Highly recommended. Food and wine was interesting, tasty and high quality. We had a table for 16+ and really enjoyed the afternoon. Thank you.

The food and service in here are fantastic! Everything tastes delicious and the dining area is absolutely beautiful. The prices are very reasonable and you are so well taken care of. It’s a little bit off the main path, but it’s totally worth it to make the trip!

Looking for a peaceful Sunday drink? This is your place! It's incredibly quiet with a wonderfully chill atmosphere, and everything is sparkling clean. Perfect!

What a fabulous restaurant. Beautiful building, fantastic food and great friendly service..... Thoroughly recommended, tried the Hommos Beiruty, for a mild kick. Then the Lentil Soup with crispy Lebanese bread topping and fresh lemon juice 😋 The Batata Hara and fried vegetables was lovely and all these came as generous portions... The Maroush Mixed Grills was divine, with perfectly cooked meats and bread with vegetables plus the usual table dishes to share too.... yummo Plenty of table water and the Lemon Juice drink was delicious..... finished with a coffee and some baklava Definitely put this on your "must visit" list

This stunning restaurant not only has beautiful interiors but serves up some of the most delicious Lebanese food. We started with their creamy, smooth hummus and refreshing tabbouleh, packed with fresh parsley, tomatoes, onion and bulgur. The falafel and batata hara (spicy potato cubes) were tasty, while the halloumi had the perfect smoky flavour, paired with fresh veggies. For salads, the fattoush with its crispy Lebanese bread, sumac, and pomegranate molasses hit all the right notes. For mains, we savoured an aubergine and chickpeas casserole with rice. And for dessert we indulged in their signature knafeh (that delightful cheese with vermicelli) alongside baklava and a comforting rice pudding, all finished off with a refreshing cup of mint tea. Highly recommend this spot for any Lebanese food lover!

It is delish... a friend took me there.... The baba ganoush, the wings, even the simple salad. They give, I think what is baklava at the end if the meal... so good... not too sweet...

I love Lebanese food, so I‘ve eaten at quite a number of Lebanese restaurants around the UK. This place is so far among my top favorites. Absolutely delicious food, friendly service in a unique pub setting. There‘s also a lovely outdoor sitting area. All food was fresh, flavorful and served in quite big portions! There’s been plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, which were thoughtfully indicated on the menu. Will definitely come back here again.

What a beautiful hidden gem! The food was absolutely amazing, very generous portions with so much flavour and quality. The place itself is so beautifully decorated, the terrace is so lovely and the inside is AMAZING. The owner/manager (not too sure which he was), he was so accommodating, welcoming and friendly. I would hands down come back here again...

What a fabulous experience. Food is always delicious. The food is consistently good and I highly recommend it. I recommend, the hummus - it's the best I have ever tried, the fatoush salad, shish taouk and mixed grill. And you must have the chefs red sauce. It's delicious ...

Yum! Stumbled upon this gem doing a walk along Regent's canal. Delicious food, wine and good service. Get the tabbouleh, hummus, babaganosh, mixed grill - lamb chops and chicken are sooooo good.

I highly recommend Crocker’s Folly. They have a wonderful atmosphere, amazing decoration, great food, personalised service. Crocker’s Folly is great for lunch and dinner. Couples or Family’s. They have a wonderful bar. Great for big corporate events lunch or dinner. They can also give you a section of the restaurant for a private event event birthdays.

Food menu is simple, but really well made. We went for a three course meal. The roast menu offers lamb, chicken, pork and beef option. We went for lamb, which was well presented and delicious! Service is impeccable. Beautiful venue, with ornated ceilings, chandeliers, and marble chimneys.

Excellent Lebanese fare in a most interesting, restored Victorian hotel. Perfect atmosphere for a nice dinner, prompt service, well lit. A bit pricey, but the food was excellent. Try the wings as an appetizer.

Such a beautiful setting for an authentic Lebanese meal! The food was so tasty and the service was so welcoming and friendly throughout. The baked cod was cooked to perfection and the mixed grill was so succulent along with the tasty homemade dips and hummus. They even treated us to ice cream on the house! Thank you for a lovely dinner experience.

