We went to Farzi for their Valentine’s special and had such a lovely evening! The food was incredible. The Tangra chicken and the seafood/lobster seekh kebab in particular were great. The cocktail pairing was also really thoughtful, loved the rose and date one. The staff were so sweet, and server Anjali made the whole experience great. The live music also gave the whole place such a nice vibe. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion!
Really impressed by the ‘pre-sales’ interaction from the team at Farzi as well as the dinner service itself. I needed a private area booking for up to 10 of us two weeks before Christmas and with only 7 days notice. Savio on the customer service team really helped me to sort out the date, time and area we needed for the evening. The meal itself was wonderful. The Butter Chicken Bao Buns, Lamb Kebab, Fish Gulzar and Beef Nihari being particular highlights. The reality though is that everything we ordered was excellent, great levels of flavour and heat throughout and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes. The great thing is that the dishes are all a little different to normal India cuisine which surprised all of us and left us wanting more. The service during the meal was superb, we were waited on by 2 or 3 different team members during the evening ensuring that we had great food regularly and that wine and water was topped up effortlessly and without any prompts or nagging from us. The surroundings in our private area as well as the decor of the restaurant are all beautifully colourful yet tasteful, and even at the start of the evening when our private area was a little chilly it was remedied immediately and we ended up being very comfortable. I can’t recommend Farzi enough, not just for the amazing food but the staff were brilliant throughout - it’s this that makes the difference. Every single one of our party commented on it and all came away with the same feeling: we will be back again.
We had the most wonderful experience at Farzi! The booking process was straightforward and once we arrived, we were shown to our lovely table straight away. Now the food- ABSOLUTELY incredible- in particular the starter options! We have never had anything like the chow mein bhel or the daal chawal arancini before, we have been recommending these 2 specifically to all our friends/family! They are the best items on the menu- well done Farzi!!! The mains were also delicious (CTM and lamb chops), the mocktails complemented our food well and I really enjoyed the Parle G cheesecake (though would suggest to crumble biscuit on the sides and then place a whole biscuit in middle!) The staff were all very polite and kind, super friendly throughout the meal- and gave us a nice card for our anniversary which was hand signed- a really thoughtful gesture! A very memorable dinner experience overall, with too quality food and staff- would definitely go again! Thanks Farzi team!!
Visited with a group of four and we were genuinely impressed. The drinks were brilliant, and the food was full of flavour with a great mix of modern and traditional touches. The atmosphere was lively, and the service was warm without being pushy. Overall, a great spot for a fun night out — we’ll definitely be back.
Dining at this place was a pleasant surprise — I didn’t expect it to be in a modern Indian format, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The ambiance had an elegant yet comfortable vibe, setting the tone for a great evening. The food presentation was brilliant and immediately caught our attention. The starters were not only beautifully plated but also bursting with flavor — every bite was delicious and distinct. I especially appreciated the variety on the menu, offering thoughtfully crafted options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Service was another highlight. Three attentive staff members constantly checked in to ensure everything was perfect, which made the experience feel personal and well-cared for. Overall, it’s a rare find — one that genuinely stunned everyone in my team.
To be honest I wasn’t expecting much coming into dinner at Farzi but the food and exceptional service by Anjali blew me away! Every dish had flavor and multiple options for Veg and Non-Veg eaters. I had the chicken lollipops (fried well) and the Beef Nihari (flavorful and hits you in the face with its spice and intensity). Anjali made the experience amazing, she deserves a raise! I’d be back.
We rode our luck for the second night running - Saturday night in central London and we rocked up without a reservation. My wife fancied a curry and we were in the area. From the start, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The chap at the front door assured us that we could get a table. As we weren’t too hungry, we just ordered a couple of dishes to share: Spicy cauliflower Chicken railway curry Saffron pilau rice Garlic naan To drink I had a mango cosmo and my wife had a Diet Coke. The service staff were excellent - efficient and friendly. Even though it was 8 pm on a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy, our food arrived quickly. All of it was delicious but the spicy cauliflower was the star of the show. The atmosphere was nice too. The only (minor) downside was that it is quite dark so you need the light from your phone to read the menu.
