We went here for date night on a Friday. It was absolutely delightful! The servers were entertaining and friendly and very very attentive. The food was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! SO TASTY! I HIGHLY recommend the flatbread of your choice. We got the shrimp one and the meat lovers and both were AMAZING!! WE also had the lemon pepper chicken wings (dry and wet)... both were great but wet was my favorite. Then on top of all the ambiance and good service and food, there was a live band. Really really nice!!! Get on over to Risü... you won't regret it!
Risü [risu = 'smile' in latin] is a hidden neighborhood gem located on the beautiful Rainbow bridge right by to the LB Convention Center. With a spacious patio overlooking the LED bridge and a pristinely kept rose garden, Risü is a great spot for parties, dates, families, and solo adventurers alike. The restaurant is casual, modern, and suave, has good bar selections - check out their tequilas- and even has live music on Fridays and Saturdays. The staff is skillful and personable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, bartenders Merredith, Samantha, Mayce, and Kevin make great cocktails. The kitchen is small but mighty, if it’s super busy, expect some wait time for your food. American-style tapas, salads, tacos, sliders, and flat breads. I enjoy pretty much everything on the menu, spicy shrimp appetizer, a very unique salmon wrap, delish chicken wings, healthy salads, and out of the flat breads, the short rib wins my vote. Risü is dog friendly (ask about their pup dish), has dedicated garage parking, and is open daily at 11am. Don't miss out on their happy hours :)
Beautiful place food is 🔥🔥🔥 drinks are good. The outside is gorgeous. This place is a must go place. And free parking. The short rib fries and shrimp and surprisingly the tofu tacos amazing
Cesar was the absolute best! He was such a vibe and showed me and my girlies the best time without sacrificing professionalism. Excellent customer service! He was EVERYTHING!
Risu is seriously that spot in the neighborhood – think "Cheers," where everyone knows your name. It's where all the locals hang out, not just for a quick bite or a drink, but for that super comfy, familiar vibe and amazing quality that's always on point. First off, the bartenders at Risu are awesome. They're not just making drinks; they're genuinely friendly and make you feel right at home, whether you're a regular or just popping in. They're pros at making all your favorite cocktails, but what really sets them apart is that bomb tequila! Lol. Risu has an insane selection of additive-free tequila, which means you're getting the good stuff, pure and authentic. We're talking top-shelf brands like Siete Leguas, El Tesoro, Chamuco, and Ocho. If you know your tequila, you'll be impressed, and if you're new to it, they'll guide you to something you'll love. Last, but definitely not least - let's talk about the food – Chef Marcos is a magician in the kitchen. Seriously, everything he makes is just excellent. You can taste how fresh his ingredients are in every single bite. Our crew is legitimately obsessed with his fresh salsa and pico de gallo – they're seriously bursting with flavor. It's clear that Chef Marcos puts a lot of love into his cooking, and that makes every dish not just tasty, but genuinely satisfying and memorable. Honestly, Risu is way more than just a bar and restaurant. It's like the heart of the community, where great food, awesome drinks, and top-notch service all come together to create an experience you won't forget. It's the kind of place you'll want to keep coming back to.
Great place to chill after your work day (or in my case my convention day). Definitely get reservations if you have a group. I sat at the bar and it was awesome. Alyssa serves up a great martini 🤙🏼. Super friendly wait staff, great drinks, and tasty tapas. I'll definitely be back here when I'm in town again!
We wanted a quick lunch and we found this restaurant right next to the Convention Center in Long Beach. We ordered their bacon salad and added chicken in it. We also ordered the tuna nachos. Our orders were served to us fast but most importantly, the food was delicious, the quality was great and the service was excellent!
We went in on Valentines hoping to get in even though the sign said reservation only, and the manager was so incredibly accommodating! The waitress, I believe her name was Katarina, was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She got us with just the right foods to make our nice that much more special. I would definitely come back again. Also the atmosphere is really good as well with the outside seating.
Enjoyed a lovely happy hour here on a Saturday evening after the midsummer Halloween convention. The flatbreads were all $10 and we had the short rib which was good. The appetizers were half price, great deal. The brussel sprouts were very unique compared to anywhere else I've tried. The ahi tuna tostadas were also very good, would order again. Drinks were strong and good👍 surprisingly not too crowded which was nice too. We got to see people walking from the convention center in their costumes which was fun. Nice staff!

