What can I say, such a spectacular experience I've had in this beautiful restaurant. My husband booked us a table here and it was probably the best fine dining I've had after making sketch my favourite. We had the 5 tasting menu. For vegan/vegatarians the food was 10/10. Each dish that was served left us with wows. The taste was just out of the world and honestly the fact that not one dish let us down was such an achievement. The ambiance of the restaurant was absolutely wonderful and cosy. Really loved the idea of having sofas around making the atmosphere so much more comfortable. Staff members were so kind and polite, really made us feel comfortable through out. All smiles around, absolutely fantastic experience. Highly recommend this restaurant with hand on heart (Especially for vegans/vegatarians, definitely worth a try!) and certainly making another visit soon.

We came for drinks we had a wonderful time and the pianist was so talented. Staff very friendly and told us about the history of the building i would have never guessed it was a hospital! Stunning architecture, helpful Peruvian lady.

If your thinking of a place to enjoy great food , nice wines , excellent friendly service in a fabulous location then allow me to recommend The Lanesborough Grill. This was our first visit here and I can assure you it will not be our last. We arrived at the Lanesborough Hotel in it’s perfect location on Hyde Park Corner and received a warm and friendly welcome. We were escorted to the restrooms where we could freshen up before lunch. Waiting for us at reception to the Grill was yet another very friendly welcome before being shown to our table. Once comfortable we looked around the dining room which was absolutely stunning with a classic old style feel. We immediately felt so relaxed and this was to continue throughout our time here. Our lunch got off to an excellent start as we were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne to welcome us to the restaurant. We enjoyed our champagne while browsing through the menu given to us by the lovely Manuela. She along with all the staff were a real credit to the industry. This on a Sunday is a three course menu with a very good selection of starters , mains (including a Sunday Roast) and desserts. If you so wish there’s an opportunity to have a wine pairing with each course. This in the end was what we decided to choose. We started with some bread before moving on to the starters. STARTERS - To begin I enjoyed one of the best terrines to date. The Pressed Terrine of truffled corn fed chicken with chanterelle aioli and a cheddar brioche was amazing. My wife opted for the Roast Orkney Scallop with sea herbs and a lytham shrimps bearnaise and where the look on her face was enough to tell me how good it was. These dishes were perfectly paired with two fabulous wines. For the scallop a 2018 Grace Madeline from Cullen Wines in Australia and for the terrine a delightfully light and fruity Schaller French Pinot Noir. Before we moved on to our main course we were in for a really nice surprise as from the kitchen came a complimentary additional course of a Coronation Crab Salad with a curry and lime sabayon which was beautiful. There was even an extra pairing to accompany this dish a 2014 Domaine de Chevalier. This was a fabulous gesture from the team and when we spoke to manager Daniel we asked if he could pass on our thanks to the kitchen. MAINS - Well if our starters and our extra treat were a delight what was to follow was pure indulgence. My wife chose the Rhug Estate Lamb with roast aubergine stuffed lamb belly , natural yoghurt , spiced lamb and coriander dressing. For myself I went for the Beef Wellington with caramelised roscoff onion , tunworth cheese potatoes , pale ale and honey which was absolutely fantastic. Another two excellent wines were to accompany each dish. The lamb was paired with a 2017 Henschke Barossa and the beef a Torcicoda Primitivo 2020 full of black fruits and chocolate. DESSERTS - After a nice little break it was time for desserts. My wife though decided to opt for the supplemented Cheese Course where you were able to choose five cheeses from a fantastic selection of British and Irish cheeses accompanied of course by a glass of port. For myself I chose the Caramelised Brioche Pudding with burnt orange purée and buttermilk ice cream and a real delight it was to. This was paired perfectly with a 2017 Jurancon. We finished with coffee and petit fours to bring to an end an absolutely fabulous afternoon. The food was excellent , the wine pairings were perfectly matched , the staff are so friendly and professional and all this in a stunning location. This is definitely a place I would highly recommend and will certainly not be leaving it very long before I return myself. The menu on a Sunday is priced at Three Courses for £75 and the Wine Pairings are Three Glasses for £55 and when you consider the quality of produce and the location I easily consider this to be of great value. Thank You Daniel , Manuela , Shay , Diego , Zilbe for your amazing hospitality and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

We had a lovely meal here Saturday and everything was just stunning. The food, service and atmosphere was beautiful. The live music was truly delightful and we loved the atmosphere around the restaurant. The glass ceiling was stunning and made the whole room light up. The food was incredible and the selection was great. I especially loved the pumpkin agnolotti. The wine and service were great too and everyone was super friendly. I definitely recommend a drink in the Library first too!

