Egg Bred

EggBred never fails! Their country fried chicken sandwich is my favorite from the menu. Don’t forget to order the paprika spread and the avocado cream for the fries.

Downtown LB has been missing a high-end, fast casual breakfast sandwich spot, and this place delivers. We got (1) Scramble Me Softly (+ avocado) (2) The Ben Franklin (sub out ham for impossible patty) and (3) mixed berry cheesecake waffle for a total of $44. They gave us a generous helping of hollandaise sauce, so much we brought some home, as well as a side of salsa verde that were perfect toppings. Service was friendly, ambiance is hip and spacious and one of the owners took time to chat with us after. Rooting for this place to do well, and we'll be back!

What a prime location in Long Beach, you can literally see the ocean and LB downtown from here , this spot is a gem! I had the Ribeye asada burrito—loaded with flavor. The owner came out and talked to us, she is so down to earth. I need to come back for the truffle crunch burger and the Nashville chicken sandwich.

Great spot for lunch and brunch ! I ordered the Scramble Me Softly sandwich. Bun was so soft, eggs were cooked perfectly. I had it with their blood orange juice, so refreshing! Definitely would come back!

Went for the first time last Sunday and came back this Sunday because it was so good. We are slowly working our way through the menu and everything we tried has been yummy. My new favorite are the side of potatoes, so crispy and flavorful. The burritos and sandwiches are consistently good.

The vibe is super chill and the food is delicious! Great folks. I even met the owner, Goldie, and you can tell they've really put their all into cultivating this space and the food. It's a hit forsure 💥

Had a chance to dine this last weekend. It was busy, which was a good sign. Ordered the build a Benny with ham, chorizo chili cheese hash, and the berry cheesecake waffles. The food was amazing! We also ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich with waffles as the bun, of course we forgot to take a picture, but it was delicious! All the food had good flavor, and good portion sizes had enough to take home for lunch. They had nice seating indoor and out, well kept. And it’s a plus that’s it’s right by the beach… I’ll definitely be back.

They serve the gravy on the side, which is a nice touch—but honestly, I didn’t even need it. A little hot sauce on that sandwich, and it absolutely made my morning. To top it off, I tried their rhost cold brew, which was both aromatic and strong—just the caffeine boost I needed. Overall, a great first-time dining experience. I’ll definitely be back to try more!

I have been searching for a absolutely bomb tastic breakfast Sammy every time I come back from the cruise ports and the guy working there was so cool and told me that my mouth would have an explosion of flavors if I went with the ribeye and he was not wrong. This place is epic, efficient, dog friendly, and honestly just a bright atmosphere to spend your time. Super stoked to be in Long Beach and cannot wait to come back.

Steak burrito was great,very tasty,the ham sandwich had to much sauce and lettuce in it,other than that it was good but not worth $40 for a burrito and sandwich and small cup of coffee .. probably won't be coming back...

Worked in the area and Egg Bread was recommended. Front counter employee was super friendly with a smile. I had the chicken toastie with a side of potatoes and was delicious. Small critique was that some bites were a bit salty but overall good. Everything cooked to order and wait time wasn't too long. Would try again when in LB.

This place is delicious! The food is so fresh and my wife and I always look forward to coming here! The only complaint I have is the wait times, it seems like it takes nearly 15 minutes for our food to come out. If they could speed it up just a little bit, I'd be more than happy to give a 5 star review, and I'm positive business would be booming for them.

Pretty good, not a ton of options for sandwiches but they're good and have lots of flavor. The coffee however was the weakest coffee (drip coffee) I've ever had.

We were enjoying ourselves till my girl cut the back of her ankle on this built in seat. The bottom edge of the tile is razor sharp! She had flip flops on and when she stood up this shredded the back of her ankle. My first photo shows where with red arrow. Please be careful she got really messed up. I'm going to have to give atmosphere one star because of this and also the sun blazing through the front window is nuclear hot with no blinds or shades or any way to get away from getting fried by it as you sit here and eat. Also tried to move from the bench to the super uncomfortable metal chairs. We ended up just grabbing our food and leaving to go eat at the beach. Great food great concept but the building needs some work. It's kind of shabby in there and dangerous we found out unfortunately. This really ruined our morning.

I wanted a grilled chciken and added apple wood bacon burrito 🌯 was charged a courty fried chicken. Charged for grill and bacon. It was a lot of meat like I wanted it its just my eggs wasn't done. The green sauce mixed with red 🔥.