Great place for a date or meet up with friends. Food was well priced. Limited party size if you don't call ahead time.
I came in on a monday, right when happy hour started and didn’t leave until late in the evening! The atmosphere here is great and the drinks are DELICIOUS. Andres was able to provide us with great service and good drinks. He really made the experience a 10/10. I will definitely be coming back and hoping he is there
Risu is a fantastic restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and amazing service. The cocktails were perfect as well. We will definitely go back again soon.
Food was fantastic, all four of us loved our happy hour meals. Only gripe was slow service for a Monday night due to them being short staffed with only one cook and server. Despite this, quality of the food was not compromised. We'll come back!
Spent the weekend at the Westin down the street from this place for a work conference. Came in for dinner last night with some colleagues and was served by an amazing server named Drew, they recommended some great things to try, we loved all of them! The atmosphere is great, there was live music playing and the service was quick. Everything was so yummy! My girls and I had to double back this afternoon to have lunch, where we were lucky enough to be served by the same great server! Will definitely be making this my go-to place from now on 🫶 thanks Drew!

Excellent location for nearby attractions and venues. Not a lot of indoor seating and outside was a little chilly. Bring a jacket. Come early for a pre-show bite or cocktail. Service was with a smile but slow. Food from the offbeat menu was worth it.
New American spot in Long Beach. For takeout for dinner on a Friday evening with three other friends and split a few dishes. We had the brussel sprouts with bacon on the side per our request, fries, shrimp tacos (3 to an order), mushroom flatbread, and a salad. Portions were on the smaller side so finished all of the food. The flatbread was good to share and the fries were thin cut. The shrimp tacos came with blue corn tortillas; we got that since they were out of the short rib tacos that night. They had live music playing which was cool. There’s underground garage parking.

The food was really good but they were short staffed. The food came out very slowly and piecemeal. we were there was almost 2.5 hours for dinner and dessert.
Everything was disappointing, the service, the food. You have to ring to get upstairs and they don’t answer the door buzz or the phone number that they provide. We had to be let upstairs by somebody that lived in the building. We also had. A reservation but they didn’t care about it since it was seat yourself anywhere but that wasn’t an issue. The tables were wobbly and some chairs were broken. The plates given to us were dirty and the tables werent all that clean. It was dark inside and not in a cute charming way. The service was slow and it took the workers wayy too long to go attend to the outside tables, even though most of the tables are outside. The server was odd, and clearly his coworkers thought so too. It was super loud and overwhelming with horribly clashing playlists playing in the background. It was a relief when the live music came on because it got people to quiet down and the soundtrack got turned off. The shrimp flatbread was not good, the classic old fashion was sweet when it shouldn’t have been. The only things that were decent were the bahn mi sliders and the ris-tiki.
Terrible experience. We arrived at 6 pm Thursday night to go to a show across the street. The waitress came and took our order and only returned after we requested her 45 minutes later to get more drinks. At that point we had only gotten 2 of our items of food we ordered. An hour and 20 minutes into our order we only received about 1/2 our order. They were obviously understaffed both in the kitchen and on the floor. The food that came out was good but the speed of the kitchen was beyond slow. We will not be back when we return to attend the Distinguished Speaker Series again next month. Extremely disappointing. They need to get their kitchen straightened out.
My husband and I really wanted to try this place because the food looks amazing and the ambiance too but we weren’t able to do that because the opening bar tender last Saturday was awful. We asked him if we could sit on the terrace ten minutes before opening to rest our feet since we’d been walking around at the apparel convention next-door all morning… he basically shooed us away by telling us to do whatever we want but no one will come talk to us or be able to help us until at least 1145… when you guys open at 11:30….. better luck next time if there is a next time, I guess.
