, I feel like it had more tourist friendly options. The price for quality was really adequate, around 40 pounds per person and I couldn’t even finish all the food, it is really well served. The two entrance plates were amazing, we had the chicken, the tortelloni and the courgette, which were all amazing. Besides that the sandwiches, scones and deserts were really good, they also offer coffee options for those who don’t like tea, i had a mocha that was delicious. Overall I really recommend this place
We visited a couple of days before Christmas for the Festive Afternoon Tea (£40pp) and were pleasantly surprised! The place was decorated beautifully and the service was brilliant - the waiters were very friendly and helpful. We got so much food (2 small plates, 2 sandwiches, 2 scones, and 2 desserts) and it was all very tasty and well sized - we were completely stuffed by the end of it! There was also a great selection of teas and a hot chocolate for me as I don’t drink tea. Will definitely be returning :)
Went there back in Oct. 2019 and it was amazing. Really went above and beyond on expectations for my first London afternoon tea experience. The lobster brandy bisque was out of this world.
Had such a wonderful experience here—honestly no complaints! It was super easy to reserve a table, even doing so the day of. There was a wide selection of teas to choose from, the food was delicious and filling, and the presentation and dinnerware were beautiful. Really loved how customizable the experience was, being able to pick and choose which treats we wanted on our plates. We were extremely impressed with the quality of service, too!
It was a great tea time! The staff is kind and smiling. The rooms are fancy and so is the toilet. It's like a real Alice's tea time! ♡ The lamb, the tea, the meat, the cakes, everything was amazing!
We came in a Friday afternoon and have a table by the window. Staff Vivek and Swayam are attentive and polite. They explained clearly.
This was everything we could ever hope for and more from an afternoon tea. Shehared (sp?) and Sahel were AMAZING and constantly checked on us. We started with our choice of two appetizers (the tuna tartare was amazing!) and moved onto the three tiered finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The tea and prosecco were great too and the price was right! I will be coming back!
The entire High Tea experience here was phenomenal. Being able to select items from a short list meant my partner and I each enjoyed a meal suited to our own tastes. Regardless of the choices, everything was delicious. It seemed an entire team, led by Samarth S., was present to ensure the experience was divine. By booking ahead with Open Table, we were even given a complementary glass of Prosecco. HIGHLY recommended.
Booked for a Friday afternoon treat, what a delightful find, just off the bustling Oxford Street, easy to locate and what a warm welcome. Delightful dining room, comfortable and warm, a nice quiet table with plenty of room to drop the bags and relax. Lovely china. Every tea imaginable, fresh leaves and piping hot. Our waiter, so polite and attentive yet not overbearing, he talked us through the menu, simple to choose, and let me tell you - the choice is amazing...two hot dishes, most welcome on a cold February afternoon, I had Sticky beef and the Onion Tart, my daughter chose Spiced Scallops and the tart also, absolutely delicious. Next, six choices of scones, again, so tasty, light and airy. Eight fresh sandwiches, different types of bread. divine. Next (struggling now, so much food) the individual desserts, the presentation was perfect, the little touches awesome, I forced myself! If you want a filling afternoon tea, this is the place, refreshing that there are gluten free and considered vegetarian options, they've certainly got it right, filling and value, super service in a lovely setting.
The service, food and drinks were absolutely wonderful. You were able to pick your afternoon tea selection individually which I absolutely loved. The staff were always keen to make us feel relaxed and well looked after and every moment was really enjoyable. I highly recommend
We had the most wonderful Afternoon Tea at Scoff and Banter off of Oxford Street. Our sever Roberto couldn't do enough for us, the food was delicious and plentiful and it was the perfect treat for my sister and mum. I would thoroughly recommend here if you are looking for somewhere special to take family and friends. 10/10 cannot wait to return!
After much research, we decided on this location due to the options on the menu, something to suit everyone! For a first afternoon tea experience, it was brilliant! Great attention to detail and service by Ishwar and Sahal couldn't be faulted.
Located right next to the Bond Street tube station, inside the Radisson Blu on the second floor. A very cosy and welcoming tea room with attentive and friendly service. You have the option of choosing three types of tea experiences, regular tea, prosecco and tea or a champagne tea (all at their respective price points). These all come with a choice of two starters, two sandwiches, two scones and two desserts. There are vegetarian options to choose from! I recommend you come hungry as you'll definitely be leaving stuffed!