I ordered the RIBEYE STEAK & EGG sandwich and it was absolutely fire. Thin-sliced ribeye asada, sharp cheddar, fresh cracked over medium egg, lemon-dressed arugula, caramelized onions, roasted pepper chimichurri, and a smoked paprika spread—all stacked on a toasted Japanese milk bun. Every bite was flavorful and perfectly balanced. I added a side of chorizo chili to customize it and that took it to another level. Rich, spicy, and packed with flavor. Definitely recommend! If you’re in Long Beach, Egg Bred is a must. Can’t wait to go back.

First time here but I'll be back. Ordered the sausage burrito, they put lots of sausage. It also had cheese, eggs, and potatoes. Very tasty, best without the salsa. Rated 7.6/10. Got the egg and bacon sandwich, very tasty, but the sandwich needed to be filled out some, I tasted too much bread. 7.9/10. Got the potato fries, these are great tasting 7.8/10. The staff was nice. Their water tasted like bathroom tap water. The bathroom wasn't cleaned well. The dining area was clean though. Very few customers and they close early during the day, 2p.

This place was very busy when we were leaving, so I get the high star rating, especially because of the service was top notch, which is why I gave it a higher rating. The food is good, its just not our preference. We tried the chicken fried sando and the chopped cheese sando. I gave it four stars because the sandwiches were just slightly on the sweet side for my husband and I. We both like savory foods for breakfast. The battered fries were good and my favorite thing. The atmosphere was nice inside, but I gave it 3 stars because their ventilation is horrible and the whole restaurant was smokey. But it was smokey from the frying. Thankfully we didnt neednto go anywhwre afterwards because we both walked out smelling as if we were standing over the fryer. Our clothes and hair were just saturated. It made my stomach turn. They had a fan standing by one of the doors blowing inside air back inside the restaurant. And their 2nd set of doora were closed, so there was no where for that smoke to go.

The food is very good and the price is acceptable. However, it took them 45 min to finish my order 1x sandwich and 1x burrito.... and im not even exaggerating. pre-ordering is highly recommended!

Large breakfast burrito. I was disappointed with the taste. Customer service for me wasn’t great. I watched as they greeted selectively. I didn’t feel welcome. Watched as they stood around doing nothing, and used their phones. Don’t believe me? check the cameras. The only person working hard was the cook.

I live close by so was really hoping it would be incredible. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Like others said, the kitchen is a mess, which you could overlook if the food was delicious, but they don't have that going for them either 🥲 I got the bacon breakfast burrito and it was 75 percent potato. 😐 I would not go back or recommend this place to anyone.

Why did you all feel okay giving me burnt waffles, thinking that the cream cheese and berries would cover it up? I’m pregnant, and drove all the way to your establishment now, I’m upset because how do you burn waffles? Turn the heat down or pay more attention. The burrito was decent, though. Will I go back? No.

Went in to try 3 menu items including the chili con carne burrito which was 18 dollars. The items took 43 minutes to make which is unbelievable. No one should be waiting that long without being warned about the time and only to receive decent food.

We’ve had this issue multiple times. Egg Bread advertises delivery to the building, but they don’t actually deliver, the food is just left sitting there for hours until we come down and get it ourselves. They also never answer the phone when you call about your order. Each time we’ve gone in, the woman at the front has been openly rude, condescending, and dismissive instead of offering any help. Her attitude is consistently unprofessional and is the main reason we’re done ordering here. Egg bread hire better staff !!!!!

Took my family here. We oredered a bacon breakfast burrito, chorizo burrito, sausage sandwich, Nashville chicken sandwich, and a chopped burger. None of it was good. It seems they just add ingredients to try and make it good. Sometimes it's better to leave it out.

I’ve ordered from them 2 times via ubereats and doordash. first time they completely messed up my order and this time they gave me someone else’s order! you can’t even call to contact them which is totally not cool. unfortunately, i won’t be giving them anymore chances.

Ordered three things in-store. They were out of all of the juices and seemed to not care. The cold brew i ordered did not taste good. They ran out of sausage too. It took 25 minutes for them to complete the in-store order. The food quality was not worth the wait. While we waited we placed an online order for an estimated pickup at 12:17. It was not ready until 12:40. Yhis was happening to all customers. When we asked the employee she just said " yeah, the owner can adjust the wait times through the app" but clearly that wasnt happening. The owner was present but this place really seems to need a stronger leader. It was very over priced as well. The food was so-so however, because of the experience, I will not return.