A beautiful room and the perfect setting for afternoon tea. The staff were all super attentive and the vibe was really serene. The cakes were good but the real star of the show was the finger sandwiches, I actually ordered more! Price-wise, it's what you'd expect for afternoon tea at a hotel in London and stepping through the doors felt like stepping into an oasis on a busy Saturday. Would defo recommend for afternoon tea!

The food and service were excellent The restaurant was a beautiful setting The starters were the Dorset crab which we’re delightful and the cheese soufflé very tasted the beef wellington was great as was the sirloin of beef vegetables tasty and roast potatoes crispy and full of flavour all though could have been hotter which was a shame for dessert we had the lemon tart and the burnt orange brioche which were both excellent overall a very good experience and a mention to Denis who was an excellent server looked after us the pianist was really good too

Absolutely superb ! - Travelzoo voucher From the moment we walked into the restaurant the service was impeccable. The sommelier came up with an excellent red wine ( and end of evening cocktail ) within our budget and the staff were helpful and extremely friendly. The food was tasty and the fish was cooked to perfection. May thanks to Husna and all the team at the Grill for making us feel very welcome

This place is fantastic. I came here for breakfast before leaving to the airport. The doorman was very cordial and took my luggage to the cloakroom, then kindly directed me to the breakfast area which was very elegant. Great place for a relaxed and quire meal. Food and service was top notch. Will definitely come back.

I absolutely adored this hotel, me and my Mum visited for the set menu lunch and it was faultless! Sea trout was cooked to perfection, the complimentary bread was so flavoursome, and the dessert quite possibly one of the best I've ever had (which is a lot!). From the moment you arrive, everyone is on hand to escort you to where you need to be, very welcoming and nothing is too much for them. Interior is beautiful, very traditional. Thank you to the entire hospitality team at the Lanesborough for making us feel special, I look forward to returning in the near future!

It's the 2nd time we've been here and again met all our expectations. Great food lovely presetation - perfection. All staff very friendly and helpful from the moment we entered to the time we left - from the doorman, concierge, to all restaurant staff. They all made you feel special. Waiter explained our food each time course came out Set menu great value for money especially if using Travel Zoo vouchers. Extra drinks a bit steep but what you expect from a 5* hotel. We will definitely be back again. Not many photos as enjoying the experience and food too much.

Had a great evening in the restaurant. The layout of the restaurant is spacious, grand, and comfortable. Think it gave us a very relaxing vibe for a wonderful family and celebration occasion. Great choices from the set menu and the team is very attentive and knowledgeable. Think it really enhanced our experience of the evening. Good food quality and I left feeling satisfied and yet not too full from a three course meal.

We booked lunch for my boyfriend's birthday in September and they gave him nice card. The interior was fantastic and romantic. The presentation was lovely, the food was really tasty. The bread to start was my favourite, our mains were tender, and the confections was a nice way to end our lunch. Had an overall pleasant time, would visit again.

Excellent. Amazing food, superb service, beautiful ambience. The meal and bread with butter outstanding well worth the experience. From the entrance to the wait staff the service was pleasant. As a delightful surprise, they treated us to a complimentary dessert. 🤩

I recently visited Lanesborough Grill with my best friends to try their three-course festive menu, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The evening began with warm bread and butter—simple, yet comforting and fresh. For starters, I had the terrine of duck and corn-fed chicken paired with a laminated truffle roll. The combination was rich and indulgent, with the truffle adding a luxurious touch. My main course was the cod and shrimps, which was the highlight of the meal for me. The dish was beautifully presented, and the flavors were perfectly balanced—delicate yet flavorful. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into crafting this plate. To end the meal, I had the honeycomb and caramel yule log for dessert. It was a sweet, festive finale that felt indulgent without being overly heavy—a perfect way to conclude the evening. The service at Lanesborough Grill truly stood out. Both the waitstaff and the sommeliers were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, enhancing our experience significantly. The restaurant itself exudes warmth and coziness, making it an ideal spot for a special festive meal. Overall, Lanesborough Grill delivers not just in terms of food but also ambiance and service. I’d highly recommend their festive menu for anyone looking to celebrate the season with elegance and flavor.

