This is a 5 star review because the service and the food is fantastic. Really impressed on that front. However, if you go here just know that the portions (even for large plates) are not that big. You can see the beef large plate, with the olive for scale. As long as you know that going in, you will really enjoy this excellent restaurant.
Fave restaurant in East Dul for dinner. Such a lovely relaxed vibe and the food is delightful! Real French bistro classics. Could do with adding some natural wines to the menu!
Tasty food and wine! Friendly staffs! Lovely atmosphere!
Great Sunday special selection of wines at retail price. A lot to explore. Friendly and attentive service.
Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, lovely wine & very tasty dishes. Merci!
love this place and very family friendly
Third visit in as many months. Very good food and service. Highly recommended.
Great food. Good wine. Simple!
Staff are always friendly and the food is always good. One of my favourites in the area.
Amazing french eatery with a lovely grocery of goodies! Try the orange wine, you won’t regret it!
Great food (recommend the anchovies), welcoming staff and very safe Covid measures
Amazing wine, amazing food, amazing service what more is there to ask for?
Lovely weekend brunch menu, the blueberry pancakes were amazing.
Generally fantastic. I've been a few times and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, the food excellent and the wine even better. Top tips - order lots of their small, tapas style dishes to share rather than each ordering a main like you normally would. Don't miss the indulgent duck rillettes. Go on a Sunday afternoon as they often have a few wines on 50% mark down. We tried a £70 bottle we'd never normally get to try for £35. Speak to staff about the wine and ask their opinion, they have always steered us well and really know their stuff.
Brilliant - really enjoyed it here. Interesting and varied wine list, with some real gems to discover. Food was delicious and well priced, and to top things off, the team were lovely as well; friendly and professional, with excellent knowledge of what they're selling. Highly recommended!
We had a fabulous take away food from Terroirs East Dulwich. Great selection of dishes. Everything was delicious, particularily enjoyed the Culltelfish, Chorizo & Piquillo Pepper, The Lamb Shoulder, Endive and Hazelnut and The Cottage Pie. It was like bringing the restaurant experiance home! Complements to the chef. We will be back soon.
Nice food and atmosphere and a wonderful selection of natural wines. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always happy to share recommendations and information about the wines. I’ve discovered some producers that I’ve done back to time and again thanks to the discoveries I made in Terroirs.
Best pig belly I’ve had in a long time, star of a perfectly cooked & assembled dish. Delicious food, good choice of interesting wines, friendly service, relaxed vibe. Favourite local
The pre made meals takeaway boxes they have been doing during CV19 restrictions from the Bistro shop are a big hit in our household!. Great cooking, clear simple instructions inside packaging and very good value for the quality of food. So far from the ones we have tried Tartiflette, Cottage Pie (more like a beef bourguignon with piped mash) and Pork Stroganoff have been outstanding highlights. There are veggie options too, of course. The menu changes weekly. There are other great foods also in the shop but just loving those ready meals at moment!
Wonderful food, great wine and fab service. The anchovies, butter and sourdough changed my life! A real local treasure and I always come away with a new wine find. Thanks team Terroirs!
For Mothering Sunday we were gifted a roast chicken dinner and pudding as a takeaway from this restaurant and delivered by our son scott to our front door in meopham Kent. The whole meal was totally faultless, every single ingredient was of the highest quality with the most beautiful flavour you could imagine !! Well done to this establishment in east dulwich ( and of course to our son )
Personalised service, and great wine! Visited during 'truffle week' and the gnocchi was out of this world! A much cosier, intimate feel to the central London branch, which I enjoyed - I would go here for a date or small dinner, while the central Terroirs is great for loud meals with friends and a great drink at the bar. We ordered La Cave se rebiffe, Un Saumon dans la Loire - life changing!
Wow. The food here was so so good! We buy wine from here often but on our first visit to the restaurant we were not disappointed. The quiche was amazing!
Very enjoyable food - smaller dishes but seasonal and different. Good wine list including selection by the glass.
Fantastic place to come for a bit of something to eat. Really interesting, out of the ordinary menu for both food and wine. Highly recommend.
Such an excellent wine selection and amazing service. 5 stars for that alone, will update once we've had dinner there.
Relaxed yet intimate French restaurant with sharing plates and a great selection of wines by the glass to match. Friendly staff ready to recommend if you need guidance.
Never expected such a hyped, well awarded bar to feel so great, cozy, friendly and chill. Brilliant service from Monica. I definitely enjoyed.
Lively place. The Peckham Rye loaf of bread is a must. Not cheap at £4.50 but worth it. Browns coffee shop outside Brockley Station sells the same although coming from a different bakery. This review was supposed to be linked to Brick House, 1 Zenoria Street, East Dulwich, London, SE22 8HP.
Lovely bottle of the house red, and delicious nibbly bits and exquisite cheese selection. Great service and vibe too
Lovely place. Interesting wine list and the oysters and steak were especially good.
Really lovely food, nice atmosphere and good wine choice by the glass. Love it here.
Great French menu, service, dog friendly and wonderful deli next door with great Cheese 🧀 & wine 🍷selection.
Great to be back at Terroirs. A great selection of wines as always, and the charcuteríe is as good as ever. Try the Château Chalon!
All staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Very happy to recommend a bunch of wines based on your taste. Great prices to drink in and take home, I always leave knowing much more than when I went. The regular tasting events are brilliant value and a lot of fun. Whether you go for lunch, dinner or just drinks you're guaranteed to have a great time.
Delicious food and wine pairings. We had 5 courses and cheese before pudding. Staff gave us a tasting session of the pudding wines and grappa which was so friendly and never charged us for the drinks. Will definitely be back! The perfect place for a birthday or celebratory meal
Had excellent food amazing place nice ambience good wine accommodating
I have been to this wine bar previously a few times and always enjoyed their selection of organic wines. We ordered a carafe of Nicolas Reau and Cote Hill Blue with some bread. Only thing I realised afterwards is that a carafe is £2 more expensive than if you bought by the glass... Usually it works out the same or costs a bit cheaper so in the future I'd stick to ordering by the glass.
Cool vibe, went for brunch on Sunday and not too hectic. Food was fresh and tasty. Nice section and the decor was pleasing. Delivers without trying .
Lovely atmosphere with great staff. The lamb stew with creamy mash was YUM! Definitely on the cards for a second visit👌
Octopus salad was a bit disappointing, but everything else was really nice. They could do with more wines on the lower price range.
Went here for Sunday brunch. I found the menu to be lacking in options. I had the cheese omelette with a side portion of spinach. The omelette was tasty but the portion size was rather small. The service we received i cannot fault. There are better places in East Dulwich for brunch. I have a feeling this restaurant is probably better for evening meals than for breakfast/brunch.
Had a nice pot of mint tea! And my friend an Americano. But we had to buy ourselves a little treat to go with it elsewhere..as they don't do cakes and treats (shock.. horror!), so popped over to M&S further down the road for lemon cheesecake slices. However, they were good enough to pick up and keep my bag which I had forgotten at the 'barrel' tables on the pavement outside. Must be a great place for wine lovers, though, as the bar is well stocked with a good selection.
Food was okay, but a bit tasteless in all honesty. Lamb chops were lovely but came with a very boring lentil salad that had no substance or taste. Wine list is fairly extensive but over priced.
Hardly any vegan options, food was not good. Wine was ok.
This was my third trip to Terroirs and I won’t go back again. First time (after keeping us waiting for 20 minutes) they said they couldn’t do coffee because their grinder wasn’t working - I wondered why they couldn’t buy some decent ground coffee from the millions of shops along the high street? We left as brunch without coffee isn’t brunch and went to Tart instead, which was fabulous. The second time it was the emptiest place on Lordship Lane and just post-lockdown. The brunch menu was v limited which was fine, but they really struggled to be flexible and mix and match items on the menu as this might be difficult for the chef (?!). Eventually they worked it out and the food was pleasant, ‘though not stunning. The coffee was great! Third time was bank holiday Monday brunch. Last day of ‘eat out to help out’. The waitress seemed overwhelmed and confused. We perched on a wobbly stool by a barrel outside and then discovered that the brunch menu wasn’t on (only Saturday and Sunday - not bank holiday Mondays) and the main menu options were not what we wanted at 11:30am on a bank holiday. Sandwich choices were v limited and a little strange (imho) eg tuna and avocado croissant? When we gave up and said we’d just pay for our drinks and go, we were charged full price despite the ‘eat out to help out deal’. The waitress insisted it was only on food not drinks until I showed her the government website. Apparently they had excluded soft drinks from the offer throughout August. We left and went to a wonderful, friendly Italian restaurant just up the road and had a fabulous brunch. Wish we’d gone there in the first place and won’t be going back to Terroirs.
Disappointed....... this is a wonderful bistro, with excellent wine. There is a new short hot menu now, for dinner . Service was polite, but slow, and once the two onglet ( steak) and chips were ordered it took them 20 mins to get to us, from a quiet kitchen, while one of the chefs was sauntering around the bar. When it it arrived was very rare (we were not asked if we wanted it well done or medium) , and also only tepid. Chips were also without any brown colour.....i spoke to the lady manager who dismissed me, and then silently revoked the automatic service charge .... Disappointed.
We ordered 2 Tartiflette mains (£16 each) along with a kids gnocchi for our 2 year old. A very small starter Ramekin arrived with 4 bits of salad with a very basic mustard dressing. (It wasn’t a salad). The tartiflette wasn’t bad but not amazing. It was tiny ! We were planning on staying for more drinks and desert, we would have happily spent another £30-40 but by that point I was annoyed and didn’t want to spend more money there. I did gently bring this up with the manager and I was firstly told that reblochon is expensive! She did thank me for the feedback but I felt slightly blamed that reblochon is expensive. She did explain that the chef said reblochon is expensive and the visual size of the dish is a known problem yet they are still taking money for something that is a problem ? That has clearly been flagged before .... They did knock £8 from a £59 bill but I was still hungry after leaving. I was a chef in the alpes and have cooked enough tartiflette to know what a good portion size is and also how it should taste. Overall felt like I had wasted £50+ Which is a shame as there is potential there. But I will not be going back to eat after this experience.
2 small chicken drumsticks with some tomato sauce for £14, no bread offered either. Not impressed! Real shame as the wine they select is very good
Unfortunately did not meet expectations. Service without a smile. Ordered moules, majority were closed (inedible) expressed this but no apology or offer to rectify Therefore we would not return... very disappointing