The most beautiful pub in London, I think ;) it is like stepping back in time, the service was excellent and the food was lovely - what you would expect from Maroush! Thank you!

It is a beautiful building, originally a folly with spacious dining and drinking areas. Food is Lebanese - nice fresh, quality ingredients and a good wine list. Service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely visit again. The pub is close to the Lords cricket club, so this may become our pre or post match venue.

The best Lebanese place to eat high quality, fresh, versatile, imaginative, beautiful dishes with wonderful staff . Set in an opulent setting. Marble decor and rose tinted chandeliers. Superb Lebanese wine. This place can cater for any scenario . Recommend calling to book but if you get lucky you can walk in and have a wonderful surprise. Great for family, friends and ding forget to try the milk pudding. One of the few places to serve a platter of fresh fruit at the end of a meal . Don’t miss it.

Outstanding. Extended family meal, for a birthday celebration. A fantastic room, beautiful building, and a huge round table made us feel very special. The service was superb, just the right amount of attention without being overbearing, and everyone was lovely. The food really hit the spot - a selection of sharing plates, some mains, all really well prepared and presented, delicious. The price for what we had was very reasonable too. We all had a lovely evening, and this place was really the key to it. Can't recommend highly enough.

I had a fantastic meal here yesterday. It was a birthday celebration for almost 30 people. Chadi was fantastic in helping to organise the food order and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. The staff were very attentive and the cost is great value for money. I thoroughly recommend having a meal here in a relaxed atmosphere and staff who go out of there way to please you.

Wonderful Lebanese food and an enjoyable experience with typical family friendly hospitality. My entire family enjoyed the experience and there was something for everyone.

We had a wonderful experience thanks to the warm hospitality of the team. The middle room was beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere for our evening. It worked equally well for mingling, standing conversations, a group activity, and enjoying a seated meal. The food was exceptional. The variety and creativity of the dishes truly stood out, and everything was both delicious and memorable. We also appreciated the extra care taken to provide thoughtful vegetarian options. Thank you for helping make our event such a positive and enjoyable occasion. Highly recommended.

What a fabulous gem. It’s so good 😊 I almost don’t want to tell anyone about it as I always want a table free. The staff here are not only warm and welcoming but they offer a five star waiting service. The food is incredible and you can a have a freshly grilled fish here for a fraction of the price you would get in a Michelin restaurant with all the taste. There are plenty of vegan, vegetarian and fish options and there is a level access toilet. The sauces that go with the food rocket your senses - we had the fish of the day with a coriander, garlic and extra virgin olive oil dip - you could tell everything was freshly made. The restaurant decor and is stunning with marble and chandeliers. I recommend pre booking and also let them know where you want to sit as there are three sections, all with a slightly different atmosphere and vibe. I am hooked. This s so good I want to live here 🙂. The best Lebanese food in the UK!

The place (environment and ambience) is really nice. Big indoor seating area and a nice outdoor garden. Beautiful to sit outside on a sunny day. However, i don't know if it's because the evening i came they had a big party inside a private room, so basically almost there was no service. I waited for 15 min and had to go inside to signal the waiter to order. And then when the dish came, i wanted to ask for a wedge of lemon, the waiter had already turned away. I had to walk inside to get some help. Originally i wanted to have dessert or coffee but thinking of how much time to order and to get the bill, i gave up. Food was relatively ok. The chicken soup was tasty but the shawarma chicken was on the dry side and when it came, it's not even warm. Maybe I'll give it a try next time if i pass by. But what a shame it has a beautiful setting, just lack service.

Grand grade-II listed gastropub with beautiful Victorian style interiors, a handsome bar, restaurant, outside terrace and event space. Great for receptions, large parties and has an annually changing menu. Highly recommended.

A bit hidden but overall great. A part of the Maroush group, great middle eastern food. Place got a great Victorian design inside. A lot of great options on the menu, good service, only comment I got is that it's a bit pricey compared to nearby places, but still worth a visit for the inside decor and great food - the Kibeh is a must, great ratio between the filling and the cover, so good

K

Beautiful gastropub. Exterior of a posh clubhouse (outdoor terrace seating) and the interior of a luxurious drawing room. Starters and desserts are better than mains. Service is really good.

