I had a great experience with this coffee class. Not only did I learn the fundamentals of coffee, but I also had hands-on experience using a professional commercial espresso machine. The instructor was energetic and engaging, explaining key concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand way. The combination of theory and practical practice made the learning process very effective and enjoyable. I walked away with real, usable knowledge.
Genuinely can’t believe this place has been here for so long and I had no idea. So close to Hunters Point, but on the other side of the tracks so hard to find. Worth the visit. Deconstructed latte was amazing, work space and WiFi were great. Clearly they know coffee.
This place blew my mind. I had the most flavorful espresso. A natural process Colombia, but tastes as if it is co-fermented with fruits. Absolutely asking place. They also teach coffee. Coffee enthusiast heaven
Nice cafe with plenty of seating. They sell both blends and single origin coffee beans roasted recently. A little tricky to find but worth while.
Such a fun coffee spot! It’s a coffee school where they brew some amazing, fresh coffee. My wife got the deconstructed latte and the barista broke down how to experience it. There was a seltzer, espresso, frothed milk a cookie and the latte. It was so yummy! I had the coconut latte and it was amazing with the perfect amount of kick caffeine and coconut flavor with chunks of coconut on the bottom. Coconut is my favorite flavor in almost everything. This place is a must if your in the area.
This place serves delicious coffee and chai lattes. I've visited multiple times to try their new offerings, and each time, I've been impressed. Their baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, taking great care with each customer's order. As a result, the taste of their coffee surpasses homemade brews and the coffee from typical cafes. Additionally, they sell coffee beans, making it convenient for those who enjoy brewing coffee at home. The location is somewhat secluded from residential buildings, turning this spot into a hidden gem in the area. Moreover, they offer coffee training courses for those interested in learning more about appreciating and crafting coffee.
If you’re looking for high quality speciality third wave coffee in LIC, this is it. While you have the grungy aesthetic, pretentious staff, and decent coffee at Sweet Leaf, here you have an elegant space, professional and friendly staff, and top notch coffee. Coffee beans: 5/5 absolutely amazing, delicious beans with a diverse collection to choose from and frequent new releases. I appreciate their selection of beans with a variety of processing methods, especially many of the newer methods. Drinks: 5/5 besides the typical drinks at a coffee shop, they have some unique ones which are a delicious treat. I love that they also have a variety of pour over options here, which is great if you’re interested in buying their beans and want to try a cup before committing to a whole bag. Space: 4.5/5 very spacious with several seating options and an elegant aesthetic. My main issue with the space is lack of outlets for working from a laptop and the only tables next to an outlet are a bit small for me. Service: 5/5 all of the staff I’ve interacted with are friendly, helpful, patient (bc as someone who’s incredibly indecisive, I need that), knowledgeable, and skilled (one of their baristas, Flook, is a recent US latte art champion I believe). My only other issue is the operation hours. Wish they were open longer or else I’d visit far more often! Otherwise, it’s one of my favorite coffee shops and roasters.
The owners of Coffee Project are kind and intelligent. They know their coffee. I participated in their SCA recognized training and grew so much in my understanding of coffee. This is the place to go if you want great coffee and to know more about it.
This place is a gem in LIC. With amazing people and amazing coffee tastings. Their innovative products always give me surprises. They now have many coffee shops in NYC. I would love to see their continuous growth!
The closest NYC gets to the magic of Koffee Mameya in Tokyo. Several roasts to try, brewed perfectly. Absolutely worth the journey. One of the best pour overs in the city. Friendly staff happy to discuss their entire process. Cool industrial vibes.
Great cupping events to showcase some Korean coffee roasters and their beans. The co-fermented coffee beans might be too funky to me :/
What a wonderful place and people. Coffee tasted amazing and just by standing at the bar and asking questions, I was able to learn so much from the barista (Sarah, I believe!). They offer brewing and tasting courses — we plan to be back soon to take the classes and pick up more amazing coffee here.
I took the barista basics with my friend. We both left feeling a lot more confident in our skills and have already signed up for a second class. Kaleena is a great instructor she really knows how to break concepts down so they’re easy to understand. We learned so much in 3 hours and got a lot of hands on time. If you’re wanting to learn more about coffee on a professional or at home basis I would highly recommend checking out Coffee Project.
Great roastery and coffee shop with excellent customer service. Lots of seating and even an outdoor courtyard. I can't wait to check out their Manhattan locations.
Great flat white! I hadn't been that impressed with one of their Manhattan locations, but this one seems to have it on.
Had the best pandan latte here a few months ago. It seems like they no longer have it :( please bring it back🙏
Best coffee in long island city. They roast their own beans and also hold classes as well.

A cool cafe with a clean, modern aesthetic. Plenty of seating. The only drawback is that everything is a bit pricey (e.g. a specialty latte costs $8.5). The turkey & provolone croissant sandwich was the most surprising. I’ve eaten countless croissants in my life, but this…it was hands-down one of best croissants I’ve ever had. I’ll come back for the croissants for sure.
Great coffee! Drink selection is wide and varied, even for non-coffee (more than just tea). Staff an service are impeccable, a real delight. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
coffee preparation was exceptional for both pour-over and flat white. very impressed by the baristas here. we found it surprisingly difficult to find true speciality coffee in NYC: coffee project academy competes with the best of Copenhagen and Berlin.
Hands down best espresso and best coffee shop anywhere! Thanks Peace!