🫖4-course AFTERNOON tea with Champagne . Situated in Radisson Blu hotel in Oxford street you can pick between classic £34, Prosecco £40 or Champagne £45 Afternoon Tea. You get 4 courses and you can pick two items for each course (total 8 items per person). . The items marked with ⭐️ we enjoyed the most: . CICHETTI Chicken Milanese, aged parmesan crumb and rocket salad Tortelloni cacio e pepe ⭐️ Courgetti fritti ⭐️ Bruschetta of yellowfin tuna tartare . SANDWICHES Smoked salmon, lemon and dill creme fraiche on bagel ⭐️ Rare roast beef sandwich Torn burrata with red chilli pesto on focaccia Cucumber and tahini labneh sandwich . SCONES Maple and sultana Vanilla Seville orange⭐️ . DOLCI Blood peach panna cotta with milk chocolate Tiramisu⭐️ Italian lemon meringue Black forest cake with Amarena Cherries⭐️
Had such a lovely time here! Kajal gave us great service, she was very friendly! The food was amazing too. We have the traditional tea, jasmine, which was great. The scones were so soft and warm and fresh and yummy, and the zucchini basil spinach sandwich was incredibly flavorful. I also enjoyed the tiramisu and the cheddar doughnut.
Came here with my family of 7 and had an amazing time. We primarily chose this place because of the price, but it ended up exceeding our expectations. Afternoon tea is £44, which is much better than 86 or 72 like other places. The china was lovely and the atmosphere was very intimate. The tea was loose leaf and had good flavor. It was great to be able to pick all your own food and desserts as it wasn’t pre-fixed. It was all delicious and fresh, nobody had any issues and were sincerely impressed. The service was great and felt super personal.
Really excellent food and love the ability to choose your options. The mushroom tortellini was absoulty amazing. I agree with another reviewer that the sandwich's could have been more plentiful. The chicken club was particularly small but the salmon bagel was perfect. Scones and dolci were perfect. Only thing I would say is that the staff could read the customers better. They were very efficient, but at times over friendly. They were asking me questions and even when I was giving one word answers were continuing and I heard them ask a couple about why they were there. The couple said it was their anniversary and the server then stayed and talked to them for ages and I could feel that the couple wanted to be left alone. Amazingly attentive though.
Great lovely tea room. Loved the decor and service was amazing. The afternoon tea was the best I have had so far. Lots of choices on the teas and menu, and full size portions. Highly recommend you pay a visit.
It was my first experience of afternoon tea and it was amazing! Everything was so delicious and people were so kind. I felt so warm and peaceful :)
My husband and I visited yesterday for afternoon tea. From the moment we walked in the staff were very attentive. They were able to accomodate my dietary requirements very well. Our server was lovely, he could not do enough to ensure we were having a great time. The view out of our window was not that great but this was not an issue to us as we were talking and enjoying each others company. The decor inside is relaxing and modern. The food was delicious, it came out promptly and was served beautifully. My only negative on this is that the jam is very runny. You cant beat a good tiptree jam so maybe they should look into reviewing a better choice. A perfect relaxed afternoon, thank you!
I called their hotline to ask for vacancy before and they were efficient and effective in answering. their servers were polite and smiley. The food was okay, not very amazing ones but up to standard. The utensils they provided were lovely and pretty.
Solid 4 star experience. The service was good, not great. The tea was delicious and the snacks were tasty.
Spectacular afternoon tea experience here! The tea selection is varied and the snacks/bites are fresh and delicious. Highlight of my afternoon was the Pana Cotta 🙌🏻😉
We had a mixed experience at Bond St. Tea Rooms. Cups and tea pots were very cute although some had chips in it. We were served by Sabin, Najib, & Yildiz who were all very kind and attentive. For this afternoon tea, we each had to pick two items from each of the four categories. The starters were definitely the highlight, tuna tartare and cacio e pepe ravioli were great. The sandwiches, however, were quite disappointing, bread was kind of dry, and the roast beef I had had barely any roast beef and I couldn't taste the horseradish. I think presentation was also ruined by adding another piece of bread on top, which also threw off the balance between bread and filling. The scones were very good, I really liked the orange scones. The cakes we had on top (tiramisu, panna cotta, lemon pie) weren't all too impressive. The tiramisu had a nice strong coffee flavour but there wasn't a good balance between ingredients in my opinion as we had to dig through a thick layer of mascarpone creme. However, I loved the presentation of the tiramisu. Panna cotta wasn't anything special. Overall, a decent experience, but I wouldn't come back as there's an imbalance between the price and the quality.