A few weeks back, I was invited to Crocker’s Folly to experience their traditional Lebanese style dining. Upon entering, I was amazed at the beautiful chandeliers, wooden paneling, and gold-coated interior; it was truly a beautiful sight. Opened in the mid-1890’s Frank Crocker originally decided to turn the building into a hotel. However, despite being a true entrepreneur, this venture did not come to be as fruitful as Crocker anticipated, which later lead to Crocker’s demise, hence the restaurant being called Crocker’s Folly. In 2004, the restaurant was acquired by the Maroush group and was reinvented as Crocker’s Folly, which they are sure Mr. Crocker would be proud! Traditional Maroush Hummus The menu had such variety that initially I was spoilt for choice, however, the headwaiter suggested a mixture of dishes to try. For starters, I opted for the traditional Maroush hummus. There was no way; I was about to enter a Lebanese restaurant without trying their traditional Hummus! Which is made of chickpea puree, sesame paste, and lemon juice, and is served with freshly baked warm pitta bread. King prawns Next to be served were the king prawns; pan king prawns topped with pine nuts and chilli. The prawns are thoroughly marinated and seasoned well, as the flavour can be tasted throughout the prawns. A great tip, I would suggest is squeezing the lemon all over the prawns for an added burst of flavour. Bastorma Carpaccio with rocket I am a huge fan of Carpaccio of any kind, therefore when the beef Carpaccio was presented I did feel like all my dreams had come true and were in heaven, especially as it so aesthetically pleasing. The Carpaccio is thinly sliced Bastorma smoked beef fillet, which is marinated with special spices and served with rocket and fresh olive oil. Once again, Folly did not disappoint with the flavour, this is every Carpaccio addict’s dream as the special spices liven the beef with flavour. The texture of the beef is chewy but soft, and despite being with a guest, and this dish is best shared, I decided to have the Carpaccio to myself. I would say it is a must try dish from the menu as it is quite filling and it was my favourite. Halloumi Meshwi Due to my allergies, I could not eat the grilled Halloumi cheese, however, my guest did try the Halloumi and said it was better than Nandos, and everyone loves Nandos Halloumi cheese. All jokes aside, she described the cheese as soft and dewy but with a rubber texture, well seasoned with a hint of spice. Jawaneh One thing I, of course, can eat is chicken wings, so I was here for the Jawaneh, which are charcoal grilled marinated wings served with garlic sauce. As the wings are a bit on the spicy side, the garlic sauce is perfect, as it aids in giving the wings a more savoury/sour taste. However, I will add that the wings do not taste charcoal grilled and the portion is quite small, so it is better to get this dish for one rather than to share. As usual, I ended up being a greedy diner and eating the majority of the wings! Soujok As if there were not enough options already, Soujok was finally brought to the table, which are homemade Lebanese spicy sausages, sautéed in tomato sauce. Squeezing a lemon over the Soujok, allowing the lemon juice to drizzle over the sausages and entwine with the tomato sauce is my tip to you. The lemon juice aids in bringing out the flavours, as this dish is full of flavour. The sausages are a little harder than usual but overall this is a must-have dish! Fruit platter Finally, to clean my palette was a plate of fruit, serving all my favourites, Watermelon, Kiwi, Pineapple, Melon, and Strawberries. As a lot of spices and flavours were ingested the fruit aided in neutralising my stomach. Overall, the food was great and positively full of flavour. I loved that Folly’s serve traditional Lebanese food, as it is one of my favourite cuisines, alongside Nigerian and Japanese. The staffs are also Lebanese, which is appreciated, as the staff had vast knowledge of the culture and cuisine in depth, and were able to talk through the dishes.

Found this place whilst walking to Little Venice with friends over the August 2019 Bank Holiday weekend. As others have said, the decor is absolutely breathtaking! It was late afternoon and we only wanted some drinks on the terrace but the lovely staff were eager to show us around the interior; clearly very proud of where they work! The terrace was an oasis of tranquility. We went for the Lebanese wines - a bottle of white and another of rosé - both really good. Service was lovely too. Not cheap but I don’t mind paying for quality. I will return to eat here sometime - the dining areas look gorgeous!