What an amazing experience from the variety of food down to the atmosphere. The staff were on point and made a special effort for my dad birthday which was a really nice touch. A special thanks to Niloy who was managing our table. The magician was amazing and so was the mehndi artist
I came here on the 19th Dec 2025, before I went to see Moulin Rouge. The reason I’ve rated everything 5 stars is because I had a great time and food was wonderful. Only issue was that the dumplings I had were very spicy than I expected. Very delicious and I love spicy food, even when I need to gulp a huge glass of ice water afterwards. Also the mango lassi helped cool me down. For the main I had a classic chicken curry with garlic naan which was flavourful and not too spicy. Really enjoyed my meal. The atmosphere is amazing and I went in good time before it got really busy. The only improvement I’d suggest is better lighting in the bathroom because when I had to go, I can barely see my way around lol. Beautiful vibes though. I am very likely to come here again.
If there was ever a place where Indian nostalgia meets London sass, it’s Farzi London. The kind of spot that feels like home — if home served cocktails in peacock glasses and appetisers that make you question your life choices (in the best way). The Bombay Chow Mein Bhel was pure chaos and crunch — like Mumbai traffic, but delicious. The Chicken Lollipop had that perfect spice kick, and the Lobster & Seafood Kebab was so indulgent, I might start celebrating random occasions just to justify ordering it again. Even the Rajasthani Tava Masala had that comforting, homely hug of spice that made me smile. And then the drinks — oh, Farzi knows its drama! The Kokum Margarita flirts, the Peacock Serve struts like it’s auditioning for a fashion week finale, and the Peg Lassi… now that’s a cheeky twist I didn’t see coming 😄. Impeccable food, playful presentation, and a vibe that’s both elegant and fun — Farzi London is modern Indian dining done your food fantasy way.
Excellent Sunday brunch with live stations and live music. Everything was well spiced and fresh. Standouts were the Thai red curry chicken tikka, papdi chaat, lamb, paneer labadar. Wide selection. And great attentive service from Anjali.
Had a lovely time, food is amazing especially the dhal chawal arincini! Service was wonderful and they were very busy. Staff were so friendly and I will definitely be coming back.
Every dish served here has amazing flavor, texture and aroma. This is a hidden gem at very popular part of the city. Highly recommend trying butter chicken bao(not in image) , panner and mushroom tikka , Chinese Bhel (not in pic) and parle G cheesecake.
We had perfect dinner at Farzi, not for the first time. The food is excellent and many gluten free and vegeterian options, clearly marked in allergen menu. Joel, our waitress was super helpful and minded our food restrictions throughout the evening. We especially liked spinach chaat, cauliflower and the palak paneer. The lassi options were great too! Thank you!
I've been here twice now, both times the food is fresh and spicy and creative Great cocktails Nice friendly staff Great location Really beautiful interior Highly recommend for modern Indian cuisine The sour cocktail is delicious Really great veggie options The cauliflower is the best!! Gorgeous restaurant, nice staff, delicious food, highly recommend
Farzi Café was a great experience — the atmosphere was lively, and the food was absolutely delicious. The bao burgers stood out the most, packed with flavour and perfectly cooked. Everything was well presented and tasted amazing. Definitely a place I’d recommend for anyone who enjoys creative and tasty dishes.
Thank you Niloy and the Farzi team for making our anniversary celebrations even more special! The food was great, the service impeccable, atmosphere and ambience lovely and our waiter Niloy was a delight! Definetly will be revisiting and recommend 10/10
We stopped by for couple of drinks and appetizers before the show. They were very nice to accommodate us quickly and made sure we were served fast. Just a lovely place with good food.
We had our wedding reception at Farzi Café after first visiting the restaurant and trying their food and we couldn’t have made a better choice. With just over 80 guests, we wanted everything to be perfect, and Savio, Vrajesh and the whole management team made sure it truly was. They understood exactly what needed to be done and kept everything running smoothly on the day. The food was absolutely outstanding even better than our tasting and the cocktails and mocktails were a whole new experience in themselves. Many of our guests are already planning to come back because they loved the food so much! Farzi Café is not only incredible for dinner but also an amazing venue for events. They were so accommodating and took care of all our requests. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for both exceptional food and impeccable service.
