I ordered the Miso Ramen and was blown away by the flavor! This cozy spot has great vibes and service. Will be back!
Yummy spicy ramen with super tender pork cooked to perfection! The service was a standout, very friendly and attentive. We will be back! Their ice cream is also so smooth & yummy I can’t wait to get it again 🍦
Delicious, flavorful, and fresh - the food here is thoughtfully made and you can taste it with every bite. I am a huge fan of the Super Kinoko rice bowl (mushrooms are to die for!) and love ordering it with a fresh side of tuna poke. Service is also impeccable. Lert’s menu recommendations are always top notch! If he suggests a special, I’m always ordering it 😂 also, can’t forget to end your meal with some home-made ice cream!
Me and my good friend came here a few days ago for a small meet. We had 2 bowls of ramen (forgot which ones) and we had 2 cups of matcha and an iced latte. We loved the service here. We assume it was the manager serving us, very attentive. We had a girl come give us our ramen, Very professional but also cute restaurant. It seemed like you walked into someone's home to eat and it felt nice. We will come again. Such a nice and calm and clean place. Staff was nice and professional and attentive and happy. Been going to this restaurant faithfully for years and love the interior, the decor, but the FOOD!! Always incredible ramen, and I travel from Brooklyn regularly for their karaage and chicken dishes. Love the hojicha, matcha, and sake options. And always have a great experience with staff.
It was such a great find! I was looking for something warm and cozy, and this place hit the spot. My coworker and I stumbled across this little gem, and we were pleasantly surprised. The ramen recommendations were spot on, and the service was quick and friendly. We may have come at a less busy time, but everything moved smoothly, and we never had to worry about waiting. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.
Found this while we were around Gantry Park. Really nice atmosphere especially in the evening with their playlist. Other than the food, they also sell soft-serve, matcha from matcha days, and hojicha from kettl. I had the matcha latte with oat milk (they offer oat, macadamia, almond milk), it was just OK. Staffs were helpful. It was a little packed on a Tuesday evening, might need reservation. Would come back and try their other menu.
service was good and the space is cute. i tried the grilled chicken meatballs and the nori fries for appetizer which were both yummy. i didn’t expect the fries to be more like home fries, but they were crispy and flavorful. the ramen was a complete letdown. the broth was mediocre and the noodles had a weird, almost plastic texture.
A family friendly restaurant that’s fun for the kids and cozy for adults. We liked the drinks and appetizers - hojicha latte and chicken wings in particular were highlights. Ramen a bit bland for adult palette but was good for my toddler. Some at our table found the food to be under seasoned.. but I prefer less salty food so that was great for me. In general, the restaurant is perfect for drinks and small bites. Unfortunately, the ramen kind of misses the mark, but I’d definitely go back for other food.
tldr: looks nice, quick & kind service, cute plate setting, but food doesn't taste as good as it looks. Very lovely atmosphere and service, and I appreciate that they have black sesame lattes and good quality matcha too. However we came for the ramen and were utterly disappointed. We got the dan dan chicken with the takumen broth. It was only salty and watery, with no other dimensions of flavor. It just tasted like salt, soy sauce and sesame oil with some chili on top. I can make better ramen at home. Also for the price (and for an authentic ramen) I expected it to come with a marinated egg as well, but I guess that costs extra.
Really good food. Good portions, too. But somehow, I was still a bit hungry. The hanger steak was very good; all three condiments for the steaks were good. The crudo was good, but as an entree, it was a bit small. Tried all their desserts. But too bad they don’t have the waffle, and they don’t make the donut anymore.
The atmosphere is great, however the food is mediocre. I came for the cilantro ramen but found it to be too bland. The spicy miso ramen is a bit better. The sides are so expensive for their serving size. For reference, the avocado salad and potato salad are $7.5 each and a tiny dish of cilantro is $3.5, which I find rather unreasonable.
This Japanese spot is right next to the 7 train, at the first stop in Queens. The interior is cozy, with lots of seating, and service is good (although they REALLY do try to upsell you on things, even after you said no multiple times—ie. additional toppings, drinks, desserts, etc.). They also have an ice cream shop here (Taku Parlour) that is available (but unfortunately, sold out when we went). We got their soy garlic wings and their ramen. Their wings were good but a lot of the pieces were really small. And, although the pork chashu in the ramen (I got their wantan men) was super soft and tender, I felt that the ramen was way too salty for me. Moreover, it doesn't come with an egg and if you do decide to get an egg add-on for $3, it comes in an egg cup and hard-boiled (as opposed to in the ramen and jammy/soft-boiled). Overall, I thought it was an alright spot, a bit pricer, and I'm not sure I would come back for their food.
Very cute and clean vibe at the restaurant. We went for lunch and got some appetizers. Lots of vegetarian friendly appetizers however we thought the two mains (veg ramen and rice bowl) were lacking in protein options (no tofu and egg cost additional). The veg ramen broth was very salty as well. We felt a bit pressured by the waiter who seemed to keep trying to urge us to order more food for the table and dessert even after we let them know we would not like any dessert. For the price we will most likely not be coming back.
I used to love this restaurant when I came here a few years ago, since the food was really good back then. But my most recent visit was an absolute disappointment. The food was shockingly bad. Two different chicken dishes had almost the exact same seasoning, and we had to wait a long time. The ramen was the worst I’ve ever had – I stopped after just one bite.