A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience – 5 Stars! From start to finish, my experience at The Lanesborough Grill was nothing short of outstanding. I have specific allergy concerns, and the team managed them impeccably, ensuring I felt completely safe and well taken care of. They accommodated my dietary needs with ease, adapting dishes without compromising on flavor or presentation. A special thank you to Francesco, the Manager, whose deep knowledge of the menu and attention to detail made all the difference. He took the time to guide me through each dish, providing reassurance and enhancing my dining experience. As for the food—every single dish was a showstopper! Beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and crafted with evident skill and care. It was a true culinary delight from start to finish. The combination of impeccable service, exquisite food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere made this a five-star experience. I cannot recommend The Lanesborough Grill enough and will certainly be returning!

We had Michelin set menu today. Superb service, fantastic food and reasonable price for what we got. This is a very good experience. Loved it! Champagne was amazing. I also got a champagne cocktail. It was also great. Crab Macaroni was fantastic. Beef Wellington was super tender. I also really enjoyed the dessert and the after dessert gift sweets. Amazing overall.

I took my best friend for her birthday on a Friday evening taking advantage of the £52 3 course meal offer via the Fork App. The hotel is sublime of course with stunning decorations and incredibly relaxed atmosphere for such a formal place some might describe it as "posh". It’s a classy venue and the restaurant is like a large living room one would find in the tv show Bridgerton and tonight they had a live 3 piece jazz band. The staff are all professionals and very attentive. They sure know how to make you feel special. The food was amazing. A glass of champagne each included in the set menu price, delicious food We were waited on hand and foot tonight and really made the birthday girl feel special. Well done ! - we will be back for my mother's birthday meal and will definitely highly recommend this restaurant. Many thanks!

Absolutely gorgeous experience! We celebrated our anniversary here and everything was just perfect—the food, the jazz, the ambiance, and especially the people. From the moment we arrived, Dalila gave us such a warm welcome that we instantly felt relaxed and knew it was going to be a great night. There was also an amazing Brazilian gentleman (unfortunately I forgot his name) who took such wonderful care of us throughout the evening. He really made our night special. I’ll definitely be back soon with my mom to try their afternoon tea

I took my son for his 17th Birthday lunch celebration so it was perfect. The hotel is stunning, beautifully decorated, well staffed yet relaxed. The restaurant is fit for Bridgerton. All staff are so professional, attentive and friendly. We arrived a little bit early and they were happy to accommodate us. Our 3-course meals were absolutely amazing, so pleasing for eyes and taste buds. Brilliant set and offer. This was the first time I went back since it has changed from the Celeste. Loved it then and love it now. We cannot wait to go back again.

5 star service. A lovely dinner experience in a warm, relaxing down to earth atmosphere. Impressive blue/white Wedgwood decorations in the restaurant. Formally known as Celeste. Now English cuisine instead of French Cuisine. Very good quality. We love to come back for a fifth time experience.

I celebrated my birthday at The Lanesborough Grill and had a truly wonderful experience. The food was exceptional – every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The restaurant’s decor is elegant and luxurious, making it a perfect place for a special occasion. The service was outstanding from start to finish. All the staff were professional, attentive, and warm. I’d like to especially thank Mike, who stood out with his friendliness and genuine service mind – he made our evening even more memorable. We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

Every dish was made with great care and creativity — beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was excellent and friendly, and the restaurant itself was stunning, with elegant lights and a warm, comfortable atmosphere. It was a dining experience I’ll always remember.

