They were extremely nice. They was patient with me while I was trying to get my app to work and let me know that I could return to get my rewards once the app starting working. Which it never did but thats not their fault. What I brought was on point sour dough salted pecan. I recommend this place any day.
I never heard about this place but I was craving donuts yesterday so I did a quick search “donuts” and this location was the first to show up. I go inside and the smell was marvelous! The donut display is so unique, impossible to not crave one however since it was my first time here, I didn’t know what to get and took a long minute to decide but the worker was so patient 😭 so I ended up buying one “tres leches” donut. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!!! SOFT AND FRESH! I almost teared! And the worker kindly added 2 without me noticing and it was actually the 2 flavors I was eyeing for a minute as well 🥹which were “apple cider” and “pumpkin”, THOSE WERE ALSO TASTY!!! My most favorite one though was 3 leches and apple cider! Thank you very much to the person who added those 2 extra donuts! I will come back and purchase more! I love this spot ‼️
Best doughnuts around. No contest. Love pretty much all of them. Great seasonal flavors. Favorite standards are coffee, coconut, vanilla bean and blackberry jam, blackout, black and white. Also got a custom ripple recently and that was great. And dough flowers are also tasty.
They have AMAZING donuts! My wife and I started at “sweet chick” on Vernon in queens and we ended up here for desert. Call this a double review if you will but the combo of both places and for a decent price is the best meal I can ask for
Mmhmm! My favorite Doughnut Plant! It is always fresh with great service. The area has a ton of businesses and a couple of schools so you have to make sure you get here before 2:00pm to choose from the full display of donuts. I’m vegetarian and don’t worry about gelatin fillings here. Everything is fresh and delicious. Plus I get rewarded when I purchase with the app!
Hi , the coffee here is excellent ! Jennifer the super kind manager is so nice and sweat ! She made my coffee with foamy oat milk so freaking good! The vibe here is peaceful the only thing I wish they had is sugar free and baked goods not regular fried donuts . They look really good though if you are into that .
If in doubt, you can never go wrong with the crème brûlée donut!🍩🤤
I haven’t been here in a long time but today we were passing by and wanted some doughnuts. They have some of the best and unique flavors and types of doughnuts here. We got a coconut cream, creme brulee, carrot cake, and tres leche. Their chai latte is also very good. The doughnuts are rich and taste exactly like their names with no weird artificial aftertaste.
Best donuts without a doubt. No question about it. Even though the cake donuts are smaller they are worth getting over the yeast ones. Matcha green tea, Strawberry and blueberry are amazing but they aren't always available. A little pricey at around $3 per cake donut. Worth every penny though!
I would share a picture of our order, but my husband and I dove in before we could. These are some of the best doughnuts I have ever had. The Creme Brule and Brooklyn Blackout are amazing. Soft cake and decadent chocolate filling and smooth, delicate filling in a toasted sugar doughnut...absolutely delish. My new favorite doughnut place.
Great place. Square doughnuts, who would have dunk it? Some filled like some places fill the crust of a pizza with cheese. Many different fillings which are all great. Somewhat expensive but worth the trip..... Sorry DD
Extremely good place vegan donuts are the best and strawberry donut was my favorite. Good coffee and great customer service thanks guys!!
Wow. I only just started eating gluten again, and I try to only do organic and wild fermented etc. I was recently learning about how doing sourdough makes things was more digestible as well. I ordered their orange vegan doughnut and MY GOD .,.. so good! I’m super picky. And I can’t stand all the processed fake food that is common in America. Even a lot of the supposed health food isn’t that good. This doughnut was angelic and I could’ve eaten 4 back to back. Not sickly sweet- just tasty and the sourdough flavor plus the sweet was so delicious. I would LOVE if they started offering dairy free and gluten free doughnuts as well. I know a lot of ppl like myself have a hard time with cows milk for obvious reasons.
Victor is the best barista here yet. I was getting ready to give up on this place but he saved the day today!✨
The carrot cake donut was DELICIOUS!!! So far I've had the peanut butter with banana cream it was good but I'm not a fan of cream fillings. I've also had the coffee donut ice cream sandwich it was good. I got my wife the classic chocolate sprinkle and Brooklyn blackout she performed the blackout. I've also tried the Vanilla bean sourdoughnut I liked it. Would definitely eat from here again.
Marina the manager was the sweetest person who greeted me with kindness & the best customer service. She provided ample knowledge about the donuts & business—made me a loyal customer as soon as I met her.
I came in on Father’s Day. Was having such a terrible day the line was so long but Mia was such an amazing person made everything better. Her customer service is top notch!! I recommend coming here every single time ! I’ll be coming back forsure!!