We celebrated my father's birthday here during our London visit. After arriving, we were told that the afternoon tea slot is 2h and we must leave before that. It took 45 mins after arriving to get starters to the table. That left 1h for the actual tea moment with desserts & sandwiches. Service was ok. Polite, but.a bit slow. Took a long time to take our orders, also nobody bothered to check how everything was going or how the food was. Food had ups and downs. Desserts were the best part of the experience, great quality. Sandwiches the weakest, bland and not very good. Unfortunately the chicken starter was inedible, it would have required a chainsaw to cut (probably had been deepfried too long). Some mistake there. My father had the same issue. We mentioned to the waiter about it, but they didnt offer to bring a new one. The location & room is beautiful! With desserts only the food would have been 4.5/5
We booked through OpenTable and I can't say I'd go back. I've been to a lot of afternoon teas and this is by far the worse. The sandwiches were hard, the desserts quite sickly and the scones were tasteless. The jams for the scones were watery. The only things we liked was the tea and the starters. We had ordered the prosecco package when booking and our rather rude waiter tried to convince us it was complementary, despite that fact we'd be paying for it at the end. To add to that, he started making jokes at the expense of my friend, indicating that she was rather 'slow' as she was deciding on her food choices. The serving staff were friendly though. I think there are far better afternoon teas in London with better food and atmosphere. It was a shame as I booked this for a friend's birthday. Give this one a miss and don't make my mistake.
Not an authentic afternoon tea experience. If you are visiting England/ UK, and looking to try out afternoon tea, please please avoid this place. This is not correct afternoon tea. Its not necessarily terrible. It’s just not afternoon tea. -You only get to pick 2x savoury items and 2x items from the sweet section. That’s all. In a correct afternoon tea experience, if there are 4x kinds of sandwiches on the menu, you will be served all 4 of them. Also, there are definitely more than 2x savoury items in any other afternoon tea places. -They don’t give you any seconds/ refills. A standard for any afternoon tea is they come back and offer more sandwiches and cakes. -Instead of normal sandwiches, their savoury section consists mostly of general starter foods (fried courgettes, bruschetta, Caesar salad etc) -They had no plain scone. They had scones with sultana and scones with chestnut, and scones with orange. Plain scone was not even on the menu. And again, you had to select two kinds of scones from the menu. -One actual ‘sandwich’ I had, cucumber with cream cheese, was very dry. The bread was dry. The variety of food you get to choose was disappointing. 2x items from savoury and sweet means that you only get to taste one kind of cake apart from a (let’s face it) mandatory scone. The overall quantity of food was disappointing. The quality of the food was also disappointing. The one real ‘sandwich’ I had was very dry as I mentioned above. The other starter I had, fried courgettes was fine. I had some sense of closure when, upon leaving the hotel, I saw an Italian restaurant on the ground floor. I looked at their menu and found a good number of the same items offered in the ‘afternoon tea’ dining area upstairs. They essentially serve the same food from the same kitchen and package them differently upstairs. Operationally, it makes sense. It makes an efficient production line. But to call this ‘afternoon tea’ is a massive stretch. Essentially, this ‘afternoon tea’ area is an afterthought to the existing Italian restaurant downstairs.
Wouldn't recommend anyone to go here, we had terrible service and the food was not nice enough to make up for it! It took 40 minutes to be given a pot of tea, and we had to ask for replacement scones because ours were under cooked when we cut in! The jam was also way too watery/runny. Definitely better venues for afternoon tea in London, especially if you're after a nice experience. Edit: I forgot to mention that my tea was served in a cup and saucer with chips in it, and didn't match the tea pot! For an experience like this little details are important.
I am honestly very confused about the good reviews on this place. Maybe we just went on a bad day. It took 30 min for them to take our order, and we started eating 2h after arriving. By that time, our tea was freezing cold, but no one bothered to offer us new tea. The starters and the scones were OK, but the sandwiches and the cakes were awful. The table next to us left without eating them either. What they call panacotta was a very bitter mousse, the sandwiches were stale and tasteless. Our afternoon tea looked nothing like the pictures posted on Google by other customers. They told us 1h after we ordered that some items were sold out. We left after 3h and paid £38 for one of the worst afternoon teas I ever had. Definitely do not recommend and would never go back.