What an incredible restaurant. I celebrated my 30th birthday here when it still held a Michelin star and was called Celeste. Even back then, the experience was exceptional. This time, however, it was even better. Truly five-star food, elevated by outstanding service from Jahid, who took wonderful care of us and made us feel special and genuinely welcome throughout the evening. Attentive but never intrusive, friendly yet always professional. After several mouth-watering appetisers, we chose the signature Beef Wellington, one of the best we have ever had. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the earthy, savoury notes from the mushrooms and Mediterranean herbs added an extra layer of depth and complexity to the dish. What to pair with such an extraordinary, rich, and multi-layered plate? Enter Aneesh, impeccable, knowledgeable, and a true master of his craft. I asked for his advice, torn between a Bordeaux blend and a Nebbiolo-based wine. He guided me toward a Langhe Nebbiolo, explaining in detail why it would pair better with the Beef Wellington. And he absolutely nailed it. To anyone reading this review: do yourself a favour and follow Aneesh’s genuine advice. You’ll thank me later. I’m very much looking forward to coming back soon. Many thanks to the entire team for creating such an unforgettable experience..

Had the pleasure of eating with a friend at The Lanesborough Grilll. We choosed the Festive Menu and were very happy with it, all the flavours were balanced and some surprising (definitely suggest to take the Hazelnut Brioche with the Chicken Terrine.) We also took the Tomato Salad and Hash brown from the à la carte Menu which were both delicious. The Service was attentive yet not too much and the live music definitely added some extra to the ambiance. Will come back!

Went for Bridgerton Afternoon Tea. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions so well! Truly above and beyond. The sandwiches were flavorful and moist. The scones were fresh baked. The pastries so gorgeous. The service was top tier, they made it such a joy to spend a few hours sipping tea. The unlimited sandwiches and scones, tea and coffee made this an incredible deal. I will certainly be recommending and returning!

... What is, there to say. From the moment I was greeted at the door by the doorman to leaving... Incredible experience. Every member of staff was friendly, polite and very professional, taking time to explain the food being served but also able to chat. Nothing was too much trouble. The dining room was classy. The food was incredible... From the canapés to dessert. The timing between each course was just right, never felt rushed or left to wonder when the next course was coming! The price for the 3 course lunch is great value for a Michelin star restaurant.... Will definitely be returning

Excellent service from walking through the door and throughout our meal. The dinning area is open, but still feels like you are tucked away in your own area. Beautiful settings and the food was sublime. We expected to walk out still feeling hungry but actually all felt full. We had the three course set menu and a glass of champagne which was excellent value through 'thefork' app. Perfect date night treat.

Last minute booking on a Friday night. Unfortunately they ran out of the beef Wellington but what we did have was lovely Beef tartare was v tasty - and elected to have the Dover sole for mains. My other half selecting the scallops and venison which he said were very good Good wine list - some random years but overall not bad Lovely service from the team from start to finish - will def be back!

Perfect. Staff incredible, grand settings, super food (at £70 for perfect 3-course Sunday lunch very fairly priced - just watch out for the drinks bill: £32/glass of champagne, £62/tiny glass of fab red, £120/Yquem desert wine...). Perfect Filet Wellington, Sunday roast from beautiful silver carvery trolley - all could not be better. Even an adorable house cat.

I have always felt the space at the Lanesborough is unique, as I cannot recall visiting a restaurant offering such excellent food and service while also offering a restaurant with such a beautiful, spacious, and luxurious space to dine. In particular, the vaulted glass atrium gives a huge sense of space, while tables are spaced well apart, and the dining tables are furnished with comfy sofas, plenty of pillows, and most even have large side tables - the exact opposite of many restaurants which crowd tables together. It somehow feels grand and impressive and yet cozy and inviting at the same time. The Lanesborough Grill is a worthy successor to Celeste, which I have visited a number of times over the years. The food is at an extremely high standard and the restaurant remains as beautiful as ever. The staff could not have been more accommodative and made me feel they were truly wishing for us to have an excellent meal. When we accidentally ordered an item that was not suitable for my wife's dietary restrictions, they were both graceful and gracious about it, and organized a substitute on the fly that was as delicious and beautifully presented the main menu items. I was truly impressed. The wine menu also continues Celeste's tradition of having a very good selection of options by the glass. I will look forward to another visit.