I love the atmosphere, donut and coffee is an amazing combo from them. Now the workers are all amazing. Robbie lifts the spirit or the establishment with his lovely warm heart and kindness. That’s just one of the many great workers there. Make sure to stop by and grab a cup and donut and have a great day 😊
Gary at LIC was great!! excellent customer service!!!
This spot is in the building my therapy’s office is in so I’ve been passing it by it every week for five months. I finally tried it today and was very impressed! I tried their vanilla bean doughnut and I kid you not it tastes just as good as a Krispy Kreme doughnut! I also tried their iced chocolate glazed latte and it tastes like an iced Mexican chocolate! I’ll probably treat myself to this sweet treat after every therapy session after my little cry sesh 😭😭 If you want a sweet treat in the form of a doughnut and iced latte, this is the place!!!
This place is phenomenal. The doughnuts are amazing, the staff is amazing, the atmosphere is very welcoming and Robbie is awesome!!! I really hope they expand and open up locations on Long Island, where I'm from. I am confident they will thrive!!!!!!
The gluten free doughnuts are really good!! They are dairy free as well. You can’t tell the difference. I wish they had more flavors. Staff was great!
Doughnut Plant is a must-visit for fresh doughnuts in NYC. Huge thanks to Mia for an incredible catering order that wowed everyone at our event. The doughnuts were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Highly recommend!
Best place to get vegan sourdough doughnuts 🍩 😋 oh ! The coffee are really good as well 👍 I had a latte with oatmilk
The doughnuts are excellent but $$$ We went mid day last weekend and service was ok.
I went to this location right before they closed for the day and witnessed a customer being super rude to the girl behind the counter. She had an attitude and was demanding and making a lot of requests. Elizabeth, the only worker at the store did an amazing job handling such annoying and rude customer. She was very patient and tried to accommodate all the customer’s request. Then she took care of me and my daughter and helped us out with the same calm attitude and provided great customer service. I super recommend Doughnut Plant! And this specific location. Delicious doughnuts and outstanding customer service.
One of the best tasting coconuts DoughnutI have ever ate 👍
Donuts are delicious and SO much better than the chain restaurants. They have a lot of fun options and flavors to choose from. While the place is a little secluded and out in the middle of nowhere - I still recommend! Make the time to head to Queens and get some donuts one Saturday morning!
This was my first visit and it definitely was not a disappointment. The donuts I selected were really good. I was able to taste a variety and enjoyed all. I’m looking forward to returning and selecting some other flavors. The gentleman behind the counter was a gem.
Great experience and solid vibes. The mocha has specialty imported chocolate according to the staff and let me tell you, I can taste it! Strong flavor without being overly sweet. Tres leches donut was fire! Nice abs moist as a tres leches cake would be. Not overly sweet that it makes you have a sugar overload. Would recommend for anyone on the area. About a 10 minute walk from the feather Factory Hotel.
Literally thought I hated coffee before I came to this Doughnut Plant. I used to only get coffee when I was half asleep and would force myself to drink it, but now I actually get one to have as a lil treat because they make it so delicious. The doughnuts are also amazing; my faves are the tres leches and the blueberry cake. And! They have monthly and holiday specials that I always enjoy trying out. The staff is also always so sweet and everyone makes me smile every time I walk in. Obviously highly recommend!!
Hard to go wrong with any doughnut here. But if I had to choose, I'd recommend the Brooklyn Blackout for a cake donut, and vanilla + blackberry filled for a yeast donut. The Vietnamese coffee is also fantastic. So glad they have a location in Queens! I've been here many times on the weekends, and they always have a good selection.
Ah yes, my SANCTUARY!!! Lost without this gem whose doughnuts made me feel like Gods favorite!!!! Mosading truly gave us the BEST experience and best selections and we bought with the intention of taking home a few— but we HAD to keep trying them all STAT and didn’t make it out of the store without eating each and every one of them!!!!! They now live rent free in my brain!!!! the seasonals are always a must try AND the gluten free baddies are everything and more!!!!!!! MUST visit— MUST ask Mosanding for her selects 💋💋💋
Doughnuts were fantastic! Vegan and gluten free options available. Coffee was great as well! Friendly service!
