Duncan's BBQ Co. is highly praised for its brisket, ribs, and jalapeño sausage. Customers rave about the moistness and flavor of the brisket, with many calling it the best they've ever had. The East Texas Twinkies and loaded baked potatoes are also popular. Expect large portions and friendly service.

Best Sunday BBQ place, Ever! We are regulars now. We were forced here one Sunday because the two BBQ places in Emory are closed on Sundays. So glad we came! Brisket is like butter! So moist and simply seasoned. Not a lot of silly spices on this meat. No sir. Just smokey goodness. And the puddin' was a surprise surprise. Congrats on the perfect health score to you all!
Wonderful BBQ experience! Meats are always cooked to perfection! Sauce is tangy and flavorful. They always have a variety of sides.
Fast and friendly service, absolutely delicious food! Try the Texas Twinkie if they have any (they typically sell out before everything else). Also try to get there earlier in the day if possible they sell out quite often. Amazing brisket, the loaded potatoes are so fluffy and delicious. Can't go wrong with a meat plate or a sandwich. The sides are amazing too. My go-to are the jalapeno beans and the potato salad. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often.
When we saw the volume of cars in the parking lot at lunch time we knew we had to try Duncan's, we are big fans of bbq. Amazing! We had brisket, the moistest I've ever had, the ribs were very tender and the jalapeño sausage very good. The bbq sauce has wonderful depth of flavor. It would be a regular dining experience for us if we lived closer.
OMG. Best Texas BBQ worth the drive open Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday, get there early as it is a serious fan line. Every menu item is delicious, plentiful and Morgan and his team are double awesome and amazing.
Duncan’s BBQ in Lone Oak is a must! The smoked turkey and the jalapeño sausage absolutely slapped 🔥 — packed with flavor and just the right kick. Brisket was tender, smoky, and beefy in the best way. Ribs? Fall-off-the-bone amazing. This is the kind of spot worth a detour — whether you’re passing through or making it your BBQ destination.
I live here in Lone Oak but would drive here if I didn't! We usually get the brisket stuffed baked potato... It's big enough for us 2 to share but we usually get 2 or double meat so we have plenty of leftovers! Delicious, and they are always very friendly and efficient - highly recommend!
I stopped for lunch at DUNCAN BBQ Co. in Lone Oak, Texas this week. I have visited Duncan BBQ Co. several times in the past. For this visit I wanted to try my usual favorites as well as a couple that I have not tried leaving plenty to take home for leftovers. Brisket: I ordered a portion of lean, moist as well as an end. It had deep bark with a light crust from smoke and not heavy with seasoning. I found perfectly rendered fat, the moist and end cut easily with a fork and the lean pulls apart easily with a fork- no knife is required to eat the brisket. The end allows more of a chance for taste the bark. Pork ribs: I ordered two from the middle of the rack as well as one from the end. On the middle of the rack the outside had soft bark vs crust so the entire bite was moist on the bone end. The tip was not rendered as well as I like but it had great flavor. On the end of the rack there was more of a crust which aids in giving more of a variation of flavor allowing for more smoke to be retained. Sausage: made in house with smooth grind, great seasoning, crisp casing and a hint of seasoning. East Texas Twinkie: blended meat, cheese and seasonings inside of a split, cored and bacon wrapped then glazed and seasoned large jalapeño pepper. This was great inside and out and pairs well with the supplied tart sauce. Bacon wrapped chicken leg: smoky flavor with tender and moist meat throughout. The combination of bacon and chicken in each bite is a nice changed from typical smoked chicken. This paired well with the supplied sauce made specifically for this item. Banana pudding: simple banana pudding mixed with whipped cream, fresh banana slices and a mix of solid and crushed vanilla wafers. Sweet smoky sauce is available that compliments the items but was not needed on this visit. This is a great and consistent restaurant that is open Thursday- Sunday 11-8pm or when sold out of available items. Duncan is conveniently located on US-69 HWY on the North side of Lone Oak where travelers from Greenville will pass it going South or Tyler will pass it going North. #duncanbbqco #texasbbq #loneoak #loneoaktx #texasbrisket #smokedribs #smokedchicken #texastwinkies
This place is unbelievably good! I know the "best" bbq place in the world so rarely do I ever venture to a new one, but I'm so glad I did. First off, the brisket is smoked to perfection. We got the loaded baked potatoe and it was SO much food. Second, as far as how much bbq you get for your $, there is no where I've been that's more generous. Can't wait to go back!
I am a regular at 11am every Thursday. This is very likely the finest BBQ establishment east and west of the Atlantic Ocean. You heard that right, the world. The atmosphere and ambiance is simple and perfect. You are there to have brisket juices run down your chin and the decor shows it. Sliced in front of you - you see exactly what you are going to get, he cuts heavy if anything and usually adds a slice of sausage so that you regret not ordering a pound of it. When you get to the counter, you expect to empty your wallet and be happy about it, but nope, reasonable prices. If there is ever a “special” or a new menu item, which is rare, get 3. It will likely include bacon or cream cheese and there’s a possibility it will change your life. Kind, courteous staff and always sells out, get there quick fast and in a hurry if you don’t want to cry yourself home without dinner. A destination bbq location.
This was an awesome place to find. We were hungry and driving through and sounded good. Very happy we did!! The food was amazing! We got ribs that were fall off the bone delicious. With some chopped brisket and plenty of sides. They have their own BBQ sauce that was amazing too! My personal favorite was the ribs, brisket, banana pudding, and their Cole slaw. If we happen to come back this way we will definitely make it a point to stop back in for more food.
We came here last summer on a motorcycle ride it was called Moore's Meats then, I knew the owner personally and the food was good. Not taking anything away from the original owner. But the brisket we ate yesterday was probably the best I've ever tasted. It was juicy, melted in your mouth, WOW!! I can tell you this is the place to eat some BBQ. Tables were cleaned with alcohol, after each patron got up and left. Nice place, we we're greeted warmly and the FREE banana pudding was a nice touch, and tasty too.
Wait is tooooooo long! Whether food is good or not I don' t know. When we do stop they are closed even at 4 pm. because they run out of barbque. This happens quite often. It has been about 4 years since we were able to eat there at all. It haf good food then. Today it was 1:45 pm. And still unable to receive food unless we wanted to stand in line for 35 + minutes just to reach the order area. On top of that their restrooms were out of order, a large sign was placed informing you.
I went in to get a to go order. Ordered the #1 pack. 1lb sliced beef extra lean no fat. The lady told the man that was cutting it. Got home 20 minutes away from the restaurant and opened up the sliced beef and 1/2 of each slice was fat. VERY DISAPPOINTED. My total was $45.90 and it came with 2 16oz sides and 4 pieces of Texas toast. Throwing away half of the 1lb because of the huge amount of fat. I could understand if I had not specifically “NO FAT”. He did not listen at all. Won’t be going back there.