Just stopped by the bar for a drink after walking around all day and shopping at Selfridges. Cider was delicious and refreshing. The restaurant smelled so good, indian spices, but we had just eaten lunch earlier so we didn't try the food this day. It was around 4-5 pm and was quiet enough to talk.
Lovely experience, amazing take on Indian food especially with the vegetarian options. Thank you for offering a vegetarian meal that is well crafted. Celebrated my birthday here and they got my dessert out with sparklers and a handwritten card signed by the team on shift. ❤️Rashi was a sweetheart taking care of us for the evening.
Came here with some friends for the Ramadan Iftar set menu and it was a lovely experience! The rooh afza was really refreshing to start with after a whole day of fasting. We weren’t really a fan of the chai lychee drink but the jasmine & peach blossom drink was lovely. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection- really soft and just fell off the bone. We were a bit hesitant about the peanut salan but it was actually really delicious! We were also given daal and raita on the side which complimented the mandi biryani really well. The Papdi chaat wasn’t really anything special, was mostly just bland potato but the rest of the meal made up for it. The music can be very loud in there and sometimes it was hard to hear myself think let alone hear what the rest of the table was saying! Service was a bit slow but understandable as it was a VERY busy time and everyone comes for iftar at the same time. Our waiter Pranav was brilliant. He checked in on us multiple times and made sure we were well looked after.
Farzi Café continues to remain one of my absolute favourite Indian restaurants in London, and their Summer Menu is nothing short of spectacular! My family and I recently visited and were absolutely blown away by the creativity, bold flavours, and thoughtful presentation across the dishes. It’s clear that Chef Nikhil Mahale and his team take immense pride in crafting a dining experience that is both comforting and elevated. Here’s a breakdown of what we enjoyed: Gupta Ji’s Dahi Bhalla Tokri Chaat – A delightful start! The soft lentil balls soaked in sweet yoghurt were perfectly balanced with the tangy tamarind chutney and crunchy tortilla basket. The chaat masala and Delhi mix added a nostalgic kick. A must-try! Chicken Lollipop (Sriracha & Honey Mayo) – These crispy chicken wings were a hit! The chosen sriracha & honey mayo brought a perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Chicken Dumplings – Pan-fried and tossed in a fiery Indo-Chinese sauce, this dish packs a serious punch. The extra spiciness elevated the experience – we loved every bite. Murg Malai Tikka – This tandoori smoked chicken tikka was melt-in-the-mouth tender. But the real game changer? That creamy, spiced cheese fondue. It’s rich, indulgent, and essential to the dish. We couldn’t get enough. Peepli Lamb Paarcha Kebab – Sliced lamb rump marinated in fennel and black pepper, then smoked with rose petals. The result? Fragrant, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. An absolute standout. Cornish Crab & Red Prawn Shammi Kebab – A sophisticated take on the classic shammi. The texture was spot on, and the crab mousse was simply divine. One of the more unique dishes we tried, and definitely a favourite. Wagyu Beef Kadak Seekh Kebab – Served with a blue corn taco and chilli crème, this dish was good but didn’t wow us like the others. Still enjoyable, just a touch underwhelming compared to the rest. Lamb Burra Chop Sizzler – Our all-time favourite, and for good reason! These Welsh lamb chops are incredibly tender, with a punchy marinade, crispy garlic and roasted cashews. Served with masala wedges and pickled chilli, it’s a full-on flavour bomb that never disappoints. Butter Chicken Bao – Another staple we can’t leave without ordering. Creamy, rich Punjabi butter chicken in a fluffy bao with green chilli mayo, so addictive. Mango Mastani – The perfect ending to our summer feast. This Indian sundae was bursting with freshness – alphonso mango curd, malai kulfi, fruits, ice cream, nuts and tutti frutti. Light, fruity, and beautifully balanced. The service from Sunny and the team was once again outstanding, warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They truly enhanced our experience. In a city full of Indian restaurants, Farzi Café stands out for its bold approach to modern Indian dining, while still honouring traditional roots. Can’t wait to come back again, there’s always something new and delicious to try! Thank you, Chef Nikhil, Sunny, and the entire Farzi team for a memorable evening!