Have a small selection of gluten free doughnuts/cakes, so I could join in the fun!Hubby had a really nice chocolate hazelnuts doughnut. Has one table to sit at
Fantastic experience from start to finish. A special thank-you to Gary and Victor for their outstanding service—both were attentive, genuinely kind, and incredibly helpful, which made the visit even better. The doughnuts were incredibly fresh, soft & flavorful. I also really appreciated how thoughtfully everything was prepped and packaged for travel. Consistently excellent quality, service, and attention to detail. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Long Island City. 🍩
Doughnuts are heavenly delicious. Definitely flavors are out of this world. I would say a bit pricey. I guess splurging once in a while with these fabulous doughnuts is just fine…
Mosading took care of me. Her service was excellent! Super friendly and helpful. Made my custom order pick up a breeze. I had been wanting to order from DoughnutPlant for a special occasion for YEARS but always missed the 72 hour window for the specific date I wanted so was happy to finally get to do it this year. it was so good! I’ll be back :-)
I usually go for fluffy or chewy donuts, while my wife prefers the cake-like ones. That means we almost never find a donut shop that satisfies us both- but today, we finally did! I’ve honestly never seen a place that nails both styles so well. Donuts are my soul food, and I’m picky about them. It’s not just fried dough rolled in sugar. At least not when it’s done right. These donuts were perfect. The apple pie donut was a touch sweet for my taste, but the apple chunks on top added such a great texture that I still enjoyed every bite. I imagine it would pair beautifully with a simple Americano. I wish this little gem existed in Pennsylvania, but I’m just so glad we discovered such an incredible donut shop within driving distance on the East Coast.
So the fact that I got 10 doughnuts myself and truly sat at the dinner table with a knife to eat a bite of each one … I never felt so much excitement. Brooklyn Blackout, Apple Cinnamon Sourdough and COCONUT CRÈME. Shout out to Mia & Thomas for the recommendations.
Love at first bite is right! Doughnut Plant is a staple of New York and one of my fav places for gourmet doughnuts in NYC. The food is a-mazzzzzing. The vibe is cool and the service is always on point. They have lots of gluten free and vegan options too! Tried the Tres Leches cold brew for the first time and loved it! If you are in the neighborhood you have to check it out. :)
A little hard to find, I’ve been to the other locations in the city and especially love the downtown location this one is in an office building but has its own entrance! I ordered my favorites the jelly donut which is square love that, blueberry, crème brûlée, chocolate, tried the new apple cinnamon not really a fan but I have my favorites anyways! Always worth a try! Staff was nice and super awesome guy was there the night I went!
Delicious specialty donuts ! Been to multiple locations around the city, and have always felt satisfied. They is a large selection of various donuts, but my favourites are their tres leches and sourdough salted pecan. They also will have limited edition flavours depending on the time of year (tried the St Patrick’s spiced donut today). Will continue to visit donut plant for a sweet treat.
A clean, efficient stop for novel donuts, solid coffee, and related yummies. Seasonal zingers plus staple classics. Creamy textures and flaky surfaces, and some artisanal flavors alongside the typical notes - or splashes - of chocolate and vanilla. Popular place to grab a variety and cut them up for work meetings.
Doughnut Plant was wonderful! The treats exceeded my expectations and the staff this morning was very welcoming. There is not a large amount of comfortable seating, but then again... my doughnut was not around too long. Thanks and I look forward to coming back next time I am in NYC!
Doughnut Plant released a collaboration with KITH & The Simpsons yesterday. It’s a real version of the iconic doughnut eaten by Homer Simpson in the series and it looks so adorable. Each doughnut served with a special and delicate box. It’s only available until tomorrow, Jan 24th at LIC, LES, Williamsburg and downtown Brooklyn location. We highly recommend to visit as early as possible. The doughnut tasted better than our expectation because the texture is puffy & soft. The vanilla & raspberry icing is creamy and rich but too sweet. *There is also milkshake and soft serve at KITH Treats.
Doughnut Plant is my favorite doughnut franchise in the city. Love their cake doughnuts especially, not much of a yeast doughnut fan. The only negatives I have to say are that they are kinda expensive considering they’re doughnuts, they sell out fast and they are just too good to stop eating at just one. My one piece of advice is to place your order for the doughnuts before coming in. Their website price is normally cheaper than other food ordering services. This one particular location I visited had great staff but the dining space was very limited. I recall the seating is limited to three or four.
I have been eating these doughnuts for about 10 years and they have always been the bomb until after covid! Now its hit or miss. I often find jelly doughnuts with barely any jelly! Very upsetting! Hopeful that they re-evaluate their current situation
As far as quality and taste definitely one of the best donut I've ever had. I had the coconut cream, the dough is so soft, the cream filling is light and delicious. I love the different varieties of flavor and everything looks so yummy. As far as price, it's pricey for a doughnut. It's definitely a good donut, good to try at least once.
Food is good but please start covering your drinks with plastic wrap or stickers when getting delivery. Not only is it a huge safety concern and just gross, I can’t count the amount of times the drink has spilled in my bag all over my food bc of this.
I was really excited to try these donuts... but frankly felt very disappointed by the lack of flavor... it also wasnt really worth the price too for the lack of specialness... the peanut butter jelly one had subtle peanut butter frosting/crunch on top with a jam inside. It wasn't too sweet but I was expecting more from it. The Blueberry one was nice and very moist... but really small and nothing special. The creme Brule one would have been the best had it not tasted burnt.... the strawberry crumble was horrible, we didn't even finish it. The coconut cream one was... overwhelmingly coconutty and it was just too much. I would come back to try their other donuts but I would err on the side of caution and come with friends so I'm not stuck with a yucky donut on my own...