Had a very nice lamb shank in here. Glorious building inside, shame it wasn't busier. Perhaps too much choice on the menu? I'd prefer to give it 9/10 than 4/5, but it isn't quite 5/5. Very worth going to though. All the family were impressed - my mother's first time with Lebanese food and it won't be the last.

R
Robert Chohan

A beautifully renovated building, with grand chandeliers and dining rooms. We went for the creative cocktails, and while I've had noticeably better for the same price, they were quite nice. Poor selection of ales.

Amazing decor and history of Crokers Folly location in St Johns Wood. Big menu of Lebanese dishes. Good portion sizes and well cooked lamb and chicken dishes.

Nice restaurant in St. John's Wood. Good service, food was cooked well and served promptly. Maybe Covid related but the place lacked an atmosphere. I could see it is a large place and when full to capacity, it must be a wonderful place but nevertheless it was an enjoyable experience.

J
Jackie

We had booked a table for Saturday evening. You needn’t bother, the restaurant was only about 20% at capacity. I think that really is a sign in itself. Nice interior in the main dining area. Food was average, I found the bread a bit undercooked and tasted of flour. Mains didn’t come together, 20 minute wait which they didn’t explain so first two mains went cold. The Lebanese house red was pleasant. Toilets are in the basement. Clean but toilet paper not replaced so it appears they don’t check them. I wouldn’t recommend.

M

Came here with my family on a Sunday. Food quality is good and no fault on actual service however, the whole experience of actually eating out was ruined by being served plastic plates and cutlery. When the “owner” is sitting across with real plates and glasses with food served on the actual dishes. The food took far too long and the wine selection was not great unfortunately. The manager seemed to think it was unreasonable for us to expect to not have food placed on our table in plastic containers. If every restaurant was following your procedures then fine but none of them are, how you are not able to see this as ridiculous is baffling.

A
Amelia E

The food was decent, but the service was bad. There's no front of house staff so it took us 10 minutes to even get seated, tables were not cleaned after the previous guests left so we couldn't sit there. Then it took another 10 minutes to get our menus! We were also sad to hear that they had no shawarma. Being a Lebanese restaurant, you'd think they have such a popular dish. The food was decent, and the mixed grill meat was cooked well and juicy so no complaints there, aside from the fact that it's a little on the pricey side. However, the poor, slow and inattentive service really affected our experience.

T
Thundercat A

Went for a dinner reunion with friends. The venue is quite impressive built inside a grand old pub although it was rather empty on a Thursday night. We didn't care as it was a large group. The food was disappointing. The table ordered some cold starters which were quite nice but quite standard fare. For the main I ordered a chicken Shawarma which was dry dry dry. Tasted like it was made and cut some hours ago and dumped on the plate on some bread. At £22 it was a bit of a joke. Chilli and garlic sauces were average. We also ordered a side of chips and they were also really poor! So overall pretty poor experience with the food. Others have grills which looked better but can't speak for them. A local Lebanese cafe I go to is better than this place at a fraction of the price.

Salads were fresh the rest was ok.Certain items on the menu are only available via delivery. It’s quite pricey considering how terrible the service it. Absolutely zero customer service.and very rude. Not a business I would support again given how they treat their customers.

J
Just A Typical Dreamer JATD

While the venue itself was nice and the interior was well done, the overall experience was disappointing. From the outside, the restaurant actually looked closed, which was confusing on arrival. The service was bare minimum at best, we were left waiting for long periods of time with little attention, despite the restaurant not being busy. We even had to ask two different waiters for the same thing because the first had forgotten. Another reason we booked was because live music was advertised, however there was no live music at all. On top of that, the amount of food served was only enough for four people, not six as charged, and we were overcharged overall. Considering the price paid and the experience received, it definitely wasn’t worth it.

R
Ridhi Soni

Extremely rude server, treated us less like customers and more like a bother for him. He made no attempts to be helpful in any account, even going so far as to say “can’t you just do a bank transfer to each other” when we asked to split the bill. 0 stars for service. Such a shame as the restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance - impossible to enjoy when you’re made to feel so unwelcome though