We came here for dinner after a Saturday matinee at His Majesty’s Theatre opposite. We had not made a reservation but we were lucky to find a table. The food was delicious!
Had a lovely evening celebrating my sister’s birthday dinner. The staff were very patient, kind and accommodating. Great food and atmosphere! Thank you
We went for a wedding anniversary dinner. The staff were super friendly and charming from the beginning to the end. The portions were very good sized and all of them tasted great. We couldn’t fault anything. The server also gave us an anniversary card signed by the restaurant staff which was a sweet touch. An outstanding experience from start to finish on our special day. Definitely will be back!
Ordered the tiffin lunch and it was exactly what I needed today! The quality, taste, variety and overall aesthetic was 10/10 This is my 4th order in the last 3 weeks, would have been more if I wasn’t wfh 😅 Look how gorgeous this is! Guys,‘I’ll be back!
Overall, was a wonderful dinner experience. We did the Taste of Farzi meal with a small bite to start, 3 starters, and a main course. Everything was delicious and came out well timed. Pranav was a great server - very attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed and that the food was prepared well. The restaurant itself is modern and trendy with low mood lighting that sets the tables in a warm glow. The jazz music in the background adds to the warm atmosphere and lively conversations. Definitely recommend making a stop!
We held our team Christmas party here last night and it was spectacular! The communication on the lead up with Savio was brilliant, he was extremely accommodating to our needs. When i arrived to set up it was beautiful and a very magical vibe for our event with lovely little touches. the Drinks were great! the food was delicious and i had nothing by raving reviews from my team. Thank you!!
Great place, awesome food & amazing management hats off to organise the amazing valentines experience. We met Savio and his team and will highly recommend anyone. P.S the live music was amazing which kept us going with drinks! 😊
A totally unexpected and wonderful restaurant. The maitre’d took so much trouble to ensure the very tasty starter and main were to our taste - they were truly delicious and without the need to overheat either of us. Superb food, well flavoured but certainly not too spicy. Then, the staff came with a special candle for my birthday AND took a picture which they then presented to me in a birthday card - which I’d only mentioned once in passing. A truly wonderful pre-theatre meal. Thank you.
We came here for Valentine’s Day, initially there was a little wait and the restaraunt looked packed so we were unsure what the food on their set menu was going to be like! We went for the 3 course vegetarian menu and having eaten at several amazing restaurants in both the UK and India including Farzi Cafe in India several times - the food here did not disappoint! The paneer was so soft and flavoursome and all the dishes were cooked to perfection :) The drinks were also amazing and my Masala Chaas was the best Lassi I have ever had! Me and my husband will definitely be coming again :) Special shout out to our server Niloy who was great as well as Ashi, Rajesh and the rest of the team 😊 The live music made things extra special so thanks again for a wonderful evening :) Shyam & Kriti
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and made with fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again!
We really enjoyed dinner here pre-theatre. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful (thank you Pranav), and the menu was an interesting (and thankfully shorter than usual) range of tasty dishes. We unfortunately ignored Pranav's helpful advice on portion sizes and over ordered. The small plates for sharing are probably for two people, as are the mains. I had a tasty and tender lamb shank, mildly spiced but flavourful. Spicy cauliflower was delicious, and the pilau rice, peshwari naan and daal all had subtle and tasty twists on standard Indian menus. They had a very nice range of Indian inspired cocktails and cocktails, and the interior design and atmosphere gave a warm and intimate feel to the place.
We recieved a warm welcome. Service was prompt but not too prompt, and really friendly! We had Pranav looking after us, he made a few recommendations and was attentive. We had a couple of starters and mains with some sides. The 'arancini' was delicious! And the mixed veg curry and palak paneer were really tasty.
The food was elevated. Amount of food wasn't stingy. Service was excellent. The naan was really nice. Some dishes have a certain level of spectacle. Very Instagrammable. Ask for how much spice and heat the dishes have because some are really hot. It is pricey and well deserved. Our server was Pranav, he explained the menu for us and answered our questions expertly.