The whole point of a donut place is getting fresh-baked donuts literally warm out of the oven. This is just a drop-off point of an unseen bakery. Same thing for Krispy Kreme in Astoria. What's worse is you're paying about $4 for a day-old cold donut. Or not, because I walked in and didn't smell anything, that smell of donuts being made. I looked up at the prices and turned around and left. It's just a boutique.
The focus here seems to be more on making clever flavors than making the best donuts. The donuts are just alright, but they're probably the most expensive donuts you'll ever buy. They go for clever flavors and presentation but the donuts just don't taste as good as other, simpler places. The peanut butter and jelly donut is fine... but I'd probably honestly prefer a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the cost of the thing. Go down to Greenpoint to Moe's for the best donuts in the area.
I was very excited to hear that Doughnut Plant was coming to Queens, as it meant I wouldn't have to make my way to the city. However, this place definitely lacks customer service. I wouldn’t write this if it were a one-time thing, but it has happened on multiple occasions. I came in on a slow day and had to wait for a staff member to finish their conversation in the back, and they seemed upset when we wanted to order an iced latte. Another time, my fiancé wanted to grab a coffee before heading to the city. They were set to close in 45 minutes—not 10 or 15—but she was met with, "I already cleaned the machine; you can't order a drink." The donuts are great here, and they do sell out, which is understandable given their reputation. But the service definitely leaves much to be desired.
I ordered two classic cake boxes and four gluten-free donuts for delivery, but only received one classic cake box and the gluten-free donuts. While the items I did receive were delicious, the lack of customer service was extremely frustrating. I tried reaching out via email and phone multiple times, leaving messages with no response. I even went to the physical location, where a very kind and apologetic employee explained that he couldn’t issue a refund but gave me another number to call. Unfortunately, that also led to another voicemail and again, no response. I'm giving two stars: one for the tasty donuts and one for the helpful employee I spoke with in person. But honestly, do not order online! If there's a mistake with your order, there's no reliable way to get it resolved.
I made a special trip this morning to try out these donuts based on their IG photos and decent reviews. Took a while to find parking but I was determined. When I entered I wasn’t greeted, the staff member just looked at me, waiting for me to speak. I told her I had never been here before so was looking over their offerings. She still said nothing. I decided to try several donuts (even though these are extremely pricey!!!!) out because the flavors seemed so different and interesting. When I got home I found that my order was wrong...Pooh. The donuts are big, I guess hence the hefty price but the texture, taste and moistness of the donuts is very underwhelming!! The best was to describe them...is a combination of sponge cake and stale bread. The only redeeming quality of these donuts was the icing flavors. The best donut and perhaps worth the price were the coconut cream because it actually gave enough moisture to choke down the donut. The yeast donuts were definitely different than any other donut I’ve had but not in a good way. The pistachio icing was good, again but the actual donut part...not good. Same with the chocolate, vanilla bean and banana cream. The cake donuts are tiny (but still expensive). The leches cake donut was again dry but where there was a little hint of leche it was decent. Very disappointed, won’t be back. Overpriced, very underwhelming and I didn’t feel like a valued customer from the get-go.
These are not just not good, they are bad. Bought 6, 3 people tried a bit of each and one was worse than the next. The creme brulee was the best of the worst, I guess. If I hadn't eaten anything else today, I'd think I had covid because they were mostly flavorless. I can't understand it, they look great. We actually threw them out, mad I wasted the $5ea on these. The whole AI stoic robotic vibe from the counter guy wasn't a great impression either. Sorry, I very much do not recommend this place. EDIT - After speaking to the man who replied, I've upped my service score because he was very helpful and nice to talk to.
Just gross! Let’s start with saying I use to come here often but the other day I noticed a heavy set white woman cooking eggs and I assumed this bakery stood away from eggs and meat!! To my surprise this morning heading out from my overnight shift I witnessed two workers were being intimate in the bakery around 4:15 am. ARE YOU KIDDDING … where you bake goods for the public and it’s the same white heavyset woman! This is a circus I can only assume she’s the new boss in town making her rounds! Never returning and my social media is going to love this.
The donuts and coffee are great but terrible service today. I went to get coffee and donuts at 5pm and they close at 7pm. We went to order coffee and he said NO coffee because he cleaned the machine a whole TWO hours before closing. Why?! Then messed up my doughnut order. Terrible service.
Doughnuts and service are good. Only issue? Subpar coffee. They must change it or brew it better.
Rude service by that chunky dude serving. Not listening gave wrong order and greets you with an attitude. Thank you doughnut plant for giving me a reason not to comeback to this branch and please to anyone stay away. Good doughnuts bit service will always stick after.
