Wonderful afternoon tea experience on the weekend. Good loose leaf tea selection. Lovely presentation and delicious nibbles. They have a rack of hats 👒 to top off the fun atmosphere.
Chez Bacchus was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Every single dish we had was excellent, but the rigatoni completely blew me away. Rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor, it’s one of those plates you keep thinking about after the meal is over. We also had the fried rice, which was surprisingly great and had a nice little spicy kick that kept it interesting without overpowering anything. The bread assortment deserves its own mention. It was insane in the best way and set the tone for the rest of the meal. Thoughtful, well executed, and clearly done with care. Presentation across the board was beautiful, but never felt like style over substance. The food tasted as good as it looked. The staff was another highlight. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating without feeling forced or scripted. I also loved the family-style table concept. It made the whole experience feel more relaxed, more social, and honestly just more fun. The vibe was right, the food was dialed in, and the overall experience felt special without being pretentious. This is a place that gets everything right. Food, service, atmosphere, all top notch. I’ll definitely be back.
Chez Bacchus absolutely blew us away. The halibut was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the flat iron steak was tender, juicy, and beautifully presented. We also had their espresso martinis—easily some of the best we’ve had anywhere. The ambiance was just as impressive—elegant yet relaxed, with the perfect lighting and music to set the tone for a great night out. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the service. It was hands down the best service I’ve experienced at any restaurant in Long Beach in a very long time. Attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Chez Bacchus has definitely earned a spot at the top of our list, and we can’t wait to come back.
Great location for my friend's Valentine's birthday. Lovely place, server's dressed cute, great food and selection of teas
Wow! Just wow. This is the third time I’ve had the privilege of dining at Chez Bacchus. Every single time I am blown away by the service, the food and the incredible experience. Not only is Chef Danny a genius, but his food is so special and meaningful. Isaac always provides us such wonderful service and thoughtful wine pairings. Chez Bacchus is one in a million.
Went here for my birthday and the service was spectacular!! It wasn’t too crowded and the vibe was perfect 🤩 my only complaint is that they had a guy with a mic that was doing drink tasting with a group and was doing it on the microphone and everyone throughout the restaurant heard it whether or not you were a part which I thought was annoying. Other wise super yummy and takes care of their guests, they gave me desert in a glass 😋🤌🏾
We had a wonderful experience—the entire crew was incredibly kind and attentive. Our teapots were always full, and the service was exceptional. Everything was absolutely delicious.
We wanted to try some place new for our anniversary and the 5 star reviews lived up to its rating! We absolutely enjoyed the attention to detail from the sommelier, our host and bar tender. We thoroughly enjoyed our food, you can tell the farm to table concept from just tasting the fresh ingredients. Food was delicious, and presented well. The drinks that they customized for us and offered to pair with our meal was superb. Overall, we had a fantastic first experiences and will be coming back!
Exceeded our expectations. The grilled octopus appetizer was tender and perfectly seasoned. The succotash entree was surprisingly complex, with balanced flavors. And the banana banoffee dessert was perfect with a port. Service was timely and impeccable. The one thing I might ask is more mocktail options, but otherwise very little to critique. Well worth the price!
We went for a fancy family birthday dinner and had one of the most amazing meals ever! We had a variety of appetizers, salad, Tomahawk Steak (and a cauliflower steak as a vegetarian option which was just added to the menu!) and finished it all off with some beignets with strawberry powdered & vanilla cream cheese sauce. Every single thing was delicious! The craft drinks were also stellar and the staff was amazing. Worth every penny. If you want to really treat or impress someone, bring them to Chez Bacchus
Amazing food, amazing service!! Update for January 2025: They have their full liquor license now too!! Chef Danny is always bringing new items to the menu, which we love! (Some restaurants claim to be seasonal, farm to table, but never change their menu, Chez Bacchus definitely is!!) The afternoon tea on Saturday and Sunday is delightful, and a great price!!
Have an amazing 3 course fine dining experience. The food is really good and we love the atmosphere, perfect for a romantic date. The cocktails are amazing, must try "Athena". It's so creamy and smooth. Even the bread was delicious. I wonder if they sell them in a loaf? It is worth every penny!!!
Honestly one of the BEST restaurants in LB and LA hands down. Chef Danny and his team truly celebrate every ingredient they present on a plate and everything marries so well together. It's a culinary masterpiece. And bonus...not only is the food amazing but the staff here treat you like family. Also, their staff matches all your meals with the perfect glass of wine to elevate whatever dish you're enjoying that night. I've been here multiple times and I have yet to find to a menu item that doesn't exceed expectations. Both their brunch and dinner are worth checking out. It was so good one day that my bf and I decided to check out both meals in the same day. Worth it!
This has quickly become one of our absolute favorite restaurants, and is totally worth the drive to Long Beach. We have thoroughly enjoyed everything we have tried from Chef Danny and our server Isaac and the rest of the team are incredibly attentive and truly caring. From being greeted personally by the owners and then having an amazing experience, I can wholeheartedly recommend Chez Bacchus. We will most definitely be back!