An amazing evening was had here with friends at the Lanesborough Grill. The service received by staff was truly beautiful. All the staff were so friendly and were knowledgeable of our chosen menu. We opted for a three course meal and each meal was delicious. I can't wait to go back to visit and try their Spring menu. In terms of location it is under a minutes walk from Hyde Park Corner.

OH MY GOODNESS. How beautiful is this beautiful restaurant. I was absolutely stunned and could not keep my eye away from all the intriguing details. And the customer service was beyond welcoming, everyone we encountered during our Afteroon Tea was so pleasant and wholesome. Very special people working here. We were excited to enjoy the Bridgerton Afternoon Tea. The execution and details were so fun and accurate, from the moment you are welcomed with a letter from Lady Whistledown to all the personalized details of the menu items. And the quality of the food and drinks were fantastic. I would have to say the Lanesborough tea was my personal favorite tea but we thoroughly enjoyed all of the savory and sweet sandwiches and pastries. The scones were probably the best scones I have ever had! One of the highlights of my trip to London!

We had an incredible Sunday lunch at The Lanesborough Grill. The Beef Wellington was absolutely fantastic — beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Huge thanks to Rafael for his outstanding service and warm personality, and to Giorgio for running such a welcoming and polished dining room. The apple pie was also one of the best desserts we’ve ever had in our lives. Compliments to the chefs Panos and George and the whole team, for an unforgettable meal — easily one of the best in London!

Unforgettable Sunday lunch with friends. Everyone who looked after us yesterday was outstanding and a true asset to this wonderful hotel in central. I’ve eaten here a few times and never been disappointed, from Afternoon Tea to dinner and yesterday first time trying Sunday lunch. Exceptional value compared to competitors and the team going the extra mile throughout, made for a memorable afternoon. Thank you.

We had a great work anniversary dinner. The food was great. I ate half of the trout as it was not thoroughly cooked for my personal taste but the staff floor was extremely polite and offered to re-do the dish or ask the chef to prepare another dish for me. I did not want to but I appreciate very much the high level of service, as well as the extra touch to wish us an happy work anniversary.

Delicious afternoon tea sandwiches (with unlimited refills), but I wasn't as impressed with their teas or Bridgerton theming. I made a reservation on Sunday at 4:30 pm to celebrate my mom's retirement. When I had booked several monthes back, the reservation mentioned that champagne was included, however, this is not the case while they're serving festive tea. Instead, a twist on a margarita cocktail or non alcoholic blooming wallflower drink is included. The cocktail was delicious and quite cute with a coconut edge and feather sticking out of the cherry. For tea, my mom and I ordered the Bridgerton blend and my dad ordered the Lanesborough breakfast tea. We did not like the Bridgerton blend, so my mom ordered the Lanesborough breakfast tea instead and I ordered the white choco chili tea, which tasted much better! The sandwiches were the highlight of the tea, and included turkey cranberry, egg, cucumber, and smoked salmon. There was also a traditional mince pie included. They came by with refills of all four sandwiches. The scones arrived warm with clotted cream, lemon curd, and raspberry preserve. The desserts were my mom's least favorite part of the tea. I thought they were fine but a few seemed to taste very similar. In regards to the theme, I was not wowed. The desserts were named after characters from Bridgerton in the menu but that seemed to be the extent of the theming. The desserts looked like they could have been part of any holiday teas rather than a Bridgerton tea. Perhaps the regular tea is more themed.

Wanted to experience afternoon tea at The Lanesborough. What a beautiful hotel and inside the Grill there was impressive ornate decor. We were there for the festive afternoon tea menu. Unfortunately it looked better than it actually tasted. I found cartilage in my Chicken sandwich, really didn't expect this at a five star, prestigious hotel. The patisseries were pretty but didn't taste anything special. Staff were polite and friendly, except the supervisor who over explained on the cartilage and said it was edible. Also they got the meat free and the meat tray mixed up so my friend was confused with her sandwiches, luckily we double checked and they carried both tier racks away to check again. Overall it was nice but not of the exceptional quality you'd expect from such a reputable hotel.