Atmosphere was nice and the service was good too. I went for the pre-theatre meal which was cheap, the only fault would be the lack of meat in the mains (3 piece of chicken in the chicken railway and 2 ball pieces in the fish curry). There was plenty bread and rice to mop up the sauce and the daal to share was good too.
Went there on my birthday.. ordered theatre menu(paneer, chicken malai starters, chicken railway curry, rice, dal makhani, fish kofta). Drink lichi chay( tasted too sweet!). Everything was good. Felt they could give a desert option within the pre-set menu price . Overall it’s bit pricey but worth visiting as their food is great as well as the ambiance. Service was also nice.
Visited Farzi Café near Piccadilly Circus and overall had a very good experience. The chicken tikka masala in the main course was outstanding — perfectly spicy, full of flavour, and easily the highlight of the meal. For starters, the bhel and chicken dumplings were good and enjoyable. The daal was decent and went well with the bread basket. In drinks, the mojito and chai coconut mocktail were both very nice and refreshing. However, the jasmine and mayo cooler was honestly a disaster — the flavour combination did not work at all. I would strongly recommend either improving it or removing it from the menu. Overall, it was a good dining experience with great food and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely come back again, especially with a group. Highly recommended for Indian food near Piccadilly Circus.
Went to Farzi for a simple Indian dinner — it’s a lovely spot, relaxed but still feels a bit special. The food was great, definitely good enough to make me want to come back. Only small downside was the portion size, the sizzler chicken main felt a bit small for the price (basically half a chicken with some onions). The highlight, though, was the dessert, the chai cheesecake was genuinely amazing, a clever twist on a classic and totally worth the calories.
Food and service were nice. The drinks were much better! Lovely creative flavours. There wasn't anything that stood out really, it was a lovely Indian restaurant serving good Indian food. If that's what you're after then it's a comfortable option. It missed the Wow Feeling at this brilliant location. Might go back if I'm looking for comfort food.
We visited for drinks and some starters (we weren’t very hungry) just after work. The staff were friendly and helped us order the right range and amount of sharing plates. We would visit again.
This Indian restaurant was a decent place to eat and I attended the Sunday buffet they offer. I really liked the decor and lighting. The staff were friendly and helpful too. I really think that the buffet layout which they have should be maybe reorganised, so that the mains are close to the starters and then maybe have the desserts separate. The reason I say this is that it wasn’t too great going up and down the stairs to refill the food on our plates. Also the live service for the pani puri’s should really be quicker as there was always a queue there every time me and my partner tried to get more! The live singing was okay but definitely wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, however the actual karak tea they have, was amazing! Food does not really have the wow factor. They could definitely improve on the recipes. However I must add: the smokey chicken in the starters, the lamb curry in the mains and the spicy omelette served live, were the best things they serve here. Might be visiting again, will have to see!
We booked the thali menu and overall had a decent experience, though a few things stood out. The first surprise was that naan and rice weren’t both included — it was one or the other. With a thali, you usually expect both, so that felt a bit unexpected. The papad was slightly soggy rather than crisp, which was disappointing. The curries were okay, fairly average. On the positive side, the service was good.. smooth throughout the meal. The location is fantastic, right opposite His Majesty’s Theatre, making it a very convenient and perfect spot for a pre-theatre meal.
I was curious to try this place, as their Canadian location wasn’t very successful and short lived, so I wanted to experience it for myself. Overall, the ambiance, service, promptness of food and attention to detail was very good. The quality of the food was generally good also. The following dishes were ordered: Chicken Tikka Masala - Great taste, however, I was very surprised that the pieces were thigh/leg not tandoor oven cooked breast, which is the classic style. There was no mention of this on the menu or by the server. Also, the portion size was on the smaller side. Saag Paneer - Great taste, portion was also on the smaller side. Naan & Paratha Selection - Generally ok, but we would’ve preferred just one naan each, however, the server advised to get this instead since the bread portion sizes are very small. This, in itself, wouldn’t have been an issue had the prices reflected the smaller portion sizes, but they didn’t. Note: they include a tip/service charge in the bill total in the 13-15% range (approx). So, overall not bad but there’s plenty of room for improvement.