Had a nice ate night here! It was so difficult to choose between the options, but the fish and the meat entrees were amazing! Also, we got the Sancerre with was exquisite! Also, our server was so kind and friendly.

Very nice experience at Chez Bacchus. Invited a fee childhood friends to catch up over high tea. The service was prompt and attentive. Food was delicious and served nicely on a three-tier tower. Nice wine selection to choose from. I had my bubbly Rosa Regale, which I have not had since Nino's was open on Atlantic Ave. Started off with refreshments and a small salad. Greens were crisp and that anchovy put in that missing flavor in any Cesar salad. Petite finger foods were enough to satisfy my palate. Best part was the overall presentation. Bravo. Will be back soon!
Best bougie restaurant in downtown Long Beach. Lamb neck and steak frites in the photo. Everything was done perfectly. And it's pricey but its all very fairly priced for the quality and level of detail. Excellent service and cocktails! Me and my girlfriend will go again

What a friendly restaurant. The owner was going by all the tables talking to patrons. Gib, our server, was excellent, warm, personable, and answered our questions. Other servers drifted by and were responsive to our requests. We were there for the Valentine’s fixed price 3 course meal. The tuna crudo, salad, sea bass, and pasta dishes were excellent - prepared very well. The sea bass was perfectly browned and cooked for the fish aficionado. The “shared” desert was more than enough for two, and one of our party enjoyed a well made latte. We’ll be back.
Excellent service and delicious food. I had the octopus, lamb, and monkey bread for dessert. Octopus seasoning was perfect with flavors that lingered and built a slow heat. Lamb melted in your mouth and the pairings really complemented the flavors. Monkey bread was beautiful ( table side flambe preparation) and just as delicious. My husband got the fried rice which we wouldn't order again but everything else was so good that it more than compensated and I couldn't reduce my rating for it. Server was knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. Lovely restaurant. Great meal. Wish I knew about it sooner. We'll definitely return.
My husband and I were flying into town on his birthday the Sunday after Christmas. We didn't have any reservations because we were not sure how we feel when we landed. We ended up wanting to go out for a quick dinner, called ahead, and they thankfully had open availability and told us to come right in. This was one of the BEST meals we have had in a very long time. The service and hospitality was unmatched. Specifically our waiter, Michael, took amazing care of us. We had told him that we were celebrating my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, it being after a holiday and at the end of the weekend, the entree that my husband wanted was sold out. Michael made our appetizer into an entree size, brought us both a fantastic glass of wine and this unreal bread basket with garlic ----all of which he had comped for us. As for the rest of the food, it was one of the best meals that we have had in a very very long time. Everything was delicious. The homemade bread is fresh and especially wonderful with the garlic. Additionally, the balsamic vinegar was amazing. My husband loved the octopus. The short rib pasta was outstanding. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, practically melting into the sauce, and paired perfectly with the pasta. Lastly, the European sea bass was cooked to perfection, tasty, and fresh. To end the meal, Michael brought us the fried-to-order beignets. This was the perfect way to end my husband's birthday. The beignets were light, airy, and beautifully crisp on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. They immediately reminded us of puff puff, a beloved Nigerian treat from my husband’s culture. The texture and flavor were very similar, bringing a comforting, nostalgic feeling with every bite. It was such a meaningful way to end the night. We live out of town, but will 1000000% be back. Thank you!!!

We went for their famous high tea on weekend during brunch. The tea is delicately prepared and well presented. The tower of high tea goodies is a good portion and a delight to consume. The clotted cream portion they served along the scones was very little. We asked for more and were served more thankfully. It was a great experience that I would recommend.
The atmosphere was fancy and the Host sat us down near the windows in the front. He placed our napkins on our laps, he asked if we wanted flat or sparkling water. We received our menus and the wine list and water very quickly. We ordered appetizer and the food came out quickly. We ordered octopus appetizer, duck, risotto, and a millefeuille apple dessert. The octopus and duck was excellent. We shared everything and it all tasted great. We weren’t completely satisfied with the risotto recipe. We came in winter and sitting by the window was quite cold. There was a large party, and a few other couples. There is actually a great place to sit at the bar to have a meal as well. We thought it wasn’t that busy for a Friday. We came to celebrate a birthday, and they brought our dessert with a candlelit on top. I would love to come again for a special occasions. The price could have been price better. The wine list was excellent. We were overall very happy.
Truly chic and priced as such. The service was very good. I would have given 5 stars across the board if the offered more entrees with tea. I left hungry. Nice location. Arrive early parking can be a headache if you do not valet. I would visit again. Also the chef is amazing. He came out to visit our table. That was the topping on the cake.

I don't know what I expected when I ordered $40 fried rice, but it was certainly the low point of the evening. That said, everything else we ordered was amazing. My only complaint, and this is aimed at many fine dining restaurants, please just write the orders down. You're not impressing me by trying to remember everything. It's annoying when the incorrect item is brought because the order wasn't written down. That said, they were quick to fix the issue.