The Americano was tasty but not worth £9, the tuna tartar was nice, the bread was very oily and hard to eat, the beef Wellington was very crumbly and separated easily so Bob Bob Richard was much better, the dessert tart was not bad, the birthday mousse was good, the servant Daniel was friendly. I’d say it’s more like coming for service not food, I prefer the afternoon tea here so will only come back for that.

A

This tea and environment is lovely - what I am not happy with is the management deciding for me that I need to give to their charity. They do not ask- they put you in the uncomfortable position of having to ask about it. Ask me don’t force me that Is bad manners.

It was a strange experience as the doorman only greeted my husband. In the restaurant the waiter, Rafael, only greeted my husband didnt acknowledge me, only spoke to him about the food. Then another waiter offeeed me a neck massage!!! The staff certainly need training in gender equality.

I really wish I could say we had an amazing meal here, but unfortunately, we did not. I am a cook and I was really looking forward to this meal as this place has great reviews. I booked this for my birthday. The venue is absolutely stunning. The atmosphere and jazz band were amazing. Their wine list is extensive and expensive. We ordered a bottle of Morgon beaujolais, which is one of my favourite wines. However, the food was a massive letdown. I had the scallop to start. Absolutely tasteless! Hubby had the tuna, which was nice but nothing special. We ordered a side of tomato salad, which was nice, but there was absolutely no seasoning on it. This is sacrilege. Tomatoes must have salt! We shared the beef wellington. I prefer my own, I have to say. Not much beef inside, way more mushroom to beef ratio. The sides were cold on the plate, and the truffle mash was ice cold. The red wine jus had split. When the waiter poured the sauce all over the plate, he really should have noticed that the sauce had split, but he was oblivious. When I mentioned the ice cold mash potato and veg, a manager came over and made a huge deal of bringing us more mash potatoes. I am attaching photos. If you zoom into the beef wellington, you will see the split red wine sauce all over my plate. This put me off ordering desert as I couldn't take any more disappointment. Our bill was £300 including a £31 service charge. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the environment, the music, the service, the wine. But the thing I was looking forward to most was the food, and I was so underwhelmed.

Absolutely tasteless and expensive. We went for lunch today. The starters were decent, but the main course, the meat, was terrible. It was tough to chew, hard to cut, and of very poor quality. The desserts were bland. We didn’t enjoy anything at all. It’s a real shame about the money and time wasted. Half an hour later, we barely made it to the restroom; on top of everything, we got food poisoning

I believe that this is single-handedly the worst dining experience I’ve had in an upscale restaurant. First of all, the cost per person was much higher than normal for what was offered but I could have glossed over that fact if it wasn’t for the extremely poor service and experience. The “gift” that was part of the Christmas experience was unique per person but included items like a small marmalade jar; something that I would consider unacceptable as a wrapped gift as it was very obviously the restaurant’s hotel breakfast offering. Anyhow, during the meal we requested that duck liver be omitted from one of the dishes. The dish was presented to us by the waiter as “having no duck liver” during serving yet had the ingredient inside. When we complained about this to the waiter after trying it to confirm it’s duck liver, the head waiter came back and apologised saying it was most likely a “language barrier” issue between service and the kitchen. I thank god there was no allergy involved. To top everything off, the jam that was given as a “gift” from Santa was accidentally cleaned up by waiters during one of the meal stages in what I can only describe as comedic at this point. Overall, I would not recommend anyone to visit this establishment until they either revamp their approach to service, lower their prices, or preferably both.

We came for my wife’s birthday lunch. The atmosphere was good, but the service staff clearly lack experience. They forgot an appetizer and didn’t put some items on the side I requested. Ordered a Coravin wine and the inexperienced waiter made a huge mess of the glass with spray of my St Julien. Then the mains came … my wife’s fish was inedible, fishy and springy. My sirloin was bland and raw in the middle … I had asked for a medium. Clearly poor quality beef and fish and terribly prepared. We sent the fish back and even the replacement was gross. Will never go back and I think the placed tarnishes the hotel’s overall reputation. Be warned and spread the word.