We came here for the Valentine’s Day set menu. The food and service were lovely. However, while we were leaving and I was trying to put my coat on, one of the staff members came and ask if we got the tickets for the private/after party that was happening—We were no where near the dance floor- when my husband told him no and that we were leaving, he rudely said “leave then” this made us feel very uncomfortable after the great service we received before. When we confronted him, He was unapologetic about his rudeness and nonchalantly walked off. This is the reason for the lower rating. However the service of the waiters was amazing and we enjoyed the food and the cocktails.
Yesterday 2nd Feb 2025 , we visited Faraz Restaurant in Haymarket, Piccadilly, having booked via First Table. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, and the overall ambience of the restaurant was good—comfortable and well presented. While the restaurant classifies itself as an Indian restaurant, based on our experience, the cuisine felt more closely aligned with Bangladeshi-style cooking. Coming from an Indian background myself, I have a clear understanding of the quality and preparation typically expected from an Indian restaurant. The dishes we ordered were small plates intended for sharing. Although the flavours were acceptable, it was evident that the food had been pre-cooked in advance and reheated at the time of service, rather than freshly prepared. This impacted the overall quality and authenticity of the dining experience. The pricing was slightly on the higher side per dish, particularly considering the portion sizes and preparation method. Overall, I would rate the food 4.5 out of 10, while the ambience and service were positives. In summary, Faraz offers a pleasant setting and courteous service, but the food quality and value for money did not fully meet expectations for an Indian dining experience.
I had very high expectations from this restaurant. The food was below average. Dim sums had no flavour with very less stuffing. Lamb parcha portion was too small. Chicken lollipop tasted good but had food colour inside which made my fingers red. Butter chicken bao had no flavour at all.
Utterly disappointed by the appalling service, should you have a opinion or complaint keep it to yourself as they don't care. Ordered several things amongst it were the lamb chops, when complained that the chops were smelly, chewy and red from inside the immediate response frkm our server Pranav was that it is supposed to be this was. When insisted its not he said he will speak to the manager and come back to us. Next time he came back to us was at the time of the bill, when I asked him to remove the optional service charge, he was shocked and said if there eas anything wrong and why are we asking to take the service charge off. Please don't forget we are still paying for the chops. As their name suggest they are really a Farzi (fake in hindi) restaurant. Don't bother stick to Dishoom or any other restaurant you will be ruining your evening and appetite.
Went to Farzi for lunch with a few friends and our baby, and honestly, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. For a restaurant that tries to come off as premium, it completely misses the mark. Seriously overpriced, and the food just doesn’t justify it. Compared to other Indian chains like Dishoom or Masala Zone, Farzi feels like a poor imitation. Both Dishoom and Masala Zone manage to strike a balance between great food, solid portions, and inviting atmosphere. Farzi, on the other hand, falls flat across the board. The portion sizes are tiny, and even basics like naan bread were disappointing. They were thin, small, and not worth what they charge. At Dishoom or Masala Zone, you’d get far better value, better flavour, and far more satisfying portions. We ordered a mix of starters and mains. The starters were the only highlight, especially the soya chaap, paneer tikka, and mushroom kulcha. But the mains were a letdown, with classic dishes like Rajma and Daal falling flat, bland, under-seasoned, and forgettable. These are staple dishes that can’t go wrong yet they managed to do it. On top of that, the ACs weren’t working, and we were seated right in front of a nid size fan blowing air directly at us. Not ideal when you’re trying to enjoy a relaxed meal. The restaurant was nearly empty and felt tired and in need of a serious update. Drinks were no better. The Cobra lager beer was seriously overpriced, served in a glass barely two-thirds of a pint for £8. Loot! The mango cosmo cocktail (supposed to be made by Gin) was so watered down you couldn’t even taste the gin - just syrupy and weak. Service was cold and not welcoming, and to top it off, they charged extra for chutneys which is just ridiculous at this price point. Overall: a below-average, overhyped experience. For the £200+ of money, you’d get a much better meal, service, and atmosphere at places like Dishoom or Masala Zone. Farzi tries to look premium but doesn’t deliver on anything that matters. AVOID!!
